I had a good experience with the sales person for my new AC, and the installers were prompt and courteous. However, they turned off my gas and did not turn it back on. The next morning when I realized that my hot water heater, stove, dryer did not work I called their customer service line. The young man was rude to me - insisting that I was the one who disconnected the gas, the technician would have never turned it off, and it was my problem. He refused to send a technician out until the next Monday and told me that they couldn't be responsible. I had to find someone on my own to reconnect my gas and never received a phone call to see if I resolved the problem or to give an apology for the mistake made by the technician.

I accept the fact that the technician made a mistake and forgot to turn the gas back on - but the way I was treated when I called to report it is really unacceptable. When I just spent almost $6,000.00 I expect better customer service. My feelings about Genz-Ryan were colored and I am not sure I would recommend them to others.
