EcoMark Solar Review

Please don't go with this company. They are asking us to post a review when our system isn't even operational yet. We had a nightmare of a time getting everything together due to permitting issues and communication issues. We tried to cancel, but couldn't afford the $1,500 cancelation fee. I've been in tears through this whole process. Please don't make the same mistake!!!

We are overall very happy with Ecomark, but I do think your salespeople could be more forthcoming on 2 issues:
1) critter guard. This turned out to be quite necessary for us, and according to techs who installed the panels and followed up, that was predictable.
2) Nest install (or lack thereof). The salesperson said it would be installed for us, but it turned out we had to.

From start to finish the representatives were kind, sincere, and knowledgeable. The explained the process from start to finish easily and answered an questions we had quickly.

I had several questions towards the end of install and sent them by email. Within 20 minutes someone replied with detailed knowledge. This customer service was impressive to me!

Ecomark solar was great to work with from the sales person, installation, to production. The professionalism that was there was great. The sales, to help me understand how the system worked to the process of installation and production. The explanation of how to turn it on and off. Also the reminders of how the process of everything. Would highly recommend Ecomark Solar for solar power.

Things went very well from home show to initial visit to install and through setup. Reps were knowledgeable and professional. The system is neat, clean and relatively out of sight. Works as advertised. UPDATED: There was about a month where we felt like we were being completely ignored. I changed my review to 2 stars. We brought up a relatively minor issue didn't hear back from any of the five EcoMark reps contacted. Eventually, the COO contacted us and set everything right. Faith and satisfaction restored. If it goes bad again, I'll revert my review back to 1 or 2 stars and leave it. Still extremely happy with the system itself.

Everybody that has worked with me from the very beginning of paper work to the installation of the outside electrical boxes to the solar panels. They set up the appointment and show up on time to start the work. The solar panels were installed and hooked up in one day and then it was left to set up inspections to finish everything and turn the system on. It will be interesting to see how they work and see the difference in the electric bill.

Thank you for the professionalism and the integrity your installation staff showed. They were knowledgeable and enthusiastic for my new venture.

I just received notification to turn on our system. The entire process was absolutely fantastic. Every deadline was met early. From the sales rep, to the installers, to the team that kept me up to date in the process, I thank them all for providing great service.

I had an issue in my electrical box after the previous owner installed a 10kw system on my roof. Evan called me back immediately after I contacted the headquarters to schedule a date and worked around my schedule, but still came out even when I wasn t around to address the problem. His master electrician and himself fixed the problem in a couple hours, and even though I wasn t able to be there they gave me updates on everything. This was a warranty issue and they addressed the issue right away. Very impressed!

Friendly and easy to work with from start to finish. Great installers, excellent equipment and we are very excited about our systems.

From the sales people to the installation crew to the implementation process, every single person we have met at Ecomark has been extremely friendly and professional. We would recommend Ecomark to anyone who wants solar panels!

So far I could not be happier! We're one step away (final IREA Approval) to switching it on and it's been nothing but an extremely positive experience to this point! Every single person who's come has been professional and respectful of my home. They came in and did a spectacular job installing the panels on the roof and all inspections have been perfect! (Had this done in California before I moved here and even with that positive experience, this one has been far and beyond my expectations I already had!) I'm recruiting all of my neighbors to jump on the EcoSolar bandwagon with me!!!

I'm updating this review: while I still am not 100% happy with EcoMark, the installation team did a great job and the panels look good. They also went out of their way to try to get the additional funding rebate. I'm still of the opinion that no call/no show is grounds for termination in any field despite a couple inches of snow.

I signed a contract with them back in August and finally my install date is here and they didn't show up, nor did they let me know they weren't coming. Because of this delay, I'm missing out the local rebate as all the funds ran out TODAY. Energy Smart also advised me that EcoMark is overcharging me by about 30% - basically pocketing my portion of the tax refund.

Ecomark solar has provided a great service from day one. We have worked with several team members throughout the process. They are knowledgeable and flexible with our busy schedules. We recommend Ecomark solar to our family, friends and neighbors.

The EcoMark Solar Team from initial sales point of contact through the entire process of design and installation have been very professional. We even managed to navigate a hail storm in the middle my Going Solar process! Thank you EcoMark!

When can I get the referal reward? My friend finished the installation about three weeks ago. I emailed but no reply, not easy to contact on the phone, keep sending to voice mail.

I have got reposed from them, told me they sent the referal check on 4/13 but I didn't get it. I have all the records in my email that Post Office sent me after they scand the envelopes of the post. I cannot find any from them. but However they resolved it said will send new check, Will see how it will work for this time.. Thank you.

We were impressed with the information communicated to us as the process of installation was started. Everyone was friendly. The workers were prompt on getting here as promised. We were in frequent communication with your office as each segment was completed. We are completely satisfied with the installation and look forward to reducing our carbon footprint. We have been impressed with the depth of information we have received about how to use and maintain our new solar installation.

They are really professional, and fast . So would like recommend for friends.

The entire process from beginning to end was effortless. EcoMark employees were very courteous and professional throughout the process. They made sure we were up to date on the installation status and answered any questions we had. It was a great experience and we are already seeing the benefits of our solar system.

We just bought our house and about a month later we had a salesperson come to the door selling solar energy. The salesperson was very professional and answered all the questions we asked (he knew the product he was selling), he gave us a time frame and everything came together within that timeframe. Everyone was very professional and polite. The installers cleaned up after themselves and had all the equipment installed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend ecomark solar to anyone who has ever though about solar, and to those who haven't, talk to these guys. You will change your mind.

The sales staff were great and helpful, the installation took a little longer than expected but overall a good experience.

We have been very pleased with EcoMark. From start to finish, it was less than three months to having our panels up and running. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Each step was made clear, and quickly done. In the short term, we have nothing but positive to say about EcoMark.

I am a retired veteran who has no income at present. I just recieved a collection notice from EcoMark for $1500.00 for breach of contract signed August 16 2016. This is May 29 2017 and accordong to the letter this is a final attempt. This is the only notice I have recieved and it gives me 10 days to respond. This is typical of EcoMark. The original claim of breach is based on their 3 day right of recession. I tried to negotiate terms for repayment with a representative and was given unsatisfactory terms. Failing that I deided to go forward with the contract. They gave me a final installation price that was more than 20% over the original estimate. According to their contract I then had the right to cancel my contract. When I tried to cancel they just lowered the price to just get under that limit. During all of this I realised what a bad deal this was for me. 1. The cost of the system spread out over several years would have cost me more than my current electric bills. 2. The systrm provided no way to store excess electrical energy so I would still be reliant on the power company. They loed about the return I would get from buyback of energy at preak production from the power company. 3. They lied to me about how much value the system would add to my home. 4. Their system would be obsolete (become non-functional) before the term of my contract was up and have to be replaced. I was also chided and shamed by EcoMark employees fot my resistance to their business. These peop9le are predators who use legal nicities to take advantage of disadvantaged people who are bullied by their strong arm tactics. SAY NO TO ECOMARK.

One of the simplest process to have solar installed from the first meeting to the completion/installation. Ecomark solar made the process stress free.

This was by far the easiest process. From the beginning we were given updates on next steps and what has already been done. This was the 3rd company we looked into and they came through with excellent service and looking forward to seeing the cost savings to come.

Very easy to work with. Everything was quick in a timely matter. Everything was explain on how to work the system. Great value overall.

Ecomark has been great to work with in getting our house solar powered. The staff has been great to work with, all have been very professional. Haven't had it long enough to show savings yet, but still wishing we would have done it earlier.

When EcoMark Solar first called I was very unsure how solar worked. When Matt (sales consultant) came out and started to explain the solar process to me it was very fascinating to me how it all works and the benefits associated with it. So I went ahead and went for it and through the whole process everyone at EcoMark Solar has been very helpful. So thank you to everyone at EcoMark Solar. I would highly recommend to anyone to invest in Solar.

The overall experience was great. The meeting with Gary was great. The installment was a little rough since we had some issues with our main panel blowing on us. But the workers were able to come back out and fix the issue. The final installment was great, no issues other than that blow with out main panel.

Sage was very pleasant, personable and professional. Also very thorough, reviewing every aspect of the project and making sure that the new system upgrades will meet my future needs. It has always been a pleasure dealing with ecomark employees, and Sage is a glowing example of the character and qualities that I'm sure are highly valued in this company.

My husband and I have been very pleased with Ecomark Solar. The process has been smooth and enjoyable. All personal we have had contact with has been helpful. Installation was quick and easy and the panel look great on our house. We highly recommend Ecomark Solar.

I am beyond disappointed with our experience with EcoMark. Our roof was damaged in a hail storm and we needed to have the panels removed before the roof could be replaced. The crew did not show up on the scheduled day and it was not communicated to us that it got pushed back. The roofing crew was scheduled to replace the roof the day after the panels were removed, however, they were unable to do so because of EcoMark's failure to show up as scheduled. This resulted in the roof being pushed back a week and worst of all the materials that were dropped off to complete the roof were stolen and had to be replaced. This happened in November, the roof was completed and we passed the inspection. We then were told the panels would not be reinstalled until January 27th, which was yesterday. Well, guess who didn't show up again as scheduled. We have now been without solar for 3 months all while still paying for it. I have asked twice via email and voicemails for a phone call to discuss and they could not even be bothered to do that. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I don't even want to leave 1 star.

The process seemed somewhat straight forward. There were a few hiccups with the inspectors which worked their way through. It was also a bit troublesome being home for nearly 2 weeks while the installers and inspectors came through. However, everything seemed to move smoothly and go easily after that.

Ecomark was a friendly, timely, and knowledgeable company to work with. No questions went unanswered.

Kudos to the the entire EcoMark team the entire process from sale to installation was great. They kept us informed of what was taking place answerd all questions promptly and outperformed in all areas.the installation crew did a fantastic job.It was rewarding to work with a company that new what they were doing and sent great people to accomplish the project.

This is my 3rd solar system and by far EcoMark Solar provided great install and top notch consumer service. Their electrician was very keen on providing the install exactly the way I specified it, their costumer service is very responsive and takes care of business. This was by far the easiest experience out of my three solar systems installed. Are they more expansive then other installers, you bet ya....but you get what you pay for....well worth the price for the services provided in my opinion. The amount of headaches I have experienced with other installers, EcoMark Solar will be my next system installer for sure.

Be patient, this company is very busy. They will provide updates on the status though and make the process very easy. The installers were very polite and kept me informed through out the day while here working

These folks have communicated every step, and have been exactly on time for every appointment. Additionally, everyone has been so nice and polite. It has been some time since I have seen any company with such service and integrity, which unfortunately seem to be rare these days. I am a tough person to get five stars from, and I would actually give them more if I could!

I loved the house I purchased in Greeley as soon as I saw it and loved it more when I saw it had solar panels. I've only lived here a month but I haven't had to pay for any electricity and I use the A/C 24/7. It's nice to think that I purchased a house with such a valuable asset and so friendly to the environment.
Jake Blakely came out to my house to help me become acquainted with the system and he's been very helpful & knowledgeable.

The entire team was awesome. We received phone calls to establish installation schedules. Every scheduled appointment was met. All work was outstanding. When our utilities company came to the house to install the final monitor, they were very complimentary of the work. In fact, the utilities employee said that the system was very professionally installed. We are extremely satisfied with the entire process.

The EcoMark crew were great! Once the weather finally cooperated and the install began everything went smoothly and quickly and the panels are awesome to see! Solar has been on our wish list for at least a decade so it's awesome to finally have it as part of our family's efforts toward sustainable/renewable energy. Thanks EcoMark!

I did a lot of research on solar companies. I selected Ecomark solar and boy am I happy with my decision! The whole experience has been nothing less than amazing! Our sales rep was outstanding, the installation crew was extremely professional on time and stayed with the job during 97 degree heat. Our project manager was on top of every step in the process and keep us informed.

The best part, my first bill from Xcel Energy was...................$1.28!

Ellen, the sales rep, was on time, and took her time explaining the benefits of solar. She insured all our questions were answered. We started the process in late April. By mid July our solar was up and operational once the permits were received. Everything went super fast. The installers were on time, courteous, and worked quickly. Jake was on time and made sure all our questions were answered for the final setup appointment. Very pleased with the process so far.

We are very pleased with EcoMark. They were first rate to work with from start to finish. Excellent communication, planning, and timing in all areas. The install folks were outstanding. Very efficient and clean job. We are thrilled with how well the product is working. We love monitoring the amount of electricity we are producing. We can t give these guys an less than the highest recommendation.

Very pleased with the customer service provided by EcoMark throughout the entire process of installing our solar system. They handled all of the approval/coordination with our HOA and utility company, making it easy. Everyone we worked with at EcoMark has been a pleasure to interact with. Project manager was very good at communicating the progress regularly. We added an additional panel late in the project and EcoMark was able to update the plan fast without issue.

EcoMark recently completed installing solar panels on my home roof. Every part of the EcoMark team provided excellent service. It takes time to go thorough all the initial steps, but once the permits are obtained the installation goes quickly. These hot summer days bring a smile to my face now that I'm generating my own electricity.

I was a bit hesitant on starting a solar journey. However, after working with Ecomark and having such a smooth transition, I now share the information with anyone that will listen. Ecomark is a great company. They handled everything for me and kept me informed throughout the way.

Ecomark seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately, as my process continued, I was continually disappointed by Ecomark. The salesman did not fulfill his promise to provide me with references. Weather forced my first site work reschedule, and I had to wait an additional two weeks. On the second reschedule, I again was told that the site work would be another two week delay. I discovered that Ecomark does not have reschedule time in their calendars. The scheduler told me "that's just the way it is". It was disappointing to learn that Ecomark was not willing to work with me, and made me wonder what other services they would not follow up on. Further disappointing to me was there has been no callback from the company to discuss and resolve this simple disagreement. Ecomark seemed like a good company to deal with. It was sad to learn that they are not that.

Your salesperson was very nice and not pushy. I like that you adhere to the activist values and dont hand out cards. I did not go for your system but that has more to do with my own needs than this company. I just wanted to say that I like your salesman and if I were to install solar I would definitely use this company.

All in all, Ecomark performed well but installation took a month longer than expected. Had some problems with passing initial expections so team had to come back out several times to satisfy inspector. But team that came out always communicated on progress and did good job of explaining what needed to be done.
Work done seems good but still need to see benefits as we just got it turned on.

The rep we dealt with was very courteous. Great communication throughout the process. The installers were very nice and friendly. They cleaned up after. Went smooth from beginning to end.

The crew was very friendly and knowledgable and everything went a lot smoother than we had anticipated. We were kept up to date on everything that was going on. If there was an issue it was discussed with us and they were very careful not to damage our new roof.

Had a smooth install. Took a little bit of time to go from credit approval to actual install but it was mostly spent on waiting for inspections and approvals beyond Eco s control. To date, everything is working fine with no problems. So far, no leaks in my attic from the roof penetrations. Clean install, as a home owner I like that. Thanks again.

We just finished the solar install process, while it was a long process we are happy we used EcoMark. We began the process with a quick consult this past summer and our sales rep, Halley was nothing short of amazing, knowledgeable, and professional. At times we would go weeks without an update but would receive communication back within a day if we reached out with any questions. If this were a review for Excel, it would be less than 1 star, it seems they tie the hands of these companies more than they help. The install crew were very professional and polite. The lead kept me updated throughout the install of any issues that had come up and how they were going to fix it. We had a great first impression of EcoMark and referred a friend, who also went solar. We were so busy with our own lives that we didn't think about the referral bonus. When we did ask about it, we had it within the next couple business days. We are now happily collecting our power from the sun and could not be happier.

Our experience has been a very positive one from start to finish. Ecomark has maintained efficient communication and outstanding customer service. All of our questions were answered effectively and without delay. The work crews were professional and courteous. Safety and customer service were obvious priorities for all crew members.

The overall experience with EcoMark was good. They did schedule things with very little notice but luckily, we were able to make it work. Unfortunately, while in the attic, they popped a nail through our ceiling. Although I was told on numerous occasions that they would be back to fix the nail, it never happened and we were left to fix it ourselves. In addition, the monitoring system (app on phone), is unreliable. It frequently does not update information for more than 24 hours. We enjoy being able to track our energy production but wish the app was more consistent.

Outstanding. EcoMark replaced our cedar shake roof with a beautiful new impact-resistant shingle roof in 1 1/2 days. A few days later they installed the solar system in 1 1/2 days. We love our new roof and love being electric producers rather than consumers! We highly recommend them!!!

I was extremely pleased to see how affordable it really was. Callie helped with all aspects of coordination and got all my questions along the way answered. Our install process was timely and our questions were always answered. We were walked through each step of installation and treated with great respect along the way. We are excited to be generating now and feel comfortable that Ecomark will help us no matter how much time has passed.

No money down. Flexible payment options. By far the smoothest install process I've ever experienced. EcoMark Solar took care of everything for us from contacting our HOA for approvals to getting permits for the install. My family and I didn't have to do anything.

The only complaint that I have is after the panels were installed on my roof communication became a bit of an issue. I felt a little left in the dark on when the next appointment would take place. It took a couple of weeks after the install to get an inspector to verify the install and then another week roughly to get them turned on and producing power. It took another few weeks to get our final appointment to go over the turn off process and monitoring application.

Outside of that, I am very excited to now have solar panels and the process couldn't have been easier and affordable.

Update after several months. System is great, power production is good, but the device to wirelessly monitor the system still is not working. Have tried several different units and checked the main system but they cant figure it out. Makes it difficult to monitor the system health. Great sales meetings, with lots of great details on benefits of going solar and costs/savings involved. Step by step details given after signing the contract up to activation. Looking forward to watching my production and seeing the savings over the next 20+ years.

EcoMark Soar is a great company! They helped us every step of the way when we decided to put solar on our roof. Their team is very knowledgeable and kept in great communication throughout the project. Even in the time of COVID we got 5 star service!

Went on real fast, only problem is inspections and waiting on Public Service to install there stuff. Not working yet installed about 2 weeks ago, now the wait and drag from inspections, wait on Public service to install there stuff, wait and wait some more 12/21/18

Everyone was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. Explained what they were doing and why. We would recommend them to anyone who is looking to have solar installed on their house.

We live in Meridian Ranch and were unaware we were able to get solar due to HOA. Once we approached Ecomark they told us how they work and an HOA can not stop us. We looked further into them and they have a no pressure attitude with their sales which to us is a selling point. When we said go with the project it was a totally hands off deal. They called with weekly updates and were very punctual with install and hook up. This is a great company and recommend them to anyone.

I was impressed with Ecomark every step of the way. We had issues with our roof prior to installation and they were patient and informative. I also had concerns with interference from the solar panels because my neighbor uses HAM radio. They worked with my concerns, were curious about it themselves, and helped me gain information. They were professional and helpful and I would highly recommend them.

The process went pretty smoothly. We were given updates through pretty much all of the process. Any questions that we've had along the way has been answered.

Great bunch of guys! Very courteous and they did a really nice installation. EcoMark is easy to work with and kept in contact throughout the process and answered all our questions as they arose. They even worked with our HOA on a Saturday morning to complete the design details.

We decided to use EcoMark for the installation of our solar panels because they were a local company, had very competitive pricing and (probably the biggest factor) were willing to manage our entire roof project....We have had a very old, non-functional solar hot water system on our roof since we bought our house. Installing PV solar panels on our roof meant demoing this old system and replacing the roof in that area prior to panels going up. Of all the companies we talked to, only EcoMark was willing to take on the project as a whole (vs us managing the demo and roof repair). It was a load off of us to have the whole thing managed and coordinated by EcoMark.

Throughout the process they have been very good at communicating with us and have offered excellent customer service. Our panels are now installed and the work is neat and all appears solid. All of the folks who worked at our home were very helpful and considerate. There were some delays during the process, but they were enhanced by the fact that we needed additional work aside from a straight installation of the system. I can't yet comment on the the effectiveness of the system as it is waiting on Xcel before it can be turned on, but based on our experience so far, I'd happily use EcoMark again.

Echmark installers and staff did excellent job keeping us informed in the process from beginning to final stages! I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to purchase solar panels for their home.

Was very pleased with the process, all went as planned, no issues, everyone involved was very helpful. Whenever I had a question it was always answered quickly. We are very happy with the system.

Good info and the sales staff were moderately friendly. They lost me when they started blowing up my phone and getting really pushy. I had multiple quotes from multiple companies and none were so aggresive and borderline rude about it. Today when I told them I was going to hold off on going solar, the tone of the conversation changed and now I'm more than sure that I made the right decision. I might be going solar soon, but it definitely won't be with Ecomark.

Edit: The pictures are screenshots from the owner of the company after he saw the initial review. How desperate and borderline pathetic. I d advise you to steer clear of these guys.

This company just bought out the con artist John Mcdonald of McDonald solar and wind! I don't work with people who work with con men! If EcoMark represents the work that Mcdonald solar and wind puts out, I can confidently say that the solar power system you have them install will fall apart less than 2 years later. Terrible companies to trust your money with!
