They were supposed to be taking my money out of my bank account for my payment and they wasnt they sent no notification telling me i owed them i didnt realize they wasnt taking it and now my damn car is impounded. They tried to say i didnt pay the deposit but my bank said i did i have proof that there scammers they sent the letter saying i didnt pay the deposit but i have proof from my bank that it was paid so yea THIS PLACE IS A SCAM DONT USE THEM

Customer service is unbelievable. I have been trying to add drivers to my policy for two days now. Every time I call, I have been placed on eternal hold. I don't know who my agent is, but I'm quite sure he's getting part of my payment in the form of a commission.

Worst experience & customer service ever! Only with negative stars were available to accurately describe this company. Pray you don't get into an accident with someone who has Gainsco and certainly don't sign up with them.

You wonder why insurance companies have bad reputations?
This company is a perfect example of how bad it can get. Typical insurance company behavior - terrible customer service, poor communication, no returned calls, combative staff & agents (agents yelled at my wife on the phone when questioning charges).

Prepare yourself for a terrible, slow & painful experience. Especially beware of Julia in the Dallas office. She could not have been more unprofessional or difficult to work with. Think twice and then run the other way when you hear the name Gainsco. You'll regret any dealings with them.

Worst comoany i have EVER dealth with. They over charged me my first month on autopay almost double of what i was quoted for. Then a month later said my policy was getting canceled. Then i call to figure what was going on and they said they had fixed it. Now i open my mail and find a letter saying my insurance had lapsed and i have to pay a fine. This is ridiculous.

This morning I got ahold of Gabriel he was great. He told me that my adjuster would call me in 10 minutes that was at 9 this morning. Someone please call me! I need my truck fixed.

would give a zero but unable to. 1. they had my bank info wrong so my first payment did not.come out causing lapse in insurance costing me extra money. they never let me know i was be9mg cancelled. 2. i told them i had bumper damage from a car hitting me in parking lot and leaving they had pics and all they then in turned said i had to give up full coverage or pay to get it fixed sorry 1 its financed need full coverage 2 not paying 5 grand for a plastic bumper to be placed on and then they want me to pay them foe oct payment they screwed up on and when i was speaking to this lady about that that is how i found out they where gonna stop my insurance evem though they knew ahead of time of the.damage to my front end. so i called esurance and even though i am paying about 22 dollars more i am getting better coverage i will have road side service rental car if needed none of this with this horrible insurance company will never ever recommend this company. also when i called and asked if i could have mail sent to another address due to mail beimg stolen out of my box they said no bc the address was my moms in michigan and they can not mail out of state. what a bunch of bs. so if u have a choice do not use this company. and when i would try to call and talk to some one never get answer so it ended up costing me additional money with state of SC bc they would not answer the phone. and dont send email as they dont have that either. horrible customer service. wish i could get my money back right now for december so i could get started with esurance today.

Got hit by a drunk driver that they covered and not only did they violate their policy by making me pay for my own rental. They said they would reimburse me the full amount of my rental but that was October 2019 and here I am September 2020 and still no check. They won't return my calls or emails also.

Worst insurance ever! I have emailed them 2 weeks back to convert my liability to a comprehensive insurance but I've not received a single response. I tried calling them almost 2-3 times each day but they've always been busy. I'm probably going to switch my insurance. Please do not buy insurance from them.

This company is a third party company, so its not in there interest to take care of there client needs. When your test driving cars from carvana before you purchase, you need to have insurance on the vehicle. This poorly managed company makes you pay everytime you add and remove a car. And if you know anything about car shopping, you never it it right the first time because your shopping. They charged us everytime. Then when we decided to cancel this auto insurance, they told me the wife, who have made other changes on this account, that I can't cancel it because I am not the policy holder even though I am authorized on the policy to make changes. Then when I said well I would like to remove my automatic pay from MY CREDIT CARD, they said the same BS. Mind you the card thats on the account is in my name. This is called cheap auto insurance and trust you get what you pay for. Cheap service and bad policies. If i were you or anyone reading this, please no this company is not worth it in the end. It may be cheap but its that way because what you pay for from a professional company, you WILL NOT GET IT HERE. RUN RUN RUN.....

The agent I spoke to, Chris was very patient and he answered all my questions. When getting a quote from other online companies they just gave me a quote with no details to why my premium would be so high. Chris however explained my situation and I got a better understanding of why and how long I would have to pay what I have to pay. Plus he gave me several options and dates to pay. Thanks Chris!

HORRIBLE, my fiance owns a towing company here in ...

HORRIBLE, my fiance owns a towing company here in SC. One of his customers got rear-ended (totaling her truck) by one of Gainscos insured, on sept 11 2015..they have still yet to pay him his tow/storage bill, or pay her for her truck and its December 17... 98DAYS!!! She's had to get a lawyer because they were offering her what her truck was worth and telling her she would have to cover the towing/storage bill out of her money and told her to move it somewhere it wouldn't have storage. Which is ILLEGAL in the state of south Carolina. Towing is separate in every way. He had to take it to the department of insurance because they said "we are not responsible for the truck because is not our insured's vehicle"....umm excuse me yes you are because your insured was at fault for the accident. I witnessed this conversation over speaker phone. After my fiance filed a complaint with department of insurance, they called the next day which turned into a negotiation that was settled if payment would be received within 72 hours at most...here we are a week and a half later and still no payment. They are shady and unreliable!!! My fiance is about to go back to the department of insurance and take them for what they owe him including administrative fees, processing fees, attorneys fees, court costs and whatever else legally to push this plague of an insurance company and force them out of south Carolina. He's a member of the national recovery association, and national towing association with 23 years in the industry. To sum it up their messing with the wrong one, along with 10 other personal friend towing company owners that stretch all the way to Naples FL, that have had similar issues with this no good insurance company. Needless to say gainsco will soon be evicted out of South Carolina by the department of insurance!!! Stay tuned, will update!!

If I could give Zero stars I would.... Been with this company 7 months now. Got double charged on my renew date 1/2/2020. Have been trying to get them to refund the $127 they double charged me has been a nightmare. I have emailed Proof via bank statements to show that they charged me twice. I cant get anyone to respond to my emails or call me back. I havent gotten updates insurance cards and I need to reregistar my vehicle. I need that money back I work hard for it. This is crazy that no one will help me. When it was the companies mistake and they wont even provide my insurance cards!

Awesome customer service! The rep was so helpful and patient with all my questions. Getting signed up for the policy took just a few minutes and was active before I hung up the phone! The price was soooo much lower than any of the other car insurance companies I got quotes from. Highly recommend!!!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced...

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Negligent and incompetent at best. Each Agent would give a different and invalid answer to any issue. My premiums were raised in the middle of a pandemic due to their negligence and they refused to try to make right or even take responsibility for. They constantly stressed me out with the inaccurate information they would provide me. The only reason I stayed with them was because of their affordability. When that also became in question, I decided to switch to Geico. Geico is now saving me $20 for the exact same plan. I even recieved a discount for the current financial situation the pandemic has caused. I cancelled my policy 2 weeks after making my payment and Gainsco refuses to refund me the retroactive amount. In fact they are charging me an extra amount for cancelling. This company is GREEDY and HEARTLESS!!

The worst experience I've ever had with the insurance company.to understand my frustration I have to say my story.I bought a car on Saturday and I called insurance company to add it to my insurance because I need it for coverage first the agent doesn't work weekend's,so I called the company directly and they don't work on the weekends either!!!!!so I wasn't able to add my car to my policy so I wasn't even able to drive my brand-new car because the insurance company wasn't able to ensure it during the weekend.so I would like OK I don't mind I'll wait until Monday.today I called the agent mind you the agent lied to me because papers that I needed the Atlantic insurance company a third that sells insurance never sent NOTHING!!so I called the company directly once again and like one of your previous customers that I seen on the reviews I waited 25 minutes on hold!!!after waiting that long they told me I needed some decalaration that would take another 24 hours to be.process NEVER again I will get this insurance don't get it !!!!! I am Rating this as a 4 star at the moment due to just today becoming a Gainsco customer. But as of so far they are great. Johnny Garcia was the agent that spoke with, he was very professional and easy to discuss the policy with (all while my kids were houndi g me in the background) he let me know all the details of my policy and everytime I had to call back (b/c my life hectic) he would ask if he needed to recap what we had discussed previously. Prices are great also. This is the only company that I have found that could be our Geico policy price. Big thumbs up from us

My car was in a accident on Thursday 10/4 in the late afternoon so I call this company early Friday to report the claim.i was sent to the wrong adjuster at first then I had to wait on them to request for me to get another one which I waited and called back to be told I have adjuster Sergio which was not professional at all. He was trying to make assumptions when doing his investigation. Also advised me to pay out of my pocket for the car to be towed away from the towering yard to save fees.Today is monday 12 noon Pacific time and I have yet to hear from anyone. Not only I'm I without a vehicle but also I'm out of work because of it. I wouldn't recommend anyone who has experienced better and faster service with auto insurance to not consider this company. I'm serious thinking of hiring a attorney and contacting insurance commissioner if I don't hear from someone soon.

Excellent service! I spoke with Mr. Johnny Garcia and he kept it short, sweet, and simple. I have huge anxiety with speaking over the phone, especially with sensitive information. However it was made pretty easy with Gainsco. I was also expecting to come out with a large quote, considering that I m a young driver. It s crazy though, the prices are so affordable. I think I may actually stick with this insurance for a while. Two thumbs-up!

I have been a member of the Gainsco family, as a automotive policyholder, for over a year now. I recently contacted the company to transfer my existing auto coverage to another state. I wanted to take the time to congratulate and applaud this company for having an amazing customer service team. Each time I call the support line, I am connected quickly with an agent who is knowledgeable, polite, expeditious, and kind. The agents are based in the US and speak English (and I believe Spanish as well, if I were to guess). I understand this seems trite to mention but this fact really makes a difference especially when understanding slight nuances of the English language is imperative. Since most communications between customers and representatives are concerning legally binding policy agreements, it comforting to know you are not only heard but understood. The same is true when the representatives explain and answer policy questions, you understand and feel the communication is transparent. I appreciate this company for its service, affordability, and most importantly its customer service team who always goes above and beyond.

They told me they were the cheapest insurance. I told them my car wasn't even fixed yet and to hold off on taking money from my credit card. They pulled out 120 dollars and they had the wrong street name, so I never got a Bill! They answer right away, but never come back on the phone. I finally drove down there and she was out to lunch! Waited an hour and she told me my policy was cancelled! She said she would talk to her Boss and call me back the next day. She never called! I made a big mistake trusting this company! They are just a dishonest third party dealer for Gainsco Auto Insurance. I also can't get a hold of these people either! I was totally cheated and lost 120 dollars! I am going to seek Legal action on these scum bags! Do not use this company! They also ignored my messages to their Facebook page! Web of Trust gave them a very poor rating and have them down as a scam....

So I am trying to figure out something! I got this insurance on April 9th, which started on the 10th; but sold my car on April 16th. I called on April 17th and had the ins cancelled... Now I call on April 22nd and they tell me I am only getting $39 back! Now mind you I put down $196! That's a freakin rip off....Then I ask the lady "why am I only getting $39?".... she had no clue! She then come back and say we get 10% of the remaining balance! I say "what was the remaining balance?" she say hold and put me old hold FOREVER like I was going to hang up! Freakin rip offs.... I would not recommend this company to anyone. Then she come back and say why you only have it for a short period of time? NOT YOUR BUSINESS MA'AM! Just know I will not come back and get this insurance again.....PERIODT

Within fifteen minutes, I was insured at a fair price, automatic payments were initiated, electronic documents were in my possession, and the representative even had time to answer questions; though I had minimal because of how thorough she was. UPDATED: If you're looking for cheap insurance, go ahead with this company. But, remember, you get what you pay for! I have been with this company since January. I have had to call them EVERY MONTH for one issue or another. This month was the last straw. How do you charge a customer a late fee that was waived 2 months after the fact!? If you wanna have to call every month because of issues and extra charges, this is the company for you.
