I live close by and frequent this place quite often. Beautiful place, but service is consistently mediocre. They are becoming less and less local friendly which seems to be a trend in Scottsdale.

I recommend the Christmas at the Princess for families with young children. There is a ferris wheel, carousel, ice slide, light displays, and fire pits. Train ride, Santa, and ice rink are extra. Look for discounted tickets ahead of time and a express pass if going on the weekend otherwise lines can be over an hour for one ride. Food at the event was mediocre - eat beforehand. The hotel room was clean and comfortable with a decent view of the lights, nearby mountains, or the "lagoon" and golf course. Staff was very friendly. They even gave us bread to feed the ducks. My only complaint is the area with picnic tables has very uneven ground. Careful or you will roll your ankle. Lastly, bring your swimsuit for one of the many heated pools!

My husband and I wanted to get away for the evening for his birthday. I surprised him with going to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort. We were treated like a King and Queen, attention to every detail. Our room was upgraded, which was so nice. We were surprised with chocolate covered strawberries , as a treat from the hotel. The food at La Hacienda was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back in the future.

I was at this resort for business in Feb of 2018. The accommodations were great, but there was an error with reservations. Somehow, they had me double booked under Andy and Andrew. When I was informed after check-out, the staff and management had ZERO empathy and told me I had to pay for both reservations. Absolutely ridiculous and poor customer service.

The parking is horrible. I do not need a valet and the cowboy guard won.t let me park in the close lots. I would like to visit the bar and restaurant more often but if I have to walk from the business building next door because I don't want to drop $20 on a valet, then Princess can kiss me goodbye.

These supposed 5 star people charged me for an upgraded room that I decided not to take. I found the extra charges 5 days later when reviewing my bill. When I called the resort (or should I say, "motel"), the front desk informed me that only the accounting department could take care of such matters during their normal business hours. When i contacted the accounting office (during their normal hours) I was granted the ability to leave a message on someones' voice mail. To make a long story shorter, it took me 8 hours to get the issue resolved because the accounting office had to confer with the front desk manager to determine if I deserved my money back. At the end of the day I was told, "thank you for your patience" and not one single apology was ever extended. If their customer service equaled their arrogance, they might be close to being a 4 star.
Make sure to keep a close eye on your final billing

Amazing! We were there less than 13 hours and it literally felt like we were there for the whole weekend. Great staff, good food, amazing concierge service. Landscape is also beautiful. We might just be back for Christmas.

I have stayed at the Princess multiple times for work and pleasure. I will continue to come back many times. I really appreciate the clean room, polite staff, courteous Spa staff, food variety ... but the most important to me is the friendly and safe atmosphere. It is my home away from home preferred destination!

We attended Christmas at the Princess. Super fun for the kids and the light displays are really beautiful. I only gave it 4 stars because the lines were so long that it ate up most of our time there. Bring your own s'mores fixings and skewers to save yourself $20. The best deal is the restaurant version!

We took kids here for the Christmas experience and it was absolutely spectacular. The grounds are beautifully decorated and the Christmas spirit was in the air. The room was beautiful and spacious, loved the fireplace, and we enjoyed all the rides and light displays. The staff was attentive and friendly and Carolyn s smile at the front desk was so genuine and she was extremely accommodating to our requests. We will be back.

The Fairmont Princess is a luxury resort in Scottsdale, AZ. The property is immaculate, rambling, tasteful. Our room is thoughtfully appointed and comfortable. There are six pools, each a different feeling. The food and beverages here are unmatched. Each and every staff member we have encountered is friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this resort

Absolutely amazing resort for families with tons of stuff to keep adults AND kiddos entertained. We were lucky enough to stay at the resort during Labor day weekend, which was themed with Hawaiian decor
/events. Only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because of a smoke detector mishap we had our first night, btw the hrs of 11:30 pm and 2:15 am. No biggie that it went off in the middle of the night, twice, but after calling the front desk, it took over an hour (and another bout of the loud alarm) before someone finally came and removed the SD. I was extremely disappointed that no one called to follow up or apologize over the inconvenience. Thankfully, my kids sleep like rocks!

The hotel is one of the most talked about in the Phoenix area. The hotel looks great and the staff have been fantastic, but for me the room is less than spectacular. They put me in a handicap room and they are sold out. I booked over a month ago. I dont have curtains I have blinds, which are not light blocking! The desk chair is not on wheels and is on carpet so it not only doesn't adjust up and down but is hard to move around as well. The bathroom is not designed for my convenience. Is it enough to complain about no, but from the hype, I was hoping for more of a thrilling experience. Odds are you wont get this room and if you play golf, the room is not what you are here for!

Very sad, one of our premier spas in valley is very run down and in desperate need of a face lift. The pool was closed when we were there and it was never mentioned when my friend and I booked our treatments. The staff is friendly and therapists are good. Getting something to eat was a little cumbersome and the amenities were quite limited. With all the fabulous spas to choose from especially in Scottsdale, cross this off your list.

I was on a trip to Flagstaff and needed a friend's vehicle for picking up a glorious T-3000 Tornado foosball table for cheap. This review has nothing to do with the Princess, but Google insists I leave a review of some kind. The place looked very clean, nice, etc from the outside. I'll have my buddy give me the tour next time I'm that way and report back. Thanks Google :)

Beautiful and creatively designed/ laid out resort...

Beautiful and creatively designed/ laid out resort property. Lots of pool options, a couple of excellent restaurants on premise (highly recommend La Hacienda), top notch spa, and service in general was top notch. We did have one complaint that we should have dealt with promptly but due to our schedule didn't... We stayed in the newer Sunset Beach building, which while it was very nice, our bed had a plastic mattress cover, which was noisy and made us very hot while "trying" to sleep. On top of that, a flat sheet rather than fitted sheet was used, and it would not stay tucked under the mattress and bunched up on the plastic mattress cover. We had 3 pretty lousy night's sleep as a result. When I mentioned this upon checkout the lady at the front desk basically said "sorry" and that was it... We should have mentioned it after the first night but our schedules were very hectic and we didn't take the time - so, beware of that!

Overpriced and rundown..
we have been going there for many years . The place gets older and older and is in desperate need of a major overhaul. The landscaping is also very overgrown and tired. Good luck taking a shower in the 20 year old Casitas. They need to Invest some serious money into this place ..500 to 1000 dollars a night is crazy.

So beautiful! Upscale but easy to be comfortable. I went for the Pumpkin -Harvest event. Excellent service at all stations from valet to smores sales. Decor is rich for this event and lots of thought went into photo opportunities. Most people wore Covid precaution masks but a lot didn't. Sad.
The Princess is a lovely resort and I will go back for other events.
