A five star hotel of Welcome group. A very first initiative of Welcome group in Kolkata after the names like Great Eastern Hotel, Grand Hotel, Taj Bengal, Hotel Hindustan International. Their multi-storied high rise super complex is coming up next to this present location. Good ambience surrounded with natural environment and well landscaped garden and water body.

I loved this place. Staff are really good. Ready to help anytime. U wl certainly love this place.

Good hospitality.But Stuffs are very Bias towards their customers.Business class will be served with care.Rest your will be ignored.Visit ITC Mourya Delhi and ITC Maratha the treatment people get is phenomenal and something to learn.I prefer this the least

The best 5 star hotel around EM Bypass. Food is far better compared to JW Marriott. Service are also awesome. Rooms are nice.

Perfectly maintained property with a lovely lily pool, huge picture windows with a view of the city and wedding fireworks.

Try Murgh Makhani at Peshawar. Rest all are average. Sitting arrangement is poor given the ITC standard.

Go for ITC Royal Bengal instead.

Very good food at the Peshawri restaurant.
Ambiance is good. Although the seating can be better with good back rest etc.

As always, I enjoyed a great stay at the ITC Sonar! The staff are very welcoming and do an excellent job. I want to especially commend Varsha for meeting me at the entrance with the paper work, and walking me directly to the room. After a long day of traveling, I greatly appreciated this courtesy!

We were given a room which was full of disturbance from 9 am to 6 pm as renovations and construction work was going on... Other rooms were vacant but they gave us that room as we booked through a travel agent... Breakfast and food and hospitality of good quality. We had to go out deliberately on our 2nd day as cannot stay in the room due to loud conversation activity... in all not a good experience

A lovely evening at an equally lovely place. The staff were very polite and considerate. The ambience nice, although rather empty for a five star hotel on a Friday evening. The food was delicious, we had masala dosa and Earl Grey tea.

It's still under construction, but the other half is still well enough.

Cost cutting seems more important at this place.. With corporate guests occupying two large rooms, and guests using the aisle and the tea area, the aisles were hot and humid as the central AC was turned off potentially to save costs.. Very disappointing.

It is very unfortunate that an unpleasant welcome was experienced in your hotel by your staff at the check-in counter today. I was telling them that I got information that there is a booking done and confirmation as well. However, they simply did not listen and ask for proof.I tried to locate the mail but could not trace as I was looking for our executive's name in the mail inbox. Then I had to request my local manager at this late hours(8:45pm),to send another mail for booking as I could not search another hotel at this time (it was around 9:00 pm). My local manager promptly sent the mail which I tried to show to the counter gentleman but he was interested in checking in his inbox. There also he could not trace. Then I insisted him to see my mail. Then he saw and arranged for my room in the hotel. It took almost 1 hour which was embarrassing.
When I came to my room and opened the laptop, I traced the mail of Ms Stephanie who I suppose your employee, who had confirmed the booking @15:54 hrs today afternoon.This shows your staff's attitude towards Indian guests. It was my first stay in your hotel which was very disappointing and disgusting.
Hope you better train your staff in hospitality business and hope quality service for future guests (as I have decided not to be guest of ITC Sonar in future)!!!
I surprise that new General Manager Mr Atul Bhalla has so far not taken any steps to avoid such lapses in his hotel...

Pan Asia food was excellent also the service was amazing , we had the teppenyaki which was out of the world!

I stayed here for two nights and three days for the first time. Having benchmark of ITC Rajputana and ITC grand Bharat, ITC sonar is quite average. Reasons why I say this is because of "lack of hospitality". Hospitality is an essential part of Indian Hotels but seems to be lacking at ITC sonar.
1. No one comes to take orders for live kitchen during breakfast hours.
2. Even if you end placing order, it turns out to be cold.
3. The helpful and feeling "taking care" is grossly missing.
4. No welcome drink. Quite unlike a ITC.
Overall an average experience.

3. Peshawiri restaurant always steals the shlw

A very calm and lovely place to stay. The hotel staff makes you feel like a king with luxury around you and pampering. Great hotel in all respects!
