Had an airbag recall for my 2015 Wrangler. Was told parts not available for a couple of weeks,so made an appointment in person for 2 weeks out for 2/25. Dropped the car off late night on 2/24 and requested an oil change as long as it was there even though it wasn't due yet. Received a call from Jason the morning of the 25th explaining they had no recall parts in inventory, but they would do the oil change. I asked why no follow-up prior to my appointment and he had nothing but an apology. He is always professional and courteous, but he was put in bad position. My wife and I had arranged our flight schedules to accommodate this appointment,so I feel some type of follw-up procedure needs to be adopted to assist your customers with their scheduling. I know your shop is busy and time needs to be scheduled efficiently, but customer's time is a valuable commodity to them. This is not meant as a rebuke, maybe just a suggestion for a policy change. Thanks!

Horrible customer service right now I bought a battery from them and some shady ex employee didnt do sale the right way so now they want me to buy a brand new battery even though it has a 36 month warranty on it and it's a 2015 Chrysler that it's for. Now if I dont want to buy a new battery I had to leave battery in service to get tested and wait for call then go all the way back to dealership when they call me. I asked to talk to parts manager and manager never came out to talk to me I am very disappointed with the service!!!!

Great place with great people to help you in your car buying journey. Doug Downey was very helpful in finding us a Jeep in the color and all the extras we were looking for. I had been to another dealer which didn't seem interested in going out of their way to find a car with our specifications. At first I wasn't sure which Jeep model I wanted but with some information Edgar Larios knew exactly what I was looking for, he took me out in a Sahara and I realized that it was the model I wanted. Jay in finance was very helpful, and after a few hours we were able to purchase our Jeep. Thank you to everyone at Jack Powell!

Took our van in for service for the same problem w...

Took our van in for service for the same problem we took it in for two months prior. They didn t have an appointment for several weeks because the transmission tech was not available. My appointment was at 8am but the lady who scheduled it said just come in any time after 8 because I know you have kids to drop off at school. I arrived around 9am. When I spoke to the service tech they said they didn t know if they would get to it that day because their transmission tech was super backed up. We are still under warranty so they gave us a rental. We didn t hear from them for several days. On Wednesday at 3:15 they called my husband and told him our rental is due back at 5pm that day or we would be billed for the rental.

No explanation of what was wrong with or done to our vehicle and they expected us to drop everything and have the rental car there in two hours.

Some info about the status of our vehicle would have been nice and some advance notice on rental being due back would have been awesome as well.

When I went to pick up my van they didn t tell me what was wrong with the vehicle, I had to ask. And they didn t do anything to try and fix the problem. These cars have been known for transmission issues so the service advisor just said it runs like the other vehicles like yours . Well no joke, because there s something wrong with the transmissions. He said they haven t received a service notice from the manufacturer yet so it s probably something with the electronics since electronics run everything in the vehicle . Not helpful.

Anyway, I m mostly irritated with their lack of customer service and giving us two hours to return a rental with absolutely zero notice that it was due back then. Thankfully I was at my mothers house just down the street but if I were at work this would have been a huge problem.

Recently went in at the last minute - days before Christmas - to lease a new minivan and couldn't be happier with the service and our new ride! Oprah and Jonathan were so helpful and accommodating - even during one of the busiest days of the year. If you are in the market for a Pacifica, Jonathan is your guy! Thanks, again, for your help picking out the perfect car for our family.

This was the fifth dealer I contacted for leasing of a Pacifica Hybrid Limited. Alan matched the original offer on the exact color combinations I wanted (the first dealer didn t have the color combo I wanted, the others either couldn t match offer or didn t bother)! I drove over 70 miles to get the car. The only downside on this transaction was I waited over an hour for them to fix a technical issue before going in to finance to sign contract! They didn t even push me for any added extras! The most painless car buying/leasing experience I ve ever had!

My total experience at this dealership was very professional from the day we decided to purchase our 2015 3500 RAM Laramie Longhorn Crew Cab. Our salesperson Jason posses a very professional attitude and intently listens to our questions and concerns. He followed up with answers to our questions regarding specific items on the truck, as well as delivery updates. We appreciate his all of his efforts in the process of purchasing of this truck. We will share this experience with our family and friends.

Jack Powell Dodge is not the closest Dodge dealer to me, but I got tired of the terrible service at Bob Baker, and it is worth the extra drive for me.
I have been working with Amr since I moved over to Powell, and I have been very pleased with his responsiveness and willingness to explain things, or look up information for me.

The crew at Jack Powell took good care of me. I gave them specs, they exceeded them, and I ended up getting an extremely excellent deal. They were glad to see me leave with the new truck, but I am betting they are even happier than they wont have to deal with me any time soon. LOL I am just suprised the police are not coming over to arrest me for GTA.

Went in for a oil change recently, and as always I'm so pleasantly surprised by the manager Omar! Every 8K miles he sees me and remembers my kids and asks me how my life is going. He always takes the time to answer my questions and has been nothing but a genuine pleasure to work with. Will keep going here for a long time to come.

Great and quick service. Went in for an oil change one day during the week and the young gentleman gave me information as to the best time to come in when no wait. Went later in the day at that time and was the only customer in line. In and out in 35 minutes for oil change and tire rotation. My service rep was a really nice and personable. Really like the service department here.

I had excellent service when I took my 2015 Cherokee in for its first service and a recall. It was sad that the transmission needed to be replaced. It was under warranty, so there was no added cost to me, however, it would have been nice to be given a loner car or rental paid for due to the inconvenience. I didn't ask.....Darrin was very nice and accommodating otherwise. I love my Cherokee and would definitely recommend Jack Powell service dept. to my family and friends. Thank you, Darrin, for such good service!

After looking for my dream Wrangler, I finally found it at Jack Powell Chrysler. My husband and I worked with Jonathan and have nothing but great things to say about him. You could tell he was very genuine and truly cared about his customers. I'm only giving this review 4 instead of 5 stars because the sales manager (Roberto, I think was his name) tried to tell me the optional add ons were mandatory on my new Jeep if I wanted to buy it. After going back and forth with him, he magically was able to take around $8k off the price... At the end of my sale, I was very happy with the price because 1) they had it marked almost 4k under KBB 2) they accepted my trade in which was totally going straight to auction 3) Jonathan hooked us up with a $500 military discount. The guy who finished up all our paper work was the highlight of our night. He was such a pleasure to work with. More dealerships need guys like him and Jonathan. Thanks again for the new ride!

Got into the express lane for a quick oil change on 26 Oct. Over two hours later I am still waiting for my Chrysler van to make it back from the car wash. In the future let me know that the wait time is going to be unreasonable. In the past the service has been much better so hoping this was just an anomaly.

BUYER BEWARE! We bought a used truck from these yahoos and was told it had gone thru 120 pt inspection, right, they screwed up the paperwork, the truck was back in a week for brakes that were bad, the truck never got registered as they forgot to weigh it for the state, they lied about what they would cover and now two months later after overpaying for a warranty I need four new brakes they quoted at over $800 and a new exhaust manifold! Called to talk to the manager and the front desk sent me to a robot, when I called back twice to front desk it goes to a voicemail box...Horrid place to buy a vehicle BUYER BEWARE!

Frustrating experience! We went to the dealership ...

Frustrating experience! We went to the dealership & with the help of the salesman, we found the perfect car with the features we wanted, but decided to go home and talk about it first before buying. We decided it was the one, so went back to Jack Powell's the next day and of course the car had "just" been sold, BUT there was one "exactly" like it-- but it was a newer model. We gave it a guick once over and made the decision to buy it... That was a mistake. We got an ok price for it and they threw in the gold EVTS (but they didn't bother to mention there's a $250 yearly fee for it- thanks a lot). We get home and try to get EVTS activated but... wait, they "forgot" to install it, and we noticed the radio didn't have Sirius as we were told it did. We drive 45 min back to the dealership a couple of days later (the soonest we could get there), and they install the EVTS but tell us that we're out of luck with Sirius, too bad. But they offer to sell us one for $2000. REALLY? They told us the 2nd car had the exact same features as the 1st one so we didn't feel the need to go over it with a fine tooth comb- the lady doing our paperwork at the end of the day even mentioned it having Sirius, so what the heck? We specifically said we wanted Sirius in the vehicle! And the nerve to say they'll put one in if we buy it for $2000! I'm beyond disgusted and feel like we were deceived. And to top things off, our EVTS STILL doesn't work- the "blinking blue light" just sits there, a non-blinking, non-blue light. So now we will have to do another 45 minute drive back to the dealership, and we won't be listening to Sirius.

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!! When I purchased my truck they sold it with a 6 year old battery. They replaced it when it failed 1 week later but when I asked how often are you supposed to change the battery and they said 3-5 years. Obviously they KNEW to replace it..

I was broken down working in Ramona when I live in Chula Vista because of it. Then they refused to tow it when it was their fault so I had to drive all the way back up to Escondido on a faulty battery because of them.

Second issue is when I got the loan I gave them my insurance to send to them.

Now I found out I'm being charged $3500 because they failed to send in my insurance to the company. Been nothing but problems. I'd just go to a different oneaybe either better reviews.

Just like their counter parts at San Diego Chrysler Dodge Jeep. The service department NEVER answers the phone. They also never called me to tell me that the "express lane" oil change was done after 4 hours. Then tried to sell me on more maintenance. I don't think I'll be buying a Jeep in the future, the service doesn't seem to match up with the competition. It's a shame, Jeep used to be a great company.

This time they got it right! The 1st time concern...

This time they got it right! The 1st time concerning this particular issue was in May of this year when I took my 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland in for what I thought was a transmission leak in that it was a pink fluid consistent with that of tranny fluid color. The mechanic misdiagnosed it completely. The service writer hadn't kept me up to date on the repair delay until I visited only to discover that the driveshaft had been removed and I was told that it wasn't pink but black grease that was leaking. Very insulting. I'm not color blind. I was incensed both at the needless repair; the time delay; and not being informed--to say little of having to get a car rental. The pink fluid leak continued off and on in very small amounts but this month after discovering a larger puddle of pink fluid on the garage floor I made an appointment through Darrin who convinced me through process of elimination type questions that it was most likely a coolant issue connected to water pump/thermostat failure. He was correct. Darrin took a few days off and in his absence while the car was being serviced, Matthew handled it to completion and kept me apprised of everything. I wished the first had been the last. Thanks to Darrin and Matthew this contact was much better. In light of hating it the first time and liking it this time I rate it OK.

Had a great experience purchasing my brand new 2019 Ram 1500. I first looked online and was contacted by Dan Casselman the online sales manager. He arranged for me to see several vehicles that met my needs. When I went to the dealership I was immediately met by Nic Cuccinella who is also an internet sales manager. Nic was very patient and showed me all the vehicles that met my criteria. He then really fought for me to get be the best deal possible. I got a great deal and all of the sales staff and finance people where awesome. Even got a full tank of gas when I left! Will definitely be a return customer.

The service itself was ok but the customer service was horrible. I paid for something i thought should be covered by my warranty. The service clerk told me it was too late on a friday to contact corporate to find out but promised he would on Monday and would definitely call me back.

5 weeks later and nothing on that...but i've been contacted by phone twice and by text asking for my review and I detailed the issues...both people i spoke to said they would have the customer service manager contact me to resolve but never a single word from anyone.

Do not trust these folks!

Overall, I've had mostly good experiences with them. Like most dealerships, getting work done on your car is very expensive but they run a great deal for an oil change package. They use to have 3 oil changes for under $100 but have changed it to 4 oil changes + 4 tire rotations for $200. No appointment needed for the oil changes and they do them pretty quick, even when there is a long line they'll have you out of there in under an hour most of the time. The staff is friendly and they make it convenient.

We bought our van here less than 2 years ago... it is a used vehicle but unfortunately I feel like we were scammed into thinking we got a good vehicle. Within the first year the engine had problems, the car overheated and next thing you know it was one problem after another. Despite reaching out to them they claimed there was nothing they can do uness we put additional money down for another vehicle. Not even a trade in. Now were still stuck with it. Its spent more time at the shop for repairs than actually being able to drive it. In addition I have to pay out of pocket for tow each time. I recently got an oil change.. & they overflowed my oil. Seriosuly I dont know what more to do at this point with this car. This is a loss and lesson learned for us. Especially after given excuse after excuse.

Excellent service with a smile even when I brought my poor caravan in covered in dirt and bugs after my check engine light suddenly came during a long ride back from up north.
They squeezed me in without an appointment and had my car fixed in under two days with everything being covered under warranty! Such a relief!! They even returned it to me sans dirt and bugs! Extra mile, gone above and beyond!!
Thank you, thank you!

LIARS! ... AVOID!

LIARS! ... AVOID!

I went in with my end of lease vehicle and decided to take advantage of the 0% financing on a new vehicle. Oprah was so nice and assured me everything would be taken care of on the lease and I could take home the new truck that day. After expressing how during the pandemic things were tight she told me I would not have to pay for the end of lease fee and that the inspection was fine and I shouldn't have to pay for anything.

A month later I see I still owe almost $900 on my lease. She did not waive the end of lease fee and I was charged for a less than an inch scratch for excessive wear and tear. Upon contacting her I was told not to worry and she would take care of it.. But a month went by and nothing. I told her the account was past due and I needed to get clarification. Nothing. Didn't return my calls, and would get yelled at over text.

I contacted the manager, Michael Lopez. He apologized and told me he would take care of it. After returning my call a few hours later he told me I needed to call Chrysler Capital and get the end of lease fee waived myself. Once I called I was told the dealer had to pay and they could not help me. Upon calling Michael back I left a message. Waited a week and tried calling again, he didn't return my calls. I left messages with sales associates who patronized me and told me they would let Michael know.. he never returned my calls.

So I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This dealership has a C- rating! A week went by and Chrysler Executive Office called and after speaking to someone they clarified the dealer did not meet their obligation and the fees were settled.

This is the worst kind of experience you would ever want to have with a dealership. Do not buy here.

Yesterday, 08/04/2018, I went into Jack Powell Cry...

Yesterday, 08/04/2018, I went into Jack Powell Crysler Dodge Jeep Ram to purchase a specific vehicle, with a specific loan pre qualification. I specifically told them that I wanted my credit pulled only from the bank that preapproved me. I Had the reference number provided on the printed paper work from that particular bank.

I personally dont want my credit pulls higher than 5-7 in one year, even though that is still a bit high. I'm an impulsive buyer, but I dont buy without knowing I can get what I'm inquiring about. I have had my share of credit problems and have learned my lesson how just how much my credit is looked into when I sign a dotted line so to speak.

However, as you can tell, my credit was ran by 4 other banks than the one I specified. Due to this, I would generously, yet strongly ask that communication becomes key. It's not the vehicles fault, and it's not my sales guys fault, directly. But I think if this can be made aware of in meetings that managers have with their staff, the sales and business for these places, especially car dealerships, could sky rocket, and their reputation would be because of the CUSTOMERS EXPERIENCE whether they get approved or not.

I have been in management, and I am under 30 years old. I have had to learn the hard way. But if this industry is about sales, you have to have to know that it is more about the customer than it is about you. Make a great deal, go above and beyond, even sacrifice a little if you have too. (For your company that is). And believe me, it will come back to you down the line when you least expect it.

Thanks!

Brought truck in for Finishing Touches appointment and to have them look at why the glovebox light would not shut off. They ended up needing it for an entire week to fix the light issue and when I picked it up the Finishing Touches had not been done. Darren, my service rep, was not in the day I picked up the truck and I was told to talk to him when he got back in. When I got a hold of Darren he apologized and scheduled me for another detail appointment. This time everything went as expected and both times I was given a rental vehicle at no cost. Both Darren and the rental department were excellent, I just wished the light repair didn t take so long and that I didn t have to bring it back twice to get it done right.

I purchased a new RAM 3500 from this dealership in 2008 and had multiple frustratingly poor experience with their service department dealing with warranty issues. Actually more than frustrating, some of them were what I felt to be outright dishonest attempts to avoid meeting their warranty commitments.

This was especially disappointing because prior to that experience I brought my truck to them for all scheduled maintenance and paid a premium for that service over what it could be done for elsewhere.

Now I am shopping for a new truck. I will purchase another RAM, but I will not ever purchase another vehicle from Jack Powell.

I drove 75 miles out of my way to purchase my new car from a trustworthy, fair, and friendly dealership. I was having trouble with my local dealerships lack of inventory and pulling the old 'bait and switch'. I broadened my search and was lucky enough to work with Oprah at Jack Powell. Having bought many cars in my lifetime, I must admit this was probably one of the easiest transactions I have ever had. They offered me their best price in writing via email and honored it the whole way through. They FedEx'd the paperwork to me and made the hour and a half drive to their dealership a couple of days later. I was in and out in no time and wasn't pressured into any last minute add-ons. If you're in the market for a Chrysler, Jeep, or Ram vehicle, definitely check out Jack Powell!

My 2005 Jeep Wrangler electronics started acting crazy. Lights were flashing, cd player going off and on and horn blowing. The service department diagnose it right away over the phone as a probable bad battery. This was right before closing on a Saturday night. Had it towed there and the Jeep was ready Monday around noon. It was a bad battery and a very corroded battery terminal. All is well, just a little expensive, but expected at a dealership.

I originally took my car to another dealership a y...

I originally took my car to another dealership a year ago and had work done. My Rocker arms were making a loud noise due to the oil tube shifting. They repaired it along with some other stuff which was not cheap. A few months later the same issue came back and I went back to get it repaired. Upon having a 2nd inspection they said the problem was something else that would cost me $2400. This was for a full intake manifold replacement for a runner valve code p1004. Even though the same exact sound from the same location was happening. Knowing that was not the issue I declined the repair and decided to go somewhere else.

I went to over 6 independent car shop all over San Diego along with calling and emailing many others. The ones I went to all said the same thing. It s your rocker arms or lifters making the noise. Not one said it needed a full intake replacement to fi this. They all agreed what the dealership told me was wrong. Unfortunately none of them wanted to tackle engine work to this degree. The constant back and forth with all of these garages took me a year until I gave up and decided to go back to a dealership. One of the garages I went to recommended Jack Powell and a mechanic named TY. I finally broke down and made an appointment and went down there.

A service advisor names Stella greeted me and was very polite and professional unlike what I had experienced at the first dealership. I told her my concerns and what had transpired at the other dealership. She agreed they should have fixed it and took care of the problem. I brought her the work order from the first dealership and asked if they could go over the car to make sure all the other work was correctly done. At this point the previous work was just under a year from when it was done. I did not have high hopes and expected to be charged a lot of money to fix something that should have been fixed the first time around.

Monday rolls around and I get a call that they did find the problem and it was indeed the rocker arms that were supposedly fixed by the other dealership but were done incorrectly. I had get it done so I had no choice but to go ahead with it even with the high price tag. The Service Advisor Stella said she was going to check on a few things and call me back with an update before they move forward with anything. Later that day I got a call back saying I bet you are happy that we are honoring the warranty on these rocker arms. I literally could not believe what I was hearing. She explained that due to the fact that the job was not done right the first time and all the issues I have had with trying to get this taken care of, that they would honor the warranty which was one day from expiring and would do the job over again. I still to this day cannot believe this happened.

The fact that this was my first time to them with a crazy situation like this and they went way above and beyond to take care of me as their customer blew my mind. I had other work done as well that needed to be taken care of and will be back to get the brakes taken care of as well. I have never had such wonderful amazing customer service not just from a dealership but any business for that matter in my life. Stella was so great to talk to and kept me in the loop through the entire process. She didn t come off as someone who only cares because its her job, but because she has been there too and understands what it is like. I cannot say enough about the wonderful service and the life long customer they made of me. The mechanic Ty even though I never met him did such a great job with my car.

Long story short whatever you do do not ever take your car to Bob Baker Chrysler in Carlsbad and speak with victory. All you will get is ripped off and a bunch of lies told to you to get more money out of you.

Instead go to Jack Powell and Talk with Stella. They actually care and are honest with diagnosing the issue and taking care of you and your car. I cannot thank Stella ,Ty and all the staff that help get my 06 Chrysler 300 back on the road sounding like a new car again.

Went in for a "free oil change", received my jeep back with a dent. They sent it out for repairs and it only took 3 weeks. When I got it back I sent it back because the paint had fish eyes and they couldn't see them until I circled them with a pencil. And now the hard top leaks air.
I guess it was not as bad as my first free oil change there. They broke both the hood latch retainers and when I went to pick it up the hood was unlatched.
Bottom line, I won't be back

Brought my JLU in this morning for the fast lane oil, filter and tire rotation service. Service advisor was friendly and happily used my Jeep wave coupons for all but the air filter. Was a bit suprised to see the $50 price for the air filter but is what it is when driving in dusty locations. Will be replacing next time with a K&N (close to the same price) to avoid purchasing another one in future. Would recomend based on the freindly folks at Jack Powell but make sure you have about an hour +/- for the fast lane oil change and rotation.

Everyone that I have dealt with at the dealership has been great. Especially Steve and Rob in the parts dept. They always go out on their way and do everything within their power to get me taken care of.

Thanks guys.

Thank you for the opportunity to write a review for Jack Powell.
My experience was horrible! Chris, (the salesperson), was great. After that, it was downhill.

Everyone claimed full transparency, but I was not given that feeling. For example: a vehicle is simply a widget to be purchased. We give you a check, (from our bank), and you deliver vehicle. The structure of our loan from the bank should be irrelevant.

The vehicle s tires were well worn and I he spare was bald. To those facts we were extended no allowance. One would think Jack Powell might be more understanding.

The manager, (call me old school), O feel was unprofessional as his arms were covered with visible tattoos. I am not against tatoos, but in a professional setting, they should be covered.

Keith, (the finance guy), kept us waiting well over 45 minutes. Alone in his office. Another customer, I understand, but this is no way to treat a customer with money. (Remember, we have a clear view from the customer waiting area).

Once we entered his office, he just wanted to tell stories, not work on the business at hand. We had to stop him and tell him to focus.

There are two keys to a he vehicle. One, in the end, we were not given and had to return for it.

All in all, given a choice, (there are other Jeep dealerships), I will NOT return to Jack Powell for a car sale.

Second time in for U Connect problem. Still not fixed. They say there's an update in a month that may or may not fix the problem. Also said they fixed the window noise problem which they didn't. No customer service

Our Jeep was due for its scheduled checkup; I arrived at 7:10 am and was greeted by a service agent, with in 5 minutes I was up in the waiting room and my car was ready to go within 1 hour. The service that I received was excellent.

Went to look at a new Wrangler Unlimited yesterday...

Went to look at a new Wrangler Unlimited yesterday based on pricing on a lease payment shown on the website. The price was tied to a specific Jeep/ VIN number. Once we started asking questions regarding the lease price on the page print I had in my hand, the salesman said that there's no way we could get that low of a payment and the pricing shown was there due to a "Third Party" that oversee that part of the advertising. Huh?? Serious??
