Nice. Food over priced with small portions. 130 bucks for 2 people. Staff was friendly and helpful. Skip eating in the restaurant. Too dark and way way overpriced.
This hotel is absolutely horrible. We love Hilton s everywhere except for here. The valet is slow and mismanaged while In our room the paint is chipping and the beds are out of this world uncomfortable. Also everything is noisy. The shower is noisy, the AC makes a terrible ringing sound and the elevator doors are constantly bang leaving us with headaches. For all this I would expect decent WiFi but it doesn t work at all and neither does the satellite tv. I am very disappointed.
Beautiful hotel with lots of history. Pros- it is very affordable and puts in the heart of downtown and well within walking distance of many of the well known down town eateries and resturants and very short walk to Sundance square which is a great place to hang out.
Loved our stay as was for a date night but always feel there is room for improvement. First as Hilton honors member I had picked this hotel over Embassy as I love Hilton's digital key app and being able to pick my own room and forego the front desk. I spent several minutes picking out a room that might have a view. On the day of check in at 330 ish no digital key csme to my app. I called hotel . The rep that answered stated very matter of fact ..he was nice but just said that room is not ready. He did not follow it up wth let me check etc. I had to ask so what can we do. He then offered to check w housekeeping and or see about another room. I said anothet room would be fine but could he attempt to get us an outside window. I feel like he hurried me off the phone and didn't really listen. A few minutes later our digital key was delivered to 503. We arrived beautiful, clean room but has inside window overlooking the courtyard...no big deal but i was tiny bit disappointed as i dont think it would have taken much effort on his part but in grand scheme no big deal. Lastly there was a musty smell down our hall ..we were next to laundry so maybe that's why. I did call front desk about a reservation question and went ahead and mentioned this. They offered to have engineering come spray some stuff we declined as our room was mostly fine. Just kind of kills the fancy , clean hotel vibe for a second when you smell it.
We originally were going to stay 2 nights but due to some medical family stuff had to cancel our 2nd night. Front desk was very gracious and even offered us a late check out so we could at least sleep in a little.
So mostly a prefect stay. I admit I have bounced up and down Hilton honors levels diamond to silver so I am little picky. My husband and I do not really get real vacations so we will stay Hiltons as date night and I can be nit picky. I am pretty loyal to Hilton though because their customer service usually prevails. I highly reccomend this hotel and the area.
Rooms are OK, Wi-Fi reception is not the best in corner rooms (for example nn8). Very good location and short distance to many restaurants and shops. Parking only Valet ($ 20 per night).
Is price performance technically better than the Omni next to it. Especially because it is quieter.
Very nice hotel. Great location, nice rooms, good local eating options.
Went for small event. My father stayed here before and everything was perfect.
Staff is nice, rooms clean, elevators are fast. Lobby and hallways are a little chilly though.
Very nice event rooms, I would attend another function here if available.
Very classy. Extremely hospitable workers. Very much enjoyed the stay.
Good location. Close to the airport. Clean rooms. No free breakfast though.
Went to an event at this hotel. Although I didn t stay overnight I was really impressed with their staff, very friendly
It is truly an elegant piece of history. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Decor is updated and the location is perfect. No need to drive. Everything is within walking distance.
Had no towels in room when we arrived.
The room had a damp musty odor.
The shower was about to bite the dust on pressure. Was charged extra after leaving and still dont know why. Also tried to charge multiple times for valet after using it only one day. The night staff was very nice.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, steeped in history and plenty of amenities in the surrounding area, a must for anyone visiting the area
Beautiful historical hotel. Impeccable service. Beautiful rooms. Our stay for my husbands company Christmas party will always hold memories for us that we will always treasure.
Had a wonderful stay here. Consistently clean, quiet, and friendly.
Great staff, clean and spacious rooms, convenient to all of downtown Fort Worth, a place I'd like to return to
The rooms were gorgeous, staff friendly and the location was to die for. Also, the hotel is rooted in American history.
Staff was hospitable as they could be, beautiful scenery.
Great location, friendly folks, comfortable, well thought out rooms. This is close to many downtown restaurants. The desk clerk was kind enough to point us in the right direction. We also had a drink later in at the restaurant located inside. Don't bother with either food (we received a sample) or drinks
The room was great. Clean and tidy, everything you would expect from a hotel room.
LIVE MIDWEEK SERVICE - Wednesday evening @ 1830 - NVBC
Great hotel have stayed here before for annual conference.
After drinking at their bar, I found their bathrooms were locked. I don't really think I need more of a justification for a 1-star review. That is a terrible way to treat your customers.
In response to Ken: that is not what the front desk agent said when I asked where's a bathroom I could use. She said it's locked because there's no housekeeping until morning, no offer to unlock it.
It's a historic hotel, jfk stayed there and just with that, made it a great hotel. I love history and he's one of my favorite president's. The rooms were great, very nice and very clean. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The only negative was the anime convention that was going on. Some of the kids were very rude. I'd stay there again.
Great room, and amazing customer service. Walking distance from different places downtown.
Historically significant hotel when JFK spent his last night before being assassinated. But they kind of over do with numerous mentions of this wherever you turn around. You would expect a good service for such a reputed hotel, but staffs are rude and my breakfast was delivered way earlier than I had asked for.
Expensive so I should get what I pay for. Nope! Took all night to get extra blankets and pillows for our kids.
Comfortable rooms. A few minor details lacking (light bulbs missing in lamps, no soap). Great location.
The Cafe Texas and Starbucks are great. Beautiful hotel with a very comfortable 2nd floor lounge.
We stayed 4 nights for a convention the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff very courteous...the only thing that we were disappointed the hotel don't have a pool. The other thing the in room Dinning was horrible and overpriced...my wife's salad was served in a plastic box and my burger looked like something from 7/11 very disappointed.
The event I went to was just outside the hotel but the front lobby was clean and inviting. Hotel staff were courteous and helpful.
Hilton hotel has gone down hill so far it's almost like staying at a motel 6 except for the hiley overpriced cost, it just so sad
Easy to get to. valet required, no personal parking. Easy walking distance to downtown activities. Historical hotel where Kennedy stayed before his assassination.
Conveniently located for my purposes. Clean and well-kept rooms. Friendly staff.
The hotel is very accommodating. I came for a large conference and they handled our requests quickly and completely. I would definitely stay here again!
The room was nicely furnished and a comfortable size; however, the AC didn't appear to be cooling properly. Nice towels and actual quality bath products Hilton furnished were appreciated. The gentleman serving in the restaurant at breakfast was so kind and gracious... GREAT face for your hotel with his excellent customer service. We attended a dance convention. It seems like no biggie, but your staff kept the trash cans emptied. We unfortunately stayed at a hotel in Dallas last year, and the staff just let the trash overflow. Thanks for making a long weekend at your hotel clean and fairly comfortable.
The Hilton Fort Worth is conveniently located in the midst of all of the downtown attractions. Everything is within walking distance. Despite being in an old and quite historical building, the experience is still up to date due to the high level of service.
Luxury at it's finest. A historical hotel in a great location in downtown fort worth.
One of the nicest hotels I have been to. The staff is great and soooooo nice. It's very beautiful with a deep sense of historical events. Extremely clean.
Check in was quick and easy, hotel has a very convenient location, rooms were immaculate and beds were comfortable. The breakfast set up was great! A lot of different options! Donna and Katarina are hilton s dynamic duo! They were very attentive and you can tell they care about their jobs and their guests. 10 stars! Checkout was simple as well and the entire facility was great.
Beds were horrible. Aside from that, notucj different than any other 2-2 1/2 star hotel. I expect more from the Hilton brand.
nice spot, good location. JFK spent his last night in this hotel.
I just picked my wife up there tonight who was at a conference. She asked me to post. The staff was incredible, really nice and professional. The room was horrible! There was dried blood on the light switch, air conditioner didn't work one night. The bathroom ceiling was coming down at the joints. This is an old hotel that they have put no renovation in to. All they claim is that this was where Kennedy stayed the night before he was shot... And they haven't done anything to the hotel since apparently...If I had been staying there, this stay would have been comp'd. Don't stay at this hotel!
I'm going to be honest, I normally hate Hilton properties, however this may be one of my new favorites. During a time when customer service has been absolute trash everywhere else I've visited, this hotel has been the light on a hill for me. Nikki, the bartender, and Joseph, the front desk guy, were what I could best describe as warm and friendly. Honestly the best part of interacting with these two was having normal conversations and it is much appreciated these days.
The rooms were of course very clean and stately. I'd definitely stay here again. My only gripe may be the fact that the parking is valet only and I wouldn't mind the $31 charge associated with it if the valet operation we're better managed. Overall I'm a very happy guest and will be coming back again.
Very comfortable bed, nice location with train station. Shower was ok.
Hilton Fort Worth was very nice. Good service. Good everything. Would definitely recommend this place to somebody wanting to stay downtown.
The Hilton Fort Worth is in a great location in downtown Fort Worth. It is next door to the convention center and in easy walking distance to so many great restaurants in the area. My room was large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff i encountered were very friendly, especially the ones in the Concierge Lounge on the 15th floor. If you go to the Concierge Lounge, walk past it to room 1530 where you will see the Kennedy Suite where President Kennedy spent his last night before that fateful drive to Dallas. There are lots of pictures on the wall there as well.
Awesome spot, great location. Staff are friendly with a nice bar in addition to attached Ruth's Chris steakhouse & Starbucks in the lobby.
New opening of Lobby Bar... Excellent staff and service
Smoking room posing as a non-smoking room = Disappointing experience.
I wanted to enjoy this hotel. Especially given the history of being the hotel that JFK stayed in the night before his assassination. Unfortunately the hotel has a dated feel to it once you move into the floors with the rooms and a strong chemical cleaning agent smell in the hallways. I was hoping that this smell would only be present in the hallways, but upon entering the room, the chemical fumes were overwhelming and then beneath that was a strong cigarette smoke smell. I went back down to the front desk and asked to switch rooms, but they claimed that they had no other rooms. They did admit that the room was a former smoking room converted to non-smoking. But clearly cigarette smoke isn't easy to get out. So in the end I suffered through a night in the room and woke up the next morning with a scratchy throat. I won't be back here again if I can help it.
It was a nice hotel although I was just visiting my gf
Best customer service for miles. You wont be disappointed
This is not a Hilton. Just because you bought a 100 year old building with some JFK history behind it doesn't make it a Hilton. $300 for a room with single pane windows (yes... single pane!), no laundry service, an AC unit that's as old as the building (the maintenance staff had to come up and fix it twice), TVs that are 15 years outdated which matches the pressboard furniture. Why the rooms are $300+ a night is mystery. Never again!
Had BAL workshop here. Very nice downtown location, convenient walking to anywhere. Just the AC was too cold!
Mrs Irene at the front desk was the absolute epitome of customer service she along with the staff went out of the way to ensure our comfort
The Hilton in Forth Worth were very enjoyable. Matinence around was very clean. The employees were very helpful and polite
Beautiful hotel with an interesting history tied to President Kennedy and Hotel Texas. Spacious rooms, executive lounge, and located near lots of great restaurants. I will definitely be staying here again, next time I visit Fort Worth.
It was very crowded when I visited this hotel. They need more staff directing people traffic. The lobby restrooms were also difficult to find.
My strongest complaint is against the front desk staff. It was pretty bad. We stayed in room 1222. Showers were ICE COLD on 3 of the 5 days we were there. When i went to speak to the front desk staff, there were over a dozen other guests complaining of cold showers. The front desk staff looked blankly back at us and said, "We know." As we walked away, she looked at 2 gentlemen employees on the other side of the counter, and they began chuckling at how she had "handled us".
They were very rude to my teen kids who wanted to purchase some snacks at the hotel store. They rolled their eyes at us, sighed loudly if we tried to talk to them, and never once smiled or showed any hint of warmth.
On our 4th day, i asked to speak to the general manager. I was told, "NO." I had to explain everything to the front desk manager. She asked me what i wanted her to do about it. I said i would like the specific staff that was the rudest to apologize to my teens for the way she spoke to them. The front desk manager said, "thats probably not going to happen", and offered to comp one night of our stay. I asked again to speak to the general manager and was told, "Im sorry, I cant do that."
Ironically, we were staying at the hotel to attend a hospitality convention.
But... be sure to talk to Papa Mike- hes great. Also RUTH's CHRIS STEAKHOUSE IS FABULOUS! Service was consistently above and beyond. We loved the steak sandwich and homeade fries from the happy hour menu.
