Just an overall horrible experience... I ve been to multiple locations and none of them have been quality treatment... you hear nurses talking outside your door (to MD) I m sorry but I accidentally put the needle in too far ...?! Physicians violating your privacy... Missing a brain bleed and sending you home...?! Staff is not very pleasant (at least what I ve experienced)... I just wouldn t go here... I normally wouldn t post things like this - but for safety - I feel like I have to...
I went to Frodert in 2013 and I suffer from sickle cell anemia and I happen to get admitted I admit I didn't use my own name I used an alias because I didn't want my family to visit me but I did have my insurance and Id just in case anyhow it's not against the law to use an alias I know plenty Jane Does that get admitted so anyway I was arrested and taken to jail from the hospital spent three days in jail and faced felony charges and due to the nature of my illness I could have died when all they had to do was take my id and medical card and run it and just confront me about what I did they went to far I ended up in the hospital after that for 47 days with pneumonia and a bad crisis that lead to organ damage and now I'm permanently on oxygen and dialysis for kidney failure not only that they stated I never had SCD but later was tested by a specialist that confirmed my illness but come find out someone else my sister was also going to the same hospital using my name and messed me up she doesn't have SCD she has the trait but because she lied and I used the fake name I ended up in a bad situation I no longer live in the State of Wisconsin and now I am honest about everything I carry my medical records and only use one hospital and just tell people no visitors and mean it I was wrong to but that could have been tragic.
Miss diagnosed on several accession. No follow through.
Froedert has to be the best hospital out here in Wisconsin. My mother almost passed from a dog attack back in June of last year. When rushed to Wheaton Franciscan in Racine, they said they couldnt help her. She was loosing alot of blood and fast. Flight for life immediately came and flew her up to Milwaukee. They rushed her into surgery she was in and out after an amputation surgery and my mom made it. They have some of the nicest staff I've ever seen and they saved my mother's life. Thank you froedert and the doctors for everything y'all did for my mother.
My son had a surgery her 3 months ago not only was the care terrible. They performed the surgery on my lil 4 year old and caused implications. Just starting a lawsuit !
Worse hospital in Wisconsin. Its a mule farm. You will be in this hospital for days to see a doctor. Seriously DAYS. An you will leave disappointed. An their doctors are just working for a check. Avoid this hospital.
This place is growing daily. Good staff many different people.. Nice place to visit.
They saved my life!!! Moved fast in the ED got me to my room, the nurse was wonderful. It was shift time my new nurse notice my heart was increasing but my BP was declining. Moved me to ICU where they knew what to do and fast. I called Aurora where I was for over 20 years with my disease and for weeks I called daily sometimes more often and was told to deal with it. All I asked for was a ct scan, ultrasound, xray, or an MRI they would not do it. One more day Froderdt said I would not be here. Great GI dept. Surgical team, all in all the hospital is the place you want to be. They ALL listen.
it
My dear friend came here with an enlarged heart on January 2nd of this year and DIED because she had to wait 4 hours to be seen by a doctor. Let thank sink in ladies and gentlemen.
One of the worst hospitals when it comes to accommodate patients billing requests. They charge hospital charges which is ridiculous and I would think very unethical practice. Hospital charges are charged even if there was no service provided. The good part are the doctors. Very experienced and humble. They attend to patients questions and concerns very nicely.
I went to freodtert ER 1year ago and setup up a payment plan for my bill but my dog got sick needed surgery so I called the financial department to let them know I can only pay a certain amount for the next few months so I did. Two months later Freodtert Financial department called me and harassed me to pay what I owed or they will send my bill to collections. Froedtert hospital is nice when you walk in to the ER or clinics but when it's time for you to pay they are not so nice plus threatening you.
Jose Vargas Is a medical Tech there that was caring for my father David Grooms and he is such a great guy. He was so amazing with my dad he was so caring and a great guy to talk with. This company needs to give him a raise!! he was the best person we have ever had in any facility. He truly was a great person. Thank you Jose for giving us comfort in our time of need.
their CFO s kid is a really nice person so that means this hospital must be something.
My sister was in need to see a doctor for something major. My sister, mom, I have been sitting for over 4 hours while ppl after her when back before her. They keep telling us that we were next only for another hour to pass without her being seen. They clearly could see the pain she was in and her vitals were getting worse just by sitting there. We drove 30 mintues thinking this hospital would be better after her having to wait over 4 weeks to even make an appointment. Wisconsin hospitals suck and this one has been the worst hospital experience i have EVER had.
The staff were like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off, running around without a clue of what they are doing. Got told 3 different things and they weren t even busy. If you can t handle 4 patients in the waiting room then you shouldn t be working !! Will never go here again, I m pretty sure a child could do a better job!
I found the staff to be very attentive, timely and also caring professionals that provided care and services to my Step Father. I like to extend my Thanks to the Oncology team, Triage Nurse that was contacted one night that had given directions with medical care needs. The Emergency room Staff for their prompt service given and the Advanced Care Unit staff that provided the care/ services to him as well as addressed my mother's questions and gave her information related to his medical care/ condition
We regret our choice of care.
The amputation surgery and after care was great a week prior to this revisit for internal bleeding. I believe 11th floor N elevator.
The revisit turned out to be a nightmare and put health and life in danger. Care was in another section of the hospital. 9NT. Once admitted to the room it was obvious there were not good procedures in place.
Double medicating first night.
Unprofessional gossip in room among staff.
No call backs on Nurse button.
No hygiene care and filthy room.
Two week stay and only one shower, one very bad distructive 45 min foot soak, one sheet change and refusal to care for the amputated foot which took a drastic turn for the worse. Foot needed to be raised so they gave him an upside down dirty garbage can. Daily pleading for attention to cleanliness got us nowhere. (Urinal on top of dining tray table while eating. )Doctors were picking up scraps of paper littered by staff.
Doctor on floor was great and was begging for cross care on foot with no luck. Waited a day and half for discharge due to concerns and doc asking for vascular to evaluated deteriating condition of amputated foot. Eventually floor doctor came in on own time and with a Heartfelt sorry about the vascular no show ordered antibiotics in hope things would turn around. Now Dad is at a Fabulous re-Hab facility for two weeks as the neglected foot tries to get back to pre visit condition.
We regret our choice of care. If you can not be certain of the quality care and that you might get A care or you might get D care , it is not wise to come to Froederdt until they get things figured out.
Saved my life 2 times now. Best doctors and staff in the U.S.A
I just wanted to thank the anesthesiologists who cared for me during a procedure I had on Friday. Not only were they kind considerate and compassionate they were very professional. Even though their was some confusion when I arrived I appreciated the care I received. Froedtert hospital went out of their way to make a very uncomfortable procedure for me go smoothly.
I was referred (after much confusion and miscommunication between 3 different medical/regional offices) to Froedtert from the Veteran's Affairs Healthcare through CHOICE, and got an appointment with GI specialty 2 months from when i scheduled it.
Dr. Thangam Venkatesan was not receptive, was extremely unorganized, biased, and spewing rhetoric i've heard tenfold over from the VA, UW and Meriter health systems about various conditions (like Crohn's, CVS, and Angioedema-- all of which tests came back negative for with the VA and UW systems) surrounding my multisymptom digestive condition incurred during Army Service in 2005-2006.
No tests were done, no comprehensive overview of my medical file that was sent over at least a month before the appointment, and no inquest into longevity systemics/root cause diagnosis of the aforementioned condition.
They then went on to try and dictate prescribing me 11 different medications i've all been on before (i really, really hate rehashing it out to the doc when i filled out the questionnaire with the SAME questions on it 20 minutes before, AND talked them over with the Nurse-- who was awesome, who noted that info before the doc even came in), and Dr. Venkatesan was very uncooperative when it came to considering other testing and treatment options that are completely warranted, and frequently requested (like a test to my cells to see why i'm developing fluid around my Gall Bladder and have Intestinal Bleeding- none of which she requested or attempted to at all resolve or investigate.)
Also, the 2nd worst parking/navigation experience next to the Milwaukee VA medical center.
To go to a facility that isn't the VA, and still have the same quality of care and specialty staff is profound.
Very, very disappointed, also considering I know members of the Froedtert family.
They never answer your calls you leave message all day long and no return call back.
Froedtert is allegedly suppose to by one of the best but unfortunately they are actually the worst! Not only did all of the "care" there leave me in excruciating pain but my patient rights were violated left right and center! These doctors and nurses should be ashamed of themselves! As a future nurse I WILL NEVER WORK FOR FROEDTERT they are a disgrace! I was left in pain because my needs weren't being met, ortho only cared about one part of my injury and the other part was left! Now I'm left with lasting effects as well as trust issues with seeing doctors outside of my primary because Froedtert is a joke and they rob their patients of everything; dignity, honesty, their rights, information regarding their own care, and worst of all MONEY! My care was so terrible that in order to get properly treated I had to seek treatment elsewhere to get back to somewhat of a normal life after there poor "treatment" and "care" ended up ripping my life apart.
Im looking for a Dr. affiliated with CLEVELAND Clinic for FMD. Im rather concerned though with all the low rated reviews. I have only seen one Dr at Froedert for my jaw. Experience was good with my procedure. However, I especially dont like the fact that Drs aren t introducing themselves to patients before surgery and family after surgery. Professionalism from nurses too goes along way with patients. David answers each review with a standard comment. Think I might stay with current medical care after hearing negative responses. Thank you for also sharing those reviews on your site.
I am very shocked at the level of care that my aunt received recently. My aunt and her power of attorney clearly informed the hospital that she wants to be recesitated in case of an emergency so It was a shock to see a "Do Not Recesitate" order on my aunts paperwork today. My aunt was also discharged today with no discharge papers or instructions regarding her newly prescribed meds. I would like to speak to someone about this matter right way. There are a number of other things that went wrong today as well. I am very, very disappointed.
Update: STILL fighting with the billing office! Tried to set up a payment plan with the billing manager and she REFUSED it because it wasn t as much as she wanted it to be. They also have my daughters guarantor incorrect and refuse to accept ownership of their error. POOR FORM AND WORST BILLING PRACTICES EVER!!! I really hate the fact that I have to see my physicians through here!!!
If I could give zero stars I would!!! Stop the harassing calls from the billing office!!! I make monthly and bi-monthly payments to you people!!! That means the acct is current. It is ILLEGAL to harass people and turn them into collections when they are keeping their acct current by making monthly payments!!! Yet you guys do it every time!! If you keep it up I m reporting you to the State Insurance Commissioner!
I was at the ER a long time ago, after 6 hours in the waiting room and being rudely told my painful breathing (after falling down stairs onto cement) wasn t an emergency, I left and went elsewhere. Besides some minor cuts, and a broken finger I had 3 broken ribs. However my reason for reviewing now is the fact that Taylor that is telling reviewers to call a number....the least they could do is not leave an automated copy & paste response....obviously no one is actually reading these and trying to improve patient care. Don t waste your time, go ANYWHERE else but here!
I'm sure this will get buried or not commented on but- do not go to this hospital. They made a 25 year old woman with chest pains and an ENLARGED heart wait in the ER waiting room for 4 HOURS. This woman later DIED because of lack of treatment that could have saved her life. Disgusting.
How did you guys let someone with chest pain, and trouble breathing, wait for multiple hours? Now she s dead. Sad situation
I would give ZERO STARS!! Just seen a post about a woman who was waiting for than 2 hours to be seen for chest pain and wasn t treated dies! I m in disbelief how this woman wasn t getting no attention! They should have taken her in ASAP especially having cardiac problems.
This is the worst Hospital ever My son switched over two years ago and the staff has no compassion for sickly patients my son has been to the ER TWICE, which he has sickle cell disease, instead of getting an IV they gave him oral told him that since a lot of people abuse the oxy and other drugs that they cannot prescribe him anything, and that he would need to see his primary doctor, as a parent this is horrible, I witnessed a elderly woman sit in the ER FOR 4 hours with heart complications before they called her this is not ok and should be addressed, If u ever have to go to the ER never ever come here, FRODERT ACTUALLY NEEDS TO TAKE A FEW LESSONS FROM CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, not posting as a upset parent but HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED
This site says that they do paternity testing and they do not!
Saved my life! The docs, nurses and techs are great! One star off for things not generally related to the care providers... They are forced to spend too much time entering EVERYTHING into the computerized medical record, thus, no one has time to actually read/use any of it! There is a lack of coordination between providers many rely on the computer that no one reads... can be frustrating. Parking and navigation around the medical campus is really bad. Overall, there is no where else to go if you are really sick in Wisconsin (and Chicago)!!!
Great for seeing a specialist, (my daughter saw pediatric endocrinologist) hence the two stars. Expect NO follow up care. (My daughter's pediatrician was tasked to monitor the medications, and I was not able to schedule follow up check ups with the specialist, despite the recommendation of the monitoring pediatrician.) Same thing for neuropsychological testing (for learning disabilities). Referred for reevaluation, and was told (in April 2017) they they would see her the following February (2018). This results are needed for the upcoming school year, and the year Erik be mostly finished by the time she gets in for reevaluation. The reevaluation was recommended because the first round of testing was incomplete. Oh, and it cost $1200 for the incomplete results.
Just recently had a visit to Froedert for feeling extremely nauseous, flu symptoms, and pains in my stomach. I tried to explain this to the staff and I suggested an ultrasound for pains in my stomach which was completed. They just told me to
Follow up with my GI dr. However, there was no information or concern placed on my flu symptoms. They did not tell my if I had a fever, my blood pressure, or anything that would help to diagnosis if what I was experiencing was the flu. They left me in a cold room with just the smock on for over an hour and a staff member stated they forgot about me becaz a crisis came through the ER as well. I just feel
Like I wasted my time and money going here in general. Next time I will choose to go with my first instinct which would be Community Memorial.
This is my main hospital, the doctors are great you will get well fast there
The nurses and staff in general were friendly however when it came to the QUALITY of actually medical care I have received it is extremely low. When I came into the ER with uncontrollable vomiting, diarrhea, and the worst pain I ve experienced outside of childbirth I had to RETELL my situation to SIX DOCTORS each who told me one thing they were going to start doing for me which none of them did any of the things and I had to repeat it ask the nurse what was happening and call them back in to get any answers after waiting a solid two hours as I was in so much pain I was literally writhing in pain and screaming. And I have a high pain tolerance. Than once they admitted me because my liver levels were dangerously high I spoke to a different doctor who I never saw again and I never got answers from. Then the next morning I spoke to yet a DIFFERENT doctor who asked me to bring in labs from my functional medicine doctor so we could pull them and communicate with her about a plan for what may be going on. Never saw that doctor again. The next morning finally I saw a new student and they did a small exam but I had some questions about what was going on and when I could restart my antidepressant they had taken me off cold turkey (super dangerous with this type btw and I ve been having a lot of withdrawal symptoms as a result) that meds student never returned like he said he would with an attending to explain what was going on with my body or what the plan would be moving forward seeing all the meds the took me off cold turkey when I was admitted or if/when I should return to work. Then a nurse comes in and tells me I m being discharged. I told him I m not moving until I appeal to a doctor and know 1) what the heck is going on with my body 2) what is the plan of action medication wise and 3) when can I expect possibly to feel like I m not dying (extreme fatigue and dizziness) and sagely return to work. Extremely frustrating experience.
Excellent GP and Specialist on site. Very nice facilities and easy to get around in spite of some major construction going on.
Well he and his team saved my life But I stayed for a month and the nurses were really bad I couldn't wipe myself after the surgery that I had so they just got a spatula and said rap the wash cloth around it and do it yourself I had a car accident and I had to file for help with the bill and I was sent to collections within a month I gave them all the information that they wanted and they wanted more so I gave it to him and every time I called they were still working on it and then I got a letter after a month in the mail that it just went to collections so they didn't help me at all.
best hospital iv ever been to .. the staff are outstanding ... i live in IL. and if you want garbage for care come to one of those . but to me froedtert is top of the line . i spent a month there and made so many friends and the support they give is like nothing else iv ever exp. i cryed my eyes out the day i had to leave .. i would give ten stars if i could !! Froedtert is the BEST !!
Was treated like i did not mater no need for xrays ruptured disk in spine was given no medicine can't even walk high blood pressure heart angina please don't be seen by P A they dont care because there not in pain how sad thats why cops die there
I went to Sussex urgent care for a possible broken finger. They don't have an x-ray there and weren't able to see me. They suggested many other close urgent care facilities. They were so helpful I went to Froedert in New Berlin. Again the staff impressed me with how helpful and thoughtful they were. I avoid going to hospitals as a general rule. I wouldn't mind going back to either one. They were great!
The best experince ive experince from any other hospital
My wife and I went to visit her doctor under FAMILY PLANNING in JULY. The visit she had is supposed to be free and completely covered under family planning. Sometimes we get billed for things we don t know about as this is a common theme amongst health care. We were new to family planning so this time we decided to be proactive about it by calling Froedtert 3 TIMES before we went in to make sure we would NOT receive a bill. We spoke to the people scheduling the appointment over the phone to ensure that it s FREE, we spoke to the lady at the front desk of the office who told us we would NOT get billed for our visit, and we spoke to Froedtert s billing and our own insurance to make sure we would NOT get billed. After the visit, we got billed almost $300. We are extremely saddened by this struggle as my wife really likes the doctors here. We have called MANY times after we received the bill and spoke to various people who were unable to give us answers. It is now January and instead of helping us figure out what went wrong, they sent us to COLLECTIONS for a free service under family planning. We are extremely flabbergasted, stressed, and furious. We feel that there is no hope amongst the billing/insurance department at Froedtert Hospital. If they are billing for family planning (a human right for families who do not make enough...my wife and I went back to school and work part-time) it worries me how they must bill for other services. It is now January and we now have private insurance however, we will not be returning to Froedtert Hospital because of what they have been putting us through. We feel that they do not seem to give an ounce of care to their patients who are actually trying to prevent these kinds of things from happening. It felt like we were doing their job for them at one point and we feel extremely cheated after all of our efforts. If you are someone worried about billing, this is not the place. There are other healthcare organizations that are more organized in this department. I did not want to write this review but I feel that it is necessary as nobody at Froedtert has been able to figure out the problem for months and have thrown us to collections after telling us several times that we would not be billed.
Doctor was in a hurry. Didn't feel like I could ask my questions. Otherwise it was ok.
My father was taken to Froedtert. He was there for a little over 4 hours. Meanwhile, our family continually called to check on him. No one could give us any news but no one reported any issues. Long story short , I was finally contacted and informed CPR was not successful, in next minute informed my dad had a pulse but if it stopped again, there would be no intervention. After his death, info scattered and unclear. Staff should have informed us of his condition before it was too late so that we could pray, etc. I scored them 1 because I had to, otherwise it would be 0. I informed staff and family if I ever need to be sent to hospital, do not send me there.
I'm getting stuck paying for a doctor's visit I never made or even went to. Now I'm stuck paying for it for some reason. Called to get on a payment plan and double one month and even miss sending out statement after correcting that mistake. So here I am again paying two months of payments for one month. I've already switched to a different health provider because of having to pay for a doctor's visit I didn't ask for and poor service.
The last time I was at this hospital for a C-section the nurse ignored me when I told her I felt something gushing down my legs. Turns out I was bleeding out with huge blood clots. I ended up having to have a DNC, blood transfusion, and wasn't able to see my baby 16 hours later. A different nurse told me I need to go to bed and stay there because it was "bed time". She moved my call button, cell phone and room phone. I was so weak and cold I couldn't even yell for help. We told the charge nurse and said I'd be handled but then ever nurse after except for 1 was rude and then tried to rush me out of the hospital. Nothing was handled and our insurance company was charged for all of there mistakes. I was so low on blood and they needed to put in a new IV. They made a game of nurses trying to get it even after calling the specialist with the ultrasound. I left the hospital covered in bruises. I was also given the wrong medication (blood thinner). The nurses didn't listen to my OB on things as well. So many more things went wrong....
My sister was in froedtert for 4 months...she was in 5NW. I have to acknowledge some beautiful Angels that wear nurses uniforms. Brenna and Sam from that floor are absolutely incredible people. They have such empathy for people. They genuinely care. I am greatful for these two...also leeAnn lathrop was the most incredible social worker to work with. She never acted like I was bothering her with all my questions. She was a great resource for what we were dealing with. I truly appreciate these folks. And was very impressed at there human kindnesses. I wish them the very best.
My Dad had a very large stroke a couple months ago. 2 days after the stroke the neurologists (Dr. Helms and Dr. Champeau) told us he would not recover much from his near-vegetative state and that if we kept him alive he would live in a nursing home the rest of his life being tube fed, and within a year and a half die of pneumonia.
If we had listened to these geniuses we'd have put my Dad in hospice and he'd have been dead weeks ago. Fortunately we gave the old man a chance; he now feeds himself, talks, laughs, and continues to meet his therapy goals.
The nursing care and therapy he received while at Froedtert was exceptional. The social workers were also great. The neurologists, however, left a lot to be desired. Take their prognostications with a heavy dose of salt. All the letters behind their names don't mean they know everything, despite what they tell you.
I have been seeing an awesome ENT at Froedtert however it is almost impossible to get through Froedtert s maze of phone choices. I ve tried all day to get past voicemail, choosing a wrong option finally got me to a human who unfortunately promised to stay on the line with me to make sure I got through to my ear nose and throat doctors direct nurse however they never stayed on the line and I never got through, again. This happens EVERY time I need to make an appointment. My physician told me to contact him and he will get me in urgently whenever I need however it s impossible to actually get through to him. I understand that Froedtert is a very busy place but they make it super difficult and inconvenient for their patients. Why can t a human answer the phone? Pressing zero for operator just starts the frustrating cycle all over again. I will now find a new ENT. I m sure Dr. Harris doesn t even know what we go through. He is a great doctor... super great...but awful process. I appreciate all he has done for me. Voicemails aren t promptly returned, humans aren t available. Very sad.
My brother has been here over a month with a severe tbi. I am a CNA. So I know what a good bedside manner is. And I also know it is your job to care for the patient AND their families. I am disgusted with how rude and poor the bedside manner is for my brother. Total lack of respect to him and his family who are asking questions we don t know the answers to. You re the ones with medical knowledge. It is your job to explain things. If you can t find someone can! And don t be rude, everyone is scared and confused as it is. Can t wait for him to get the hell out of here. Your nurses need a refresher on bedside manner and basic respect. Absolutely disgusting!!!!
Er doctor was unable to remove glass from my foot, hospital still charged me thousands of dollars. Plus I had to pay another dr to take the glass out, I won t choose to go to this faucility again I m questioning there dr skills. A dentist ended up removing the glass.
Billing is ridiculous. I was at Froedtert South. I have no complaint regarding the service. But I have been harassed by their billing dept to setup an agreed on amount of $400 per month which I have refused. I offered $100 per month and they refused. Heres the kicker, thats only in case something bad happens I send them over $400 per month. And I get harassing calls to the point I have blocked their number. Make the payment arrangements in advance or go elsewhere.
Truly, CPMC is one of the best hospitals around. As of late, they have really started going out of their way to treat their patients as guests. Top notch doctors, equipment and programs make this an outstanding hospital. If you are ever in the unfortunate position of needing medical attention, this place is a great choice.
This particular visit I was disappointed in the level of compassion care and concern for an individual who suffers from the disease of addiction. I was present for support and I believe the stigma attached to addiction impeded proper medical care. You don't send a person home without working out a plan or adequate solution.
Alternatives to medication should always be proffered to a patient as well as an expression of empathy. "I'm sorry you feel this way" is not a solution or even sincere. Why are you sorry?
We asked questions about holistic approaches. How do you recommend an alternative method of treatment that you refuse to not prescribe. Individuals with income limitations should not be driven to buy treatment alternatives when there is an affordable care alternative that is conducive to recovery.
It is a poorly run institution, go elsewhere for care!
Amazing doctors here! All of the medical staff at Froedtert is very kind and makes sure you're on the right treatment plan. I would much rather take an hour long bus ride here than to Columbia St. Mary's.
This is an amazing staff to get your wisdom teeth pulled out! The consultation with dr. Gonzales put me at ease of what to expect! He did such a good job on me I can t believe how fast I healed he did amazing!!! The nurses were very supportive and even after checked up by calling me to see how I was .
I have been a patient at freoderdt for about 7 years now, and although the Care I receive is very good the billing practices are horrible. I have told the people who check me in numerous times in fact every time I go there that I have a workmans comp case and yet they bill Medicare every single time.that the bill isn't fully paid in one payment. I'm probly over the 2 million dollar amount by now having had 8 total knee replacements due to multiple infections. It's to the point that my credit is almost shot because of all of the bills that are not being paid by Medicare and are getting pushed out by them and not getting covered by workmans comp. It's very frustrating because I know for a fact workmans comp is one of the best payers the hospital gets when they have new patients. They typically pay better than most other insurance carriers do yet I get treated this way every single appointment. They continue to ask me the Medicare questions even after I tell them it's a comp case. They refused to listen. I've spoken to the billing department numerous times about this out of frustration and have gotten nowhere. Good luck to anybody that is dealing with workmans comp and Froederdt at the same time.
Worst ever! I would never go back. Got my bill and they told me I needed to pay 750.00 dollars a month on a 4600 dollar bill. Didn't even no when I went in I was going to have someone training instead of the doctor I was seeing!
Just try and complain about a halfwit doctor. You will get the runaround and brushoff. They do not like complaints. / 26 June 2017 Thanks for the contact link David, it was so helpful <sarcasm> . See people, they do not want to hear complaints, they just try and placate you, they solve no problems or complaints.
You're much better off at West Allis Memorial Hospital or Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
Froedtert Hospital literally saved my life. The Doctors and Nurses are amazing.
I'm paying on a bill froedtert Hospital, I paying monthly. This month paid on the 15 posted on the 17th. Received a call from the billing office asked are you going to pay this month! She then told me that they have no record of it! Told her when I paid it and had a conformation # also. It didn't matter to her, she told me I needed to get a copy of the bank statement. Not happy I got a copy of it. Then went to the West Bend Clinic they were nice about. She fax the paper over to billing told them to call when it was cleared up still no call! Never been late on a payment yet. Can someone answer this question why doesn't froedtert accept care credit??
Very poor. No regard for timeliness. Impossible to schedule with. Will not listen to and believe patient. Wait hours after scheduled time slot for surgery.
If I could give ZERO STARS I would have. Absolute Nightmare Experienced during procedure you might only see in movies. Anesthesia Failed and Woke up during procedure gasping for air and paralyzed while still able to feel everything. I will update this review with full details of the story later.
My Bestfriend & I Came To The ER At 11:30 At Night .. They Kept Reassessing People & Taking All Night To See Everybody .. People Were Leaving Because Of The Long Wait , & Most People Were Really In A Lot Of Pain.. We Didn t Leave The ER Until 7am.. Their Service Is So Slow & They Don t Have Any Consideration For Others People Time.. Other People Have Work Too! I ll Never Visit Again..
For Breast center PA & Neuropsychologist I was seen at the center for issues than recommended to have a mammogram between the ages 35-40, to call my primary have her place the order to set it up. My grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer around 35, died by 45yoa. I am 36. So I contacted my primary she got it all setup. Got called to schedule because of my issues the center needed to be contacted to determine what type, the center wouldn't allow me to schedule one. Said to make it between the ages 35-40. Again I'm 36. My grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer at 35. And they are stopping me from scheduling a mammogram. My grandmother was actually misdiagnosed prior to her actual diagnosis of cancer and by than it was too late. Thanks froedtert so helpful with mammograms!!!
Neuropsychology. ...I made a appointment with one neuropychologist and when I got the confirmation letter the department decided without my permission or knowledge changed it from one to a completely different neuropsychologist. This appointment is the second evaluation as my child had started school and things are being consistently reported so testing is the next step. I purposefully did NOT schedule with this person as they conducted the initial evualuation. There would be bias obviously and her attitude was terrible. I called was argued with first stating they did not make that change when I challenged and said ya you did and you are not allowed to do so it than switched to that whoever did the first does the next, i said no I do not have to have the same person. Sooooo...... at froedtert if you want a second evaluation per their 'policy' it has to be with the same doctor who performed the first. So go outside of froedtert that was what I was told, so I said ok cancelled appts and am going elsewhere.
February 4th, National Cancer Day, marks my first diagnosis with Stage 4, colon and liver cancer. After 3 rounds of chemo, 1 round of radiation, two major surgeries and one to go, I m effectively cancer free. From Stage 4 to effectively clear. From my doctors, George, Christian, Hall, and Ludwig to their staffs, the Day Hospital, Cancer Labs, and the care teams in the hospital, I wouldn t be here Today without them. The care I received was second to none.
I called the CANCER ICU for an update of a love one and his nurse Elaina ( hope I spelled it correct) she works the late shift.. was very rude and not compassionate at all to me. She basically had no empathy to my concerns! My uncle is dying and everyone is emotionally and for a nurse to get loud with me over the phone and respond to me with a mean demeanor is disrespectful and unethical...some people that has a career in healthcare shouldn t be allowed to watch over patients!! I m very disappointed with this hospital!
We waited 6 months before they would schedule an appointment and another month of waiting for that appointment after it was made. After those 7 months of waiting, it was cancelled the day before. The only reason we got in at all was because someone in a higher position listened and fit us in. After arriving for a minor surgery, and after 7 months of waiting, we were told they don't want to do the surgery and told to see a physical therapist instead. This wouldn't have been such a problem if there hadn't been so many painful months of waiting before being told they wouldn't do anything. The scheduling and management of this hospital is abysmal.
Needed to use the emergency room in Menomonee Falls Dec 27th 2019 at 6:30 pm was 12:30 am befour my 86 year old mother ever saw a Doctor. We were forgotten by the nursing staff and brought my concerns to the 4 nurse's talking at the desk, suddenly a nurse came in the room to draw blood. (She was angry, rude and a bit ruff ) There was a shift change and the next staff was amazing. We saw the doctor briefly had a CT scan, checked her urine and left with antibiotics at 3:15 am. They think she passed a kidney stone. All we needed after the initial check in was someone to occasionally ask if we were OK and not be ignored for hours. Maybe if this 86 year old woman was bleeding on the outside instead of the inside she would have gotten more attention. We have both been with this hospital for years and this was my first disappointing experience.
Horrible experience. Had to get $ from my retirement to pay this. 57 and work part-time. The worst.
The ER staff is caring, but inefficient. Everything takes an ETERNITY. It's been 9 hours, and my elderly mother still hasn't been admitted. Suggestion: Don't come to any hospital without an advocate along to speak up for you.
Don t get me wrong the nurses and doctor that preformed my fathers surgery were absolutely wonderful and so were the nurses in Recovery and ICU. When we first check into the Family Center there was a lady named Grundy. She was fabulous! But as for those other Family Center staff they are another story Bonnie I believe was her name. What a grumpy, very unsympathetic lady! Every time we walked past she would look over her glasses and give us an unpleasant look. There was another one who works later in the evening she didn t know what the heck she was talking about and yet again another snotty attitude questioning me about everything she possibly could before I could see my dad up in recovery. Kept saying we all couldn t see him at once and who was going to watch our stuff. Like look lady it s none of your business. We have been there since 4am it was about 5pm. Neither one of those ladies deserves to be in the position they are in. Don t they understand that families that have to wait in the family center are going through a tough time and need compassion NOT to be treated like my siblings and I were.
This hospital staff is horrible!! terrible terrible ppl!!! Do not come here if you have a serious illness! I brought my daughter here for the very first time to visit her grandmother who has cancer and in her last days. And the nurse would not give my child a doctors note for school The next day. Then she refused to let me speak with the doctor or anyone else! And now my child has a unnexcused absense at school for her dieing grandparent. If you have the choice choose a hospital with better patient care!
Just had our baby boy here last week and had a great experience all around in the birthing center. Nurses and doctors were all around friendly and down to earth. Would recommend it to others.
Absolute state of the art doctors and medical facilities. The problem lies in their billing. We delivered a healthy boy, thanks to the faculty at Froedtert and Children's. The nightmare began when we began with the bills. We received bill after bill after bill, not one bill, but many. We entered into a payment arrangement with them to manage them all. After entering into this arrangement, we got more bills, as if they didn't know we'd had this arrangement. I figured they would figure it out and that it was a mistake on their end. No, they have different account numbers for each bill, so you need a payment arrangement for EACH bill! So, long story short, I didn't realize they didn't know until we got notice they were going to sue us in local courts for a $500 amount, which I paid over the phone, while thousands more were being paid back in this payment arrangement. No warning that they were that stupid.
If you're going to deal with them, realize they have world class medical care that is being run with the management skills of the toddler they helped keep alive. Thanks Froedtert! :(
Update: They have sent 3 additional bills to collections for a total of $200, which again, I paid immediately, but had previously had no idea they existed. It would seem they should rather NOTIFY people of these, by mail or phone, prior to sending them to collections and settling for pennies on the dollar while affecting their client's credit... But they don't. Their billing department is beyond repair.
My husband went to The ER in ALOT of pain from a accident working right outside of Froedtert.
He sliced open his head where they put in plenty of staples and continued to do a chest X-ray.
THEY SAID THAT THE X-RAYS SHOWED NOTHING WAS WRONG OR BROKEN AND DID NOT GIVE HIM ANY PAIN MEDS AND HAD HIM LEAVE!!!
The next night he could hardly breathe so I took him to Ascension where they did Ct scans and FOUND 5 broken ribs!
NEEDLESS TO SAY!!!
He had HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!
Very kind and respectful staff. However, policies are outrageous. I gave birth to my 2nd baby. My only support system was my husband and 2 yo. No family nearby, so just us. However, the hospital refused to allow my 2 yo to stay past 8 PM. Thus, my husband and 2 yo had to go home, leaving me by myself. The newborn and myself were forced to stay 2 nights. It was tough, emotionally and physically, being separated from my only support system. Froedtert needs to change their guess policy!!!
Not happy that I had to wait outside the hospital because I had two minors. I went to visit a family member after 8pm with two children and I couldnt go in to visit. I had to wait outside with the kids. The guard stated that this is the policy, but when I checked the policy it states that kids under 18 couldnt go into the room. It doesnt state that kids cant wait in the lobby. I was not happy that I had to wait outside the hospital. It was not hospitality.
F-dirt Hospital. My mother has been trying to make an appointment to see a transplant coordinator since October 2015. Almost 9 months later she still does not have an appointment. This is a life/death issue.
I had my Kidney Transplant at this hospital 11 yrs ago. I am so thankful to the transplant team and all the doctors that worked together so well to give me a second chance at life. This is one of the best hospitals I have been to.
Terrible doctors I've been there twice and both times I've been either misdiagnosed or ignored.
The first time I went in was for a kidney stone the conversation went like this.
Doctor: so what brings you in today
Me: I passed a stone and now I'm peeing blood
Doctor: well we will need to take a few pictures of you to make sure that is the case
After the photos are taken I'm told I didn't pass a stone and I have tract infection instead and was sent home
The second time I went in I was having sever ankle pain and my ankle swells like softball almost randomly for about a year before I finally went in to get it checked out. I was given an x-ray told it was swollen ankle and sent home with a bag of ice and $1300 in medical bills.
I went for an ear check up. They cleaned my ear and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Then I received a $900 bill. If you like being robbed, see a Froedtert doctor.
I've been to the er twice in a month for them to send me home hours later with no remedy for my pain. After following up with physician in specialty clinic whom suggested muscle relaxers (no remedy to pain), then days later admitted to hospital. After being in the hospital a week with "body scans", antibotics, narcotics, and nausea meds nothing found as cause of pain. Still urging to send me home with no remedy/ accurate treatment/ or even clear dignosis for a treatment plan. After giving all the pateince possible for a fair treatment opportunity I was told that maybe its a problem with anxiety. I see how so many of the locals are suffering medical issues. Everything is assumed as mental illness. Wisconsin as a whole is the worst experience I have ever had.
I've been a patient at Froedtert many times and the care is overall excellent. Had a disappointing experience this am since my elderly mom had emergency surgery. She had to throw a fit to get a phone in her room on 2NT and when I tried to call, I was put on hold for 12 minutes waiting to get connected. No apology or response when I mentioned it. My mom has a phone now but no one bothered to give her the phone number to the room (it's usually written on the room board) so I still can't call her directly. Such a basic thing to keep patients connected to friends/family. Do better Froedtert.
The labor and delivery team is great an the few nurses we had down in the E.R. during our late night visits were great I had a high risk pregnancy an at 20 weeks an couple days I went into labor after a failed stitch procedure due to it becoming dangerous for our daughter an our daughter was born in march 2019 an passed away 25 minutes later the nurses an doctors were amazing they made sure my significant other an I were taken care of thru the whole delivery an made all kinds of mementos for us to take home in memory of our daughter! We will for sure be going back to this hospital!
Went to the ED based on recommendation of a possible ectopic pregnancy. Waited 5 hours before being discharged with ANOTHER PREGNANT WOMAN S DISCHARGE INFORMATION.... I now have someone else s ultrasound results listed on Mychart when my ultrasound results were the complete opposite. I love the specialty clinics and if it weren t for them I would never go back.
Sure, it may be an academic hospital, but it would greatly be improved if the doctors communicated with each other, even the same thing with the patients. For example: January 2, 2013, I was told by one doctor I would not need surgery and I could probably go home in a few days. My wife and I were on the cell phones telling everyone the good news. I had just finished the last call when 2 doctors came in my room, "We want to discuss your surgery tomorrow." Even the medical records state they discussed with me why I should have surgery. That was an outright lie! They never discussed, they just told me! Even after the leg surgery, they never put on an SCD to prevent blood clots. I finally got one a couple days after, after my nagging. Even despite the very minimal dosage Lovenox injections in the abdomen, I STILL got blood clots in both lungs! I had to have PT there for the following 3 months. I received PT there twice per week for12 weeks. The first month, I received a statement with each individual PT. The second month, I received a statement posting the PT charge for each week. The third month, I received a statement showing charges for both individual PT AND weekly charges. (Double Billing?) Then, they denied me financial assistance, even though Wheaton Healthcare gave me 100% Community Care. Though I was unemployed due to a brain disease and my wife was only part time, Froedtert refused financial assistance, even when I filed for appeal. Eventually, they forced me into Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Not only will I never go there again, I tell others of my experience. Many even agree with me having the same type experience. One thing I DO have to say, They DO have some awesome, wonderful nurses!
Some very good nurses and doctors, but we had a horrible discharge experience that makes us never want to come back.
This hospital is one of the best in the Midwest. The trauma center here is one of the best in the country. If you are having any ailments that require emergency attention this would be the hospital to choose. They have the most trained doctors in the region.
My doctor Ninef Zaya requested on a number of occasions copies of my medical records which are quite extensive which they never responded to or provided. I filed a complaint against the hospital with the, Better Business Bureau, which they did not respond to.
