I had indicated in advance that the package could be delivered to the neighbors. After inquiring, it was not even offered here, even though they were at home. I have to call paid phone numbers to be snubbed then that I "should have been home" and now I can pick up the package myself ... If you have the option: always choose PostNL or DHL instead of these prutsers.

Very bad experience with GLS! Package was not delivered and GLS reported that it had been delivered to the neighbors and that a not-at-home note had been delivered to the mailbox. Nothing of that was true. The neighbors did not have the package and there was never a not-home note in my mailbox. After calling after it, customer service said I could pick up the package at the depot in Amsterdam. Nice drive from Haarlem to Amsterdam ... Anyway done since it was a Christmas gift. When it arrived at the depot, everything seemed closed and no answer was given at the gate or by telephone. I am still calling GLS where my package has gone. Christmas is already over ...
GLS coach with two shabby drivers comes to me around the corner in a narrow street in Amsterdam, where I already bike. Then scold me for bitch and yell that I have to keep my mouth when I ask why he does not stop. Scandalous!
The level of incompetence from GLS in unbelievable. Go and pick up whatever you want delivered yourself. It'll be easier, faster and cheaper that getting these usless, uncaring idiots to do it.

There is obviously some connection between GLS and the circus, they all seems to be clowns. I ordered some car parts from the Czech Republic. The package arrived in France then sat in the GLS depot. I had to drive 160kms to be told it was not there. I then had to drive another 50kms to pick up my package.... they had forgotten to tell me where it was. All I received was a mumbled phone message afterwards. I wrote to the CEO of GLS in Amsterdam - not a word in reply. Whatever you do, don't use GLS.

TIP! Feel for just 1 euro a azijnpisser get to the line or word simply outrageous to be standing? Call the GLS Customer Service! You just smell the vinegar down the line, feel the employee's oversimplified frustrations and are guaranteed to praise yourself for not being one afterwards. Really hopeless when it comes to delivery. Package hasnt been delivered to me in 2 weeks. How on earth can they not find an address in Netherlands. I would never recommend GLS to anyone.

Worthless delivery service in Amsterdam! My package would be delivered on Thursday, if I then call at the end of the day or my package is coming, I get to hear that the driver has not been able to finish his route. The next day, this driver was unable to complete his route again. I make a new appointment with the customer service after the weekend, and unfortunately no package. As an answer .. he has not been able to finish his route .. If I ask why the next day the route does not start where the driver has finished they are told that they do not know if there is something serious with the driver happens that it is that day is not delivered .. What a weird excuse GLS! Really the last time I have something delivered through you .. and you already have such fantastic reviews!

They broke my package , didn't call or text me to let me know, and since it was broken they couldn't deliver it anymore, so I had to go to the warehouse in person and retrieve the pieces. I would give 0 stars if I could.
Weren't able to deliver my package due to 'further address information needed', which simply was not true. Checked the invoice, all the address information was there. Never (literally never!) had any problems with deliveries at my apartment before. And no customer support during weekends to help me work it out... Very disappointed.
What a HORRIBLE company, I advise if you have the choice to please NOT use them. I ordered something on Amazon.de via them.
They first tell me that they stopped by twice, they never left a note in my mail. After that I called on my own, they said it has been delivered at my neighbour's house, never arrived there. Then I call again and ask them to deliver it at a parcelshop, they say ok, 3 days later, again nothing, I call again and now it has been send back to the sender.
Amazon.de is far away from being a good webshop by working together with this company.
Absurd! No words for the lack of respect, the unprofessional employees and poor communication. According to the track and trace number, the package was delivered and signed by me while that was not true. Then they try to contact the driver, after he doesn't answer, they let me know that they can't do anything for me and I have to contact the sender. I ask the lady on the phone what actions they can perform on behalf of the sender that they do not want or are not allowed to do on behalf of the recipient. She says she can't start an investigation on my behalf and she thinks it's a shame that I don't understand their method.

GLS said I signed the package on reception but I never received it. I tried to call them but their number is blocked. I sent a complaint through their website, they said they would send me a confirmation by email but I did not receive it.
How can a company based on lies and fraud still be active? I will file a complaint to the sender and ask them to stop any service they have with you. This is not serious.
Wasn't home when package was delivered, but no note left to say they came. Had to find out 5 days later by looking at my mails that the package has simply been sitting in a warehouse until i request for them to attempt another delivery. So i was trying to be smart and have it delivered to a GLS pakketshop close to my home. Went there today only to find out the shop (a dry cleaner) closed earlier because of holidays. Altogether it's been 2 weeks since i placed my order. GLS, you suck. Big time.
What a terrible company you are. 1 star is too much. How can it be that your parcel deliverer does not even want to deliver to the door and puts the parcels on the letterbox. This has already happened 4 times and I have never found 1 package again. Complaint form completed several times but never received a response.
Very bad non-customer oriented experience. -Not home message on the bus, but according to the site the package appears to have been delivered 'somewhere'. -Inquiry from customer service shows that the delivery person has made a mistake, but GLS indicates that, despite knowing that a mistake has been made, it is waiting for the customer to contact customer service himself. One can say, "After all, not every customer is treated personally, they are far too busy for that." - The contact form gives an error message, so the only contact option is a paid 0900 number (1, - per call), which the customer must then call to correct the GLS error. -I can file a complaint about this, but according to the employee, this must be done via the ...... contact form (which does not work). -At one point, the service employee even became rude and agitated that I didn't feel helped.
All in all, a very bad experience in which the customer is absolutely not paramount.
GLS, the worst logistic company ever, the worst customer service ever. They are arrogant, lazy, ridiculous, false, cannot even do what's their core business. After reading all the horrible reviews they have, I'm not surprised of their behavior anymore. I hope they fail miserably.
Poor accessibility - long waiting time, high telephone costs; worthless tracktrace information. After you read that your post is with the GLS, you get no further information and you do not know anything at all. Did they deliver it to a depo, what happened to it?
Package will be returned without pardon. This is not indicated on the "not at home message". Make more effort for an episode. Either to the neighbors or a second attempt or to clarify the consequences of not temporarily providing an alternative. Do not order from a webshop with GLS as the sender.
Bad communication, they charge an extra euro for inquiries about where your package is now by telephone, so a bad delivery from GLS costs you extra money too!
Have ordered a mattress from Emma through Beter Bed. This had to be delivered from Germany and went via GLS.
I have read a lot of negative reviews, so I already had numerous doom scenarios through my mind.
However, I am pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the deliverer and the speed with which the mattress is delivered. On day 1 he arrived in Utrecht from Germany. Day 2 from Utrecht to Amsterdam. Day 3 delivered neatly to the door.
The delivery person was also very friendly, despite the fact that he had to get a package of 33 kilos to the 8th floor. Even helped with the lifting of the package over the threshold of my front door.
In short, top service! The only point of improvement is the track & trace information. A day indication when you can expect your package helps enormously, especially with a size package of this size.

Completely useless. They lost my suitcase I sent to Spain and would not take responsibility for it. They are rude and take very long to answer emails, wouldn't pick up the phone. Worst custumer service ever, never hire them
Do not use this company. Do not order from companies that use them for shipping. We ordered something with next day shipping. That was a week and a half ago and it's still not here. Someone at GLS scratched the postcode off of our shipment, changed it to a postcode in another city with the same street name and number, and then delivered it to someone else. They forged the signature on the proof of receipt claiming that my wife signed it. Luckily the person they delivered it to managed to find us to get in touch, which let us finally get a GLS to do something to fix the problem. They picked it up and are supposedly redelivering it to us, but we have been promised that it will be delivered in the morning 3 times now and still nothing. Shame on you GLS.
Is waiting inside the announced time slot at home. Just looked at track and trace just before the expiry of the time slot, is it just that the package has been delivered and signed - by myself ...? A logistics company should understand that if you take a package to send that you must have a receipt address that is complete? No do not belong to GLS. They claimed to have delivered my package but I was home and there was no parcel slip left. When I called to see if they can attempt a second delivery or leave at a local parcel shop they said 'they don't work on those terms'. I stayed home from work to receive the parcel and am frustrated they weren't able to find a solution to help get the package to me in a timely manner. With this type of service they should give a more accurate delivery time or companies should stop using GLS. I'll be sure I contact the company to let them know how poor of service their shipping partner provides.
The courier left the package in some random place and for me its gone. GLS doesn't care and won't even respond for emails. Ridiculous company. Uncompetent.
Have had parcels delivered to me by this company for business purposes several times. I don't understand the negative reviews. Did not have any problems myself.
I have been waiting for an order from valencia to portugal for 11 days. They do not know the suitcases, in Spain they do not know if they came to portugal, in portugal nobody answers the phone and I'm without suitcases. Besides, if I do not call anyone, it gives me some satisfaction. This is a very good service that this company offers, and it is generally seen, not just in one country.
This company is 0.0 flexible. If you are not home the first time you offer a package (which can of course happen) you will receive a message not at home. You can then choose which day they can offer the package again. However, on the chosen day you have to sit at the front door all day because taking a shower or walking to school at 3 p.m. can have consequences. Namely the next not home message and then you can pick up the package in a depot that is 30 km from your address. The check that the package may also be delivered to neighbors is not taken into account, because in my case they were just at home. When I approached the company by telephone to indicate this, I got the most customer-unfriendly employee ever on the line. This lady obviously thought it was very strange that I was not at home, and the neighbors' story immediately called that they should not discuss this with me. So I was quickly done with this.
Even one star is too much!!! I never had a bed experince like with GLS. My pakket was losted and they delivered to someone else. It was needed to weeks to get an answer from GLS. I was calling every day and they were lying at me every day. After two weeks I got my pakket back, actually not even half of the things that were in it. Originally the things were in a big black sweetcase of a good brand, I got back a cartoon box with some dirty clothes in it. The rest was disappeard with the sweetcase!!! Is it normal?! And the most absurd thing is that no one seems to have an idea how it happened. Is clear that my staff was stolen, but I can t do eneything about it. For sure I ll never use GLS again and I absolutely DON T raccomand it!!!! It s a shame!!!!
Very poor in delivery of parcel service. Driver delivers packages to people who do not even live in the street. Shoes from Austria for my daughter's wedding would now be missing in half way. Double neighborhood. Also issued where may Joost know his own barn ...

What a brackish parcel service. Slow, do not respond to questions via contact form and the information via T & T is not accurate. Previous shipment lasted 2 weeks (while package after day 1 was owned by GLS and after day 2 in NL had arrived!). Every day a new report 'the parcel has reached the parcel center'. Bad service!
never use Gls! never order from a shop with Gls delivery if u would like to receive your package! no service! no flexibility! no delivery! although if your life is perfectly happy and you need a small drive - Go ahead!
2 times their delivery left our packages unattended inside the building, but not on our hands. First time because of that someone ripped the package open to see if there was something good to be stolen.. I contacted their customer service to open a complain but no answer in 15 days. Now when I buy something I'll always ask if they use this company's service, if so, I'll cancel the purchase.
What a great service you guys have ... First I get a message that you had been at the door and although I have been home for a week, according to the delivery person, I was not there. Then the best man forgets to put a card in the door so that I know something. Had a telephone contact in which it was promised that I would receive a confirmation email and if it was delivered to the GLS pick-up address I would receive a text message ...
