My most recent experience with Internode was most positive: I called to arrange for a transfer of services to a new address. Rafi was not only polite but also quite knowledgeable; he explained the process with ease; ran through the terms and conditions and answered by myriad of questions clearly.
Within 10 minutes, I received written confirmation of the transaction - well done to Internode: you got your customer service right first time.

Thank you for replying my review owner. I was writing a long review and marked only 1 start as per my real experience with internode on last Thursday 9 Jan 2020. I also lodged a complain case on Thursday but I withdraw it. I have to spent my own money to sort out the issue on Thursday.

However, I think I may me the only unlucky one and everyone should have the second chance to do better. I am still your customer now. So I deleted my long negative review after one hour I posted. I do have a bad day so hope internode will provide efficient and professional service in the future. Best wishes for your business.

Technicians visited me to fix the connection problem and the main problem was the old phone socket at my house. So they replaced it to connect the nbn device. However, they took my new phone socket adopter which I bought at Bunnings without telling me. Is it common to take other's thing without telling? But they left the old phone socket after replacing though. That's why I only gave 3 stars even though they were OK.

!!!Stay away!!! Sure their customer service is responsive (most of the time) and they "value" your feedback and supposedly take it on board but they are all talk and no show. It took 2 months to get my basic naked ADSL+ connection up and running and now am being overcharged for a service that was several months late.

They don't tell you about the hidden costs of switching from one provider to the next. That is, if the previous tenants were with say Telstra, it will cost you an extra $150 (they claim $100 but I had to personally shop around for a service that they should be providing and all the technicians could offer was $150) to port from one brand to another. This is on top of whatever startup fee they charge you PLUS a modem that you probably don't need.

It is also very obvious that none of the departments talk to each other. I requested a report of my case and one department said that all it takes is an email and after 2 weeks of no reply I had to ring up (this is about my 8th call since the whole debacle began) and see where my request is at. Got redirected to the Technical Department who was confused by my request and said "need to check with my supervisor and I'll get back to you". It's been 2 weeks since.

The employees must be very desperate for a job to work for this company. Everyone who has tried to help me were very nice but the fact that I had to get help from 5 different operators (only one of which was truly helpful) means that whoever is running this show is nothing but a lying or very ignorant thief.

In my entire time that i have been with this company Internode, I have never been disappointed with the service and the quality of help when i have required it, MY past 15-20 years with Internode has always been a pleasant one, phn service is top shelf stuff, I Highly recommend this ISP to anyone considering an alternative to their Broadband needs...I hear many sad story's about ppl getting a service or none at all, I wont hesitate to stear ppl to Internode 10/10 speed, connections, calls, replacements, you name it, This is a no Go any further ISP. Have rung the company twice and I've sent two emails to manager of the company but received NO response. This is how they repay me as a loyal customer for over 20 year's.I Outrageous!

I have been an Internode customer for a few years now. One of my favourite things about Internode is the technical support. I can say without a doubt that on every occasion (many) I have received excellent customer service, very clear advice, and follow up on the standard of customer service given. When I think of changing provider I always consider the standard of support, so no new ISP for me atm.

They tell me i have used 200G in 2 weeks. Somehow i do not think so. I have been with Internode for 3 weeks since changing from Telstra. I have not changed my usage just company and i never came close to 200G with Telstra. Something fishy going on here. Would not recommend this company.

I have had an account with Internode since connecting with the local NBN network early last year(2018). I have been very happy with the service provided during that time. In the recent bushfire affected times I had gone over my data allowance due to constantly accessing bushfire alerts/information as I live not far from the Green Wattle major fire grounds. At one stage the fire front was 3 km from my place. I requested extra data allowance for the remaining time of my data block at no extra charge due to these circumstances and with an extreme fire warning day due immediate internet access, not slowed down, was essential, having already evacuated twice. I was relieved when this was sorted with no extra charge and a personal email was sent expressing concern for my safety. This response made a stressful situation much easier to deal with. Thank you, Internode and yes would recommend you as a reliable and helpful provider.

I have never had any issues with Internode. When i call wirh a question or help they are always happy to help and very fast. They also sometimes call me or email and let me know if the plan i am on is not the best for me and ppint me towards the better plan.

They have always been great to me and worked around times to suite me when they came to my home to set up my NBN.

I highly recommend Internode to anyone that is looking at getting NBN.

Hands down the best internet/Telco provider for customer service. Always had good service from Internode. I did have a fault early on in our two years with them and the set up for a technician to look at the problem was strange.
But the way they handle customers is actually outrageously good in comparison to the rest of the industry.

I wish to share my Internode experience with the rest of Australia. Over 2 weeks ago, I had my ADSL disconnected by Internode without notice. When I called, I was informed that this was because the NBN was connected to our apartment building and I would need to call to organize an NBN connection. I did so the next day and an appointment was set for 1 week. This appointment came and went without any connection or update from Internode. When I called, I was told the appointment would be rescheduled to 30 August. When I expressed my discontent, the appointment was moved to 23 August. Once again, the appointment came and went without any connection. I have just received a new connection date for 27 August, but I do not have much confidence that this will be successful. To add pain to suffering, I have just received my direct debit notice from Internode so I can pay for no internet. Additionally I have received no offer of compensation from Internode, despite having generated almost $100 of excess data via my mobile 4G.
So to anyone out there looking at finding a new ISP, I would suggest to avoid Internode like the plague as they will not go out of their way to help you when you need it. And you can clearly see that they do not care, because they NEVER respond to any Google reviews, I think they would rather bury their head in the sand than admit fault.

I have been with internode for 12 years I cannot fault their provision of service and support services.
In 12 years I have only had need for support on 3 occasions, each time my call has been answered almost immediately and I have never been pushed off to other departments or staff.
Each time my issue has been resolved on that call.
I highly recommend internode.

They even go the extra mile by checking internet connections for houses I'm looking to buy while house hunting. This is the only ISP I've ever dealt with where I get actual customer service. Internode has been our provider of choice since 2013. Internode's support has always been swift and informative and has enabled us to connect, and stay connected, to NBN in both Darwin and Adelaide. As a few issues have arisen in the past six years, I have phoned and received a prompt and satisfying response from their informative and friendly Tech staff, usually on the same day. Internode's pricing is market competitive, and there has been no pressure for us to purchase a plan beyond what we need.
We highly recommend Internode for your Internet and Mobile services.

You just don't get service like this anymore. Both tech and sales staff are very friendly and patient. Both are Australian based. They reward loyalty and give the staff the freedom to make practical decisions. You can probably find cheaper options, but the high level of service is worth every $.

I had an issue with someone in the customer service centre (Australia-based) but a manager called shortly to resolve the issue. I've been a customer with Internode for a long time (choosing another plan to suit my current NBN usage), I haven't had issues with them up until today but I'm satisfied that it was so professionally dealt with. Been tethering the house off our mobile phones because internet can t provide the speeds we paid for and won t let us cancel out of our contract.
They even offered to upgrade us, then made us pay for it, I then asked if the upgrade failed to work could we opt out, no response. That was 6 months ago, 6 months later, nothing has changed, can not wait to get out of this contract and move on with a different provider.

Getting sick of being diddled by internode they promote themselves as no1 $69 a month blabla, paying $99 a month, service wasn't up to scratch was paying for the basic service, get cut off without warning, just paid $220, $300 bill was told can re connect by one operator, another operator said no, tried charging me for installation even though the wall socket and cables were already here, they then withdrew the install fees, $300...after they realize they were wrong, apparently i owe $80, have been paying $100 a month for basic service with SLOW speeds & dropouts, but i owe them $80 for a service i did not receive. They like to play around with speeds & make alterations & generally play games with you!

I have been with Internode for almost 2 1/2 years. In that time I have encountered a few internet issues which have been resolved always on the first contact. Sometimes I have to leave my number so staff can call back and it has always happened within the timeframe suggested. The staff are always polite, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

Trying to move with Internode currently. During signup you'll speak to an energetic, polite Aussie guy to rope you in. However when you need follow up support you'll speak to foreign support staff, who will lie to you about the status of your order just to get you off the phone. I wanted the internet ready to go when I move in, and Internode have been unable to organise that. The communication just stopped once I paid first month and hardware package.

I'm now stuck trying to put the pieces together and understand who's responsible for the NCD, when it will be sent to me, why I wasn't told about it, why I was sold a modem/router when I already have one. Etc etc. I pay a premium for Internode, so that they will take care of things when it goes pear shaped. If I want a run-around I'll just go with a cheaper option.

Edit: Downgraded from two stars to one star. These people are hopeless. Internode continued to bill me for my old address despite me having a new service at the new address. My account still reflected my old service. I had to call my bank and block internode to stop the direct debits, because node customer service told me "it's OK you'll be refunded later". After nearly a month of Nbn with internode they started sending me texts asking me to connect the router so Nbn can be setup...

Node also failed to acknowledge receipt of the router return, and apply the credit. I didn't make any progress with getting a credit for the double billing and router until I threatened to involve the TIO. It seems like internode runs on a whole bunch of automated practices and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Using overseas call centres doesn't help either.

I also noticed internode no longer list upload speeds for residential nbn packages. When I enquired, they told me the speeds and they were far lower than they used to be.

In the end I switched to Aussie Broadband and I'm much happier.

Just transferred from TPG and so far it has been the worst experience. The call centre don't have any answers and could care less. They don't try and help at all and their service is at the mercy of Telstra technicians. Took over two weeks for a technician to come, they came to the wrong property so now I have to wait probably another two weeks for a technician to potentially not find my house again...

*UPDATE: have logged support ticket #19139918. First person I spoke to accused me of missing appointment even though I was home and had taken annual leave for this very appointment. Spoke to a second person on the phone who confirmed other customers had experienced similar experiences with technicians not showing up to appointments but claiming they had.

I used to recommend Internode...
I joined them about 6 years ago when they we're *the* gamers isp with dedicated servers and strong solid connections.
Ever since the iinet take over Internode have lost their way.
They immediately cut off the excellent local dedicated servers for gamers, a big catch for a gamer to even connect with them.
Their internet service itself has gone from excellent to abysmal for me.
Thanks to their new corporate overlords allowing them to have poor congestion, my ADSL service went from 14mbit rock solid to fluctuating 4mbit for the past 6 months on their highest speed profile only 1km from exchange.
Utterly pathetic. With the whole family, the service is barely usable.

signed up to an internet deal, promised speeds were not met, we made about 200kbps on a good day, called up about it and blamed it on us and our router, brought a new one and even went with one that they recommended, did not change anything and even after that they still blamed it on us for their bad internet.

as soon as our contract ended we signed up with Telstra for $20 more a month for the same amount only difference was that we now sit on a consistent 50 mega bits, no problems at all. my advice to someone looking for an even decent internet is to stay away from these people, the customer service is worse than Telstra because they are too incompetent to solve anything or own up to anything and on top of that the speeds were just so so bad they're lucky that the lowest i can give them is one star
