Nick, the service advisor who helps me all the time has done it again. Never a problem just coming in and dropping off my car for an oil change. He also gives a complimentary car wash. He gives you the multi point inspection without pressure.

edit: moments after I wrote the above review, Brandon Burney replied to my email to remove me from there customer list for failing to reply to my information inquiry. He replied back with "Here is my response no thanks to your offer remove me as well".
Although it made me laugh, it was ultimately unprofessional. I would have forwarded the messages to the General manager but was unable to get there email. I did forward to Internet sales manager Veronica Gray.

I have a 2005 Honda Insight which I have regularly had serviced at Honda of Pasadena ever since I got it (used) at the end of 2005. This car has been great for me. Although the gas mileage has steadily declined -- in the first few years it was always over 55 mpg, and now I feel fortunate if I get 50 mpg for a tank of gas -- it's really been a great car overall.

In December of 2012, the "check engine" light came on along with the "IMA" light. (IMA stands for Integrated Motor Assist.) I knew that couldn't be good.

I went to Honda of Pasadena right away to have it checked out. Connie Chan was my service rep. After having the car looked at by the technicians, she came to tell me the bad news: the IMA battery was degraded and needed to be replaced. The estimated cost of the repair was upwards of $3,000 -- not for the labor, but for the cost of the IMA battery.

The car had around 85K miles on it and I wasn't sure at the time whether it was under warranty. I told Connie that I wanted to go ahead and get the repair done, and that I would find the warranty and call her back. She ordered the part (it takes a few days to get this part, apparently) and I called her back to tell her that the warranty had indeed expired (75K miles / July 2012).

Connie had hinted earlier that the service manager might be able to "help me out" with the repair, but I didn't really pay much attention because I didn't know what she meant by that. Later that day, she called me to let me know what she meant ... that the Honda of Pasadena service department was going to cover the cost of the replacement of the IMA battery. I was sure that I had misunderstood. "Why?" was my question, and she answered "Because I asked." Huh? I still didn't get it, but wasn't going to argue ...

When the part came in, I took the car back in, and they replaced the IMA battery. I thought I would be paying for labor, at least, but in the end my total cost for the repair was $0.00.

Connie explained that it was partly because the Insight was something of a concept car for Honda. It didn't feel right that the IMA battery should expire a mere 5 months after the warranty did. The service manager described this as a one-time good-will gesture on behalf of Honda and the Honda of Pasadena service department. (I think they're telling me not to expect free repairs in the future. But why would I?)

I have always liked having my car serviced at Honda of Pasadena because I can work in the "quiet room" and they have free wi-fi. They've always dealt fair with me. But this particular experience was above and beyond.

Many service departments would have been delighted to take my money for this repair, even if they had some kind of special leeway for a hugely expensive part for a car that Honda isn't making any more. Honda of Pasadena's service department deserves a great deal of credit for doing the right thing.

Fred K. was awesome and very accommodating and provided great service! He was patient as I looked at my options and answered any questions that I had. He also explained every feature that the cars had and when it came to closing the deal he made sure that I understood everything on the contract. Would definitely recommend him to friends and family!

This place is garbage. I've been trying to get a rental approved for the past several months, and we keep getting the run around. The first time I asked for help they turned me away because I didn't have the car with me, yet I had all the information needed (including the VIN, which clearly showed a recall was necessary).

When I made the point that I had a daughter and if I was supposed to risk her safety so they could see the car, which would end up stored at our place eventually anyway, the lady said, "Well, let's hope for the best." Yea, let's hope my family stays safe while I keep being asked to wait.

I finally called main Honda headquarters; when they said they had finally sent the information to this location, nothing was on file when we again visited.

I'm not sure why we had to call headquarters to begin with. The dealership itself should have been authorized to approve a rental (according the main Honda people).

This is ridiculous and those commercials are a joke.

The service here has always been great, sadly he moved on and I started looking for another mechanic. Today was my first visit back and Michael and the team took great care of my wife's car I will be continuing service here. 5+ years and Cars still running great.

My car would no start which seemed unreal with 6,500 miles on it. My fob would not work either so I called Honda to see if I could call AAA, Honda confirmed I could. AAA got my car started, said I needed to have it on for a minimum of 1/2 hour as there was a battery problem. Got the car to Honda, they replaced the battery under warranty. Called and said I could pick up the car and every thing has been fine since.

Karen and her staff were very helpful! You can definitely feel the positive energy that Karen carried and it made for a wonderful and pleasant experience. She took the time to answer my questions, address my concerns, and follow up with updates as soon as they became available. She made sure that I knew who to contact when she would be unavailable because of her day off and made me feel welcome and like a very valued customer. Karen is definitely an asset to this company and her interpersonal skills as well as her professionalism give me peace of mind and make me feel like I am in good hands. She even took the time to wipe down the inside parts of my vehicle as a preventative measure for COVID-19 and made me feel like she genuinely cared. Thank you Karen and to the rest of your staff!

He even stayed after hours to make sure that everything was going well. He even gave me a private lesson on how everything in the car works. The gentleman that attended me and the car was very professional and explained the repairs in detail. The letter I received notifying me about airbag recall said that the repair should take about 45 minutes. I know better than that. The service advisor said 2-3 hours. The actual time was 4 hours. I had things to do, walking distance from the dealership, so I made the most of it, but the estimated time should be made clear from the beginning.

Just purchased an odyssey through Mo Halawa and Brandon Burney. Brandon helped me over the phone with all the questions that I had and he even brought over 2 cars that I was interested from the sister store that he did not have in his dealership. I was interested in 2 different color and he was able to get both colors within couple of hours so I can come in on the same day to make the purchase. When we came in, Mo assisted us with all the process from showing us the car to explaining all the question we had when we saw the car. It took a little over 2 hours for the whole process of test driving to purchasing the car. Mo was very professional in dealing and answering all our concerns. Mo even called us 3 days after the purchase to see how we are doing with the car and he even took more time to answer some questions that we had regarding the car. I definitely recommend this dealership and both of the reps that we were lucky to have met and dealed with.

My husband had an appointment at 7 am he waited one hour and 30 min and he went up to the desk to ask if the car was ready, since they said it would take 1 hour when my husband asked the person at the counter They responded oh yes your car it s ready let me get your paperwork . My husband said no one called him to inform him the car was ready who knows when or what time car was ready if he hadn t asked he would probably waited longer .I really wish they would improve service when we visit the service Dept and also on the phone .! I'm giving it 4 stars because I've only actually been there once, I happened to be in Pasadena today and recently got a new phone a couple days ago but was unable to pair it with my new 2018 Honda Accord touring. I called and the girl on the phone was very courteous and said come on over and you don't have to wait and she was right the sales manager hooked me up with a guy that in literally less than 5 minutes had it connected. In the short time I was there everyone I came in contact with was courteous and although they were busy the customers seemed happy and things appeared to be moving smoothly in the service department. The only reason I didn't buy my car from them is because it was a bit far from where I live. I will definitely be back in the future though.

I am writing this review specifically about our positive experience with Diego (a salesman) at this Honda dealer. My husband and I recently went to Honda of Pasadena for the first time for service on our Honda Pilot. The first person we encountered there was Diego. Even though he is not part of the service department, he went out of his way to greet us and make sure that we were taken care of and directed to the right area. He was very helpful and friendly. He made us feel very welcome even though he's a salesman and had nothing to gain by helping us since we were only there for service not to buy a car. Coincidentally we returned a couple weeks later for a different service problem and who was the first person to greet us again? Diego, as helpful and friendly as the first time.

We bought our Honda Pilot from Goudy Honda and have always gone there for service. We have not been unhappy with Goudy. However, we have decided to start getting all our service done at Honda of Pasadena based on great employees like Diego. We have always owned Hondas and when we are ready to buy our next Honda, Diego will be who we intend to buy a Honda from. We are very pleased with Honda of Pasadena in general and Diego specifically.

Based on a service visit: guy outside told me I wouldn't be seen without an appointment because they were to busy. Got turned away. Came back to ask for an appointment, was greeted by the service manager who said I could be seen. -.- . service took about an hour. I used there WiFi room. It was dirty. I cleaned it up. Set aside the computer on the floor, wrapped the phone on a separate table, Ethernet cable was stuck under the computer so the cable was pinched. I had to fix that to get a direct line. George helped me with my AC service last week. Although the AC part wasn t immediately available, he made the whole process a pleasantly productive one. He was proactive, friendly and result-driven. They provided me with shuttle service on the two days I need to take in my car because the part having to be ordered. I usually shy away from coming to the dealership for my car service but this recent experience definitely changed my view about that. Thank you George and Honda team!! You made my week!

Karen and Henry are so helpful!! They make me want to come back every time. Karen especially helped me with my AC compressor for my Honda Civic, which is (overly priced) but the new monthly payments option is wonderful, and good for building your credit score up too, if your young.

I was lucky indeed to find myself working with Mo Halawa, Internet Sales Consultant. Mo was patient, careful, consultative, honest and genuinely happy for me when I made my choice of a Civic Hatchback to replace the Honda Fit I'd originally leased.

Thought the place was closed. Showroom dim. Some bean counter foolish idea of saving a few bucks on electricity. Dumb. Made for a creepy setting. Felt like I walked into a Shark nest, all the salespeople approaching me and sizing me up. Lousy amenities for customers waiting. Stale cheap coffee, no snacks. Fred Kabrite made our day yesterday! My husband and I went in looking for a used car and left with a brand new car :). Since we arrived everyone was so nice and courteous. Fred Kabrite went above and beyond to help us finding the right car. He was so patience and answer all of our questions. He explained the difference between the cars we were interest in, and we never felt rush while we were making our decision. He give us the best advice and we even tested drive two cars while we were there. We are so happy with our new car! And we thank Fred for all of his patience and help.
