STAY AWAY! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

My shipment has been rescheduled 4 times and I've rented a truck twice only to find out when I arrive that my items are not there.

They didn't notify me or provide any reasonable excuse. They wouldn't take accountability or even offer a partial refund.

They do not care about their customers and believe they have no responsibility for the service.

If you value your items, stay away from these vultures. A special call out for Shirley Hemmings and Nick Gjura for their disrespect and horrible customer service.

I truly hope this company goes bankrupt, they DO NOT deserve to be in business.

UPDATE:

They re now trying to use scare tactics by way of legal ramifications to get me to remove this review.

I won t remove this review; their Managing Partner Shaneel Mehta is trying to manipulate the situation so I take this down.

Sorry Shaneel Mehta but this is verifiable fact and I have threads of emails proving what I ve in fact said above.

It seems our friend Shaneel Mehta doesn t understand that defamation is the spreading of false information that leads to the damaging of reputation defamation however is not the spreading of TRUE and VERIFIABLE information that leads to the damaging of reputation.

A fantastic service for shipping my son's personal...

A fantastic service for shipping my son's personal belongings from Toronto to the UK. Shirley was excellent, proactively advising me how to keep the costs as low as possible, advising me about Transfer of Residency exemptions and ringing me if she had any queries. The quote was competitive compared with others and after pick up from Toronto the shipment was in the UK and ready for delivery within 48 hours. Would highly recommend

Cannot recommend them less. It is just about the worst option you have when moving items from the US to the UK. The staff is almost criminally incompetent. They missed my pick-up twice despite setting up a time well in advance and kept me waiting for hours and then pretended that the driver had actually attempted to pick up items. I then paid a fine to my building to keep items in the apartment (on which the lease had run out) while these goons came a third time to pick up items. They the refused to acknolwedge the errors and pretended my door bell was out of order! Same drama on delivery. Forgot to give me key forms to fill that allows items to move through customs. So my cargo had to sit in the HRMC warehouses for weeks while I was chasing these guys on delivery before one of them thought about informing me of the paperwork. AVOID. at all costs. its not worth the headache to save 100-200 dollars and then deal with this team.

PS: Forgot to mention, one of the boxes was extremely poorly handled and had items missing. Cannot stress enough to avoid this service. They shouldnt be in business.

This company has a chaotic service and communication with a client. I paid for a air freight service last month to send my baggages from UK to HK and asked them to keep me updated with the shipment status from time to time . Unfortunately, they failed to do so. I had to send them emails myself for a few times before getting any reply from them. And clearly, the staff there did not have a single clue of where my shipment was when i asked. As I was told, the air freight service has a time frame of 7 - 14 working days. It took them 3 weeks to dispatch my shipment from the warehouse. I called them a few times but they gave too many excuses such as it is difficult to locate my baggages as the warehouse is being renovated or there might be a misunderstanding or miscommunication between staffs in the company etc. I am very disappointed with all of their "explanations" for their failure to dispatch and deliver my baggages on time. Upon arrival of my baggages in HK, they sent me an agent to contact. However, they gave me a wrong agent to contact and it took them 3 days to find the correct agent for me. I have been worrying about my baggages all the time and I did once think this is a fraud. This is really ludicrous. At last I had to stay send them over emails and phone calls over 10 times in order to obtain the correct agent contact details. It took me 29 days to get my baggages at last.

The worst customer service you could receive. AVOID!!
Firstly they deliver me the wrong boxes and I wasted a whole day waiting for boxes to be delivered. The delivery guy was working for Anglo Pacific strangely and not Excess International. When I went to voice my complaint and concern, instead of apologising, they didn't care and this coming from the Manager as well. Don't waste your time. They will hound you to book (constant phone calls, emails) with them and once they think they have got you booked in with a deposit, will give you zero customer service thereafter. They can't deliver the right boxes so I have hesitation with their ability to ship my goods across the world.

I can t fault the UK side of the service. However, if you are moving from the UK to the US, beware.

Their US contractor, Schumacher Cargo Logistics, is quite possibly the worst and most frustrating company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They will not contact me with any updates, and are unnecessarily delaying the arrival of our household goods. Customs was cleared two weeks ago and we still haven t got a delivery date.

Absolutely no urgency from either side in dealing with this, in spite of the fact that I told them our move in date was over a week ago. We are still stuck eating cereal with plastic cutlery since I refuse to go out and buy new pots and pans and silverware because of an American contractor s poor service and incompetence!

Positives - clear and prompt communication / very fast delivery from Canada to the UK

Negatives - In focusing on speed it seems they sacrificed care. I had 2 pictures in frames which were very well packaged. Not only did both shatter in transit but the package was thrown around so much that the shattered glass scratched the image underneath beyond repair. Afterwards I was informed no compensation was possible.

I have used this company 3 times to ship belonging...

I have used this company 3 times to ship belongings to Australia and have been extremely happy with the service each time. They communicated well, arranged to collect the items quickly and packed them so well that even delicate antique china all arrived in perfect condition!

I am currently on day 2 of waiting for my items to...

I am currently on day 2 of waiting for my items to be collected for shipping. They gave me a window between 7am-6pm for Tuesday 26/7/2016 and nobody turned up. Nobody called to say they couldn't find the flat; nobody called to say they wouldn't be coming. They promised me collection TODAY (27/7/2016) and have since told me nobody was home...except I've been sitting in my front room watching the door and nobody has even turned up. Moving overseas is stressful enough without this adding to it.

Used Excess Int back in 2012 when relocating from London to Melbourne (about half a container - 2 bedroom apartment's worth of possessions) and it's not until recently and once again moving interstate that I realized how good a company they were to move my belongings. So I thought I'd write a review for a great experience even though it's delayed. The booking process via Judyta and the crew that came to box everything was slick, impressed at the speed of packing. The quality of the materials is excellent. I am still using the double walled boxes with the current move years later (and have lent them out for friend's use) and other quality paper to re-wrap bed parts etc. The purpose built box for the mirror and tv, money well spent. All our things arrived without issue after clearing customs, no damage. Cost was very reasonable considering just moving interstate here is expensive. I really don't like packing and moving having done it quite a few times now but I believe this company did a great job at it and if I had to move overseas again would definitely use again.

I cannot recommend Excess Int. Movers highly enough. The team who packed our belongings, including very fragile and old antiques, were efficient, incredibly thorough, but most importantly, they cared. We were moving to Myanmar and Excess' contact are the best in the country and they too provided an efficient and careful delivery of all our belongings.

I paid for insurance (several hundred ) and had several items broken. When I raised it to them, they told me I should have unpacked over 20 boxes on an international move with kids within 48 hours and should have let them know. This makes no sense and they didn't even give me a heads up on that. In addition to that, the company charged me extra for insurance on extra item value that I didn't sign for. Absolutely unprofessional

Shocking Experience! They ignored a hole in the container roof, taped over the same hole with their own tape and then deny responsibility. Huge mess and not penny from them as yet.

Shoddy business and there customer care is non existent.

Would avoid using this company.

A terrible experience .

A terrible experience .
We had them quite for our move to Australia.
They measured and calculated everything in our house and assumed that they would need to breakdown the furniture and re build when it was delivered to our address in Oz .

Instead of breaking it down they packed it whole in the container and low and behold it took up more space . Upon its arrival in Australia we were held to ransom to pay over $1000 or they would continue to hold our furniture and our car which was also shipped.

We tried to reason with them and explain that it was their fault that the space issue had a risen but they had our goods and demanded the money , which we eventually paid them .

An absolute rip off mob that I would 100% avoid .

I personally have had the best experience with this company and so happy I trusted them with my most precious items!! The most efficient service of communication, all issues solved in less than 30 minutes. I would use this company over and over again!! 5 star service !!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!
I organised shipping of 4 suitcases from the US to the UK which was meant to take 7 days and after all their mistakes took 4 weeks.
Firstly, they failed to pick up on some information I accidentally missed on the shipping forms they gave me.
Secondly, they failed to deal with the fact that the value of my goods meant I needed a tax ID in the US. This meant that after my goods were collected, they were sent back to where they were collected from a week later as Excess could not provide them with this.
They had to make changes to my forms to arrange another collection. They then forgot to give the new forms to DHL. The cases were almost sent back. Again! I had to send them to DHL myself after DHL contacted me directly a number of times. The lack of communication between DHL & Excess was embarrassing.
The cases were eventually shipped to the UK and then waited in a warehouse for a week before making it to me. Excess stopped communication with me completely. I eventually got a call from DHL saying they needed further information to ship the cases which I had already provided to Excess and they had failed to pass on.
They gave me no refund for all their mistakes and complete lack of organisation. Avoid at all costs!!

Not similar to earlier reviews, I have to say that employees are completely useless, incompetent and lie. They are so bad that we did not even get to booking with them.
Following the quote, with all details provided by me, including the date, we discussed over the phone. They asked me for the date of the pick up, checked on the computer and confirmed we are all good to proceed. 7 days later while trying to pay, i was informed they don't work on Sundays which was the day we confirmed over the phone and on the quote. Long story short she was unable to do anything to find a date or time that works, especially having lost the deadline to get parking restrictions.



It's not worth your trouble.

Links (Excess's Hong Kong Associates) did a first rate and efficient job of packing up my belongings to send them back to the UK.
Excess was kind enough to keep these stored for two years until I was ready to house them here. Their fees for storage were reasonable and fair.
When I received the items they were in good condition, so clearly they had been kept in appropriate storage.
All the people I dealt with at Excess were friendly and helpful.
If ever I need International Removals again, my first point of call would be Excess.
