I thought the room we stayed in on the third floor...

I thought the room we stayed in on the third floor, offered a great view of the river. The river boats top deck was same level as our room and you could feel the energy from the boats. Ocean liners also cruised by. The sunrises and sunsets, incredible. We got a food Boucher and we had breakfast every morning and enjoyed freshly made beignets. There is also, in the adjacent mall, a cafe du monde, it's not the original, but they taste the same without waitting for hours in line. There is an electric tram that is just outside of the Hilton. The French quarters are maybe a 1/2 mile short walk from the hotel on he river walk. Taxi was about 11 dollars from the hotel split between 4 people.
I would definitely stay there again.
