Very good day. A busy one but enjoyable. Very friendly and enthusiastic staff which is always good
Very good day. A busy one but enjoyable. Very friendly and enthusiastic staff which is always good
Better than Thorpe park. More child friendly. Unfortunately no halal food places
Chessington is such an amazing and lovely place. Where else can you go to a theme park and a zoo?!
Ticket prices are a good deal when booking online. Easy to get to via public transport, such a great day out
Lots of fun things to do. My girls had fun, and since it was end of season the good news was: no crowds, bad news: cold and wet.
A bit lackluster. Too many people being let in for the park to manage under the current restrictions. Wait times for rides were over an hour for most of the rides on a Wednesday. Rides breaking down all day, further extending the waits. The queues for food were just as long as the rides. Many of the zoo animals were alone and looked depressed and miserable. Made the kids sad. Probably wouldn't return.
Is it a an a zoo / wildlife park or a theme park either way does both things bad. Also parking is on a slopped grass field, so if raining and have a rear wheel car no chance going up as slide everywhere had fall out with some young person telling me I had to park at the the top or leave I said I can't get up I tried 3 times only to slide and said I'm parking else where call security like you said and I found a flat place.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially in the monkey enclosure. Plenty of smiles and were ready to listen
50 minutes just to get in, very slow queues in the park. Felt very sorry for the staff we spoke to who were unsupported and were left in the blazing sun with no shade while wearing hot masks. The operator of The Cobra said he felt ill with the heat. Rides are massively understaffed and could operate much more efficiently with an additional person on each. They've reduced entry numbers but also the number of rides, and queues are now slower than ever (many well over 60 minutes and with very little shade). COVID19 safety measures are appalling. They are so understaffed they cannot maintain distancing in the queues and they aren't cleaning the rides between riders nor insisting people use sanitiser before they get on. The number of sanitiser units across the park was pathetic. This means in the boiling heat person after person is going on a ride with sweaty hands and touching the uncleaned surface one after another. One enormous Petri dish in reality. I own an ice cream shop, after every customer tables are sanitised, if a one man band can do it you would think Merlin could manage it. In 2.5 hours my son went on one roller coaster and my daughter the Dodgem cars twice. Decided to cut our losses and come home. Won't be rushing back.
Love taking the kids here to let them run around and tire themselves out.
Great for the kids with loads of toilets and restaurants. The rides were great fun but aiming mainly at children. Heights restrictions on most of the rides but still a few toddlers. Easy to park and not too expensive overall. Great fun.
Brilliant fun for all ages defo recommend to take your family
Rides are enjoyable and fun. Could do with some more healthy food but is still ok. Good theme park for all ages.
Always a fantastic day out, been many many times, never disappointed. 1 piece 9f advice always book online as it's much cheaper and you get some great deals for game tickets, meals and other good money saving tips
It is a lovely place but we could make only 5 rides for the whole day. Imagine how the kids got bored of staying in a queue that they were begging me to leave and go back to home...Zoo Safari took us 150 minutes to go for it. There was no queue shorter than 60-70 minutes. A total nightmare...
If you decide to go for it, please ensure to go with a bag full of snack and food....at least it might help killing a time while waiting
I would recommended to get into the theme park at sharp 10:00 am as the park closes at 5 pm which is just a limited time considering the queue time at few rides.
Theme Park, Zoo & SEA LIFE centre. - 10am to 5pm
Closing time is last ride entry.
The Chessington park closes at 6 pm.
Brave Rides recommended for Adults, which also has strict height restriction, refer the park photo for exact height.
1. Kobra
2. Monkey Swinger (a jet of spray of water)
3. Dragon's Fury
4. Vampire
5. Rameses Revenge (you will get wet especially in front row.)
6. Rattlesnake (is very jerky ride)
7. Tiger rock (a bit of spray of water)
FastTrack
There are fasttrack counters available in the Theme park from which tickets for individual rides or a bunch of rides can be bought.
There are plenty of food options available in the park including vegan and unlimited fizzy drink options.
There are 2 days tickets also available, do consider it before buying as the park is very huge.

Traffic is very busy on leatherhead road once park shuts but it its a really good family friendly park
Long que times and they did not match the estimated times by any stretch of the imagination. A few rides closed too!
We as a family really enjoyed the park, food and drink over priced but that's always the way at places like this. Queues for rides were long unless you brought a fast track.
Enjoyed it much more than I'd expected. Obviously kids loved it but rides were fun for adults too. some of the food options were good and the whole park is compact so not miles of walking round between rides.
Great day out with the kids. Best to go in the Spring or Autumn when the animals are in the zoo and the rides aren't quite so busy
Great day out, would have been five stars if we hadnt had to que two hours for the vampire
Everything thought of, rides excellent and staff genuinely friendly and helpful
Nice place. Just you have remember that your Kids have to be over one meter height for more atractions.
Great fun for family and kids. Bad note was exit barrier gate didnt recognise the exit token so had to pay twice to exit the park.
Everything was closed and all the animals were shut away, should have informed us before attending as we had prebooked, waste of absolute time
Lively resort. Perfect for day off with kids. Wild animals as monkeys, zebras around. Close to Chessington world of adventures park.
We love it as its great place for a young family enjoy the animals as well as plenty of rides
Great variety of rides for all ages, queues moved quickly from carpark to main entrance. The only downside is the long long queues for rides, which of course is normal for theme parks, and fast track tickets are in timeslot far ahead and are very popular so you may have to wait hours before you can get on a ride anyway.
Had such a lovely day at Chessington! Really enjoyed all the rides and seeing all the animals! Can't wait to come back
Good for the younger kids, although everything seems a bit old and tired. Not worth the costly entrance fees.
Amazing theme park. We loved the food outlet not dogs! Park is very clean. Lots to do with little ones as well as older kids and adults. I recommend staying at the hotel as you get another day at the park!
Good day out, we went on the Sunday which we found that the queues for each ride was about 10 minutes wait. Really need two days there as it has the sealife centre and zoo plus the theme park alot to do in just a day. Very nice layout everything close by not like Alton towers where it's miles apart. The gruffolo river ride was brilliant the kids had games etc to do whilst in the queue which was a god send thank you Chessington . You get a little wet on this ride. Room on the broom is not a ride it's just a walk through the beginning was excellent animation was really good. But I felt rushed and couldn't really take it in . It would of benefit by being like a ghost train instead which could then seat more passengers instead of 10 people running around and rushing to the next room . And thanks to the guy who works there who couldn't help me and was unwilling to help me in the tiger land area when my daughter wanted to go on the tiger bus there no price on it.? I put money in and did not work either ? So beware of both the unhelpful dude and tiger bus.
Kids loved the place, the youngest even sobbing not wanting to leave. The mixture of zoo and theme park really works. The Azteca hotel and restaurant for those choosing to stay was excellent too. We found the app useful too. The only disappointment for the youngsters was we didn't actually see a tiger in The Land of the Tiger!
We went this time last year and got on more rides than we did this weekend when numbers were meant to be limited. Toilets were disgusting and left a review in them.
I had my 4 month old with me and the baby changing was just as bad as the toilets. You would think with the current pandemic that tge places which are meant to help stop the spread would be kept clean themselves.
I understand that its a new system however i would have thought that these things should have been looked into.
120mins wait per ride average. Staff at most restaurants really don't have a clue on what they are doing, loaded fries took around 30mins from order, 50% of staff don't seem bothered in doing actual work and attitude needs work, in comparison to USA parks we have some serious catching up to do on customer service side, maybe hiring teenagers is not a good idea..
Kids had great fun much better for the little ones now
Takes too long for the rides, there was a problem with one of the rides in which we had waited 90 minutes for. At the end of the day we had only gotten on 2 rides. We had a fast track ticket but despite that we ended up in the same queue as everyone else. Would not recommend this place at all.
Awesome place. Good prices and all staff are very friendly.
Lovely theme to the hotels. Room was big, spacious and comfortable and although themed to the safari feel it was not over the top or in your face. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was lush!
Great place to take a family, lots to do, fun rides, happy looking animals. All of the staff I spoke with were very friendly and happy to help.
Kids loved it, tiger ride most wanted with long questions but height restrictions if u have younger ones..
Took my children aged between 5-9yrs to Chessington for the day and it was a massive success. Took advance of their online fast track deals and made the day go smoothly. Found the Chessington App very useful when you couldn t make sense of the paper maps provided, the app gave walking directions from your location (although don t forget this incurs data usage) however staff were all really helpful & make sure to bring rainwear just incase you get caught out, oh and ziplock bags for your mobile phones for wet rides etc, all round fab day out for everyone
Virtually all the rides were open and fully functional.Queues were reasonable for a bank holiday.
Fun and Magical Place for all. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants some fun and a laugh.
Great fun with kids. But think they need something that will make people return again and again as we had been on all rides, not sure if we will return again very soon though maybe in some time.
Great family friendly theme park with plenty of attractions and thing to see and do. A must to stay in the hotel for the early access to the park.
Good attraction. Plenty to do rides and zoo. Food is nice
All good until car park barriers stopped working and we couldn't get out
Amazing stay here. Couldn t fault it. Had breakfast on the terrace looking at the animals.
Services day unfortunately rained and a good number of rides closed. Received a comp ticket to go back free which was a nice gesture. Impossible to come close to doing all the attractions due to queue times. 20mins displayed easily becomes 50mins+ wait. Best to come during school term times mid week.
Lines are too long and not worth it. Everything is a bit too expensive but the rides that do not have long lines are either made for toddlers or are semi-hidden like the scorpion express. Or even are a bit too short.
Great day out...lots of fun...zoo was great...theme park was great...and santa was excellent for the kiddies...well done Chessington...
Good place to visit with family. I would recomend to pay for car park while buying ticket. Not really clear how to pay for it.During busy period it is good to buy fast track.
Was there at the weekend... had an amazing 2 days with wife and kids. There were rides for my teens and plenty rides and stuff to do for my 5 year old. Big queues tho but having ordered (tickets/foodvouchers) online made things so much easier. Friendly and helpful staff throughout the park, easy access to food and themes. Will Definitely visit again! Thank you Chessington for an amazing time
Not worth value for money. Less rides for small kids and long queues for elder kids.
Purchased a two for one deal through National Rail, did as instructed to get to the gates for the tickets to show as Invalid - managed to smooth it over with the staff and get in. The Vampire ride broke down, the Dragon coaster broke down, Rameses revenge was shut for maintenance as was the Tiger log flume and almost every single ride at the park said "this ride is closed" rather than the truth which was that it was open and had no queue.
As for the rides, when they worked, they were good. Dated, but good. I would recommend this park to someone with small children as the zoo and sea life centre were small and amusing. the Staff were also good in keeping us informed with breakdowns and all appeared happy in what they were doing.
Took my sister and her kids! Was awesome and so much for all ages none of the kids got bored.
We spent really good time in there perfect combination of mini zoo, sea life and a lot of rides.
Great day out. Amazing experience for the kids. Consistently Rude and grumpy staff.
Great place if you don't mind the waiting to get on the rides.
Very dated and rides are mostly for small children.
Good fun day out don't want to recommend to highly but have too get down there for a great family day out
Lots of fun for the family. Good rides. Some staff could smile even if it is occasionally
Great experience! There are rides suitable for every age. Such a fun day out! It's a great place for everyone and an awsome family trip. Though I recommend taking a packed lunch because the food can be a tad expensive. There are great shows and cute animals like penguins and squirrel monkeys. If you haven't been yet you definitely should!
Very busy. Think too many people were let in. 80/90min waits for all top rides and at least 60 for the kids ones . Not fun for all the family! Disappointed as my daughter wanted to go on a roller-coaster for the first time and even the fast track had an hour before you could use it and a 30min wait after!!
Not the theme park it was 10-15 years ago. Caters more to young families than thrill seekers. Food is hella expensive!!!
Great Monday to Friday during the week when kids are at school
Long queue to get in as they take everyone's temperature beforehand, but it did move along fairly quickly. Some rides were 75 mins wait but average was 30-45 mins. Overall it was fun and we had a good day.
Lovely theme park, lots of rides for younger children as well as older children, we had a wonderful day, parking is an issue or should I say trying to get out off your parking space, everyone is parked to close to each other.
Great day out
Rides are poorly sign posted
Queues were excessive and fast passes were not available to purchase on the day
Terrible customer service heavily inaccurate que times displayed on apps and signs out of service rides constant break downs cant really say much better about the place took my 4 year old niece and even she only got on 5 kiddie rides
good theme park with rides for all ages and things to do. even has a nice aquarium. we got to feed the seals as well which was a nice treat
Looking more and more tired these days. Queue times in school holidays are horrendous, and although there are good deals on ticket prices - Fast track passes are hugely expensive if there are 4 of you... much better value if you can go outside school holidays. Thorpe Park much better for rides.
This place is good for family with rides, zoo, animal shows. there are different restaurants in. make sure you check if some rides are open before you come in. There is also a hotel inside perfect for family who wants to stay overnight.
Way too busy. Too much time wiring and standing around. Not sign posted well enough . Would not go again unless on a non school day.
Always great fun here. I would say aged 2-13yrs. Our boys have been going for years. They are 10 & 12 and are still enjoying it. Great Bbq Restaurant there now. Plenty of toilets. A lovely green space too for picnics. Parking must be payed for. Could do with fixing it as basically fields.
An amazing adventure, loved it so much and the kids to
visited a while back, me and my partner had a great day and should be visiting agian in the next week or so. the place is obviously a kids dream but its great for adult days out too we purchased tickets online before hand to save money and time when we got there we purchased a bundle so we had our meal and refillable drinks including a photo wrist band for unlimited photos on rides which are digital downloads. lines were long but not ridiculous. the place is amazing only down fall for us was the refillable cups kept breaking and some places you fill up at the fizzy drink were flat. food was basic like cardboard next time I'll bring my own and not bother with the drink either as there a pain to carry round with you.
but trust that didn't reck our day your be to bizzy to care about stuff like that we felt like big kids it was amazing.
Always a great day out for all the family, great staff and facilities. Been going for years now and never disappointed.
Been on Tiger VIP experience today so great to see how the tigers are treated behind the scenes and must say chessington zoo has gone all out for the tigers.
Queues queues and more queues. Far too busy in the main rides. Nowhere near enough staff on for a busy Bank Holiday holiday. 1 bar staff on at everybar with multiple queues of people. Very few healthy food options in the park but the buffet breakfast and the buffet dinner were good (if a bit overpriced).
Fourth year here eldests birthday. The app makes it a lot easier and upgrading the car park made it a lot easier experience.
The safety wasn't really as safe as we expected. Especially queing up to see the gorillas. We had to all wait which was fine but until we went in to see them there was a crowd. They needed staff inside the hall to see how congested it was full of people. That was my only disappointment. I know its a challenge for the guys but felt like they just hire kids who don't take these things seriously
Staff were all in PPE and were extremely helpful. The rides were amazing and we had a great experience on rides we'd never been on before.
The zoo animals looked quite sad apart from the monkeys, this may be because there was only 1 animal (we could see) in the enclosures!
