Large number of books of all descriptions. Small therefore tight on space but very reasonably priced. Well worth a look. Oh and staff are nice as well

Never even knew this place exsisted, we always travel upto Barter Books in alnwick for a look round, but will definitely call in here 1st.
The 2 staff that were there were both friendly and helpful...... definitely worth s visit if your after a book.

Keel Row Book Shop is a reader's dream. The book shop is packed from floor to ceiling on all floors with a vast array of books covering many subjects and part of the joy is hunting down what you want. The prices are very reasonable and the customer service is first rate. If you like books this is the place for you.

Excellent bookshop in a beautiful old Tyneside townhouse. Antiquarian books on the ground floor but contemporary, modern classics and children's upstairs. Specialises in local history and literature. Some good rareities. Great for an hour or so browsing!

Best secondhand bookshop between York and Edinburgh

Old fashioned 2nd hand bookshop of the kind you just don't see anymore stuffed with all sorts of books from paperbacks to folio editions to rarities. Well worth a rummage

Really good range of books including some lovely rare ones, and has a lovely "old bookshop" feel to the place. However, it is very expensive and a lot of the books can be found cheaper on Amazon.

Brilliant book shop, focused on valuable editions. A treasure trove with a rotating stock. Always something interesting hidden amongst the stacks. One negative is one of the larger rooms upstairs has now been turned into an office, meaning there's no section for general fiction.

This is the best place to buy books in the northeast.

I have bought many items from the Keel Row Bookshop over the years the staff are always very helpful, the selection is huge its truly an Aladins Cave where you can lose your self for hours at a time

A proper Alladin's cave with books of all types, ages and prices, from contemporary children's titles to antiquarian books and everything in between. Very friendly proprietors too.
