The facilities are too big. There are too many people; In fact I queued more than an hour to check-in. The amount of people makes it almost impossible to enjoy the hotel; since the common areas are for a small-medium hotel; Not a hotel with 8 massive towers. The rooms are clean and tidy; although somewhat old. And it has a very nice beach with an amazing lagoon on one side

Amazing resort!! The diamond membership is the best really feels like you are being welcomed home. The room was so great with complimentary waters waiting. Quick walk to the beach with restaurants and shopping right on the water.

This is the first hotel I have stayed in from Hawaii. Both food and shopping can be solved in the village, which is very convenient. As it is easy to understand Japanese, I recommend it to the first person because it is the most safe.
There are a few towers, but I think the best is to select Rainbow Tower Ocean View (Diamond Head side), including the price.
It's a bit old, but it's clean and comfortable.
Fireworks will be on the beach in front of the night on Friday night, so I'm looking forward to it too.
The place is a little off the main of Waikiki, but it is within walking distance, and there is also a trailer bus. It is also close to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, but a walk to the park in front of the center from here is one of my favorites.
The resort has a convenience store ABC store, several Starbucks that are the same in Japan, as well as a large variety of restaurants, including hotel restaurants and fast food in the village.
The best way is to take out pizza and seafood and eat in the room while looking at the sea.
There are several swimming pools, and the beach in front of us is very large, with a view of Diamond Head on the left, which I think is the best in Waikiki.
This accommodation cost is quite high, and you can get high resort fee on top of that, but I would like you to enjoy the merit to be worth it. Not only here but ...
The benefits of Hilton's Gold member have all but disappeared, but it is a good choice of first choice.
I spend the same money, so I can go to the resort of Okinawa five times, so I am sorry but I would like to go there again.

The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki offers easy access to the beach, shopping, and local attractions. Our king-size bed room is spacious and comes with a wet bar/fridge; couch, chaise lounge with ottoman; TV, DVD,Video game unit. The property has several pools, one of which is heated (Paradise pool) and has water slides; there's also a giant shallow lagoon on the property.

We visit often! It has a small town vibe, great pools, fun activities like fireworks every Friday and movie nights on the grass. Lot's of places to shop and eat. The beach access allowes you to see the volcano (Dimonhead) during the day and it gets even better at night. The bar and grill has live music and you can enjoy it while you're in the pool or at the beach. Great atmosphere and my favorite place to staycation! If your a tourist, you won't be disappointed.
The staff was very kind and I had a great time.
The staff was very kind and I had a great time.
There are specs that you can enjoy in the facility alone. I'd rather go outside ^ _ ^
In particular, the pool is substantial, so children with children can enjoy it.
Rental of bath towels can be done with the room key as many times as you like, so you can spend comfortably.
People who plan to purchase alcohol at the facility's ABC Mart cannot purchase without an ID card, so you should be careful when shopping from the pool.
I want to go again.

The reservation we made was supposed to be in the Alii Tower but whoever booked it messed it up we are now we are in the Diamond Head not near as nice they did give us the standard room rate which I'm assuming is the rate for this hotel any way but not sure they also comped our breakfast for the whole stay in one free dinner we have stayed here twice before and it was amazing that's why we came back for a third time tried several times to get upgrades told nothing is available the housekeeping staff is nice some of the people at check-in seem to be confused on some issues and not as pleasant the room we are in now had an insect issue but that seems to be resolved now I hope so all in all this visit to Hilton Hawaiian Village is nothing like we are used to which is why I gave it a three originally booked the reservation on my Hilton Honors card but since I didn't have the physical card at check-in they wouldn't put it on that card thank God I had another means of payment guess I lost all those points and my hundred dollar bonus I was supposed to get I think when we come to Hawaii again we will have to think long and hard as to where we are going to stay next time who knows

Very good experience at this hotel. This place doesn t need any air conditioners bc you just open the sliding doors and Wooow fresh air and ocean sounds helps you sleep in peace. I suggest getting a room in the corners of the hotel bc you get two balcony and this hotel make a excellent place to see the fireworks on Friday

Hilton Hotels worldwide or not the usual brand I stay with. I do enjoy the Hilton Hawaiian Village and the especially the ambiance at the Grand Islander Tower. I used to always walk through the front of the Hilton Hawaiian Village to enter the resort property but now I make it a point to walk through the Grand Islander Tower because of its exquisite architecture.

This is a great hotel in Waikiki to stay if you are with a large group of family or friends as there is ample amounts of space, shops, and dining at the facility which are all extremely convenient and great. The hotel was very well maintained cleaned and just overall beautiful. The beach access is right next to the hotel just be aware that this end of the beach does have a lot of rocky sand so to keep in mind while swimming. The only reason I give Hilton Hawaiian village Waikiki 2 stars and not four is because I wrote a letter to the hotel prior to the stay regarding holding conferences there for work which asked to see some of their spaces for a convention. I was only given a robotic email in response but never had anyone actually reach out about this even after asking the front office upon arriving. Most high end hotels are usually more welcoming to have people use their centers as it gives them more business but this was not the case. I know they were extremely busy but now I cannot recommend or refer Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki as anything else but just good place to bring the family or friends. I wish I could say more.

What a resort charge! $ 45 / day
As the facilities are getting older, prices are rising.
The photo shows the outlet of the counter.
If you look closely, it is cracked.
Those who take a hotel individually should be careful.
If you pay + $ 45, you can get another good hotel.
And resort charge is also cheap.

This was my first experience in Hawaii. I stayed here for a week back in 2015, as and this hotel strongly added to wife and I moving here at the start of 2016.
This hotel is perfect. Very beautiful with great (and expensive) restaurants. It's HUGE, and easy to get lost, but this place gives off the Hawaii vibe like none other.
Do yourself a favor and stay here. You won't be disappointed.

Awful check in - took over 2 hours; noisy room - could hear music & yelling from the bar most of the night so I couldn't sleep; dryers right outside our door drying the rug. Our room was close to the elevator and noisy guests. Not impressed at all.
Per their response, I can't afford to go back. If I did, I'd probably arrive at the same time as the other guests since apparently all airlines arrive about the same time. If I could return, I'd try somewhere else. I wouldn't want to spend another miserable sleepless night crying. In all my 50 years, I've stayed in some awful hotels, but none of my prior stays made my worst ever list.
Perhaps this hotel should consider lots of self check in kiosks?? Every response says to give them another try. Are you kidding? It's like they don't really care enough about what you write as long as you're willing to visit again. Will look elsewhere if I'm lucky enough to return. They really don't do any follow up to make you feel better about this place.

WOW! Stayed at the Hilton Vacation Club, I booked a ocean view room and I got a view of the hotel across the street. If I went out to the balcony and leaned over I could just see the ocean. When asked to be moved we were told they don't have any ocean view rooms that all the rooms you have to go out and look off the balcony. I am a long time Hilton customer and am so disappointed.

Talk about beautiful!! We were amazed by the beach, but when we walked into our room we all said Woah all at the same time. It was so large, it was like a studio apartment. The balcony looked onto a beautiful view and I just can't say enough about how great our stay was with the hilton. I told all my family and friends to stay here. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff who show the true Hawaii spirit of "Aloha".

I stayed here 9 nights in the Rainbow tower and had a great time. There were a few things I wish could be improved but overall it's a very nice place and great location. First off, don't do the breakfast buffet bundle with the room. The "Rainbow Lunai" breakfast buffet is mediocre at best. That was my first mistake I made.
The typical nickel & dime charges with the $35/day resort fee. I get it, I knew about it going in, and every hotel around there does it, along with almost every hotel in Las Vegas as well when I stayed there. But $40/ day to park on top of that resort fee is ridiculous.
I was told 22 restaurants are on site in the Village, along with plenty of shops and 2 ABC stores which are convenient when you want any kind of supplies, snacks for excursions or souvenirs to bring home (don't buy the Made in China ones just because it says Hawaii on it).
The Friday night fireworks show is about all you'll get for free, but you have to beat the crowd there. This hotel/village does have the prime location in Waikiki beach along with a good view of Diamondhead, so I'll give them that.
Don't get sucked into the timeshare deal, it's not as great as they make it out to be. Just google it and research it for yourself. It's fine to go to the sales pitch thing to get something (we got $150 off an excursion just for going for a 90 minute presentation). They want to convince you it's cheaper when in reality you're better off just booking a room there when needed. Hilton manages how much points it costs to come there so the odds are in their favor, just like a casino.
If I come back to Oahu island, I'll check air bnb in advance to see what's available in each area to possibly avoid the tourist crowd, resort fees, parking fees, etc. But I would come back to this hotel/village as well if the price was right.

This is Hawaii, so it has that going for it. The room is decent, with a small fridge, but a kitchenette option would be nice. The beach is good, but it isn't great for snorkeling or even playing in the waves, as the water is pretty calm. There is a reef several hundred meters out that protects the beach from any "fun" surf. Food is very pricey in this area. Breakfast buffet is $35 for adults, $17 for kids. Other places in Hawaii cost more, but you get more. This place is nice enough for the rates they charge.

Hilton? I guess you pay for the name and the looks of it on the outside...here if you ask the staf and the menager the answere is "NO" not let me see what can i do...and then here comes the "im sorry" to rescue they got lots of that...and if you need something the answere is go buy from ABC :))sincerly maybe if you pay 500$-to max on a room they treat you diferent but if you whant a room get something with less at list you dont get upset :))

enjoyed our stay, we had some problems with our room but the hotel more then made up and fixed our issues. lots of pools, the beach is not nearly as busy as Waikiki (only a few min walk up the beach from us too) great nightlife, shows, the shops are more high end so unless you love Louis Vuitton (on every corner) then dont plan to do your shopping in the tourist areas. for Canadians the food is very pricey so plan your average breaky from 20 to 40 u.s and lunch about the same, dinners min 30 pp and buffets are costly. stay away from denny's and IHOP as youd think they would be a affordable but they just arent worth saving 3 bucks pp

When we arrived around 3:20pm to check-in, we waited for nearly an hour in line. We went close to the start of check-in to make sure we would get a good suite. However, the room requests for my reservation (for my wedding weekend) were ignored. I even called several months beforehand for additional notes to be added to our reservation. When repeating my requests in person during check-in, they were dismissive and lied to us saying that they couldn't tell whether a room has double beds or a king. The hotel was a bit dated and our junior suite was missing 2 dining chairs. Some of the wallpaper was warped, there were cracks in the walls, and plenty of calcium buildup in the bathtub. The views from the higher floors are nice and great if you have a view during the Friday night fireworks. Their junior suite and one bedroom suites are spacious and are enough space for a family of 4-5. A manager did partially comp us for our problems in Hilton credit and genuinely apologized, but all in all, we are not super impressed with the overall experience. Their late night/early morning staff is a lot more friendly, so I'd avoid busy hours if you want a proper aloha.

Travelled with 4 families, none of us put in same building or floor even though requested. Pools have odd hours. One pool with slide closes early. Would've liked to take my kids there after dinner. Bars close early. Service extremely slow, and does not meet expectations for Hilton or resort. Hidden resort fee. Rooms are small and outdated. Look elsewhere. Especially with groups or kids.

On our honeymoon..... We have had maint. To our room 4 times. The motor in the blower is making a rattle noise. Likely the motor is going bad.
No options to move. Honestly guest services couldn t care less. Basically said too bad.
Front desk Did offer a free breakfast or a $100 room credit which is honestly just a huge insult. When you pay nearly 1000 a night for a room with rattling noises a free breakfast is really probably the worst thing you can do at the point.
I absolutely can t stand Marriott brand and wanted to try Hilton. Just as bad. Room 2201 for reference. If they offer it to you just say no. Find a different hotel.

Great service. I gave 4star because it took us forever to get available room. The hotel should anticipate that most guests are travelers. We came from Japan and landed at 6:40am at the airport. Our room will not be available until 3pm. We are exhausted and tired but they do not even have a lounge for us to at least rest. We ended up sleeping near the pool and noticed that some guests were in the same situation like us. I hope the management can do something about this matter. The staffs are amazing and very welcoming. So I cannot complain much.

It is a decent hotel but is starting to show its age. Price was definitely high but was during Christmas. Overall a decent stay with lots of pools and on the beach. We had 1 elevator out of 3 that worked most the time and caused lots of waiting. On upside, good live music, fun things to do and beautiful views. They do have a kids day camp if you need some adult time.
