I will never be able to say enough about how wonderful, caring and respectful this place is. They not only care for the patient, but for the families as well. My father passed recently there and they showed him so much dignity and respect. With all my heart I thank you. I am going to give back also and become a volunteer as well. It was wonderful and I can't wait to share with others the love and care I (my family) received there. May you all be blessed always.

I wish I could give a 20 star review! Journey Care helped us through my husbands end of life with the most fantastic care imaginable. They were so informative and willing to do anything we needed in record time. In the short time that we needed them they provided us with more comfort and resources than we could ever have imagined. Thank you, Julie, Sue and Darlene from the all the Henry's; you are amazingly caring humans and we love you for the help you gave us.

If I were reviewing anything other than a Hospice ...

If I were reviewing anything other than a Hospice facility I would dock major points for walking in with a father, and walking out without one. With my father, and with the people receiving this type of care, this is what must happen. The facility itself is wonderful on every level. The staff does everything they can to help the patient and the family. Each suite has space, allowing the family to spend the night with the patient, and there are amenities for the family and children. The nurse staff was incredibly helpful and caring. They take the time and effort to make sure the patients are as comfortable and well taken care of as possible. They have additional staff to help with everything else that you need help with in this situation. I am very thankful for the help that they provided my family.

Beyond words with gratefulness of your help with my mother and facilitating my mom's care from palliate to hospice. Thank you for your help in getting her home and comfortable. She went peacefully and as things were a whirlwind around me, you helped us with every step, especially when things progressed so quickly. This is truly what helped make it a beautiful transition for Mom's passing. She went how she wanted to go, at home with family. Thank you and thank you for helping us with our grief and being there not just for Mom, but for us as well. Bless you all!

These people are amazing and took the most wonderful care of my dad. They were 10 steps ahead of us with anything we possibly could have needed and they were compassionate and respectful. They helped us through the most difficult time we could have ever imagined with so much grace.

The last days of my moms life were spent here at Journey Care and I cannot say enough good things about the accommodations and staff. The room had a French door that could open up with a screen so you could visit and still distance. The staff was kind, compassionate, caring and accommodating from the front desk to the doctors, nurses, and chaplain. Mom was taken care of with a loving touch. The location and grounds were beautifully landscaped and cared for with a screened in gazebo for privacy in inclement weather. There were walking paths all around to relax and de stress. I am so very grateful that we chose this as her last residence.

My mom was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer that spread to her bones and spine and was put on palliative hospice. At first I was very sceptical about going with this company because I have read some bad reviews but did move forward with them. We did have her on it for a week at home until she had to go to their facility on February 29th in Barrington.
I was very pleased with the care that the staff had done for her. They let me know what was going on every step of the way. Tonya one of the nurses was amazing and so outgoing, warm, etc. She comfort me when my mom was getting ready to pass as well as after. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you for taking care of my mom.

Many would say we are a grieving family. This place is all about money and rude! Our father was talked into admitting himself and family was with him the whole time. He wap never given any of his meds or fluids. He went from good to comatose in three days. My brother demanded fluids and a nurse brought in a glass of water for someone they caused to be comatose. As my other brother and I were traveling home we got twelve calls in six hours rudely demanding the name of a funeral home before our father even passed and plain out refused to transfer him to the military VA clinic. This place is the last place I would ever use for a family member!

My Mom was just recently there after a short illness. We never thought we would be saying goodbye to her but JourneyCare made the most impossible, most difficult situation tolerable. Every member of their staff was exemplary, especially their nurses and techs. They always addressed my Mom and informed her of what was happening, even when perhaps there was no longer an awareness. She was treated with grace and dignity to the end. My sisters and I were always underfoot but we were made to feel welcome, allowed to spend day and night by her bedside.
Thank you to all of the staff at JourneyCare. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

JourneyCare is the true definition of medicine and healthcare as we know it. The compassion and care for human life far exceeds any other form of medicine as we know it and sets a precedent for what healthcare should be in this world. Thank you to all the angels who helped make my mother's last moments so precious to me her son and the rest of our family. We'll be forever grateful for the love and care you provided for her and all of us in her final moments.

I called journeys to get my mom set up on hospice on a Thursday. They came out Same day afternoon and the intake nurse could not answer any care questions from the national hospice questionnaire but promised she would get back to me in 24 hours. I never heard from her again and I called the office Monday to follow up and the phone keeps on ringing no 24 hour support as promised. Quite disappointed and they came highly rated.

This place was wonderful. It's rare for death to be as calm & peaceful as Hollywood portrays it.
They took such great care to make sure that my mom was comfortable & relaxed during her final days. And they were able to find "Elvira" by the Oakridge Boys to play during the celebration of life procession when she was being transferred out to the funeral home. She would have loved that people were singing along & bopping their heads as she made her exit.
