It has an incredible view of downtown, especially when it is late at night because it is illuminated. The menu has a bit high prices for the quality of the dishes. The attention was very friendly.

It has been years since I went here. My husband and I celebrated his birthday and our anniversary together. The weather was suppose to be cold outside but the rain didn't help with my idea of outside dining. Still overall a gorgeous view. Great service from Jorge who was very attentive and nice enough to move us inside qhen he noticed I was get cold from the rain blowing our direction. Food was hands down delicious. We had the platter for two with a few extra sides. Flavorful, fresh tasting, and an explosion of just pure awesomeness. Highly recommend getting the Poached alonster Rolls to start off. The Sirens Song went well with everything and very strong, a perfect drink for my taste. Highly recommend going here for some quality seafood.

Had the grilled octupus for appetizer and the Chilean sea bass for dinner. Both dishes were very good. The food along with the spectacular view made for a great dinner.

You can't beat the views here and the food was some of the best I have had in Miami. Being from Pittsburgh we don't get a lot of high quality seafood so when I took my first bite of the sea bass I was in heaven. The fish was perfectly cooked and had amazing flavor. I also enjoyed the key lime pie and the excellent service

Had been trying to find this place and how to get there since before the plandemic. We were fortunate to find on this trip and visited yesterday before heading back to the airport. The view was lovely, service awesome and food was very tasty. We ordered in this order: Dry Martinis (with dirty on the side), Blue Point Oysters, Atlantic Salmon Sashimi, grilled Snapper Fish Tacos and the Dulce de Leche Volcano - didn't see on the menu, but unique to the restaurant, with two Cappuccinos. Was delish...the best salmon sashimi we ever had. The only reason I didn't give it a five is because the bartender shook the martinis with the dry vermouth in the mix instead of coating the glass and out (in and out or "don't bruise the vermouth". Dry vermouth overpowers the vodka and ruins the flavor - but in defense of the bartender, that is almost becoming a lost art. I hope all bartending schools and teachers at bars be sure to carry on this tradition for those who appreciate the flavor of the product ordered. Kind of like putting mayonnaise sauce on sushi. Will certainly be back as our server Claudia promised she would remember how to make a dry martini. :)

I made a reservation for a special event, but I was treated very rudely and hostilely by the girl who is the host of this incredible place, so I decided to make my event somewhere else for this lady's bad service, you should take note of this ! that damages the image of a beautiful restaurant

For the price, the service 9n a Sunday was not good and neither was the food. Our food was brought out after the table next to ours. This table arrived about 30 mins after us and had about 8 people. Our table had 3 people and we still got served after them. Our waitress must have placed our order late.

It was a nice experience for me for the first time. I never thought all of my favorite foods will be served this quick with their chef. I couldn't ask for more! I won't forget to tell all of my relatives and co-workers about this superior restaurant for sure. Thumbs up!

i loved the food and the view but i could see that the employees were overwhelmed and weeded. i was a server 10 years ago, so i am more forgiving than most people. i'm now a regional manager for a multi-brand dining corporation, where i oversee seven restaurants. i am not being critical but this restaurant could use some help. our server, an afro-latina named kiana had hazel eyes when she greeted us, but as time went on her eyes appeared gray. out of curiosity i asked what color are her eyes and she said her eyes change colors. i am sure the color change was due to stress. she was extremely nice/sweet/charming, and the food is great, but the bad staffing is a killer. the restaurant expects too much multi tasking from the servers. i did not want to offend our server by asking but i wonder if they are understaffed when it comes to food runners, service bartenders, and bussers. they certainly need runners to help them with their food and drinks. the service seems entirely too slow and it was not our server's fault.

The people at the ambience were wonderful but the food, that s all good. Arrive there late Wednesday evening and found out the service was very slow and the food not good at all. Ordered fish but had to return it because the taste was so bland Got some steak but it took very long to get it to the table and I found that it was also bland because they didn t seem to have any gravy or garnish on the plate; also, the best potatoes were cold. I have been to this restaurant several times and I ve always recommended it to my friends but I will no longer do that. Although the food and service lacked appreciatively, the high price was maintained.

About the worst service we have experienced. I asked waiter for menu he had in his hand. He refused. Was scolded for not checking in with hostess who had left post for 15+ minutes. When we left, there were well over a dozen patrons waiting for 20 minutes, though the restaurant was less than half full. No one picked up check after we ate.

highly recommended. If you go to Miami you must go. Make your reservation. The place is somewhat expensive. The menu is interesting although it is not from another world but the view you have of the bay makes up for it

Gorgeous place, amazing view if you get the patio day time or at night, you get the city light view by the bay.

Servers dressed well and professional, our waitress was wonderful. Although she got a hard time to say no to us.

The promotion was buy 1 entree, got 1 appetizer FREE. We glanced down the menu. We want Surf & Turf. NOPE, not available, second entree, NOT available. So you purposely forcing guests to order the pizza to get a free appetizer. Now that's not cool!

What would you promote something when half of the entree are not available?

The Octopus Empanada came in 2 pieces, dried and I say SKIP IT!

The Oxtail taco cake 2 pieces, looked nothing like the pretty photos I saw on Yelp/IG. I tried to fold it to eat and the tortilla broke. It was too hard! I wonder why people praise about this? Poor quality of food and tortilla!

The pizza was the best of all and it was mediocre at best!

The cocktail was ok for $14 but nothing to praise about!

Come for the view and skip the food!

Customer service is really good. Beautiful view. Food awsome. Here is the problem, the floor in some areas was cracked and I almost tripped on it. This is really dangerous for customers. There was like a carpet trying to protect the cracked floor but this carpet was flipped and made things worst. I would recommend rusty pelican to get this fixed asap or you would end up having some lawsuits.

Love going here for happy hour to enjoy the amazing view, good food and drinks but the service needs some major improvement. Too many employees to have to wait for a long time to be helped or to constantly be having to flag someone down to get your order, specially when they weren't even that full. The service is the only thing that needs a major change.

Buyer be aware... Don't expect to be compensated for bad service at this place. I have been going to this restautant for over 20 years, customers used to be special, now management has lost course, last visit although food came 1.5 hrs after ordered, all the manager did was come up with a list of well rehearsed laughable excuses with little customer service expertise, in case they haven't heard, in the restaurant business, when you mess up big on a couple of hundred $$ meal for two, first you accept the problem and at least treat your customer to a beer to make time to solve the problem on hand and make them feel welcomed, it is clear tourist business is all they want, they don't want my business, will miss the view, let's see if they can survive with the one time tourist customers only... Have to say the waiter was ok, manager not at the expected level.

Food wasn't good. Service was even worse. It took 20 minutes to be greeted, then took another hour and half for the food. We had to get up and get our own drinks. Manager Devin was very nice and took charge. Beautiful view of downtown...but probably wouldn't go back

The worst of Miami. 2 hours of waiting for a table having made a reservation 5 days in advance. A loud and drunken atmosphere that spoils dinner for anyone. You just want to leave the site as soon as possible. So overprice for what it is, $ 150 for a couple of drinks and a leg of octopus and fish and chips. 5 years in Miami and it is the first review that I write because of how negative everything has been. Went on a mini vacation, my date and I was looking for somewhere to have a nice dinner and ended up at the Rusty Pelican, the atmosphere was better than I could have imagined. My server was Chris and he was very knowledgeable pertaining to the menu and the surrounding areas, since we were just visiting Tampa for a short time. The food was impressive and that's from Brooklyn NY foodies...Would certainly make a detour just to have dinner there again... loved it!!!

Went for brunch on my birthday. It was a great time. The staff was super friendly and food was delicious. We had the octopus, calamari, burger and grouper sandwich. Everything came out perfect. (Brunch/lunch is much more affordable than dinner)

Miami bay view is spectacular.

Food prices are expensive for what you get.

Food is okay but no wow! Rusty Pelican should work on their food options.
Its Not the best seafood in Miami. You just pay for the amazing view.

Great place for tourist but Not great for locals that can find better seafood at a reasonable price without the view.
