Josh was amazing to work with. He helped us get almost everything done ahead of time so that we could get out quickly when we came in. My parents came to see him last year and had nothing but a great experience and I m glad my husband and I came in because he was just as helpful and amazing with getting us into our first vehicle. We had a great experience buying my daughters first car this weekend. It was a quick easy process & they let us test drive the cars on our own. We drove 2 cars & were on & our with our new car in about 3 hours.
Several years ago my daughter purchased a vehicle from driversselect and Larry. Since then, our family has purchased at least 7 more vehicles from them. I just purchased one last week for myself. After looking at the large inventory selection online, I decided on several that I was interested in. I talked to Larry a couple of times prior to driving up about what I was interested in, my trade and financing. Once I got to driversselct, we looked at and test drove what I was interested in, they gave me the value for my trade (which was within the range I was given) and everything else feel into place. The customer service, inventory and whole process is made so easy. I cannot thank Larry Pelky enough for being patient with me and making this whole experience amazing. First and foremost if you are not going through Drivers Select you are doing a service to yourself. Driverselect is hands down one of the best car dealerships out there! They sell 1-3 year olds cars and they don t sell any car that isn t CarFax checked out trust me I know because I kept buying car fax reports and all they all checked out! When u go into the dealership ask for NICOLE LACEY this girl singled handily helped me through every step of the way for two weeks straight!! She answered all my questions and helped me find the best car for me and didn t pressure me into buying other things and advised me on better options too! She hooked me up and she will hook you up too!
When u walk into the dealership it has a nice, fun and professional atmosphere and I was treated very kindly. The only thing I would say about them is I was looking for a car with them for about 2 months and usually their website is up to date but there was a couple times where I was looking for a vehicle and relied on the website to assume their car was available but when I called they would tell me it sold already. So only thing I would suggest is they should try to update their site more consistently to so folks won t get the run around about vehicle that may or not be in stock anymore. However I was there for only 1 hour and 30 min and the process was quick and easy. Before I took the car off the lot they filled my gas tank, gave the car a car wash, changed all the fluids and overall made sure the car was great condition before I left. I am a regular person who serves in the United stated Air Force and I will be recommending all my Airman to go here to buy their vehicles . Great Job Driverselect! I hope you guys expand around the US!
Driversselect made car buying easy and as simple as possible. They have a great selection and at amazing prices. The team there were very friendly, especially Chris Scheu, who helped me through the whole car buying process. He did not pressure me into buying and was very straight forward with me. From the time i got there till the time i left was the most best and wonderful experience i have ever had in a long time. It really helps if you do your research on what kind of car you what to buy, it makes the process go by so much smoother. My car consultant was Demeon Washington and this guy right here is awesome!!! I got there and he had the car already sprayed (cause of Covid) and ready to test drive when i was ready. We had some setbacks with one of the cars that i really wanted and obviously he could see how bad i wanted the car that this guy bent his back for me to lower the payments enough that i could afford it. Thats what you call a good salesman!!! He dealt with my mother in law a couple months back and he did the same for her as well, she had nothing but good things to say about her experience there. Demeon's customer service was impeccable and i would definitely recommend this guy. He makes you feel so at ease with what you are buying. Wish I had four hands to five them four thumbs down. The Grand Prairie location has the rudest and most unprofessional sales people and managers. From the moment you call for an appointment, when you check in until the moment you try to make sense of the deal offered. I purchased twice from the Dallas location and they were excellent. Such a disrespecting attitude from the GP sales staff treating customers like illiterate peasants getting mad because we asked to match a warranty package deal they try to force feed you very aggressively. If you are someone trying to make sense, this is not your place. If you like Driversselect, go to the Dallas location or simply take your business somewhere else, not the GP location. Their staff knows how to treat people. Steer clear from Harry (salesman) and his manager who thinks she is Almighty God. My wife felt we were treated differently. Way to treat a US Veteran family GP!!!
Demeon was amazing. Yall gave us a better interest rate than we were previously approved for and we walked away with a great deal. Yall went above and beyond helping us out. The only negative thing is the oil light came on when we got home and the car wasn't detailed very well BUT it was a saturday and yall were super busy so we understand. Thanks so much
I have purchased several high-end cars of the past 25 years and my experience with Larry Pelky at Drivers Select was in the top 2. Larry was prompt to respond to all of my questions and concerns. He made me feel at ease, he didn't try to pull something over on me like they did at Clay Cooley VW. I would recommend Larry Pelky and Drivers Select to anyone who wants to buy a newer model, low mileage car for a very reasonable price. This experience was one of the few where I left feeling good about my purchase, not dirty like I got screwed over.

I'm actually shocked at the amount of good reviews.. I didn't think that would be the case. I'll start by saying I bought my car just over 3 months ago and absolutely love it. I was sold a great car, can't complain there. What really bothers me and has me coming back 3+ months later is their customer service. I was lied to multiple times and no one has fixed it. When I bought the car it was missing the front passenger floor mat, I was told someone probably forgot to put it back when cleaning it and the salesman said he'd have it in the car when I picked it up the next day. Next day it wasn't there. He said he'd order it from the dealership and have it in a few days. Few days go by and there answer after I have the car home is they can only give me the basic, fit all WeatherTech mat. Now I have 1 floor mat different than the rest in my Lexus. That's just 1 instance.. another? I declined all extra warranty packages and made that very obvious. Month or so later I receive a letter in the mail thanking me for signing up. 2-3 months later I get a letter stating I canceled my warranty plan. I never did any of this. I called the store multiple times, each time getting passed around to different people. I even left voicemails and received no responses. I have a few more issues but this review is getting long. In the end, you get a reliable and quality car but this business is too shady for me to do business their again.

The overall experience was good. This was my second time buying a car from Drivers Select. I am pleased with both vehicles. I was able to purchase both the same day I came. The sales person Marcus was very helpful. He took the time to show me how to hook up my phone to the van's bluetooth. Another guy (not sure his name) tried VERY hard to sell me on the extra warranty once Marcus couldn't get me to purchase it. He didn't seem to want to take no for an answer. He also tried to give me a terrible interest rate. I was able to get an interest rate 2% lower by applying online on my phone. It took me like 5 minutes. The finance guy sucked. Marcus the sales guy was great.

But I just bought a car over the internet from DriversSelect located in Dallas Texas and had it shipped to Utah. I found the salesman, Gene, to be very helpful. He communicated information in a timely manner and answered all my questions accurately. I needed expedited service and he bent over backwards to assist me. My expectations were met! Nope never going back. This place was as "sketch" as they get when concerning a car buying experience. Yes, we got the car we were looking for at a very good price. I had done all of the research for weeks leading up to actually contacting the location to purchase the car. Once there, we were tossed between 3 different sales people. It took over 2.5 hrs. to complete the sale & I had everything ready to go before arriving at the dealership. The car was not appropriately cleaned when we finally got it. And it only had 1/2 tank of gas in it. I read all of the reviews and figured it would be a good place to buy the car I found. Well, I do not know who these people dealt with, or what their experience was, but we had the exact opposite experience with unknowledgeable / non-customer focused sales people. Will not be going back or recommending to anyone.
Working with DeMeon Washington is the way to go. We not only bought one car but two cars from him. He was very informative and the whole process was painless and quick. No more spending half a day at the dealership. Next time I am in the market I will try drivers select first, their selection of cars is top notch!
I ll start with our salesman Kyle Bryant- he was awesome. The best thing that happened to us was the first girl that was showing us cars turned things over the Kyle. She was so busy and kept disappearing, and we didn t even know she left until Kyle came out and told us we d be dealing with him. He was also off work, but told us he d stay with us as long as we needed. Again, he was great! If you re going to the Grand Prairie location, ask for Kyle Bryant.
The cars are priced right and they are very busy. Best to know what your looking for before you go out there. We happened to know the make and model, test drove 3 cars, got the financing down there and were out the door. We are now looking for a car for my daughter and we will start there.

After reading the reviews I immediately went to this dealership to find a new vehicle. The sales guy I got was helpful and courteous at first. After test driving a couple cars I could tell he was getting impatient. When I returned from my 3rd test drive he didn t even bother to come speak to me. He just sat at the desk in the back whispering to the guy next to him. After seeing that I just left. He didn t try to contact me or nothing. I ended up going to CarMax where I didn t feel rushed and purchased a car from them.
I went in to urgently find a reliable SUV because my smaller car was not sutible for our 10 month old. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted but George literally took it upon himself to show me a car he felt I'd like, based on my particular taste. I fell IN LOVE and left the lot in a Lincoln MKX! Thank you George! I will be recommending anyone and everyone to see you!
The initial greeting and process is great ... until it's time to talk dollars and cents. First off, you CANNOT speak directly with the finance manager so your salesperson acts as a gopher passing messages between the two of you. Secondly, DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING the salesperson tells you about the "necessary" extras; GAP insurance and an extended warranty. GAP insurance is not mandatory in Texas ($799), and the cost of their extended warranty with Ally, IS NOT "the lowest price for great coverage you will find" ($3200). Once I discovered my salesperson intentionally misled me (less than 24 hours after sale), I called back to renegotiate a more reasonable payment without those two extras and was told "no dice." You purchased it, now you have to cancel it and the $4000 you paid for services you don't need will be applied to the principle due on the vehicle; thereby taking my note from 72 months (6 yrs) down to 57 months (4 yrs, 10 mos) but at the same per month cost.
A strange experience from the beginning. Walked in with a few cars in mind to look at. (I had 6 vehicles saved from their online inventory) Our sales rep. (Henry or Harry..honestly can t remember) told us to pick 2 because it would be impossible to test drive all of them. I wasn t looking to necessarily drive all of them, more or less just wanted to physically look at the vehicles. After we drove 2 of them, we were asked which it would be. We asked to look at more cars and he turned us out to the lot where all the cars were. Would have been nice for him to come out there with us for the questions we had or to look inside the cars. Decided to go elsewhere and when we went back inside, our rep was absolutely no where to be found. Waited for about 5 minutes and asked the service desk for the keys to our car back. The shift manager/leader or whoever it was of course came out to try and save the sale. Not a great experience if you are looking to be guided and informed. If you know exactly what you are looking for and want to test drive, this is your place though! Just not what we were looking for in a car dealership.

Never felt like we were being pushed into a car Or deal we did not want. Everyone there was really nice and always willing to help. He provided me with a hassle free experiece and he was very accommodating. I made an appointment with him and literally had to wait a few minutes for him to start helping me. I have purchased several cars from this place in the past it was a good experience but this time It was awful. I had a refund from my GAP insurance for $2,312.51 they used $2,000 for a down payment. So I should of recieved a check for $312.51 but I only recieved a check from driverselect for $112.51 Driver Select kept my $200 saying overpayment for cancellation as down payment. Which is a bunch of bull. I talked to the people from the GAP insurance & they told me I should of gotten all $312.51. I know its not alot of money but that money was owed to me. I tried calling Driver Select left alot of msgs NO RESPONSE. So now I got a lawyer to look into it. I feel it's some shady business going on. It's official I'm done buying cars from Driver Select.

This is my 1st auto purchase from Drivers Select. Lilia Galindo moved quickly to try to close the deal with me. Josh Lopez- from the Finance dept. dropped in and introduced himself. Everyone was really nice. Honestly, this was the least stressful car purchase to date! Most of the process was done before I arrived. Once I got to the dealership, the car I was looking at had been pulled around and was ready for me to test drive. I was pleased with the vehicle and decided to move forward with the purchase. I think I was at Drivers Select for only 2 and a half hours max. The lady that went over the paperwork was friendly, but I wished she would've taken time to thoroughly go over all the documents I was signing. She was pointing out, where to sign, but very hurriedly explained what document was what. To be fair, when I stopped and asked questions, she answered, it just would've been nice if she could've slowed down a bit to provide a summary of what each document said and mentioned the "need to know" info. This is the only step I would say take your time with...know what you are signing and ask questions- just for your own protection. Other than that, everything was great. After signing the paperwork, I was on my way! Lilia provided bags for me to put my things from my trade in. It was super painless. I have some people I am going to refer to Drivers Select ...THIS is what buying a car should be like!

Very nice cars, great prices and very friendly people. Had to wait for almost 4 and a half hours to finally get the car I wanted, but it wasn't their fault it was my banks fault. I finally finance through driverselect and their rates were just as good as my bank. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a nice used car.

His excuse was it s Saturday and we are super busy so it is hard to test drive the vehicles that you are looking for I call BS and that was so unprofessional of him, we will not be doing business with them at all!

I just recently bought my first car from Josh at Drivers Select. My girlfriend bought her car from them a year ago and it is about time that I got one for myself. We met Josh who was AMAZING from the beginning. He was very nice and funny and made us feel comfortable the entire time - I didn't even feel like I was in the car buying process. He was really fast and in no time he had me approved for 3 different cars, 2 with no money down! I never thought that would even be possible! I think I may have even made Josh a little nervous (lol) because I started to second guess everything, and even through it all he was very patient, kind, and just wanted to make sure that I made the best decision for myself. He was never pushy and I NEVER felt like I was being sold. He did everything possible to make sure that I drove off the lot in a new car and that's exactly what I did. This was the second time around and I was still very impressed with Drivers Select and with their employees and customer service. When it is time to trade in or trade up, I know exactly where to go!
Bought the exact car I inquired about same day. Kenneth Mansfield was excellent throughout the entire process. There was a small hiccup in sorting out my financing, and I have only had my car for for a week, but overall I am satisfied and would do business at driversselect again.
Good price on the vehicle. However, I had to wait for 30 min despite being from out of town and having check written in hand. The title clerk was behind. No biggie, these things happen.

Best buying expierence I have ever had. I will never go to another dealership again except here.I had the worst expeirance I have ever had when I went to CarMax the night before. Dan Dasch my salesman was so helpful and so patient.Got way more of a car for less money at Drivers Select. The finance manager spent and hour talking to Wells Fargo to get me a better interest rate. He went the extra mile to please his customer and so did Dan. Thank you Drivers Select.
