It is very unfortunate that an unpleasant welcome was experienced in your hotel by your staff at the check-in counter today. I was telling them that I got information that there is a booking done and confirmation as well. However, they simply did not listen and ask for proof.I tried to locate the mail but could not trace as I was looking for our executive's name in the mail inbox. Then I had to request my local manager at this late hours(8:45pm),to send another mail for booking as I could not search another hotel at this time (it was around 9:00 pm). My local manager promptly sent the mail which I tried to show to the counter gentleman but he was interested in checking in his inbox. There also he could not trace. Then I insisted him to see my mail. Then he saw and arranged for my room in the hotel. It took almost 1 hour which was embarrassing.
When I came to my room and opened the laptop, I traced the mail of Ms Stephanie who I suppose your employee, who had confirmed the booking @15:54 hrs today afternoon.This shows your staff's attitude towards Indian guests. It was my first stay in your hotel which was very disappointing and disgusting.
Hope you better train your staff in hospitality business and hope quality service for future guests (as I have decided not to be guest of ITC Sonar in future)!!!
I surprise that new General Manager Mr Atul Bhalla has so far not taken any steps to avoid such lapses in his hotel...
