5 star Hotel w/ @ 1 star gym. Every other aspect was enjoyable and top notch. It is within walking distance of major shopping centers and other tourists attractions, has top notch shops and restaurants on site, and has several events to keep you entertained. The gym is small with sparse equipment. Luckily I brought my own suspension fitness system to maintain tone and the weather supports morning runs for cardio. If they upgraded from a single adjustable bench and 4 treadmills for hundreds of guests I would consider upgrading the rating.

The Hilton has a great atmosphere. The statutes and gardening really get you pumped up about Hawaiian culture. Amazing food and scenery can be found in and around their locations. Will go again!

The room smelled like an old motel and kind of resembled one. Renovations are long over due... Staff was poorly trained and the worst part about the hotel was the insanely overpriced breakfast buffet downstairs at Rainbow Lanai. The only pleasant thing about this place was its proximity to the beach.

I stayed at the the Ali'i for 5 days and had questions as to what to do and where to go for certain things. The front desk help Christine was amazing and answered all my questions. Great help and the stay was great to.

Very nice hotel. We stayed for 3 nights before flying to Maui. We didn't rent a car because we were only here for a few days, so this resort was ideal because it has everything you need right on the property.
We visited Pearl Harbor which was the reason we came to Honolulu.
The hotel has very nice pools and the ocean and beach views are absolutely gorgeous.
Only issues were most of the stores/shops were very expensive, not alot of options if looking for something inexpensive to eat on the property. Also, very crowded at times and seemed to be battling crowds of people just to wander around and enjoy the wonderful weather.
All in all, its a very nice place to stay.

Only stayed overnight for a few hours due to Delta flight delay. Huge room with two bathrooms and tremendous amount of shopping available. Many restaurants that were not open when I got there. Would like to explore this property much further.

Only downside is how large it is. Be sure to use digital check-in in order to avoid the large lines.

Very disappointing, I expected much more from this Hilton resort. Service was terrible, from the jump- long lines to check in -Rooms were dirty, mold in bathroom, bathroom door is a sliding door that doesn t close completely so not great privacy. Sand in carpet throughout the hotel never seen housekeeping vacuum one time. The beach towels they give you look like recycled towels from the 80 s and wouldn t cover a small child , more less a lounge chair, which were the most uncomfortable I have ever been in. The room was constantly hot, there was a thermostat in the room but it had preset temperature so it stayed between 70-72 all day & night. Paper thin walls & tons of kids screaming day & night- running up & down the halls. Beds are very uncomfortable. I really expected a lot more for the amount of money we paid to stay here. We had a ocean view balcony in the rainbow tower- prime price, nice view but way too many negatives.
We were on vacation when hurricane Lane came in so like many others our vacation plans got changed due to weather. We asked about extending our stay- just because we were exhausted from being stranded on a cruise ship for a week and although the hotel wasn t even close to what we expected we didn t want to change hotels in 3 days. We were told we could extend our stay but would still have to change rooms & the prices for new room without a view would be much more expensive than the one we were currently in. Seriously I would never stay here again and recommend you don t either!!!!
We also stayed at the Marriott Waikiki much less expensive, very clean, great staff and service, still had ocean view balcony but much better experience. The beach is just across the street & a lot more to do in that area in walking distance, and only about 10 minuets from the Hilton. My advice GO WITH THE MARRIOTT , save yourself $$$ and a headache

We had a 2 bedroom room with our 18 month year old and 4 year old. It was large compared with Nz/Europe and had plenty of options for the portacot location. The beds were both comfy and the kitchen facilities were good (stove, oven, microwave) overall an excellent choice if a little dated.

No matter how often I brought my luggage to the room too late, lacked amenities in the room, and even when I called the front desk, no one came out! Is cleaning really Hilton? It was surprisingly omission. The coffee of the previous customer remained in the coffee maker.
You don't have a toothbrush, so you need to bring one.
Despite the plan to use Rakuten's meal coupon, I told the Japanese concierge that the meal price was added to the accounting price, but I was told to negotiate in English at the front desk. After all, I managed to do it in poor English, but what are the Japanese staff for? ?

A very nice resort. The best beach on Waikiki by far. The beach is groomed and cleaned daily. Also it is wider and larger than say the beach in front of the Sheraton or Royal Hawaiin. Lots of room to spread out and not be walking on top of other people. The only negative would be that the food prices in the restaurants are little pricey. Valet parking is also up there at $50 a day or $43 if you self park. The pictures are views from my room.

Wonderful family friendly resort! Fabulous amenities from water slides, a private lagoon and tons of awesome restaurants and shops, bars with live music and entertainment nightly, convenient stores and coffee shops. All right there. We were upgraded to the penthouse and had the most beautiful ocean views. But to be honest... every room in our tower had a beautiful view. Grounds were very well kept. Friendly staff. Fireworks over the bay on Friday nights. Checking in was a bit daunting, but once finished we had a blast.

They offer a lot of activities with Incredible views. Steps away from Waikiki Beach. Just prepared be prepared to spend money lots and lots of money. Being that you are on an island nothing is cheap. There are multiple restaurants to eat at. From low and dining all the way up to high-end dining. The Hilton covers everyone's tastes. There is something for everyone there though from shopping to historical tours everyone will find something they want to do.

By far one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I had to wait in line to check in for nearly a hour after a 11 hour flight. The lady at the front desk was very rude. I Wouldn t recommend this hotel to anyone. There s plenty of other hotels in the area. I would suggest going with a different option.

The Hilton is a huge complex , with multiple towers ,a variety of restaurants , even a US Post office and Starbucks on the property. With a salt water lagoon and the largest stretch of beach on Waikiki . Stayed in famous landmark "Rainbow" tower upfront right on the ocean. The rooms in this tower were a little dated , but were clean and in good condition and had great views of the ocean and marina/city of Honolulu.

We stayed for 7 days. Lots of fun for our 2 boys, 4 and 7. The pools were a good size for them. The lagoon worked well and was safer than going into the ocean. Lots of things going on in the resort. Food was pricey but that's to be expected. Although service at restaurants are good. The speed in which food is prepared seem very slow. So far very satisfied.

Never enough chairs at the pool because everyone deserves them for their whole family. Even asked a family member to use a chair, and they said I could use it. 5 minutes later the dad is throwing a fit because I m using the chair and went off on me. The gym is like a mile away from the two beach side towers. The beach is always packed, and the chairs cost 18$ and the umbrellas cost 34$. It really just made the trip more frustrating when it is so crowded every place you go. I have 6 people in my family and I don t need 8 chairs to go to the pool. So frustrating, never coming to this hotel again.

1. The Staff: The staff are very nice and helpful whenever needed.
2. Cleanliness: Its a very clean hotel
3. Prices: hidden charges at the check in desk. Shop and food shop prices are reasonable.
4. Car Parking: there is car valeting
6. Others: Its a stunning hotel. So many shops and restaurants. Its right on the beach.
7. Complaints: There was hidden charges when i was checking in so that was outrageous. A bit expensive for renting water equipment too.

The room was spacious and we'll appointed, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and the partial Ocean view was well worth the price of upgrade. The grounds were beautiful and it is right on the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly. Only down side is that it is a fair walk (about 20 minutes) from the main drag where all the best shops and restaurants are. All in all a great resort at a decent price.

Great service and amenities! $35 daily resort fee is too much. While yes you could potentially use all of the benefits it is not likely. Their classes are set up for the middle of the day or early in the day when you want to be out and about exploring. There are many great restaurants nearby and everything is within walking distance. Some of the towers need renovations and updating. You have to watch pricing it can be overpriced don't pay more than $250 a night I would not recommend more than that when you include the resort fees. The view is gorgeous of the Waikiki Beach and sunsets and you're within walking distance of multiple restaurants shopping areas and all of the Waikiki attractions.

The rooms were ok. I expected better, our parial ocean view was sqeezing in-between the TV and the wall to look out the window behind the TV to.see the ocean or leaning dangerously over out patio to look around the wall. Not to mention hearing our neighbor flush their toilet was kind of unpleasant.
The amount of pools and hotubs you have access to is great though, finding a hottub that isn't overrun by children playing is tough.
The food and drinks are overpriced and not great. We found better drinks and food for a reasonable price offsite. Do yourself a favor, venture out across the street.

What a great family resort! The beach was never very crowded, and they have great perks for Hilton diamond members. Their rooms have such a great ocean view, they have a huge sliding glass door to your private balcony.
