I purchased my 2017 Jeep Renegade here. I do not drive much so I don t need to have it serviced often. I live in Carlsbad so am not very close and wanted to schedule an AFTERNOON service appointment. I CANNOT!!!! ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE!!! I did not curse but definitely stated how completely frustrating and disappointing that I CANNOT SCHEDULE AN AFTERNOON APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE!! The service girl that I spoke with was very rude. I obviously made a huge mistake purchasing my vehicle here.

Great service from sales to finance at Jack Powel. Worked with Kingsland Gardner and everything went well. Worked for a week with him. Not from faults of dealer but because my work schedule. Set a Sunday first thing appointment. Showed up, he was there started working right away. The shortest and actually best time ever inside a car dealership. Great work! Keep it up, and glad to be a returning customer.

DMV Paperwork took 23 days to send in from when Paperwork was all signed and received (should have been done that day). Very bad communication. If they didn't want to answer an email question they just ignored it (no response). Among many other little things that just added up to an unpleasant experience. Even though I purchased it from another state it should not have been that bad in so many ways.

The dealership was professional, courteous, and very prompt in their service. The fastest and most streamlined maintenance service I have experienced from a car dealership. The work was without flaw and the staff was more than happy to answer any questions and walk customers through any service to be performed. This is now my preferred dealership for all maintenance!

Jack Powell CDJR is a great dealership. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation and received a great experience without a significant wait. They did a comprehensive inspection on my vehicle that let me know the tread depth of my tires the remaining brake pads for each wheel and misc other items. This is excellent service!

I bought a used 2016 1500 with 15k miles on it fro...

I bought a used 2016 1500 with 15k miles on it from Jack Powell that has been nothing but trouble from the start. For one, part of the deal was a tanneau cover which was promised within a two week time table....and took ten weeks to arrive. And even then, the "techs" who installed it couldn't get the fitment right, so they bumped my tailgate latch posts back, resulting in a slightly ajar/rattling tailgate, which I corrected myself. Then, come to find the nose end (under the hinge) leaks, which ruined several hundred dollars worth of tools during a rain storm. This was later "corrected" with foam and silicon, which a. did not last (it is leaking again, less than a year later), and b. resulted in a nice little swatch of silicon stuck to the surface of the cover. Careless.
Next and concurrent (and still present) problem is the electronics. My headlights were flickering, my interior lights were randomly flashing and blinking while in park, door closed, key out of the ignition; the dealership installed an update that corrected the flashing headlights and lessened the interior weirdness, but did not fully correct it.
Next/concurrent issue was loose running gear--which should be part of the pre-sale inspections, I'd think--along with a binding/clicking in the steering....which took three separate visits and installation of three separate components for them to determine was the steering box, which they finally replaced. Also they tightened up the running gear, but not without a letter of complaint to Chrysler first.
From day one I've spoken to them of erratic shifting and a hard downshift through first when coming to a stop, and keep being told that because their OBD sensors aren't throwing a code, there is no issue.....meaning to me that they don't want to undertake so expensive and timely a warranty claim.
Most recently, the truck went in for several recall updates, one of which has created a number of electronic issues which the dealership cannot seem to address, visit after visit, and aren't interested in anyway: I took the truck for the umpteenth time looking for a resolution to the U07 update's resulting issues, and, during that visit, I couldn't get a call back from Darren, the service advisor, and, once I just showed up to get my vehicle, found they'd done NOTHING. Not one test drive mile on the odometer, and, (they claim) the same " repair" that had been done UNSUCCESSFULLY on the previous visit.
Upon request for the paperwork, I found they doctored the invoice by adding outbound mileage (indicating a test drive that never happened)....so I went upstairs to the office management, having already dealt unsuccessfully with Gary Block, the service dept. manager. And here's the kicker: this guy, Abraham Balgian, tells me to go to an independent/private mechanic for diagnosis, and IF (if...unbelievable) there's a problem, they--Jack Powell--will reimburse me any money I tie up in the diagnostic and repair. What a joke.

At that point I opened a case with Fiat/Chrysler. Resolution pending.

BAD BUSINESS.

Recently moved back to Carlsbad and needed to find a dealership I can trust with my 2014 Dodge Charger. I believe I found that dealership! Came in for an oil change and tire rotation, Kyle took great care of me. Said it would take about 45 minutes and he was spot on.

Great service, very nice people and comfortable dealership. I highly recommend Jack Powell!

Stacy has been the best. She has far exceeded any service consultant I've had at any dealership. Stacy kept me informed and more than anything else was an absolute pleasure to deal with. It stuck out to me on every occasion that she was pleasant, to the point and really cared for me as the customer. Not that Other consultants haven't done a good job. I just felt happy after interacting with her. Very professional. Employee of the month in my book. $$$$ Take care of her. She is the face you want representing the dealership.

If you want an extremely pushy salesman and an insanely rude manager talking down to you, Jack Powell Dodge is your place. We went in to get the trade in value of our car and saw a car that was interesting enough to take a look at. I must have told the salesman 15 times that I wanted to get the trade in value of my car before he actually did. Instead of simply getting the info that I wanted in order to see what I could afford, he kept trying to run my credit. The salesman wasn't rude, he was just very annoying and pushy, more than I've seen when buying any other car that myself or my family or friends have had.
THE MANAGER WAS THE COMPLETE WORST PERSON THAT I HAVE EVER HAD THE DISPLEASURE OF MEETING!!! He was rude and even more pushy than the salesman. First off, he was trying to give me a terrible trade in value which was significantly less than what Kelly Blue Book says. Once I told him that the car that I was looking at wasn't the right fit, he got even worse. He started saying that his "guys weren't getting paid while working with us" and that is when we had enough. We ended up just walking away while the manager was yelling things like "you don't know how to buy a car" and "thanks for wasting our time." ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How did this joke of a manager get to the position that he is in?! I have never had such horrible customer service at any place in my entire life, let alone a place that I would consider dropping thousands of dollars at! I can go to Best Buy and work with 17 year olds that have better customer service and sales skills than these amateur salesmen did. Unless you specifically enjoy a rude, obnoxious, and pushy sales team that treats their customers with disrespect, you should never go to Jack Powell Dodge. This was the worst car experience myself or my family has ever had and would gladly drive over 100 miles to go to another dealership that can actually act like respectable adults. In regards to the manager's comment of "thanks for wasting our time," I am now happy to have wasted your time considering you definitely wasted mine.

It would be a lot easier to describe what's wrong with the competition.
Buying a two wheel drive was my second choice but along the way I felt it necessary to settle for a two wheel. At that point it become somewhat easier, so the morning I stopped by I can say it was mostly happenstance. The Ram was very attractive and had exactly the options I wanted. Since this was my second purchase from Jack Powell within six months I expected good service and I certainly received it. I stopped by the next morning and got some brochures from you for a gentleman I met in the coffee shop
while my new truck was being made ready. I would be glad to talk about some interesting common flaws in the industry and there are many in my humble estimation..but only in private.

We had a great experience! We live in Orange County and after having a horrible experience in Huntington Beach a family member put us in touch with Jack Powell. We dealt with Chris Davis over the phone before making the trip. When we did drive all the way down, Chris honored everything he had promised. There was no changing the offer, no "sorry we can't do that" for some made-up reason, no hard sell of unneeded extras. It was the best experience I could have hoped for, and a great deal!!!

I am traveling in my Dodge Ram 3500 dually with a giant Lance camper up top. I had some concerns and called Jack Powell Chrysler to see if they could work on my rig without me breaking it apart. The service manager Matthew assured me they could. Despite it being a busy holiday Friday, they were able to quickly resolve my concerns and I was able to continue my trip without anxiety. Matthew and his team were efficient and thorough. Thank you Jack Powell Chrysler, Matthew and the service team.

I had an amazing experience at Jack Powell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram! Zachary Arlington and the crew made my Jeep Gladiator buying experience truly amazing! You can do your shopping around, but I would highly suggest going to this dealer if your looking to get into a new or used vehicle. I let all my friends know to go here, and yes I've been to every dealership in the San Diego and greater area when I was looking for my Gladiator. We recently purchased a 2015 Chrysler T&C. My husband did some online research for this particular style car, and got a hit with Jack Powell. We got a great deal for the car and for our trade-in (an older model Chrysler T&C). Oprah was our sales rep and she was wonderful. I remember when we purchased our previous T&C at a different Chrysler dealership -- and it was such a hassle during the negotiation. But not at Jack Powell. I didn't expect to go home with a new car, but it was that fast and easy. The kids were surprised when we picked them up in the new minivan!

Just bought new car from Jeep a light came on I took it the Escondido shop to find out what the light was they would not help me told me I had to make an appointment. I asked if I could drive it if the light was on as I explained I don't live in Escondido I live close to big Bear mtn. They just kept saying make an appointment. I called the Temecula dealership , on the phone they explained that if the light was not blinking I could drive it. Thank you so much Escondido for absolutely nothing. Worst dealership I have every had an experience with. I will never every own another Jeep and encourage all to be Leary of these people. They have me by balls keep that in mind when you purchase here. Go with another brand I promise you won't regret it and will if you don't.

This is the most unorganized and incompetent service department I've ever seen. Service advisors are vague and give inconsistent answers to questions. Apparently making an appointment really means making an appointment to meet with a service advisor and nothing else. I specifically told them when I called to make the appointment that I need to wait for the vehicle AND I can't wait all day and if they can't get to it in a reasonable amount of time then I'd come another day. I waited over 5 hours just to have squealing brakes checked under warranty! Having dealt with service in other manufacturers, I can honestly say this is the worst by a long, long shot.

I brought my Ram here for service one time and I will never come again.

There is no shortage of Ram dealers in the LA area, and I've been to quite a few. But when it came time to actually make my truck purchase, I drove two hours to Jack Powell in Escondido. They simply had the best deals, presented in the most honest, reasonable way, by people that treated me like I mattered. I highly recommend this place.

The service from my sales person James was one of the best buying experiences that I have ever hade at a dealership I have purchased a couple of cars from jack Powell and the service was also great so when I was in the market foe a new car for my wife I shopped a around thinking all dealer ship were the same boy was I wrong so I went back to the best and was not disappointed no hassle buying experience sat down with me and found out what I could afford and the type of car I wanted and made it happen. To the owners you have a great employee in James do not let him go he is friendly and really cares about your customers He got me into a new 300 for my wife which she loves and didn't make me sit there while he ran back and forth to management he just made it happen .

I took my van there for a recall. Everything went as smooth as it could. Dropped it off and they gave me a complementary loaner vehicle. It was pretty sweet to drive a 4 door wrangler for a day while they updated my Sprinter. I drove up to Jack Powell from SD since the dealership closer to me had some very odd policies. Like, they can't take a reservation and I would have to drop off my van so it could wait until its turn came up. They said it would take about a week to get to my van and they don't do loaner cars.

Rather than purchasing and having my truck serviced from a dealer that is 5 minutes away, I chose Jack Powell which is 30 minutes away. There are many reasons for this. Beyond the obvious reasons which include a willingness to give a fair deal and a trustworthy service department, I like honesty.

You have to give one star or you can't post, which helped Powell CDJR in this case. Doug and Kingston showed zero interest in closing a deal that I called to complete. So little help from the sales staff. When I called the General Manager, I was told "he doesn't take phone calls since he is in meetings all the time". I guess their business is booming in this Covid-economy. Good for them - bad for potential customers. Look elsewhere and save yourself the frustration. There are another 25 dealers in SoCal that can help you.

Came in for an oil change. All super kind people, even did a full inspection to make sure everything is looking alright. I came at one of the busiest times and also needed new windshield wipers and cabin air filter, it took about an hour but they have couches, coffee and tv so time flew by.

Excellent customer service that started before I left the house! During my car buying experience, someone was with me throughout even if it was for light conversation waiting for financing or for the sales rep to complete an ongoing transaction with another customer. James Curtis was knowledgable and friendly as a sales rep and Tom Mullen in finance explained every detail while keeping the stress level of taking out a loan to a minimum. Jack Powell makes the customer feel like they are buying into a team and I feel they really mean it when they say, "Let us know how things are going in the coming weeks/months and feel free to visit to get advice on Jeep clubs and other social networking experiences." Buying my dream Jeep at Jack Powell was awesome to say the least!

Wow what a rollercoaster this place was! It starte...

Wow what a rollercoaster this place was! It started out great...Samson,who hasn't even been working there for 2 months was actually very helpful and straight-forward with me. I test drove their used Jeep Liberty with him and hashed out a couple things. He was very honest about everything. Unfortunately, he wasn't quite able to get me the deal I wanted. As I was getting ready to walk out, he comes back with the manager. Once Samson was out of the picture, so was the honesty, apparently.

Now all of a sudden they CAN do the deal we were looking for, and at 5.9% APR! They will even deliver the car to us! So I go ahead and let them do our credit check. As soon as I get home, I get a phone call that they can't do the lease for as long as we agreed upon, and the APR is gonna be 12%. To save money, they suggested downgrading my warranty! I said I didn't want the car if that's the case. 30 minutes later, I'm getting a call saying they CAN do what we agreed on again! Soooo I say bring the car.

A girl named Oprah was supposed to bring the car and after she filled up the gas, the engine light came on. She immediately called me and told me she was going to take it to service. She said the light didn't STAY on, but she wanted to make sure. Turns out it was a major issue with the gas tank, and she let me talk to the service people about the issue. I was able to work out an extension on my warranty with her for all of the trouble, and to give me a little more peace of mind.

Next thing she tells me is that the contract they gave her isn't right. WHAT??? In her defense, she had nothing to do with the contract. She was only supposed to deliver the vehicle and have us sign papers. The was actually the only honest person besides Samson. Anyway she tells me that the loan period is a year less, my APR changed from 4.9% (funny...we had agreed upon 5.9, but she said it wasn't 5.9) to 10%, and are payments were more a month! I know the financial department and the manager who we worked the deal with knew what they were doing. They lied about what they could do for us from the start, and thought if they didn't inform us until Oprah had made it here with the car, we may just give in and take it.

Two star only...one for Samson, and one for Oprah, for being honest.

Our van had the now classic sliding door problem...

Our van had the now classic sliding door problem of refusing to open with either the handle or key fob. The internet is replete with complaints about this problem. We were Told It s a faulty door latch mechanism. Should probably be a recall item. Quote to repair was over $1000. Not in our current budget. Phil and Michael at the repair service desk were kind and helpful in processing our paperwork. But the wait in line felt like being at the DMV. Lots of JP workers standing off to the sides talking AND just a couple of overworked guys behind the desk doing their best to keep up. Hopefully a more customer focused change occurs. We live on the coast and drive to Escondido for what used to be quick and affordable service. May have to rethink that one

I bought my Jeep GC Overland Ecodiesel here. Almost from the start I had problems with the service at JP CDJR. There were issues of charging for warranty covered problems (which they corrected later), Other issues with the engine that they took several visits to correct. A regular oil change service that should have taken 2 hours, took them 5 days because they ran another vehicle into my door and had to send it to the body shop. The last straw was when I scheduled a recall with them and when I came on the scheduled hour they informed me that they ran out of the recall kits the day before, never bothering to call me so I don't have to make the trip for nothing and wasting my time.
I now go to Poway CDJR and I am very happy with them.

I had a very good experience at Jack Powell Jeep. Amr Ismail has been my service advisor several times and I really appreciate his professional advise and help. I ended up having a quite big repair and he went the extra mile to make sure it was covered by my extended warranty and made sure I was able to use all available resources. I'm always confident when I take my jeep into Amr.

The worst service I have ever had. My car was there for over 19 days for a simple 1 week fix. Service department never updated me and I always felt like I had no idea what was going on. Was hung up on by Shelby at least once. Had to call the Service Manger, Gary, at the end to even get an update on my car. I will never buy a Dodge again due to the fact that Jack Powell is the closest dealership and I will never ever go there again. Because they took so long with my car, the warranty only covered some of my car rental and I got stuck with a $500 rental bill. The whole experience was a nightmare which I actually lost sleep over, because I had no idea what the hell going on , because no one ever updated me.

Dante, our salesman, was incredibly helpful and kind as I had many questions regarding the car I eventually ended up trading in for. He made the process very smooth, and painless. Sean and Abe were also fantastic and ensured that I got the best deal possible. Highly recommended!!

The service that I received was pretty spectacular, especially when compared to other dealerships that I have experienced in the past. The salesman, Nick, was friendly, professional, and answered my questions quickly whether through text or email. I never felt pressured into any deal and I have to admit that it was a fairly pleasant experience. Ask for Nick Cucinella becuase he'll take care of you and you won't be disappointed!

These people aren't honest when it comes to buying a new car, they told our son that his credit rating was 100 points less than what it actually was telling him that "in the auto industry" a different credit rating system is used to finance a car trying to charge him far higher interest rates than they should have! So we went to Huntington Beach Chrysler Jeep Dodge instead and they told us that there is "NO AUTO INDUSTRY" rating system that your credit rating is what it is across the board treating us fair and honestly when it came to financing not 1 but 3 new vehicles for our family over the years! We definitely won't return to Jack Powell for anything ever!

I appreciate the staff taking care of the recall order without having to wait weeks for an appointment. Although, the express lane took longer than I expected, they were courteaous and the lounge was comfortable to wait in.

Unbelievablely good service! While traveling I had a check engine light come on my 5.9 Dodge diesel plus they found a recall. They took such great care of me and my pickup truck! I'm so impressed with everyone there I will buy my new Dodge diesel there!

Ordered and purchased a 2014 Sport Unlimited. Took delivery in Dec 2013 one day after the salesperson quit. Even though my salesperson quit the turn over went smooth and I was told if I had questions I was to contact a specific sales person. Well after looking through the booklet that came with the Jeep I was left with several questions. I contacted the designated person and gave him three issues and he said he would get back to me, which he never did. I filled out a survey that Jeep requested and I gave the the dealership a less than satisfactory review. Then I get a call from a person identifying himself as a sales manager of some sort working at Jack Powell. I was driving at the time so I asked him to text me his name and a phone number and I would get back to him. Again I received a zero response. Bottom line here - think twice about doing business with this dealership.

The staff was friendly and kind. It was easy to make an appointment. I got an incredible rental, and my Jeep Grand Cherokee is fixed. Thank you!
I would have given them a five star but both rental car and my returned Jeep were not washed( maybe their conserving water?) Also the rental car had chip crumbs in the back seat. Otherwise I would have given them five stars.

Main dodge dealership in Escondido, lots of sales staff to help you buy a new car. Parts counter is typical price for a dealership. Lots of $$$$. Facility has had a facelift, but parking is awkward.
