I was there to look around before booking a room. The main reason I'm choosing this hotel is because it's along a parade route that is coming up in September. From what I gathered, it looked very well maintained inside and the lobby (especially under the large skylight) was wonderful. I look forward to returning.

Rooms had decor updated but age showed so looks like 4 stars in photos but functions like 3 star: AC had to be reset to cool the room down enough, beds/plumbing were old (lumpy beds, toilet not flushing unless you held handle for a while, drain slow).

Lobby area is great for lounging, taking calls/doing work, meeting friends. Staff very friendly. Breakfast buffet was great too.

Valet parking only so I just used street parking nearby.

Hotel is not prepared for a massive crowd like A KON. This is 4 star velvet should be ready to open car door for the guests at any time, given the fact it's a old historic hotel, there should be a foundation issue, elevator should be maintained on basis, elevator should not shake when going up or down and the hotel should not have leaking toilet. Also when there will be a luggage storage for a convention, there should be attendee watching the luggage storage all the time, not misplaced a luggage.

While the location is perfect for convenience I was disappointed with the overall care that goes in to such a beautiful (and expensive) hotel. Even though it is advertised that they are at your service, when you call down for something you get an annoyed response of 'i guess I'll send ____ up to the room'. I guess I'm of the mindset that when someone pays to stay in a nice place you shouldn't feel guilty about requesting service. The hotel is in walking distance to the ft worth convention center so I assume the staff feel that it's ok to be subpar because it's known that they are always at the top for convenience purposes and will always have guests because of it. I expect more when it comes to what should be a first class hotel.

Super friendly staff. Very accommodating. Parking is expensive, $30 a night. The restaurant in the lobby serves delicious food. Rooms are very clean. The hallways and rooms look a bit outdated, could use a make over.

The hotel stay itself was okay, but let's talk about the valet services they provide. I absolutely do NOT recommend using them and that is why they only get one star. The valet attendant drove my car into a pole and then lied about the circumstances under which this happened. Luckily, I had the police present and they were able to call the attendant out on all of his lies. I had to fight to get my car towed to the shop and to get them to pay for a rental car while I wait for my car to be fixed. I also came home to discover that the hotel STILL charged me for valet parking. Are you serious? I'm not paying $25 for your to wreck my car. Once again, I will be the one inconvenienced as I call them and fight to be reimbursed for something that they are responsible for. The hotel managers didn't offer me anything to make up for the inconvenience of this whole experience. I'm sure I will be doing nothing but fighting with insurance companies for the next week or so. If you choose to stay there, great, but do NOT use their valet services, you will regret it.

No amenities offered, such as, room service, vending machines on the room floors, reduced restaurant hours, etc. The Hilton corporate website has no indication of this when making the reservation. Only learned at check-in. Room walls are paper thin, at best. Can hear guests in neighboring rooms. Staff were really good. Other than that and location, I would not stay here again.

Friendly service, good location, decent food, competitively priced, nice rooms, historic hotel. A solid experience, although I continue to dislike the "to-go" style room service that the chains are pushing in this hotel class as of late.

The ballroom was nice. Decent furniture for a speaking engagement. Lunch was ok. They served the same thing as a year ago. Parking is not good and that's where they lose a star. Valet is provided, but seems understaffed

When I got there they informed me that there would be a $45 per day fee for parking, no mention of this when booking of course. Then I get to my room and the A/C was not working properly and after an hour or two they finally sent someone to check it, the guy couldn t fix it, said well, your room faces the sun and offered to bring a fan. And the people at the hotel offered no solution to the issue. I was highly displeased with every aspect of the stay at this location.

While rooms in the hotel are good and the place is quite historic being the place with JFK stayed on his last night before being killed, the executive lounge offering leaves a lot to be desired and the bar served drinks at exorbitant prices. Just not a big fan of breakfast buffets. Location is excellent though with a great selection of restaurants close by.
