We recently stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village for a week on our way home from the US mainland. Overall I was unimpressed with the resort as a whole. We were in the tapa tower on the 34th floor. Whilst I was aware from various sources that the resort was under renovation, what the website and various sources do not disclose is that it is heavy construction noise. We had a balcony but were unable to use it during daylight hours due to the heavy construction noise that continued all day long. We tried to have a drink at the Tapa bar twice but the constant banging and noise from the construction means that conversation is virtually impossible. In addition to this we also heard the alarm from the lift ringing three times over the course of the week signalling that someone was stuck, indicating some type of problem there. There is minimal bus parking due to the construction meaning getting a tour bus in and out of the resort is a nightmare, and taxi fares are higher than normal due to the time taken to just get in or out of the resort. The resort itself appears to give preference to tourists of Asian descent, several shops within the resort only display pricing in Japanese and several times we saw these tourists given preferential seating in restaurants. We also found many of these tourists to be rude, barging into elevators without waiting for those in them to exit or pushing into queues etc. Overall the resort seems unable to cope with the volume of rooms it has, so how it is going to cope with an additional two towers remains a mystery. On the plus side the beachfront location allows for instant access to the beach, though if you want to hire beach or water equipment do yourself a favour and walk down the beach a little bit, you'll save a fortune. Overall considering the price of a room for a week I expected a lot more. I expected to be able to enjoy the view I paid for noise free and I expected to be able to enjoy the resort facilities without being bombarded with noise. Next time I will stay a little further down the beach, well and truly away from this resort.

We didn't actually stay at this resort so can't comment on the resort itself. But... This is an iconic location in Hawaii, that hotel is shown in almost every episode of Hawaii Five-0 and Magnum PI. Was a great spot to see and a great location for photos

Pretty views, but the Diamond building is quite old. Stayed on the 17th floor (top) and the air conditioning unit struggled. I took a star because of the Inncom thermostat. The usual override works, however.

But nice views.

This is my favorite resort to stay in Waikiki. I understand why they call it Hilton Hawaiian Village because it feels like a village with all of the shops and restaurants within the resort.

With 5 towers at the resort, there are a lot of people that stay at this resort. It can get very crowded at times especially when trying to use the pools.

Every Friday night, the resort puts on a fireworks show for the guests. It is a great show. This is something you should experience while staying at the resort.

Everyday at dusk, they have a torch lighting ceremony where a guy dressed in ancient Hawaiian attire runs around the resort lighting up the numerous tiki torches throughout the resort.

The only downside staying at this resort, are the resort fees. They charge $20/day for resort fees and $35/day for parking.

Have visited this hotel several times and always have a fantastic experience. The service is top notch. The views are breathtaking, assuming you can get into a beach front view room. Best of all it's within walking distance too all the great Waikiki restaurants.

We loved staying here. We stayed in a 2 bedroom that had a full kitchen and washing machine! Was great for our 10 day trip with our 1 yr old. Staff were friendly and cleaning staff always did an excellent job! Place was always spotless. Would definitely stay here again!

Do not plan on watching there FREE DVDS. First the rental card did not work. When I finally did get a DVD and went to watch it, the instructions were difficult and never was able to watch any DVDS. 32 dollars a day resort fee for what. Not worth it. There were a few minor things that made us decide next time we would stay at a different resort.

Great food in the excellent Coral Ballroom for Kuakini's 2018 Trees and Treasures. Plentiful parking as well. -1 star for internet problems ruining the charity auction though. Hopefully will be rectified for next year's event.

We have stayed at the Hawaii village many times. This is our first time in the ali'i tower. Amazing views from the ocean front rooms and awesome amenities throughout the whole complex. One of our favorite vacation spots.

Their beach is beautiful. The lagoon was ok, but looked nicer in the photos. The sand in the lagoon feels like grit over hard rock.

The pools were all great and the shopping and restaurant selection on the hotel was very convenient, even though expensive.

We mostly spent our time between the beach, the pools, and the room. Too easy. Short walk into town for more variety of places to eat too.

My grandkids love coming here because of their pool and lagoon. You can switch to the beach if you get tired of the pool. Very relaxing place and truly represent the beauty of Hawaii looking over diamond head while having your favorite drink on the beach.

Been there twice. Once business and once personal. Great place. The negative is it could be Chicago with palm trees. It is in Hawaii but is a big city resort unrelated to most of Hawaii. It is nice if you want a resort of that type. My real preferred place is away from hustle. If in town for convention it is super. Rooms and service are good. Lots of good food at varied places. I know plenty go there for family vacation but they get warm weather and exciting places to go but not really Hawaiian.

Great hotel complex. Pricey, but you never have to leave the hotel grounds for food or basic necessities. They offer a luau onsite, and good views of weekly fireworks. I had friends stay here on vacation and they were quite happy with the choice.

Little city by the beach, with everything from shops, restaurants, entertainment, bars, theater, pools, etc.
With more than 3000 rooms it's difficult to maintain 5 star quality, but they do a pretty good job at it.

Im sure its a really enjoyable experience, but when we visited their systems were down. We stood in line for over 3 hours to check in..standing in line with luggage and kids in super hot weather..not fun.

Perfect for ages 20-40, plus/minus kids, with lots of shops, activities, restaurants, great rooms, pools, beautiful beach, local luau, etc. For my wife and I aged 31, a great place to be for those who can't sit on the beach for more than a couple hours and need stuff to do. Also good location for traveling all around the island!! Ps. Rent a car and be aware of $45 a day for parking, and another $45 a day for resort fee...

This was really a great place to spend our first Hawaiian vacation at. Everyone was really friendly, courteous, an responsive to any of our needs. From the front desk, house keepers, and valet, everyone made it a pleasant stay. The facilities were clean and orderly. The lagoon was great and we enjoyed hanging out there. It was way better than the pool. The pool was fine, but more for the young kids than the teens. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The Hilton Hawaiian Village has a lot to offer guests on site - basically you can find anything you want right here. The beach area and walking paths are particularly nice. All of the staff we have encountered have been exceedingly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are well kept, but the BEIGE EVERYTHING makes you feel blah. Hawaii is the most beautiful place on earth, but being in this room makes you forget that. Normally Hilton hotels would score a five out of five for me but I'm really disappointed by the room itself, I would rate it at a 2 or 3 in terms of comfort and decor. The atmosphere created by the wonderful staff here is really the only reason the hotel scores so highly for me.
