The bridge is beautiful, and if you're lucky it won't be windy and cloudy :) but if it's you will enjoy it anyway. Car pay a fee, pedestrians and bikes are free! And the best is that you can bike to Sausalito and then take a ferry, bus or taxi on your way back!. And if you could stop in presidio it's worth it

As far as bridges go I felt supported. What I didn t feel was that it was necessarily beautiful. It s just red. Is it red? It s kind of an off red. I checked my phone and realized I took 1200 pictures of this maybe red bridge. All because I ve seen 1200 other pictures of the same bridge. In the end. Alone in a bathroom some days later reviewing. I deleted all of the pictures. And thought, it s just a bridge

An American Icon. We drove and parked a short walking distance away. The information about how the bridge was buit was very interesting. Walked across the bridge half way and turned back. Went between 10 and 11am and was foggy but it turned off shortly after we left.

It's a bridge.

It's a bridge.
It's not golden.
There's no gate AFAIK.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a famous attraction known worldwide. If you get the chance to wake up early, go for a morning jog in the cool mist and spectacular sunrises. While on the bridge, you get picturesque view of the Marin Headlands and San Francisco's Presidio

Really a great place for a walk on the Bridge. Also you can rent bicycle and ride it on the bridge. You can rent a bike and ride across the bridge and come back to pier on ferry. It's a great experience. Do visit during weekdays to enjoy rides and walking. Weekends are really crowded.

The Golden Gate Bridge is one of those iconic US Landmarks that you must see in person. I have been here before..but this time there was no 'fog' so I was able to enjoy it so much more this trip.

Hearing the history of the bridge & how it got it's name & color helped me enjoy it much more (Google It...Lol)

Of course I took a few pics & enjoyed the view of the bay.

We had a not-so-nice surprise when we arrived there and everything was covered in fog, buuuut this way the bridge had a special thing. I wouldn t wanted any other way, to be honest. It was a little bit cooler as well, but I have enjoyed it.

The iconic Golden Gate Bridge is a must-see. My family (including kids age 10 and 2) is new to the Bay and decided to walk across the bridge and back We took in the superb views on both sides and in the walk itself. Separation from traffic seemed ample for safety but the noise was way louder than anticipated. As new residents, we all agreed we're probably good on walking across for awhile or ever, but will certainly find other opportunities to hike nearby to drink in that striking view further away from all the traffic.

The Golden Gate Bridge is certainly a national icon. What a treat to see it up close, and in person!! The welcome center is a good drop off and pick-up place. There is some parking here, but it is very limited, so taking an Uber/Lyft/Taxi might be the best option. But, the welcome center is well done and informative (separate review for that). But the bridge.......Deifnitely taking the path from the welcome center down furthe is a must-do. This provides access to different unobstructed vantage points of the bridge. The path also leads to other areas of the park, such as a fort area....and under the bridge, to take a look at the massive pilings/tower supports, and a view from the other side! For those that are adventurous, there is also a means to access the sidewalk to walk over most of the bridge...but, not being a fan of heights, I declined...although two colleagues did take the walk and thoroughly enjoyed it.There are many phoeo opportunites here, viewing opportunites, and ample space ot relax and take in the gorgeous views. Definitely don't miss this icon!

The Golden Gate Bridge, the bridge of all bridges, one bridge to rule them all, whatever you want to call it.
Stand on the beach of Crissy Field, wait for the sun to set right behind the bridge and enjoy one of the most beautiful scenes you'll ever lay your eyes on.
You're welcome ;-)

Stunning. After the Brooklyn bridge in New York City this is my second favorite bridge in the USA and third favorite bridge worldwide with the harbor bridge in Sydney being second place. You should totally rent a bike and bike the whole bridge and go to Sausalito for lunch. It is so much fun to bike the whole bridge. You need to follow the bike path and be careful not to go on the walking path. But it's pretty easy to distinguish between the two.

Superb weather, Iconic presence, Breathtaking roads, Scenic views, Architectural beauty and just a few minutes away from San Francisco downtown, GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE is a must watch when you are on a trip to California. There are couple of viewpoints to take photography and it can be crazy crowded if it's a weekend. Only negative is : Restrooms are very bad and overflowed. Avoid going to restrooms, if you can.

Authorities should maintain these well.

As a mother the only thing I would recommend is that be prepared for the cold weather that can be there so if you have children in your party be sure to take them a sweater and some pants because I was completely unprepared and had to go to Target to buy sweaters and pants for the family cuz it was 46 degrees when we arrive during August!!
Be sure to look around maybe you can rent scooters so much fun!!

The experience visiting the Golden Gate Bridge is a must if you're in SF or the Bay Area. It's just a glorious brigde and totally worth it to rent a car and go over with it. If you're going back into SF with your rental car you have to do nothing. The toll plus some additional fee from your rental company gets automatically booked from your deposit.

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide (1.6 km) strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The structure links the American city of San Francisco, California the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County, carrying both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 across the strait. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.[7]

The Frommer's travel guide describes the Golden Gate Bridge as "possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world."[8][9] At the time of its opening in 1937, it was both the longest and the tallest suspension bridge in the world, with a main span of 4,200 feet (1,280 m) and a total height of 746 feet (227 m).

Beautiful and breath taking. The park is beautiful and well maintained. Driving over the bridge can get a little crazy, the locals do 90mph so it's hard for sightseeing. I was doing 75 and had people laying on their horns at me.

Saw this place when me and ma mate big Keith were cuddling up watching Mosters vs Aliens together and wanted to see the giant robot for myself. Disappointment..... no robot only some peeps chilling on the edge of the railing what a shame they couldn t swim. I threw some dude down after them but he couldn t swim either.

Awesome bridge across the Pacific ocean waters enter into the mainland. Worth walking across or driving over it. Its night view is more beautiful to watch. For majestic views, go to Marin Headlands - views from here are breathtaking. This bridge is surely iconic.

Breathtaking bridge and surrounding area. When I take visitors here the route is always: walking to the visitor center from Crisy's beach, then walk at least half way on the bridge, and then drive northbound on the way back .

The Golden Gate Bridge which is located on the Golden Gate Strait in San Francisco, California, is one of the world famous bridges and a miracle of modern bridge engineering. It was designed by bridge engineer Joseph Struss (1870-1938) and it is more than 1,900 meters long. It looks very nice.
