Great location and comfort. They could've been more accommodating to us for our view and the hotel has made 2 false charges after our check out, which is a hassle to deal with. But other than that, good location, good stay, good comfort.

Rooms are good. But beds are very small. Not comfortable for 2 people. The water in the tub (bathroom) doesn't go properly due to some blockage. Even on complaining several times they didn't come over and check. Breakfast menu is the same everyday. Quite boring.
Hotel staff wasn't really seen at all. Maybe 1 worker and a security guard. Hotel was empty no activity, but staff didn't go out of their way to make u feel welcome or anything... Just a regular good clean convenient hotel. Nuthing good or bad to really comment on besides that
Very nice rooms. Front desk staff needs slightly more customer service training. Holiday Inn in SOHO is almost as nice, just in a "worse" location for tourists.
Really nice hotel, great location, close to the Time Square and all kinds of activities downtown they even have their own entry into the subway system and they're ready help immediately with either cab or limo driver. I took the limo driver one night and had a great time with him very nice guy so a lot of really good key points in the city within 2 hours. It cost $100 for this guy but he was so informed and so in tune with the city we saw so many good things and we did not waste her to anytime at all. It's really easy to waste a lot of time which we didn't want to do. If I had it to do over again I would have taken this guy to begin with. We had a great time Thank You Intercontinental Hotel.
Good sized executive king room, but in no way 5 star, reception staff appear pleasant but don t follow through on anything. Room bedding was awful, duvet without proper cover exposing brown, discoloured duvets between the sheeting is very off putting, the dust on the ceiling over the bed is just poor housekeeping, the broken threads on bedding covers look cheap and nasty. The Stinger bar has dreadful staff with awful service and the drinks are extortionate and poorly made, children and people with McDonald s and take away pizza slices just sitting in the bar in front of the fire drown any attempt at creating ambiance for your overpriced drink. Better ambiance and service in the pub with a beautiful fire a few doors down. Toilets were disgusting had to report to the manager to be cleaned. It s a poor relation to the intercontinental group who are well regarded in Europe for quality and service.
This is a holiday Inn standard at best and the answers from the manager look like the poor response you would get from some second rate hotel, no real affirmative action, the same things are repeated over and over in reviews maybe do something about it.
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. The cost was very reasonable for New York. The room was a corner room with 2 walls of windows. The bathroom was huge with a great rainfall shower. Polite, friendly, responsive staff.
This was my second stay. This is a great location to stay, as it is right near Broadway. We like to stay in NYC when we go to see a show, and we'll always stay at the Intercontinental. The service is great. They voucher you parking which is across the street and us reasonably priced. Room was very clean and a good size.
This is a great hotel to stay.in whilst in New York very freindly staff make you feel at home during your stay very close to all the attractions.excellent
Hotel very practical and with quality. Just one block from Times Square and packed with gastronomic options around: shake shack, mc'donalds, City kitchen and more. Metro station underneath the hotel and the rooms muffle the noise of the city that never sleeps. Highly recommend.
A complete letdown! So disappointed with the Intercontinental Times Square!
You can replace anything, except for the goodwill of your customers words visible to anyone upon entering the company s headquarters where I serve. Obviously, the Intercontinental Times Square doesn t agree. In fact, quite simply, I was even told by a IC Times Square manager (Nicole) we re sold out every night, and it s evident many of those working there aren t concerned about the need to secure repeat business (or brand ambassadorship).
For my Dad s 80th birthday, I was bringing him to New York to celebrate a weekend for just the two of us lots of food, walking, catching up with friends, museums, theater, etc.. It was important to me that things went well. I thought the Intercontinental Times Square would be a perfect location for us to stay (normally I stay at the Sheraton Times Square). When initially booking our rooms a couple months back, I requested rooms on the same floor not a big deal, I thought. Upon checking in last Friday (October 7), immediately I got a bad vibe. It s okay that there was no priority check in area, but when I saw a receptionist without a guest and began walking over to him, I was scolded like a schoolchild and told the line is there, by Martin perhaps the rudest welcome I ve ever received anywhere!
Just my luck, when it was finally our turn to check in, we got Martin again. I was pleasant, and asked if he saw the note in our reservation that I was hoping my Dad s and my rooms could be on the same floor. He was SO RUDE just the scowl on his face was enough to turn anyone off and he responded simply I see the note, but the best I can do is to put you three floors apart 3 FLOORS! I then asked if we could check out late on Sunday (with platinum status I ve never had an issue with this request), and he replied check out time is 11am. At that point, I had enough with Martin, and lucky for my Dad and me, I think Martin had enough of me. He just walked away, and a few minutes later, a very pleasant manager named Megan. Megan moved things around so my Dad and I could be on the same floor and at last, I thought things were looking up. Literally, Megan was the ONLY POSITIVE aspect of or entire stay.
There were minor annoyances with the room the room s alarm clock went off at 6AM my first morning (though I never touch or set the clock in the room), and I stumbled around long enough to finally get it turned off that falling back asleep wasn t feasible. There s a nice Keurig coffee maker in the room, but there were only 4 decaf coffee pods. I threw them all away, and the next night I had a proper mix (of regular and decaf), but it just showed me procedures are lax there. Likewise, the keycards needed to be reset each day and the receptionist simply stated yep, this always happens no sorry for the inconvenience. Overall, however, our rooms were good.
The second day of our stay, I thought I d try my luck, and inquired again about late check-out on Sunday. My Dad and I were attending noon Mass at St. Patrick s Cathedral, with family, and we were going out from brunch afterwards. I thought it d be nice if we could check-out perhaps at 3pm, as we d then have a late night flight home that evening (Sunday, October 9). That s when I talked with Nicole, and heard one of the oddest things ever from a hotel manager. She informed me we re sold out every day, so we don t offer late check-out but for $150 per room, we can grant it. That makes no sense?! When I mentioned that I consistently viewed guests checking in late (we didn t arrive until around 7pm on Friday, for example), so surely there must be space available, she said the best she could do for us is noon, otherwise we could pay $150. This just screamed slimy used car salesperson type antics to me, and I was nothing short of flabbergasted. We checked out by 11am completely inconvenienced, but I wanted nothing more to ever do with that hotel again.
I accompanied my friends on their first trip to the Big Apple so I wanted to make sure everything was perfect as far as rooms. Cons: -There was a $400 deposit for incidentals for each of the rooms that would be returned to us at the end of our stay. Nothing on the website mentions this so in addition to the $1000+ you spend for a few nights be sure to have an extra $400 before you even venture into the city. -For there to be this immense deposit, the room had been a little worn. There was a hand print on the wall from previous guests. There was a stain of something spilled on the wall as well. The paint/wallpaper started to peel in the other room. This is an unacceptable presentation for a supposed 4-star hotel. -The most humorous thing is that they charge $8 for "Caffeinated" coffee but provide decaf and tea K Cups for your room.
Pros: -The hotel is located right in the middle of the Theatre District. A few blocks from Times Square. 20 minute walk to Central Park. -Very comfortable soft beds. -Room service is quick and the food was very enjoyable. -Our room was pretty quiet but our friends was noisy because it was facing the street. -Room and bathroom were spacious.
Had booked a room in August 2017 for 3 nights. Got to hotel and room wasn't ready. We were told we had another room for the 1st night and will be moved to our room which will be ready the next day. Not ideal. We wanted to unpack our stuff so we didn't have to carry it about the hotel. We asked if we could just stay in the same room for the full weekend. We were told no. Was unhappy with the customer service. Hotel was nice. Pretty central. 5 minute walk from Times Square.
Near the Times Square Center, 5 minutes away, a new hotel, we stayed on the 27th floor with a beautiful view, 5-star reception and reception, room cleaning service a bit poor, maybe he was waiting for some Tips (tip), which I didn't give it because it didn't deserve it
I truly got 5 star service at this hotel. I requested, and was granted, an early check in. It was quick and the agent was kind and informative. Due to my status I was upgraded to a higher floor with a better view. I was very pleased with that as well. The view was phenomenal and the location was just close enough to Times Square, while also being just far enough away. The hotel bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. The waterfall shower head above was a very nice touch. We were close to Port Authority and right on the corner of a Subway station which made travel around the city very convenient which was important for my visit to Manhattan. They also have a restaurant, The Stinger, which I regret not having the time to try. The drinks were very tempting though from what I saw. Check out was quick and painless with the app on my phone as well. Overall I enjoyed the room, hotel, and location.
4 night Family trip with our 3 young kids. Had some challenges during reservations but Gabriel in Guest Relations came through and made sure we had connecting rooms. Rooms were nice size with large bathrooms and very comfortable beds. perfect location just a few blocks from Times Square. stayed on the 20th floor facing north with great views. Good choice of family restaurants all within walking distance.
Great property as far as facilities are concerned but be warned that if you book through a third party they require a card (reasonable), ID (reasonable), and a credit card statement proving your address (insaine).
They tried to make me fill out a credit card auth with this insaine proof of my identity, and for some reason address, at 1:00 am for a client I had placed there. First, it would be nice to know they need that kind of information up front, and second I have never had a hotel ask for something like that before for literally one doubles room.
Normally they are a great brand that I place a lot of my buisiness with, but I would watch out if you have to book for anyone other than yourself.
I will caveat that it was a busy weekend before a holiday. Nevertheless, the desk was utterly mobbed at check-in and check-out, as if the hotel was understaffed. Consequently, the desk and bell staff were impatient and borderline discourteous. Despite an offer to try to get us checked in a little early, no one told us when our room was ready. As for the room itself, it was dank and humid, requiring the AC to be run constantly, and it was on a low floor right by the elevator (in spite of expressed preferences to the contrary). We were provided no toiletries in the bathroom. And, it appears that I have been charged $5 for I don't know what because I still have not received my folio. I would not stay here again.
Central hotel, comfortable but nothing exceptional. Bad reception: upon our arrival they demanded a $ 500 cash deposit for 7 nights (since they strangely did not accept a Mastercard card used quietly in Santo Domingo and Miami). Clever: at check-out they tried to charge us $ 37 for "alleged" drinks at the mini bar (cans magically reappeared shortly after). Staff not always courteous. Personal reflection: Since a breakfast costs more than $ 100, why aren't the proceeds invested in the bidet?
Don t waste your money/ points/fn here... terribly customer service and they provide NOTHING for platinum member. I ve been loyalty members with IHG for years and This is the only hotel that makes me want to switch from IHG to other chain hotels...
Blood on our sheets!!!! Unbelievable. We always come here for an amazing time and we saw blood on our sheets and in the bathroom. I am so appalled. Boston location room 745. The manager put me on hold after telling them the situation and hung up on me.
Compared to the Hong Kong InterContinental, the New York edition is not quite as classy and clean. But hey, it's New York, and the Yankee culture has its own charm. Still a classy joint with comfortable rooms and an amazing location near Times Square.
Service was terrible. House keeping not up to standard . Rooms very filthy. Dont even have water per room . Rooms and corridors very dusty and dirty .Only plus for this Hotel is their Doorman . Doorman was very helpful. I will never stay in this hotel again.
The hotel is perfect and has a nice views, but the hotel should find a better parking service they charge very unjustified rate and try to scam you even it you have the hotel sticker on your parking ticket
Strategic hotel for location a stone's throw from Times Square. Super friendly staff and impeccably clean room. Excellent structure to stay. If you have a lower room, ask to be placed on the opposite side of the street. I was in the 337 and didn't hear a noise. Recommended!
The rooms were fine. The service was appalling. Having stayed in other InterContinental Hotels, I expected much more. We were actually asked to take our own suitcases to our rooms on arrival. Concierge was always on the phone, no matter what time of the day and gave no subtle indication that he would be with us shortly, no matter how long we waited. We had to hail our own cab at the front of the hotel because the bell boys were also too busy huddling in their circle and laughing amongst themselves just inside the door. Staff's attitudes in general towards guests were less than attentive and certainly not welcoming. For a top tier hotel in the IHG group, their treatment of a platinum member and their guest was simply not up to scratch.
It was a great hotel. Everything was clean. It was close to a lot of locations, like time square. I changed my mind from 5 stars to 4 stars is because the parking lot. It was VERY hard to use.
