I was discriminated against, by the management and...

I was discriminated against, by the management and supporting staff, on March 7, 2018, for simply asking the front desk agent for a mint. After he said he does not have any, I kindly asked a hotel guest for a mint and the front desk supervisor brutally interrupted, and scolded me for such an innocent gesture, after I walked off, the front desk agent reported to his customer service employee to "keep an eye on me", and now had this customer service guy creepily watching my every move.

Now, I was visiting the hotel on a very important business meeting, with my colleagues, two of them being actual hotel guest. While in our business meeting, I spotted another Hilton employee in a corner of the hall, on the phone, randomly at times looking at me and my group. After a few minutes I went to the restroom, and while returning from the restroom, I was again brutally startled by a Hilton janitor, that scolded me for "walking in the hotel, while not being a hotel guest", and said that is against policy, she was very loud, rude and down right unprofessional for a 4 star hotel the suppose to base there principles on genuine Customer Service.

So the next day, my same colleagues and I , visited the Hilton to discuss this devastating and embarrassing situation that happened the night before. The same front desk agent was the same one from the prior night, ironically. And after hearing us out, responded in a dismissive, arrogant and nonchalant and un-understanding way; and the whole conversation went no where. We then were met by the Manager of the supervising Front desk agent, who's name is Laurie Byrde, now she was much more arrogant, dismissive and rude compared to the Front Desk agent, not only did she meet us at the lounge area and refuse to sit down with us to hear our side of the story(while we was all sitting down at the table, she came to us, and thinking she was going to sit down with us, she arrogantly said she was going to stay up), she took a defensive stand on the whole situation, never listened to what we had to say, was sarcastic with her responses, and basically said that its the hotel policy to make sure solicitors, homeless, and people of such nature aren't roaming the hotel(which assumed all guest could possibly fit in this category, and so happens, I was put in that category on March 7, 2018), I was discriminated, and felt I was racially profiled and judged on how I was dressed that evening(wearing a hoodie, with a white tee, khakis and formal boots). Laurie eventually as we were talking said she is done, and walked out on us. My colleague went to ask for the general managers info, and Laurie was talking to the Food and Beverage manager of the Hotel, my colleague asked Laurie for her managers contact info, and she said she could only give out the email, he agreed, but then she ignored my colleague and stood there and start telling the Food and Beverage Director the conflict, in a gossiping way.

It had to take the restaurant of the Hilton hotel, Food and Beverage Director, to kindly visit us without being asked, and shared words of compassion, understanding and concern. HE WAS THE ONLY EMPLOYEE during this fiasco, to show true sincere concern and the wanting to help sincerely.

The manager, Laurie Byrde, came back after being asked to get the GM's contact info, and wrote the wrong email address on the business card, which had to be corrected by the kind Food and Beverage director.

I feel now, that I have a very tough time with Hilton, and will think twice about going to a Hilton brand hotel, and I hope everyone reading this will take Caution before going to this specific hotel and the Hilton brand because I do not want anyone to feel and be treated the way that my colleagues and I were treated.

Thank you and God bless.

I go out of town on personal trips at least several weekends every year, and I occasionally travel for business; I always stay at Hiltons when I have the chance. With that said, this is probably the worst Hilton I've stayed at.

First, there's no self-parking, only valet parking. If you don't want to spend an extra $25/night (they advertise it as $22/night but don't tell you that there's also tax and a "service fee"), your closest option is a parking garage about four blocks away.

We arrived in the evening to check in for a four-day long stay, and they gave us a room, so we went up to it. First, it wasn't even the room I had booked; I booked a standard king and I got a twin double. But more than that, there was a ladder in the bathtub, a hole in the ceiling, and the sink had been dismantled. We went down to the front desk to ask for a new room, and the receptionist told us the room they placed us in was out of service, and they were overbooked and had no unoccupied rooms. Not his fault, so I don't blame him, and he did manage to get us a room at the Sheraton instead.

The Sheraton treated us just fine for the night we were there, but they didn't have any room for the rest of the weekend. Fortunately, the Hilton did, so they offered to upgrade our room to a corner king suite for our troubles. That's nice of them, but it was still rather inconvenient to have a three hour window during the afternoon when we had nowhere to store our luggage. The front desk manager in the morning when we arrived to check on our room was rather grumpy and looked like she was tired of talking to us before we had even done anything, but at least we got a room.

The "corner king suite" was honestly pretty mediocre, and I'm not sure it had much more usable space than any standard king I've been in at a Hampton or a Garden Inn. There were some questionable choices in the room layout, such as no door for privacy between the sink and the rest of the room, and a short little hallway that one had to go through to get from the sink to the shower and toilet. We had a refrigerator, which was nice, but it was placed inside a cabinet that was just small enough to make it hard to open the refrigerator door.

Also, one normally expects to find a small nook with an ice machine and some vending machines out in the hallways, right? Well, at one point I needed to go get some ice, and there was none on our floor. I've been to hotels that only had ice machines on every other floor, so I went down one to look there... and still nothing. I decided to just go down to the front desk, and they told me I could get ice from the freezer in the concession stand. Inside it were zip-loc baggies of ice that had apparently slightly melted and fused together, making a single large block of ice, which is not useful for basically anything you might want ice cubes for.

What made that really inconvenient, of course, is that you have to take the elevator to get down there. There are only three modestly-sized, slow elevators to service the entire 15 floors. When the hotel is fully booked, that means there is a line at the elevators all day long, even at two in the morning. When we finally checked out, I had to wait almost thirty minutes for an elevator to pass by that wasn't completely full.

To top it off, when the valet brought my car up front -- which took another ten minutes -- he had apparently taken the courtesy of fiddling with the environment controls in my car and had left the AC running at full blast. I feel like I should've written down my odometer reading to make sure he didn't go joy riding in it.

I still like Hiltons in general, but I won't be staying at this one again. The Sheraton and the Omni nearby are both nicer options.

I stayed at Hilton Fort Worth for a convention and I couldn't be more pleased with the arrangements there. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are prompt and friendly. Perfectly located in the heart of Fort Worth and a short walk from West 7th. This is a great option for anyone looking to enjoy downtown without breaking the bank.

This was my second stay with HFW, the first time it was great, super friendly staff, nice room etc., yesterday however was awful. The front desk manager Andrew was short, rude and unhelpful. He treated my friend and I poorly, refused to answer questions and seemed bothered that we were there to check in. I had a couple more questions so I went back down to the main lobby to speak with him, again super short and just overall rude and unhelpful. I asked about upgrading my room (I m aware there s a charge), he stated I couldn t afford it and walked away. I m baffled at this. I certainly hope I never have to book a room at HFW again after this experience.

Came in for business meeting and they tried to add $100 to my booked room at check in. Would not fix it and said they were sold out, walked three blocks south to the Omni and will never be back. Crooks still charged my credit card and it s being disputed.

Folks here could not answer my question about where I could park my truck. I didn't want valet parking, since the another Hilton valet wrecked my car and didn't make it right. The employees here were very standoffish and did not have good customer service skills. I canceled my stay here and went to the Hampton around the corner.

As historical as this place was, being the last hotel JFK stayed in before being assassinated, it was sub-par. The hotel was beautiful don't get me wrong, but the bathroom was the size of a small closet and the shower pressure was absolutely terrible.

I went here for an annual meeting of a local nonprofit. The meeting space on the second floor was beautiful and spacious. The service provided by all staff was great. And the catered lunch went over very well.

A nice, historic hotel that is the last place JFK stayed the night. The hotel has been maintained well and modernized appropriately. The rooms are spacious and clean and we booked at a great price because Hilton was running a deal. Overall, nice experience and great location.

RUN AWAY!!!

RUN AWAY!!!
We stayed here for a convention and for the third morning in a row, there is no hot water for showers.
The staff thinks it's funny and laughs at each guest walking away after complaining.
If you don't leave a large tip and remind housekeeping to do things like take out the trash, refill the coffee pods, etc, it won't get done.
We asked if we could get an early checkin, but were told the room wasn't available. We asked 2 more times over the next 5 hours and was finally given a room 7 minutes prior to normal checkin time.
Oh... DONT USE THE MIDDLE ELEVATOR.

Thanks for the hospitality. HA.

I will NEVER come here again. My recomendation... RUN!!!!!

The hotel is great. The look and feel are awesome. This is the same hotel that President JFK stayed in when he was in Fort Worth. However one thing that's annoying is the Wifi. It works but it's kinda faulty at times. Overall its a great hotel to stay in and I reccomend it if you're a traveler in the area!

A well run and old hotel. It's what you would expect from a Hilton but this place has a special place in history. This was the hotel that John and Jackie Kennedy stayed at the night before he was assassinated.

nice place to stay in if you are in Dallas. located at downtown so most places are a walking distance. You however have to pay for parking at this location. I assume all the other hotels in this area charge for parking as well.

So dissatisfied. I travel a lot for work and stay with Hilton often and this one misses the mark. I had a three night stay lined up. My shower drain was clogged completely. The windows both leaked terribly during the rain. I told them in he AM and they never fixed either issue when I returned after working all day. Staff tried to be respectful, but never actually did anything useful. Again, dissatisfied with the service. Won t stay here again.

I will never stay at this hotel again. I have stayed here the past two years for a conference and both times have had extremely unpleasant experiences. The hotel management does little to make up for big issues. Last year, I arrived and was told there were no rooms available for me, even though my room was booked months in advance. I was given the address of a hotel 20-30 minutes away and told to get an Uber. The hotel was a dump. I was compensated with 2 cheap bottles of wine for the inconvenience. This year the hot water went out, my A/C doesn t work, the internet is pitiful, and the front desk has been less than responsive. I forgot my toiletry bag at home, so I called the front desk to find out if they had any available for me to purchase. I told them specifically what I needed and that I was in a hurry, and they said it would be up right away. 35 minutes later I was delivered the wrong items.

I was compensated this year with 1 bottle of cheap wine, and a fruit plate. I was also given the correct toiletries when the manager was notified.

Both times I have been here at least one elevator has been under maintenance.

Too bad a piece of history is being run into the ground by Hilton.
