My daughter and my little cousin have been waiting over a month for their paychecks. I m starting to believe that the people running this place it pocketing the children s monies. This is the most unorganized, dishonest company I have ever dealt with. Everyone, from the CEO down could care less about these teens being compensated properly. I truly believe this organization s motivation is the grant money they receive for the program, not the well being of the teens. Until they prove otherwise I will continue to blast this organization to anyone who will listen. Philadelphia Youth Network....SHAME ON YOU!!!!! Chekemma Fulmore-Townsend do something about this foolishness.

My daughter worked over the summer for PYN. It was her first little summer job she was so excited thinking all the things she s going to do with her money when she gets paid. My daughter was disappointed and let down week after week after week waiting to get paid but still participated until the very end. It is very sad the way you all did these children, if they worked they deserve to be compensated for it this is soooo unacceptable!!!! And to top it off PYN you all don t even answer the phone or reply to emails I have called I have emailed. Y all dismissed the children without paying them and moved on to the next that is so disappointing!!!! WE ARE IN OCTOBER NOW STILL NO PAY!!!!

I give this company a poor rating! They contacted me and said my son was placed at a job site. Called the site to coordinate my son s schedule and the person they told me to contact didn t work at that site. This was told to me by the receptionist who answered the telephone at the school. I emailed this contact person and they never replied. I then contacted Youth Network to advise them that I was unable to reach the contact person at the job site and asked for additional contact information. Youth Network never responded to my email. Weeks later, I emailed the Director Kate Rivera, who never replied to my email. My son was very disappointed and was self-motivated to work, only to be let down. I was more disappointed that an organization that promotes employment to the youth could be so unresponsive and unprofessional, especially a Program Director.

I have grown very frustrated and after looking for the phone number again to call in the hopes that I would reach someone by phone, I discover a complaint from another parent about her child not being paid either. So what exactly is going on? Why have these children believe that they would be paid for working???? If this was not possible then the program should have been cancelled. No one will follow up and I have to say that the situation was compounded by having to deal with the Allegheny West Foundation who claims to be an organization aimed at helping the community but is run by incompetent staff who are rude and lazy to say the least. Why are you not paying these children?????
