Stayed here for a week with my family. We were traveling with a baby and the hotel was very accommodation in providing us a crib, fridge, microwave and high chair. The rooms were quite spacious and we enjoyed the bath tub and shower. Beautiful sights around the property. Areas were all well maintained.
We really enjoyed the sunset pool for the pretend beach and gentle slope into the water. Perfect for our baby.
Took off a star for the following:
- we were not aware the Sonoran pool was closed for maintenance during our stay (monday to friday)! Was quite disappointed to know that as that was one of the pools we were looking forward to using before our arrival. Even at check-in, the agent didn t tell us even though we asked which are the kid friendly pools, he said Sonoran and Sunset, but no mention that one of them was closed during our stay
- the doors arent well sealed or sound proof. It is great they use brick flooring for the outdoor hallways, but you constantly hear wheels trotting over the bumps from cleaning carts of luggages. it gets kind of noisy.

Fyi, check when they are having conferences as it gets quite busy! Luckily a conference was starting the day we were leaving so we missed the crowds.

Overall, beautiful hotel, lovely property. We enjoyed our stay.

Phenomenal resort. Several pools and hot tubs open 24/7. The water slide was fun but only open 10-5. The rooms were very clean and large. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Only 2 small garbage. Balcony provides beautiful views. Ambience was gorgeous.

Wonderfully beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable. The grounds are perfectly maintained, the pools comfortably warm. The spa and workout areas, given to the rejuvenation of the mind, body, and spirit. Quite possibly my most favorite get-away in twenty years of travel.

Christmas at the Princess is a Wonderful experience. All ages and from singles to couples to families. Marvelous decor and Christmas Spirit.

Highly recommend the train ride and ice skating. I double recommend getting a table on the outskirt of the rink so that you can enjoy smores, drinks and food around the fire pit.

When we first called to make reservation I asked about COVAID-19 safety. I was told all rooms are sanitized and wearing masks is needed. I felt safe to take my family for the first time since lock down in March. My husband and I chose this place for a staycation, price is right and it's right there. I also failed to look into deals because there was a $199.00 a night deal with $100.00 credit to room. Ugh. Everything was nice, fun and not so crowded. We were having a blast until we were ready to leave. The room LOOKED clean and I should have checked when checking in, but we were so excited. Well, when we were leaving my baby found this under the bed after looking for his toys. I was so upset, upset with my husband for my baby looking for his own toys. Upset with myself and my older kids. I rushed to clean his hands for 2 solid mins and told the front desk. I wished I had looked everywhere for the safety of my family and wiped everything down again when checking in. It's necessary. I left uneasy after that because of the health and sanitation issue for my family. The front desk took $20 off for the inconvenience. I left unsettled. Wished I checked the rooms. I thought this place was a 4 or 5 star hotel?? Still shaking my head and hope, praying my son doesn't catch anything.

My wife and I are big fans of the Fairmonts in general and this one in particular. We booked here at the beginning and end of a long camping trip and it could not have better served our needs for comfort, relaxation & great food.

Before coming here I thought this was an overpriced trap. Now that I'm here it's worth it. So beautiful, the staff is amazing and the room is like a small apartment. I wish I could afford to have my parents stay here when they visit. Great for a getaway.

Had to go over to the Princess hotel to pick up a client. Jarred, the "Cowboy" valet, hit my client up for a tip while she was getting into the SUV and when she didn't tip him, Jarred got an attitude and literally threw her 2 heavy hardcase suitcases into the back of the SUV making a crashing sound when they they smashed into the back seats.

I immediately got out of the SUV and went around back to confront Jarred, and told him that he shouldn't be throwing someone's luggage around like that. "Cowboy" Jarred acted like an arrogant little jerk, "sneered" at me and right in front of my client, told me that he's been working at the Princess for 18 years and he'll be working there another 18 more so it won't matter much if I complain about it and he couldn't care less even if I do.

Well, Jarred, you little jerk, I AM complaining. I filed a complaint with the hotel, the hotel's general manager, as well as EVERY other review site on planet earth.

This kind of arrogant attitude is completely outrageous, unacceptable and uncalled for (especially from someone working in the so-called "hospitality" business). The Fairmont Princess should not tolerate this kind of behavior from any of it's employees.

Great place to stay to play and relax. Very family friendly and oriented. Rooms good size, beds comfortable. Toilet room and shower a little small but does the job. Only thing was the mirowave and fridge we requested wasn't in the room upon arrival, but was quickly fixed. Lots of things to do. Great staff.

I love the pool and the man made water fall here. You can eat out by the pool, and at night eat at the restaurant overlooking the pool outside on the veranda. This is a remarkable 5 star resort. It is removed from the hustle and bustle of central old town scottsdale, and it has a very up scale yet laid back feel to it.

We went for their winter carnival! It's $50 to park but you get 6 wristbands to go on the rides. We go every year and it really is so fun! They have so many fun details. It is free of charge opening night.

Our room smelled off and the room seemed out dated and worn. The carpet was coming up throughout the room, smelled old, and just seemed old. We also had dinner at the steak restaurant which had slower service and wasn't the best meal for the price we paid. Finally we had drinks and appetizers at the outdoor bar which was going fine till a cockroach ran across our food. Shortly after they cleaned the food off another was under the napkin that ran on to my wife. I would think spending $1700 on two nights stay with drinks and food that we would get better service and accommodations. We told management about this and nothing was done, the food wasn't even taken off when a bug ran across it. Our parents have a membership at the spa and we stay local hotels often but after this stay we will not be returning to the Princess and our parents will finding another membership.

A vast and beautiful resort. Some rooms are a bit dated but overall this resort has a lot to offer. Multiple pools, water slide, sand beach pool and quite a few restaurants and bars. The spa is very extensive and has got pretty much anything you can think of!

We visited the Fairmont Princess resort for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The spa was very nice and very professional, my massage was great and my wife said he's was the best she ever had. The dinner at Bourbon Steak was a little pricey, but was very good apart from the strange lack of vegetable side options. Our service all weekend was second to none and we are already thinking about coming back for a future weekend.

Beautiful property but snarky staff make it feel as if you are an imposition. Hire people that want to work in Customer Service instead of young cute staff that could give a damn about your patrons. Signage is still a mess...especially at night. TV and internet were down in my room frequently. Food is outrageous and very average. Oh, and after my shoes were mysteriously missing on the 2nd day, I found my new Adidas sneakers on the cleaning cart parked at the end of my row of Villa's. Nice.

Attended an event in the ballrooms. While it was a little difficult to navigate the grounds, We found the event space to be well organized, the food that was catered by the resort was good and the staff was knowledgeable.

"Christmas at the Princess" is a magical experience! Ride the Polar Express, see the holiday light show, take a sledding ride, ride the ferris wheel, and roast s'mores by the fire! Great winter getaway place for the whole family.

We just came for the Christmas activities. Beautiful grounds and fun for the kids. Ate at La Hacienda and had the WORST SERVICE EVER! Waiter was non existent and the others who kept coming to our table took my plate I was eating from and when I asked 2 people for more chips, as my meal was guacamole, they said yes and never returned. When our waiter came back, when everyone else was finished eating he asked if we were okay. I said no, 2 people never brought me chips like they said. His reply was rude and said you didn't ask me, well, I would've if you were around.... all 7 of us were out of water and the chips were over cooked or the oil was old. For the price and the place I expected at least some kind of service. It was some of the worst I've had. Skip the meal, enjoy the beautiful place and all the festivities! All the other staff around the grounds were extremely nice and helpful.

This was the best food, best birthday ever! Great customer service at all locations. Tried to take pictures of the whole grounds. I think the staff told us it was about 65 acres. 6 pools on site, the steakhouse was to die for. Don't remember the chefs last name, just her first: Sara was the most amazing chef I've seen in years.

Christmas at the Princess is the worst holiday season event in town. They charged $55 for 3-4 rides, loading hundreds of people at the place. We waited 2 hours in lines. No restrooms at the place that makes it very difficult if you have kids with you. The nearest restrooms are located 10 min walk. When we got there, the line was even longer than the rides. They should be ashamed of themselves for these bad services.

I left my luggage with bell desk and they lost it. I left it for a couple hours while attending our conference closing remarks. It took nearly 1/2 hour for staff to find it and I almost missed my ride to the airport.
They acted like it was no big deal.
The TV didn't work well. Kept losing signal.
Reasonable priced food was not available. I called doordash for a simple hamburger.
Nice, but staff is too friendly, like lip service.

Stayed here with my father for a 3 day golf trip. Pros: The room was very nice, clean, large, comfortable, good view. The pool was fantastic as were the grounds. Cons: Service. For a 5 diamond resort that preaches service we had 3 separate issues that we feel did not get resolved nor did anyone take action.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The grounds and facilities were well kept and clean. The Christmas decorations were pretty and much more spread out evenly across the whole grounds than expected - a pleasant surprise. The food was decent, albeit a bit saltier and higher priced than our normal liking, but they did take into account our many dietary restrictions and needs at each restaurant dining experience. It was relaxing. The rooms had one of the best hotel showers we've used and a pretty good amount of space as well. A good experience!
