I usually buy from Evans online but this time i broke a chain on my way home and a very nice gentle guy in the service center was very kind to fix my chain for free. So a big thank you for saving my 15 miles journey.
Had a problem with my gears, they were stuck on a low setting. Mechanic fixed it in two minutes, free of charge! And with a smile. Top work, thank you.
The guys in store are OK but the company is super inflexible and difficult mainly due to their rigid IT systems I think. Very expensive compared to smaller independent bike shops. I would've gone elsewhere but I had a ride to work voucher. I noticed that locks were 50% more expensive here than at decathlon which they said their "price match" policy did not apply to.
Martino P in the workshop provided fantastic service today, when I turned up unannounced with a puncture in the Brompton's front tyre. Great while you wait service and 15 minutes later I was back on my way. Thank you Martino you are a great ambassador for Evans Cycles..

I needed an urgent repair around 6.15pm, last Thursday. Couldn't be done I was told. I walked to Soho Bikes (Berwick Street) and there is was fixed in 15 mts.
Helpful staff, although, there are other bike shops with better stock of parts and accessories.

Don't bother trying to call them. You wait for ages. Sometimes they pick up and sometimes they just put the phone down. If you need to talk to a mechanic, forget it. I have been trying for a week to one question answered.

Amazing experience in this Evans Store. Had a flat tyre and with limited experience struggled to do the change myself. Dan came out of no where to offer assistance even when shop was closed. He fitted it perfectly, talked me through PSIs and even looked at other mechanical issues on my bike. I will certainly be using this as my main Evans store and Dan is a credit to the company.

I d really recommend hiring some staff for your shop.
Technicians are knowledgable and friendly but staff seem very poorly organised and communication between staff is worse than non-existent. Have used this Evans Cycles store a few times but would recommend one of the other bike stores on the same corner. I have had to wait for long periods despite making reservations and have had to return once when they installed something incorrectly and forgot to install something else.
Thank you for helping fix my inner tube and showing me the correct technique. Great shop, and I've barely had to queue during corona pandemic which is great (and very different to the Clapham branch)

Had a loose chain and passed by so I popped in to see if they could squeeze me in for a quick fix - literally just tightening an eccentric bottom bracket. Both of the staff I spoke to, including the mechanic, were useless. Laid back, unable to help and apparently unwilling to even suggest that I book in for the next day or anything like that. Fair enough they didn't have workshop time at short notice like that but when asked if they could help I'd expect a bit more of a response than "No we can't".
Contrast that with the fantastic, friendly extra-mile service I always get at Cycle Surgery and Look Mum No Hands and to be frank I'd sooner walk the 5 miles home with the bike slung on my shoulder than visit Evans again.
Amazing assistance and service from Dan! Wanted to go tubeless for a long time now and Dan managed to handle everything within a short timeframe on a busy Sunday. Attention to detail is top-notch as far as my experience goes so definitely going back for my servicing needs. Cheers to the Evans team.
The guys were extremely helpful when one of the two screws holding my saddle in place snapped, as I was going over a hump on my way to work. Jac replaced the screw within 5 minutes after I walked in, and didn t charge me at all. As I was leaving I remembered I had some chocolate biscuits in my rucksack and gave it to them. Very grateful

I went to this store to service my bike they told me they have to book me in for that so they gave me next day appointment. I went there next day at 10am, I was told I will get a call or an email when the bike is ready for pickup, but I waited whole day but didn't hear from them? So I went again at 5pm, and they told me they haven't even looked at my bike yet! I was so upset to receive such bad customer service and the person was rude as well, this ruined my whole days work as I couldn't go to work without my bike. I'm very disappointed!
Went to Evan's cycle a few weeks ago after getting a puncture in my back tire and the crew there couldn't have more helpful. Tim, one of the mechanics there, helped to bring my bike down to the workshop, let me in to the workshop to show me how to repair it myself and even fixed the handles on my pannier, which had come off. Just wanted to say a big thanks to Tim and all the guys at Evans. You're rockstars. Keep up the fantastic work.
Today I had a small incident on the road and my entire back wheel was out of place. Renaldas from Evans Cycle was absolutely amazing: He repaired the damage for me straight away and also checked the wheels and the chain. Super nice people, very precise work- thank you once again Renaldas, especially!!
Very bad service from sales to customer service. Unless you go for an expensive road bike you don't get any attention and there are at most only 2 mechanics there so the service is very slow.
The phone is rarely answered, I called 6 times before someone finally picked up and told me that as far as the 6 weeks free service is concerned I would be better off trying somewhere else as they are too busy for that
However the worst thing was when I returned there because my brand new bike had a tyre's defect (3 punctures in a week) and:
1) they didn't bother looking at it: I left it in the morning and when I went to pick it up in the evening it was still there unattended, apparently because it was a warranty issue
2) when I went to pick it up in the evening, after waiting for half an hour, the manager told me to either wait a week for a replacement tyre or get a new one with a 10% discount.
Only positive was that the mechanic tried to help and was v apologetic.
The second time I was at the store, the service was terrible. I couldn't solve what I needed due to the stupidity of the attendant.
I've been in a number of Evans stores in London, and haven't always left a feeling like I've received good customer service.
However this store consistently delivers. Staff are always friendly, helpful and professional.
Can't ask anymore.

Fantastic service all around. Very nice staff every time I m there, and they are doing their best to accommodate every demand this busy time for them. Currently you may have to queue outside, but that s understandable. I ve gotten many bike parts from here and all are top notch with good quality (better than you can buy of amazon) with amazing price.

Gob smackingly rude and arrogant. As a customer you are simply an annoyance, a headache and the lowest priority - they'd rather just be left tinkering their chains in the basement.
Great bike shop I'm coming back to. They do price match so you always get best prices. Guys at the workshop can always recommend / help you with what's best for you. You can definitely trust them. Thanks for the gloves to change the chain too! :)
Bought a bike and lock online. Waited 2 weeks for the bike and lock to arrive to the store (there was an option to pick both up at the same time) . Only the bike came and the lock has yet to arrive at the store preventing me from commuting on the bike. So have been waiting 3-4 weeks for all this to come together. Bike seems good can't wait to properly be able to use it.
The Best Evans Cycle in Central London possibly in whole London. Staff is always there to help, whether you have a problem with your bike or if you are buying a new bike. Zsolt from servicing team is great and his customers skills are amazing. He helped me to go through a warranty process without any problems and I am very pleased with his excellent work. Highly recommended shop and team.
Good selection with bike storage. I lost a track nut from my front axle and went in to get one knowing they did servicing. Not only did they give me one from servicing as they don't sell them, they then refused to take money for it
Realy bad customer servise. They charged me for a bike which I never got. Still waiting {5 weeks) and I don't have a clue what's going on with my order.
Calling is a waste of time. . . left my number for them to call me back - the girl who answered clearly forgot and then I couldn't get through again as no one answered the phone the other 3 times I called. So frustrating!
Had my brake pads changed there recently. When I collected the bike none of the wheels were spinning as the pads were touching it. They said that there is nothing else they can do and I need to change all braking system. As I eventually got home it took me 30 minutes and some sandpaper to make it good.

My chain came off and I couldn't get it back on. I walked to the store and they fixed it for me and allowed me to wash my hands. They made my day. I am so sorry I have forgotten the names of the two guys that helped me. They wouldn't let me pay anything. Great people - thanks
Got my first road bike and cleats fitted. Jon was brilliant setting up everything so the bike was tailored to me. He suggested changing seats as the original was too small which made a massive difference to the comfort. Also tweaking the handlebars to ensure the right ride position. He made sure to set up my new shoes and show me how to use them so I was able to cycle the bike home without falling off! Overall a great service and very happy with my new bike.
Dropped in here on a Friday evening after unluckily popping my tyre on my way home. The workshop was completely booked out however Obie changed the tyre in a flash on the shop floor even though he was really busy as well. Such great service, it s the reason I keep going back to Evans!
Jon was so amazingly helpful when I brought my bike in with a flat on Tuesday. Would have been stuck for hours trying to wrestle the wheel off if it wasnt for him. Amazing!

The guy in the workshop not only looks like a wizard, he is a wizard with bikes. Very helpful and personable even though they are extremely busy.

Evans offer a fantastic deal when you buy a new bike. You can return or change it in the first 30 days. I bought a hybrid, rode it a couple of times and then decided it was too heavy so decided to change it for a more expensive carbon version of the same Canondale. They switched all the tbe add ons from the aluminium bike to the new one but after trying the it I changed my mind so they transferred all the extras back to the first bike at no charge. I am now riding and enjoying my aluminium bike . Everybody in the shop was polite and helpful. A great team of sales people and mechanics.
Martino in the workshop and the rest of the team at Mortimer St Evans are the best. My bike's chain was constantly slipping off especially when pulling away from lights - causing me to lose balance and nearly fall into traffic. I was turned away from 3 nearby bike shops but Martino sorted it out for me. He also aligned my wheel, tightened the brakes - basically made the bike safe to ride again. Wouldn't take payment! Guys - thanks so much I hope you enjoyed the muffins and Yum Yums!

I went to Evans to get my handlebar put straight. Mike and Alan helped me a lot. They went out of their way to put it right and even put some last minute cosmetic touches on the bike. All while I was waiting, it was done in a few minutes. Great service and very friendly staff!

Absolutely amazing!!! I have never experienced this in a biking shop before. I had a flat tyre and was absolutely astonished by the kindness of Calum and the rest of the team. Calum responded rapidly and helped me with great enthusiasm and precision! I wish him all the best and I would recommend this shop to everybody out there!
The Evans staff always go above & beyond with service at the West End store. I've been helped by Calum, Jacek & Rhys on separate occasions and they've all been super helpful, friendly and generous with their time. They're passionate about bikes and care more about making sure you find the right fit than with trying to 'upsell' products. I know this because the model they provided so much help with in the past wasn't even from an Evans store. Just bought a new roadie from them though and glad I did because with their advice/tips, have found an awesome new set of wheels. Cheers guys!

I bought a BMC bike recently from this store. The shop assistant was very helpful and gave me his full attention and assessed my requirements through asking a number of different types of questions. I left the store very happy with my purchase and enjoy riding my bike in and around London.
Had to wait a while to be served but once I was served the process of changing the tyre was fast: around 5 mins, so saved me almost having a completely flat tyre on my way back home!
Had amazing customer service in the Oxford street store from Haja, explaining and showing me the ranges of bikes, giving me personal opinion and excellent customer care... I rate her and the store 5 Stars... (BUY A BIKE ASK FOR HAJA)

Went in to see if I could buy a new cable retaining screw for my brake calliper after losing it and although they did not sell a spare a very helpful and friendly member of staff called Alex sources me a screw from the workshop and gave it to me gratis.
I offered to pay but he wouldn t have it saying he was happy to help. Above and beyond what I expected and an amazing bit of customer service.
I would not hesitate in recommending this branch of Evans to anyone and will be using them for my next service.
This really made my day, proving that real customer service and friendly people do still exsist even in the middle of town.

Alessandro (? Apologies I can't remember!) was really helpful in getting me a bike up and running. Explained everything - good service usually hard to find in a big cycle store like this one but was really impressed.
My son and I popped into Evans to have his new bike serviced, taking advantage of the free service within 6 weeks of purchase, although our visit was 6 months after purchase because of lockdown. Service was excellent with some professional advice. We wanted to raise the handle bar (kids soon grow) however we needed an extension part to do so. The assistant found the product online and we purchased it there and then. Took the bike back the following week to have it fitted which they did free of charge. My son and I are definitely impressed with the excellent service we received from Evens Cycles. Thanks.
Popped in today to this place to adjust my bike (shifting and so on), and I can say I got more when than I expected for deffinetelly reasonable price loads of attention, got all my questions answered, really good advice without intention to rip off, got my breaks changed that they got fitted really good, and my bike runs really smooth after all, thank you Dan, and if anybody needs their bike get fixed definitely recommend!!!!

Dan was the most helpful staff I have ever come across. TBH, I had a REALLY bad experience with my first visit, but today as I was ready to collect my new bike, Dan just saved the day as he got me 'newbie' everything I needed with amazing efficiency and he clearly has a passion for bikes. Wonderful customer service from him. Quick tip: if you want someone who's patient and willing to explain even the most basic things, ask for Dan. He's the one to go to.

Very happy with the service I received here. I do try to patronise my small local bike shops when I can, but sometimes Evans is the only place with what I need at a reasonable price. I ordered a particular pair of wheels last week that I couldn't find elsewhere and it was only when I'd attached the cassette, skewers, rim tape, tube and tyres that I noticed the rear wheel had a distinct wobble when it rotated. Not at all acceptable for a brand new wheel.
I went back to the shop the next day, expecting to get a typical big-retail response of "sorry, the only thing we can do is order you a replacement" which would have been a real pain seeing as I'd fitted everything. But no! The sales people pointed me to the workshop, where a mechanic trued the wheel in about 3 minutes, no questions asked. Perfect.
AN UPDATE: Some time after I wrote the above, the rear wheel started making an intermittent "crack" sound. It drove me nuts for months, since aluminium bikes are notorious for making sounds appear to come from the wrong place. I tweaked almost everything on the bike until I managed to trace it to the rear wheel. Again, I took it back - bear in mind this is months since I bought it - and this time the mechanic traced the problem to the hub - some issue with the original wheel build - and fixed it. Not all that happy with the wheels themselves (though they are finally ok now) but I'm very happy with Evans.

This is a wonderful shop! Cliff, Tom, and Alex Roux were all extremely kind and gave me excellent customer service, helping me finding the right products! I would definitely recommend anyone to come here for their cycling needs.

Popped in for an emergency repair, just for a wrench really. Even though the mechanic wasn't in, the staff was so helpful I was really overwhelmed. Dug out an old brake cable to get going on the ride home, since I don't live downtown. Friednly, funny, and really just delightful. Their service was very very very much appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Just had a 1 hour bicycle tutorial with John. Lovely, friendly and knowledgeable bloke who thoroughly explained all elements of the bike, how to sort a puncture, tighten the brakes,grease the chain etc.. brilliant for a complete novice cyclist like myself. And we got a goody bag too! Thanks John!

I had the best service ever from DAN at Evans and think this is the bike repair shop that I have been dreaming of. I came out of John Lewis to a flat tyre at 5.20 yesterday, a Saturday afternoon. I googled nearby bike shops and found Evans ready and willing to help. Dan carefully fitted a new tube and gave the bike a once over, all by 6.00. Amazing service, shop and atmosphere. Bike lovers without being posh/trendy ! and great value. I will send all my family and friends there.
