I really enjoy going to the Golden gate bridge. There are plenty of trails, and a beach about a mile a way. Such a great view of the ocean and the bay at the same time!

Lifelong resident of Bay Area and I still enjoy the views of and surrounding the Golden Gate Bridge.

Great views and must see location in SFO. Remember the evenings can be really windy and cold, so take proper care when visiting. Nice location to take photos.

I hung upside down from the top and landed in the river below but I didn't get hurt I just splashed. And the food service was terrible also it smelled like gasoline and the view wasn't great. Also it wasn't GOLDEN AND THERE WAS NO GATE IT WAS JUST A BRIDGE PEOPLE! Here's the view.

People at the visitor center were lovely and very well informed. They went out of their way to help me explain to my daughter the way in which the bridge was constructed and the history of it. Only downside to the entire experience was there wasn't a single atm in sight in the visitor center vicinity after close to get bus fare if you didn't already have a transit card. Made for a lovely but long walk back to the Presidio to catch a bus.

An awesome must see in SF. Take an Uber or a electric bike. Visiting by car can be painful because of limited capacity of parking space.

Hard to find parking, and attendants are not friendly. Great places to take photos though.

Amazing bridge with a lot of engineering. Wonderful place to visit

A must visit for tourists and locals alike.
Great feet of engineering, and a marvel. Wonderful attraction to take pictures and enjoy a couple of hours. There are some quick bite places, for a snack which help if you're travelling with kids.

The gift shop is great, and allows you to take some really cool souvenirs to remind you of the place. I'd re-visit and the place is kept well.

Great Engineering Marvel which must be admired. Probably the most photographed bridge in the world.Take a ride/walk and enjoy the amazing view.

A must place to visit, best way you can get here and around the city is by taking a bus tour. It also helps you to understand the history all around but better check weather forecast as it's not always sunny out here because of fog and wind and therefore you can miss out on a lot of great views.

Amazing visit with lots of hikes and walks to get different views. Parking was horrendous and we ended up going round and round...and round...for ages...before we managed to find somewhere. The cafes and food venues are extremely basic, overpriced and no seating etc so bring your own if possible. Quite busy but no more than any other tourist attraction.

Went and walked the bridge and had a blast, was really awesome see how the architecture of the bridge was for the time. Great iconic historical landmark in California, seen in countless movies and shows and where millions have visited before. If you have the chance too, walk the whole thing, bring a jacket though and watch out for bicyclists haha

If you are able, I d highly recommend cycling across to enjoy all the viewpoints the bridge has to offer. Enjoy!

Everyone should experience the beauty of this massive bridge. I never knew you could see Alcatraz from the bridge. Absolutely breathtaking!

Beautiful vistas and photo opportunities at this icon destination. Each side of the bridge gives a unique perspective of its majesty. Definitely a must see when in the San Francisco area.

The bridge is a veru memorable site to visit, especially for movie lovers. The history of the bridge is also quite interesting to reas. It was real fun walking on this bridge.

Come on! It's the Golden Gate Bridge. Always a special experience. Hold on to your hat. :-)

Beautiful bridge with an awesome view. We ended up parking through Storey Avenue, if you continue through that street up, you will reach a small parking lot. Parking is free on holidays.

It is definitely an interesting and quite spectacular bridge and the strange weather of the area makes it more so.
Locals refer to the frequent fog as "Karl".

If you are lucky to be here on a lovely sunny San Francisco day, the experience is unforgettable. There are several hikes around that lead you to the beach and add to your experience. If you have time, highly recommended walking down the beach and enjoying the changing views of the bay. If possible, do make an attempt to visit the place close to sunset.

Obviously the star of the San Francisco destinations so all first time visitor's should have a walk along or cross the bridge at least once. It's windy there mind so bring a coat if walking and mind any hats!

Iconic landmark. Very beautiful to look at throughout the day. This is the major check point for San Francisco marathon and first half marathon. Foggy during the morning run

Drive over, you will love it! You can also walk over, ride a bike over etc. Start at turn off before crossing. If driving as soon as you get off bridge take 1st vista view. It's windy and cold. Electric scooter may not make it over and back on one charge. Be sure and get directions to Oakland Bay Bridge and take that back.

Always a nice place to visit for fire photos, whether with friends or family. Also a very safe place with few to none drug addicts.

A spectacular bridge. We crossed this bridge in an open top bus on beautiful sunny day and the experience was amazing. The views of the bay were beautiful. We alighted on the other side and walked around the waters edge taking photos. There were plenty of people riding and walking across the bridge. Well worth a looksee

Saw it from a distance and took a few pictures. Parking lot area, way too small for the amount of traffic that flows through. Don't take the boat ride on a windy day!!

Lovely walk get food and drink before you walk . Over priced cafe the one side nothing the other side. good 20 mins walk each way

This iconic bridge is a definite must see for the amazing experience of walking over it and the stunning views all over. Fantastic photo opportunities but be mindful of the cyclist that shares the pedestrian walkway; some are less patient and also some cycling pretty fast.

I have seen many bridges but this one was amazing I loved it. Colors were beautiful.

In most famous place in san Francisco. But the best view is down from water level

We were fortunate that the day we decided to cross the bridge, it was clear and sunny, otherwise San Francisco can get quite foggy, with poor visibility. We crossed the bridge on food, with is less than 3 km walk. Alternately, one can rent a bike. However, there are no bike rentals at the foot of the bridge, and the closest bike rental would probably be at Fisherman s Wharf. The bridge is a marvel, the walk is refreshing, and the views are amazing. A must-do when in San Francisco!

Driving across the one direction is free but be warned if you want to cross back to the city you get charged the toll. If you don t wanna do that then you gotta take the long way around, WHICH SUCKS. Amazing views though. If you go down to the old coast guard fort area and walk to the piers there isn t too many people and the view is legit.

Beatiful experience to walk on and get some pictures

Spectacular structure to be visited to appreciate the efforts taken by the human. Its a place to go if you want to be above the clouds and enjoy the day...

Like other parks in San Francisco, it is falling into disrepair. Guess they spend all their money encouraging illegal aliens to come. Why aren't some of them required to groom the parks and beaches? Here are examples of rust, litter, landscape.

One of the most spectacular places in the whole of San Francisco. You can walk for miles and miles on both sides of the bridge, amazing views and good hiking on the north side, very nice beach on the south (Baker beach). Bridge toll can be easily paid online either before or after you cross in either direction. Parking around might be tricky since the car parks are mostly full.

Great place to visit. Take a jacket. It gets real breezy

Fantastic to see this iconic bridge up close. The ride over the bridge is an easy one and affords spectacular views back over the city. I love how easy it is to ride there, it s all off road and well sign posted. Along the trail there are great spots to stop and view the bridge in the distance.

Pretty sunset especially if you walk underneath and to the other side of the bridge.

Travelled over this landmark in 1989, by RV. Again in 2012. A rather wonderful experience.
When we watch Movies back home in the UK it is quite exciting when one sees the Golden Gate Bridge and know we have driven over it. Once going South in '89. Once going North, in2012.

Worth coming to and walking over. It has been years since I have done this, but I will always recommend it.

Rented some bicycles and off we go. There are many places to rent. Suggest to rent near pier 39 and enjoy a slow cycle down the coast.

A day in San Fransisco is not complete without a visit to the Golden Gate Bridge. We rented electric scooters, which we highly recommend. It was a beautiful ride seeing the bridge come into view the closer we got. The electric scooters come in handy for the few steep hills to get to the very top. Such an incredible landmark!

Amazing experience to drive pass the bridge and also walk on the bridge. Dont miss it if you are ever in san Francisco area. Both lookout points at the end of the bridge provides amazing view of the bridge, city skyline and the bay. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience!

What more is there to say but iconic. There are several places on both sides of the bridge to park and really appreciate this landmark

What a veiw and the bike ride over the bridge was awesome. Took the ferry back after a long ride over the bridge. It was a great time and what a amazing thing man kind built. You really have to take to a moment to take in what man build it a sight.

Beautiful vista, make sure to take a walk across the bridge to enjoy even more. Frequently not visible due to dense fog but usually weather clears up on sunny day.

Very windy and foggy, but a fun walk none the less. Highly recommend using the bathroom before starting the trek across as there is no bathroom on the bridge. The entire length of the bridge can be walked in about 35-40min at a good pace with minimal stops for photos. If you get cold easily, wear layers and a hat or hoodie to keep you warm. Enjoy the trek, take pictures, and wave hello at cars driving by you. It's a fun experience and you can brag that you walked all 8,981 feet!

This is one of the locations to have a nice view of the bridge. Come visit to have another angle of the Golden Gate Bridge. :-)

When you come to San Francisco from afar, you must take a look at this San Francisco logo. Although it is unfortunately met with fog, you can't fully see the true body of the bridge, but the fog has finally added a unique mystery to the bridge. .

A must goto landmark for anyone visiting San francisco. Take a bike up there and enjoy the gorgeous view. However be sure to take a jacket or three. It gets super windy at night.

Wow! we all know how popular is this place, and avery time I visit is like the first time the view is just stunning, I know many people post pictures but I hope you have a new look based on the way I like to capture the gorgeous view of the Golden Gate and the Bay Area

Landmark of San Francisco city. This is one of the marvels of architecture. It takes half of a day to visit the place. A hike along the bridge is a great idea and view after crossing the bridge is awesome. On the San Francisco side there is welcome garden and shopping center. Near the ocean, there is Fort point and warming hut cafeteria, which one must not miss.

Had a great time getting terrific views of this wonderful bridge. There is an excellent stop before the bridge to get a good view of it. Then, driving across it was a treat.
Then we hit the beach on the other side for yet another spectacular view.

Didn t have the chance to walk or cycle, I was on my way to the North by car, too short to actually enjoy the views.
