Great location! I was walking distance from my event, food, shopping and sightseeing! The hotel was nice. The door of our room was heavy and slammed anytime we left, which I worried bothered people around me. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

I'm here for a conference. I'm a Diamond Hilton member and it feels like I spend half my life in hotels. Three days of meetings in the meeting space here and the group hosting the conference did not pay for group wifi access. Because of this, I cannot connect at all. There is only one wifi network and even though it's there, I can't get on it. I paid $14.95 a day to have internet in my room, but down here I'm out of luck. What kind of a hotel does not have wifi covering the entire property? Especially a business-travel oriented hotel? The Marriott I can see from my room looks like a better solution. Being not connected to wifi for 8 hours, 3 days in a row is making my work life miserable. I keep having to run to a place that has wifi in the building in order to VPN into my company's network so I can continue to work. The hotel is trying to double dip on wifi earnings by charging the guest directly in their room, and only connecting meeting attendees if the group also paid. Don't stay here.
We had a conference at this hotel & I was very impressed. The F&B staff wasn't exceptional, but that's one of my only knocks on the hotel. It's great to be downtown & within walking distance of so many attractions!
Not Google. Bath Shower not draining. . I did notified them . They said they will take care of it but nobody took care of it during my 2 day of stay. . Not even a single bottle of water in the friz. Not a good experience
Really busy visit on the 4th of July, check in could have taken less time. Well worth upgrade to a higher room, but sadly the fireworks were very disappointing, great views of the river traffic though.
Bad room service. Paid for executive level but didn't receive amenities. Did not receive water bottles upon check in. We were told we be charged 9.50 a night for Wi-Fi when it was free. We were told breakfast was not included and were not given our breakfast vouchers. Our room was not on the 29th floor on the executive level. Not access to the executive lounge. It takes an hour for them to provide coffee and sugar and doesn't give enough. We were told the executive level was closed recently when they sold younique corporate packages that included upgraded pricing for executive amenities.
The hotel is in a great location. Very nice. But has all the hang ups of a normal expensive hotel. The WiFi is very expensive and not usable in the evenings when everyone is online. The restaurants and shops in the hotel are very expensive as well. The rooms are difficult to climate control and the mattresses on the beds need to be replaced. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are incredible.
Great location. We used the "park & stay" option. Hitel its self has many amenities; restaurants, coffee places, and is connected to the River Walk Mall.
Great service and clean rooms. However, everything is stupid-expensive. Also, if you're staying during Carnival and Mardi Gras you can't get to your hotel because the streets are all blocked off!!!
My experience was exclusively at Drago's Restaurant inside the Hilton Riverside. Our party of 8 was seated right away and our drink order was taken within minutes. Food was great and service was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend Drago's!
Beautiful place. Had a room over looking the river and could hear the jazz music. Only thing is the hotel is very large. Make sure you have directions!
Nice hotel in a great location. But everything is way overpriced. Breakfast buffet is $23, bagel with jelly is $6.95, WiFi cost an extra $10 per day, workout room is $12.95 per day, bolted water $3.
Very nice hotel! Great rooms and awesome service!! Convenient location...next to the outlet, casino, trolley, and restaurants. Walking distance to another outlet, Canal Street and Bourbon (if you're up for the walk). The only negatives are More
The stay on the 10th and 11th of August would have been better had someone warned us that the NABJ was having a convention here. The hotel is packed to capacity with so much hustle and bustle and we had to wait for our room for 2.5 hours after returning from our cruise. Lovely hotel but the customer service is a little iffy depending on who you deal with.
An upscale hotel with beautiful views. We stayed here before our cruise. The hotel is attached to a mall with many stores, food court, and of course, the cruise terminal. You don't have to go outside, to walk from your room to the ship.
The Hotel is massive yet easy to navigate. Close to many amenities and places to visit. Room was beautiful and had a view of the city and river. The breakfast food was not as memorable due to the service of wait staff being sub par. Hilton needs to step up and train their individuals to smile and give great customer service.
I was able to get a room with a view of the Mississippi River. Modest but nice room and accommodations. Staff were friendly and very helpful in answering questions and meeting needs. I attended the Nation Healthcare Coalition Conference which was hosted here and they did a nice job.
I have always wanted to stay here. It was amazing!!!! Everything here was perfect and hotel is huge. Restaurant are wonderful. Walking distance from everything. Customer service is exceptional. Will try to stay here every time I visit New Orleans and that is alot!!! Happy customer.
We checked in after driving for 18 hours getting away from hurricane Irma and our keys were not working. I had to go back to the front desk (rather long walk) a couple of times (with my 1 yo and a 4yo) until someone from security opened the door for us. After we started unpacking the security guy came back to let me know we had to change rooms. The new room was located in a really busy hallway where people were extremely loud during the night, someone was even listening to music next to our room and woke us up. Also be water of the ridiculously expensive parking. Over $40 a day, and the garage is horrible. Oh, and our key didn't open the gate at the garage as it was supposed to.
It's pretty nice, and fun that it's connected to the outlet shops. The location is pretty good, a quick ride or 10-15 minute walk to various points of interest. Downsides: There aren't enough dining options on premises, and they charge $5 to use the gym.
They are known for their charbroiled oysters and they did not disappoint! (Sprinkle some Crystal hot sauce on them). The seafood pasta was very good (ask for extra Cajun seasoning). Will definitely be back.
As a Hilton honors gold member, I was unimpressed. I've stayed in this hotel several times before but it's definitely more worn down now. The 1st room I checked in had insects in the bathroom. You think they'd check me into an upgrade but I got a room with an even worse view (the building wall and part of the bridge) and looked even more dated. Small rooms & the amenities shut down pretty early. They're charging extra because of the location because the conference price isn't worth what you get. Very noisy as there were sounds inside all night, never mind the train that others already spoke about. They don't have the cocktail hour that most Hilton honors members are accustomed to, so other than a couple bottles of water there really wasn't a perk to being a member.
Friendly staff who were very accommodating and clean room with a great view! After we checked in the hotel's concierge sent me a text message asking if our room was to our liking and if we needed anything. I thought that was a lovely feature! Room service was timely and the food was amazing! Who knew some of the best lobster mac and cheese was at a hotel in New Orleans? Cleaning service checked-in daily with us and did a great job each time they cleaned.
Overall a wonderful experience! I would absolutely come back and recommend to others!
Great experience at this hotel. Drago's located in the lobby have some of the best seafood I've ever had. The Po-Boys and charbroiled oysters are some of the best in town. Rooms were clean. Comfortable beds. Would stay there again
Don't waste your time if you think you're going to get an advertised discounted Room at this place their online advertised prices are a gimmick. Spent 20 minutes listening to reasons why they wont honor their advertised prices. They were anxious for a negative review and couldn't have cared less. Their attitude was they had a Manopoly on Riverside, ended up Marriott offored a way better deal and way closer to the French Quarter.
The Hotel itself is beautiful, but they overcharge for water and it's almost $10 to use the Wi-Fi. The room was nice, but several items were broken when we arrived.
Extremely large horizontal layout. Stayed there during a convention I was attending down the street. Room was clean and spacious but the view was awful from the window. On me I guess, should've asked for another room and one closer to the lobby. No one was there, several days after a hurricane narrowly missed New Orleans.
The Hilton New Orleans Riverside is in an excellent location for a trip to the French Quarter, the new Riverside Outlet Mall, Harrah's Casino, or the aquarium. In short, the location is perfect.
The rooms are nice and spacious. We did have an issue with our toilet- it would shoot water at us whenever we flushed it (not the most pleasant of experiences). We also had a bad experience with a drunk waitress, but this is New Orleans!
All in all, it's a perfect jumping off spot for many of the tourist destinations you'll want to visit. One word to the wise- this is a popular conference hotel. If you want to avoid a packed experience, ask your reservation agent what conferences are in town.
Went here for a company Christmas party. The inside is great, the staff is friendly and the food was amazing. The inside appeared to be well kept and clean. My complaint is the parking area. It's dark, and while there are multiple garages for parking, one of the had extremely tiny places to park, and we're in a car. Not to mention many people took up 2 spaces. But either way found a place to park in the end and everything turned out great.
I stayed at the Hilton Riverside New Orleans for four nights in April 2019. To say the least I will not be returning. I travel for a living domestically and internationally and I have never once ever, have had a rat in my room. There was a rat in our room just running around like he belonged. We phoned the guest services and was moved to another floor. We requested for general manager to reach out to us multiple times, but he never did. Nothing was offered to us and at this point we could not change hotels because our monies were tied up in this one. Also, while there a security breach took place..and everyone was locked out of their hotel rooms for hours. We had an important event to attend that evening which had to be delayed, because no one could get into their hotel room. This happened more than once even after the problem had supposedly been fixed. I would not recommend this hotel to any traveler. If so make sure your suite cases are zipped up and off of the floors.
Great location, comfortable accommodations, texting room/checkout service and decent restaurant. However, no Continental breakfast, and no heat (yes, most of year is warm/hot, but the are cold weeks). I'd go back, but I may checkout another hotel first.
The Hilton is a very nice place to stay. It close to the trolly lines so its easy to see the sights. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping does a great job. Resturant is a bit pricey but it is New Orleans ya know. parking anywhere here is expensive. Nightly valet parking is $49. We had a great time here. We had a city view, that was nice. They have river view for a little extra that are very nice. All in all, we were please with our stay. You will not go wrong staying here.
Weird!!...anyway hotel restaurant was good. Carousel bars elegant Door staff always professional. I would recommend some small adjustments to management detail and Radom inspection. Miracles can be achieved.
Location room was right by the river side could see the cresent city connection, had a great bar and quick food or starbucks to pick up on the 2nd floor. The room was cozy. The shower and tv could be a little updated. But nothing bothersome at all. Its a decent location from every thing as well Harrah, bourbon, canal place, and the aquarium/river walk.
I thought the room we stayed in on the third floor, offered a great view of the river. The river boats top deck was same level as our room and you could feel the energy from the boats. Ocean liners also cruised by. The sunrises and sunsets, incredible. We got a food Boucher and we had breakfast every morning and enjoyed freshly made beignets. There is also, in the adjacent mall, a cafe du monde, it's not the original, but they taste the same without waitting for hours in line. There is an electric tram that is just outside of the Hilton. The French quarters are maybe a 1/2 mile short walk from the hotel on he river walk. Taxi was about 11 dollars from the hotel split between 4 people. I would definitely stay there again.
I cannot believe that hilton charges its guests an additional 39.00 a night just to park their car while staying as a guest at this hotel. I am ashamed to say that I am a hilton honors member and will not be staying at any hilton hotels anymore.
Great hotel usually but this time didn't quite hit the mark due to other patrons. Dogs were in elevator, hallways, lobby, etc. (despite a no dog policy-seems the hotel staff just looked the other way). Evacuees were congregating in lawn chairs at entry in groups which made me uncomfortable. Neighbor woke me up in room next door with loud music and laughing....and marketplace worker was not pleasant or cheerful.... maybe it'll be better next time.
Just checked in today. Here for three nights and wish I could get out of my stay and find a room somewhere else. Room reeks of mildew, had to move to a second room which also still smells of mildew. The lobby is decievingly nice the rest, very very rundown, stains on floors headboards, rust in the bathrooms, staff is nice but do and make up for what a dump the hotel is. This Definitely not up to Hilton standards and don t stay here if you re thinking it s close to the convention center it s not, I would say it s at least a half a mile walk from the closest side of the convention center.
I was recommended the food at the hotel. The especialty being grated oysters. The recommendation turned out to be a very good one. The food was great, and the service really good. It is a very busy restaurant, but they have sufficient staff to provide excellent service. I highly recommend it.
The hotel was nice and was in walking distance from Bourbon Street as well as quite a few other things. The room was very clean and comfortable and I enjoyed the view of the river. I was however disappointed in the expensive overnight parking costs as the hotel itself wasn't exactly cheap.
I was so disappointed in my stay. I asked for a banana to be brought to my room and they told me I had to go through room service... For a banana! They don't have ear plugs either.... It's New Orleans, how do you not have ear plugs at a hotel that is in a city that doesn't really sleep? There were no water bottles in the rooms either, which to me is just basic. All the details were missed
This was honestly the biggest and nicest hotels I have ever been too. Centrally located, getting to wherever you wanna go in NOLA is a breeze and with 3 different restaurants to go to finding a place to eat is simple. I would no doubt stay here again.
We checked in last night & we were convinced to upgrade our room (for $50 more per night). We are in a Riverside view room on the 23rd floor, but if this room is an upgrade , I would be reluctant to see our original room. The room & bathroom in the upgraded room are extremely small. The room feels old. I would rather be in the original non-upgraded room that I booked & save the $200 . The high floor & view don t justify the price. I feel like they pulled one over on us at check-in.
The staff are super unaccommodating. They will not let you ship out a package (even with prepaid AND scheduled pickup) from this hotel. If you have a 5am flight you might as well go ahead and put your ticket in the shredder because they will make you stand in person and wait for a fedex agent to get on duty. POOREST SERVICE OF ANY HILTON EVER.
The room was really nice and we were suprised with the deal we got. The mall attached (river walk ) is convient and pretty and the market place helped a lot when we wanted a snack.
Good location, just by the French quarter and near trolley lines. Staff are friendly and responsive. My only issue has been the shower area in the room. The tile grout lines had dark mold or mildew like areas. Not what I was expecting. They moved me to another room, it was better but not perfect. First time I had this in a Hilton.
