Horrific customer services at the mechanics till. Was waiting for 5 minutes while a till training session was happening without being acknowledged by staff. Wanted a new spoke fitted to wheel and was told there was no space in workshop for three weeks but was given no referral to another store. Bad business bad attitude and arrogance in my opinion. Support the independent.

Just went to buy bike lights that were priced at 15 pounds. When I got to the counter I was told they were now 25 pounds and that their prices were constantly changing over the next two months. They then refused to sell me the lights at the price they were advertised at. I definitely wont be returning.

Some great service the last two times I've been in from the guys in the workshop!

Can't comment on the store / store guys - but those working in the workshop have been incredibly helpful and generous with their time, even with some other pushy customers being pretty rude.

Thanks for your help guys!

Alessio gave me a lot of help to make sure the frame of the specialized allez bike I was after was the right size for me (no matter how many test runs it took to make sure!), and took time to explain how the claris gears work. Very impressed by the customer service, and look forward to coming back to the store for check-ups and to buy extra kit when the time comes.

Haja and Tim at this branch of Evans were real lifesavers when someone attempted to steal my bike! I came into Evans to see if they could help to patch up my bike after someone tried to take off the back wheel. Haja and Tim were really friendly and helpful and had me back on the road in less than 20 mins, and all for free!

Really helpful store, I had loads of help from Jon who was kind enough to show me how to change my tyres without charging me for his service or patronising me. And very friendly! Would definitely recommend anytime.

I tried to call the shop 3 times about an order for a bike, no one answered. When I came to pick up my order they couldn t find the reference for it. It took them more than 30min to finally come back to say that the bike was there in a box. After that they couldn t find the bag that was part of my order. After more than 1.30hour in the shop, I finally got my order. What was meant to be an easy click and collect procedure turned out to be quite a painful experience. I don t recommend this shop for click and collect.

Got my hybrid from here a few tears ago.
Good selection of bikes including electric ones.
Like talking to the workshop staff who are good and help me out as I service my bike.
Sale on so picked up som thermal gear as it is starting to get really cold.
One point mind the steps when it is wet or icy to the basement as they can be quite treacherous
Good shop for cycling enthusiasts.

A complete and utter shambles. It's not so much the people, who are perfectly friendly, it's the process and management is shocking. The right people are never where they are supposed to be in the bike servicing area, they tell you one thing and something completely different happens, they rely too heavily on one or two people in the store that know what they are doing and who also seem to be a law unto themselves as a result, advice and evaluation of technical questions have been plain wrong - it's a complete shambles. I am just annoyed that I asked for Evans vouchers for my birthday from a number of people (as the store is close to work and I'm building a bike) because I can't now take my money elsewhere and am tied into spending this money in their shop.

Very bad service! Only one "mechanic" in the store or sometimes no one who can't even fix anything. Always very busy, if so, why don't they get another "mechanic" ? Bought a tire, didn't even put it on as the "mechanic" was too busy. Well More

simply outstanding service yesterday (thanks Danny! - Danilo R on the sales receipt). Late on a Friday afternoon, when the Mortimer street team could have been forgiven for starting to think about their weekends (I was!), Danny spent a considerable amount of time setting the bike up for me, more air in front fork, replacement grips, saddle height etc. He took time to show me how to properly attach the panniers to the rather unusual rack style of the Cube (I'd have struggled without it). Impeccable manners .Nothing was too much trouble. I'd also like to mention John who had called me to advise me that my bike was in stock and ready for a collection - a really pleasant call with all questions answered. I also witnessed another team member give an detailed walk through of how to fold a Brompton to a gentleman who was taking one for a demo. He wanted him to be confident before he left and , once again, took his time. I also witnessed a mechanic wiping his steel work top down with alcohol to make sure that it was clean for the next job. If only my local VW dealer took as much care! Great work Danny!! I greatly appreciated your calm efficiency and patience. I have to make a detour to visit Mortimer Street, but I'll never go anywhere else. 5 Stars all round!

Just rung up to find out something about stock availability and the young gentlemen on the other end of the phone was very rude and couldn't wait to hang up. I was very polite in the process!! not what you want from a store that is meant to be the biggest in London, Unhappy customer, will be shopping elsewhere after being here loads of times to buy things.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I went in knowing very little about cycling shoes and wanted some for my spin classes. Andy's knowledge and helpfulness was second to none. He helped me choose the right shoes and advised on what else I needed to get to make sure they were right for me. Andy even fixed the accessories on for me and showed me how to do it. Great service, patient, polite and very helpful. I will be back.

They sell a lot l of gear needed to maintain a bike which is the only reason to go to this shop. The staff are beyond rude, and extremely unhelpful. Having watched how they treat me compared to how they treat male customers is disgusting. It s a boys club with little no patience for women. Having had staff openly tut at me beside THEY didn t listen to me, is exceptionally frustrating. Honesty do not bother with this shop unless you enjoy waiting around for ages whilst they do god knows what.

Went in for my first cleats, shoes and pedals. Jon was really helpful and didn't mind that I knew absolutely nothing. Then when I was on the turbo checking the cleats, he suggested moving my saddle and handlebars a bit which felt like a much better riding position. Great experience - will be my go-to from now on.

Popped in and couldn't find exactly what I wanted but there was a 'very nearly ideal' item which I left on the rail intending to find an alternative colour online when I got home. Couldn't remember what it was called, couldn't find it online but John very patiently went to look through the rails until he found it. Thank you and also to the guy upstairs who tried too.

The service is superb. My past few visits to this Evans were all very pleasant, my needs all addressed by very helpful members of staff, but Tuesday was a game changer. Steve and Tim not only helpfully pointed out the defects of my very old bike, but also made adjustments to the bike so that it would still be safe for the roads. I was also offered to help choose a new bike should I need it. Great experience with this shop overall, very glad to have it close to work. Thanks guys.

Keen to be more self-sufficient with my lovely new bike, I did the FixIt course with Jon today - very approachable friendly guy, really helpful, clearly knows his stuff but he made time to explain everything clearly, and made sure we all got plenty out of the session.
He talked me through the tool kit I've been carrying around as well. Well worth the time & money to ask those daft questions about your bike & find out what you should be attempting yourself & what you should be leaving to the experts!

Absolute saviours! Cycling into central from Fulham one Saturday, my chain broke round Russell Square. Went to about 6 bike shops: condor, cycle fix, sold private ones. Anyway, they all said either their mechanic wasn t in, or it would take all day. Step in Lee, think that s his name, who sorted the chain and the bike out. Absolute legend, forever grateful.

Was there to help my friend to change rear light as it was faulty when she tried to install it. As she misplaced her receipt after registering for warranty. The stuff refused to help me send for repair as they think that I may have swapped the item and the long story goes on. I told them warranty is limited already and we do not frequent to London, he just says he can't help. Gosh.... Purposely made a trip down to the outlet he didn't even make a point to check if my friend was a genuine buyer or offer alternatives. Disappointed!! No wonder the shop was empty on a Friday...

Ten years ago I decided not to visit Evans Cycles anymore after feeling really disappointed with Spitafields customer service at that time. By chance, I visited a different store (Mortimer St) in Nov 2018 with no intention of buying anything. However, from the moment I got in there I was surprised with the attention provided by their personnel. They were extremely helpful and took the time to go through different options and sizes with me. I ended up buying a Cannondale Synapse Alloy Disc 105 2019 Women's Road Bike and so far, very happy with the bike and their constant support the next couple of times I visited the shop. I d highlight that Jon, Alexander and Tim are very keen to help and have the charisma to make you feel an important customer. Good service was key for me to change my mind and consider buying from Evans Cycles again. I'd recommend this shop. Thanks.

Extremely poor service*** i purchased a bike in Ma...

Extremely poor service*** i purchased a bike in May online and it broke the very next day. I took it into my local branch in Mortimer street London and left the bike with them. After 1 months of hearing nothing i passed by the store and was told they were still awaiting replacement parts, another month passed and i visited the store again and was told the parts have arrived and that the bike is in a queue to be fixed within the 2 days and that i would hear from the workshop when done. Each visit there was no apology for lack of transparency or communication, i was repeatedly told 'we are manic right now' Two weeks later i received an email form the workshop telling me the bike was ready for collection. Today is the 11/08/2020, 3 months after the date i put the bike in and i went today to collect the bike. Upon arrival the workshop manager, Marino, was extremely rude, not only was the bike not ready, they hadnt even started work on the bike. Marino not once apologised for the situation instead told me that he is an extremely busy man and that he didnt have time to deal with me today. Totally and utterly bemused i asked Marino when the bike might be ready and why i had received an email telling me the bike had finally been fixed and infact work hadnt even be started. I was told that by Marino that he would fix the bike when he gets round to it on his time and that he was not in the mood to speak to unhappy customers such as me. I cannot think of any occasion i was spoken to as a customer in such a manner, i will be taking this case to the highest levels within Evans Cycles and my advice would be to avoid this company at all costs

One of the bigger Evans in London with a wide selection and helpful staff. Everything from bikes to accessories.

Was a bit surprised that they were unwilling to place a special order for a long drop rear brake caliper for my girl friend's bike since they carry it on their website. The sales person / mechanic was still helpful and recommended another shop in the area that stocks long drop brake calipers.

The Notting Hill branch couldn't service and fix a puncture for a week as they were so busy I tried the West End shop. Extremely hard to get hold of on the phone which didn't bode well. When reached the mechanic said i could walk in and bike wouldn't take long to service and repair. Arrived at 18:30, small queue in front of me and they were fixing punctures while you wait so each customer taking 10-15 minutes. I was waiting for one hour by the time i served. Only one mechanic working on the walk in jobs, due to others being away. He was doing his best. A few ppl came in to pick up bikes so I let them jump the queue, when i was served i decided to let them keep my bike and i'd get it later. The people behind me appreciated that. Picked it up the next day - all good. Waiting an hour didn't really bother me that much the previous day. It made me wonder if we should get used to this type of service in a Post-Brexit Britain.

I have had a new Pinnacle Neon one bike for 3 months.
In this time the brakes were sticking and making an awful clicking noise. Possibly as the additional mudguards weren't fitted probably when purchased.

I had to go into Evans three times to ask the staff to tweak the brakes and each time I felt patronised and they were very reluctant. Still not fixed. These issues shouldn't occur so soon. I have also had two punctures in the last week but will be taking it elsewhere to be repaired.

I have been much more welcomed and impressed by the staff at the new Halfords Cycle Surgery on Margaret Street. Other independents in the area seem overpriced.

Really unhappy with one of the mechanics at this store , he refused to repair my bike on the basis that he felt my bike was not league due to having no brakes on the back , I explained that I was unable to get home due to no chain, but he refused to continue with my repair, I felt this was Unnecessary , and only reinforced my opinion of Evans Cycles being over priced, very unhelpful, and not as warm as some local bike shops, I won t be returning again.

Absolutely ridiculous customer service. Came in the evening, waited half an hour to be able to speak to somebody. The process took so long (2 hours) that I had to come back another evening to finalize the purchase - at which point I was left to wait well over an hour again. Two evenings consumed, the bike wasn t as specified and not single attempt to apologize. Nobody was ever interested in taking my questions (regarding the size of the frame, the fit of the helmet) seriously. I left rather angry.
