I will be honest, I did not have a good first impression with the first salesperson I spoke with when I called in. I live two hours away, so I was trying to get everything taken care of before actually going up there. In the meantime, the vehicle I really wanted was sold and I was pretty upset about the lack of communication that the salesperson had with me.

HOWEVER! Due to their prices and the fact that they had more vehicles in the style I was looking for, it was worth giving it another shot - but with someone else! And, after a slow start, finally the ball got rolling and I was back on track again. I looked through the Google reviews to see if I could find an outstanding salesman, and I noticed Kyle Bryant s name quite frequently. I called and asked if he was available, made contact with him, and he did make me aware that he had quite a few appointments for the day, but would do his best to let me know what was going on. I was contacted later to know I was approved from my financing application I had sent already previously, and so that is when I made the trip to the actual location.

When you drive in, there are vehicles ready to sell EVERYWHERE! Which, again, makes them a good choice. Even on a weekday, during the day, they were pretty busy. Yes, that does make it take a little longer, but you set up appointments ahead of time to assist with that. I met Kyle face-to-face, he had our trade-in looked at as we took the vehicle I had already picked out for a test drive. The vehicle was in great condition, and anything detail-wise, Kyle made sure that it was taken care of before we left. Of course, there was the running numbers, and that really was the longest part. In the end, they got me a really good interest rate, about half of what I was expecting, and I drove home and have had no regrets! I have told co-workers about Driver Select at Echo Park, and have recommended Kyle to them as well. I will definitely take a look there whenever I decide to upgrade or add!

Be aware, Saturdays are their busiest day, and priority is given to the customers that are actually at their location. It was unfortunate because I was not really aware of those factors, so that is really what set things up wrong for me at first. My tips would be to have a list of vehicles you would like, top 3, and either be patient with them if you have to deal with them via phone/text/email, OR, just go ahead and take a weekday off to go see Kyle in person after making an appointment with him - and have your ducks in a row, like payment terms, amounts, cash down, etc. At least submit a credit application beforehand, I would say. Anyway, I got a great car for easily $5000 less that what any other dealership I ve looked at has them - and trust me, I ve looked at a LOT, and I have been looking for some time!

The floor manager, Christie was absolutely amazing to work with! We came in looking for a gently used suv after my spouses old Mazda finally gave out. We came in and test drove a few cars and were actually planning on heading to a different dealership when Christie came over and introduced herself and sat down with us to talk about all of our options and even guided us toward a car that we never would have thought to look at but it ended up being the perfect option for us! Then when it was time to go over finances, Christie took the time to explain all of our different options to us both including going over the different options for financing individually versus as well as answering my million questions regarding credit/refinancing/insurance/etc. She also was great at keeping us updated throughout the whole process and arranging for us to test drive SEVERAL cars before we finally made a decision. The prices were also very competitive at drivers select which definitely helped, but Christie s service and advice is definitely what made the sale for us!

I can t ask for a better salesman, everytime we buy a vehicle the service is exceptional. Gene and Shannon has always been very helpful and polite. Awesome Experience! Easy buying process. When I got to the lot it was super busy - nice seeing people buying cars and not walking away empty handed. However, it was a painless process. I would certainly buy from them again and have referred Driverselect to several friends who are in the market for another vehicle.

Lamarcus Reed was so great. He showed us every single car we were interested in. He drove us to each area and even got into the car s 3rd row seat to see how much space their was for each car (he is 6 4!). Great guy!

Marcelo was wonderful from start to finish. I applied online and was contacted by Marcelo who was able to text me quotes on my phone while I was at work and answer all my questions. When I arrived to the dealership he was friendly and made me feel really comfortable about making such a big purchase. I test drove the car and fell in love came back and he had the paperwork ready for me even helped me find the cheapest insurance rate. He even noticed a small detail that was wrong with the car and got it fixed right away. He was the best car salesman I've ever encountered and would definitely recommend driverselect and Marcelo.

Although it was crowded and it took us several hours to get the car, we received excellent customer service. I don t recommend going on a Saturday as it as very crowded, but on the whole it was a very good experience.

I have been trying to reach out to them for last 1 week to inquire about my car registration which I purchased from them. Left around 10 voicemails but my call has not been returned yet.
Buying experience wasn't good either. Push you to buy extended warranty and other add ins.

I went in at 9 am to their location in Dallas, I got pre-qualified on Auto navigator. I went in to buy the car for the price I saw on the website and the sales person comes to me with add on like Gap, extended warranty, Accessoires that rounded up to 6000 on top of the price listed online. I told him I didn't want any of that and he still came back with the extended warranty. I told him it's optional and I don't want it. He insisted and said it comes with the car today. On top of that I wanted to finance the car for 60 months and he said you could only do 72 months so I would have a higher interest rate. Unfortunately I walked out with a horrible experience and didn't buy a car.

My transaction went very smoothly. I obtained financing before going into the dealership, the bank cut the check, and i was driving away in no time. The only thing i would stress improvement on would be the price they charge to detail your vehicle($259.00) before releasing it to you. Immediately after accepting my vehicle i noticed that it wasnt detailed at all. Other than that, i think they Tyler (salesperson) did a great job.

I just purchased my 2nd vehicle from them during this memorial weekend, 1st vehicle I bought from them was in 2012, I have found them to be honest and had a very positive experience.
Last few weeks I have been researching online for a car for my wife ( I have visited many websites and dealerships) just did not feel comfortable dealing this haggling salesperson.
With Driver Select I went to their website search for the make and model it gave me multiple cars with pictures, detail information and price, I filled out basic information for financing.
I received a call Randon M within 15 minutes with interest rates information.
Went to visit them next day We were out with new vehicle within an hour.

I got the car I wanted at the price I expected. Although i found the process of identifying all the add ons that i didn't need to be tedious, and the long wait once I agreed to the terms and price to actually leave with my car was exhausting. Also, we agreed that there was a problem with the bumper fastener on my car that would be fixed in a timely manner, but it had been weeks and nothing has been done. There have been phone calls and text messages, but my bumper is still not fixed and unsecure.

My sales man was excellent though

I was skeptical in the beginning but once I got there it was a wonderful experience. I will continue to go back here instead of CarMax to look for a car. It is well worth trying it out.

Nicole made it the easiest car buying experience of my life.

Pretty average experience with this car dealer. While pricing is attractive it is a cumbersome process to purchase a vehicle and is designed for people in need of financing or bad credit. The sales person was hosting multiple buyers during my buying process and short of constantly calling his cell phone was difficult to stay engaged on the process. Be prepared to spend a long time in the purchase process as they use a let them wait approach to get their deals done.

I ve bought several cars over the years and it has always been and awful experience. I v been putting off buying a new car just because I didn t want to go through the car buying process. Mike made it so easy from the very beginning till the very end. This is the first time I can say I have had such a pleasant car buying experience and I m excited to pass along Mike s cards so that others can enjoy it as well.

I didn't end up buying a car here but was very impressed by their service and effort to provide cars with reasonable price. Still, you need keen eyes and expertise to choose the right car. I highly recommend you to bring an expert along with you. As far as you know how to choose a good car, this place is a good option to consider. They at least don't fool you with ridiculous price tags.

I entered, was immediately greeted by the front desk. In 5 minutes an agent came, and I was directed to a table with a screen. After I showed my list of cars, I was immediately directed to the giant parking lot where they have all their cars parked. I checked two cars and chose one to test drive. I could do both if I insisted but I didn't. I liked it how chill the agent was throughout the process. This place do not engage customers in price negotiation but they rather provide a competitive price. I might have bought the car I tested, if I had not seen a car with lower mileage from another dealer. At the last moment, a gentleman who seems like the owner (or manager) of the store approached us and kindly explained how they operate and why they don't negotiate prices. I bought their argument in that their price was competitive based on my week-long research of used cars.

Amazing salesman named Robert, was very patient and honest with me regarding what was best for me in my situation! Even stayed after hours to make sure I got the best deal!! Definitely go to him! The whole staff as well was very helpful and it s very nice inside.

I was looking online for a good late model used car and found 1 at Drivers Select that I was interested in. I talked to Charles McCormick and he gave me a price over the phone. When I got to Drivers Select Charles took very good care of me. The price was the same as he had quoted to me and the car is great! I ve been shopping around for cars and have had varying experiences with dealerships. (Mostly bad unfortunately as I was shopping for pre-owned.) I found a car I liked at driversselect (soon to be Echo Park) so I called and made an appointment with Bennie to go check it out. (I highly suggest you make an appointment because it makes the process super smooth, especially if you re coming on a weekend.) When I pulled up he was ready for me with zero wait time! He made the process of test driving and purchasing my car seamless. He didn t pressure me at all (huge for me as I m a female and I ve dealt with a lot of high-pressure salesmen.) He took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my purchase and answered all my questions (I always have a ton of questions). They even took out a small door ding in my car within the time it took to complete my purchase! This is my 7th car purchase, so needless to say I ve been through this process many times, and I ve got to tell you all - this was the best purchasing experience I ve ever had. If you need to buy a car, I highly suggest you check this place out. When you go, ask for Bennie, I cannot recommend him enough! He is the knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and efficient. I went in with financing already handled from my credit union. I was looking at an SUV. I was told that they were a haggle free dealership and the price posted is what you pay. I alway think they have room if they want to sell but not in this case. I liked the SUV and then when they found out I had my own financing they where not as anxious to help me. They told me it had to be in a form of a cashiers check and not a bank draft (which is how most banks operate). Come to find out they want you to use their financing because they get a kick back from the banks they use.

So I would watch out these guys they are not here to help the customer they are just here to pad their pockets. If you are not willing to work within their rules then you can not have a vehicle. I say keep your truck and I will take my my business elsewhere.

I am not part of a place that tells me what financing I have to use. In this country we still have the freedom to choose.

This car place is something I've never seen before. If you have no idea what to you're looking for, I don't think this is the place for you.
They sell over 50 cars a day (at least) so coming in knowing what you want is imperative because it might be gone quickly.
My wife and I got exactly what we wanted at the lowest rate in town.
THEY WILL NOT HAGGLE, I didn't but watching someone try was entertaining.

My family and I had a great experience. Jeff Jewell was AWSOME! He was patient with all my questions and really seemed to care about what we were looking for. He even brought my Kids some pizza and snacks while we were doing the important work. Jalan was also great. He was kind enough to transfer my belongings and two baby car seats from the old car to the new car. That saved me a lot of time. I already recommended to co-workers and family members to buy a car from ds. I will definitely get another car from them as soon as we need one. Well, I would buy another one even if we didn't need another one.

I had a good experience until they never sent me the SD card that was promised when I purchased a car 6 months ago. When you call you always have to leave a message and sometimes they call you back. When they do if you don t answer good luck getting to speak with anyone. I have gotten through and have been told multiple times that they aren t sure what happened and that it should be on the way. Pretty disappointed how it was handled, by multiple people and numerous occurrences.

I would never again purchase a car from driversselect, nor would I recommend anyone purchase a car here.

In 2016, I purchased a fine Nissan from the dealership, but the customer service was sorely lacking - not at all what I expected from the reviews.

Today, I went to trade in the car and found out it had a branded/lemon title, cutting the value in half. At no point was I informed that the car had any deficiencies.

Even if 99% of their cars are fine, you don't want to be the 1% that gets stuck with a value-less vehicle.

Edward was a super pleasant, friendl . And helpful salesman. He wanted what was best for us regardless of commission. From the time I called ed to taking the car off the lot was 3 hour. Including the credit approval (with not great credit). It was the fastest I couldve ever wanted to get in and out. While still enjoying the free delicious lattes. Will be coming back when I need another car.

Oh my gosh! This is the place to go! Matthew is the salesman that helped me with my purchase, and he was awesome! We talked about my budget and he worked with me every step of the way. Just bought a car there today with a terrific sales rep named Nicole. Previously I had been working with CarMax because a friend of mine works there. But I found a couple of cars I liked on the driversselect website and was contacted by Nicole. Frankly I was extremely surprised by the difference in the experience between the two places.

It was very obvious from the outset that driversselect management team trains their employees to focus 110% on customer satisfaction. It was equally clear that Nicole took this position very seriously. I I am aware that I can be difficult t deal with at times. Nicole displayed extraordinary patience and caring. She communicated with me on a regular basis over about a 3 to 4 week. She was remarkably responsive whenever I had a question and never displayed any frustration with my indecisiveness.

I got an excellent car and a very fair price and I never felt like I was being "sold." From what Nicole tells me, I don't think it was just her personality, although I'm sure that helps a lot. But like I said previously, this kind of customer service has to start at the top.

Although I think I got the best price around (because I definitely shopped), I would actually not paying a little more for the kind of service I experienced at driversselect.

Great buying experience - Kameron Gee is the best. Buying a car takes time but Kameron and the team at Driverselect make the process predictable and well worth the effort. Stephen Hampton in the back office also provides excellent support in all steps of the closing paperwork. Great prices and vehicle selection!

Was an easy internet buying experience but only had the car for 2 weeks after only doing what was told by salesman. The banks and lenders ask for the same paperwork over and over and after insuring the car asked for it back 2 weeks later. There quick at selling you a car but just as quick for asking for it back even after all paperwork was signed. Just make sure the salesman knows what there talking about before you end up inconvenienced like we were. My husband is a veteran and we needed a second vehicle and heard good things about them but from the start it seemed a little to good and easy to be true.

I absolutely love drivers select! We had a wonderful experience with Damien, Joseph and Christy. Everyone was patient and took the time to really go through the details. What a wonderful experience for a normally stressful situation. If you are able to get an appointment with Damien you will be in luck!!! Joseph and Christy are managers and are so great!

I really want to give a higher rating, but I m currently frustrated and disappointed. I purchased a vehicle I saw online. I was excited and felt like the services went well. When I purchased the car there was a scent in it but it wasn t strong so I thought maybe they used some type of disinfectant and it will soon leave. Well after driving my car for about a week the smell got stronger. I had it checked out by a local detail shop and they found water and mildew under the rug. It takes multiple tries to reach someone by phone. Once I received a response I was asked to bring the car back in for a deeper cleaning. Then I also I wanted to know where the water is coming from as well as two other issues I discovered. I took my SUV back and they gave me a small loaner car that s too small for my family to fit in. I was told I could come back on the next business day to get another car but they know I live 2 hours away from the dealership. So I drove the car home last week. Today I still have not received a response or update on my car or when it will be ready. I ve called and left 4 maybe more messages. I finally reached someone in the sales department (they answer those calls) and he said he would have someone call me back. 45 minutes later I m still waiting. It s disappointing because no one has called to update me, I need my car for weekend traveling, I cannot schedule appointments for my job this weekend because I don t know when I will need to go pick up my car. A little communication goes a long way. It would be great if someone from the company would return my call and please give me an update on my vehicle. That s all I m asking.i think this a great place but customer service is key as well as communication.

I found 3 different vehicles I was ready to purchase and all 3 were sold before I could make it in from out of town. I wanted to make a down payment on all 3 and the sales manager never contacted me to do so. I later discovered they sold all 3 the next day. Poor service.

Great location, good selection of cars and the staff are nice and not aggressive in sells. I came and test drove I. The morning and came back that night to purchase the car. Three hours in and out. Kyle is great and the car is too.

I located a 2016 Ford Explorer at this dealership through Auto Trader. I was located 3 hours away so I was skeptical to make the drive and have something go wrong with the deal. I dealt with Bruce Rhoades and he came through on everything we discussed through e-mail/text. I was super impressed with his customer service as well as from their entire team the whole time I was there. I would not hesitate to purchase a vehicle from them again. They definitely break the mold in a good way from your normal car buying experience.

I am so happy in my 2011 Jeep Patriot. No other dealership was able to give me the service that Drivers Select has given me. Jacob( I believe his name is) and Anna were so great! I am coming here in the future when it is time to shop for another car!

This is my second visit to this place. My opinion on this place changed from last time. Waited for 20 mins to talk to a sales person. Waited another 30 mins to find him again. Waited another 20 mins to look at a couple of cars. May be I got a bad sales person... Not sure if I can recommend this place any more

I found a car online that I wanted to buy but was told I couldn t unless I used their more expensive lender. We are approved through our credit union that just needs a purchase order to send all funds. Sounds very shady that they won t sell the car to someone with good credit and confirmed funds. They would rather charge you higher interest rates to sell the car. Is that even legal to advertise a car online at a price and then not honor that unless you need to use their bar credit lenders?????

This place is horrible I bought a car about 2 months ago 2018 Nissan Armada and have had nothing but problems I already had to spend hundreds even tho I got the extended warranty but with the deductibles each time I had to take it to the shop and something that was not covered I m already out $500 on a car that I have only had 2 month and if I didn t have the warranty it would be thousands. It s basically in impossible to reach customer care but after spending all day non stop calling I was able to reach someone who pretty much said sorry your 30 day warranty is up.

After doing a lot of research, I feel like I definitely got a great deal on my car with this place, but it still felt like a typical car buying experience when it came to financing. Make sure you double check all of your paperwork before signing, especially if you don t want GAP coverage, extended warranty, or dents/dings coverage as that was automatically rolled into the quote I received over the phone. I was in the actual dealership 2.5 hours, even after doing all the heavy lifting beforehand and being told I would only be there 45 mins tops, but it wasn t horrible. Ashton was great. Good car prices compared to the MSRP and I adore my Lexus IS 250.

I bought a car here and got a really good deal on a used late model car. However, the salespeople are focused on selling warranties and are super hyped up. I still do not have my plates or inspection sticker and my salesperson will not speak to me because I rated the experience so low. (Bought Cadillac)

I had been e mailing with Matthew McCoy for a couple weeks. I told him on a monday, that I was ready to buy a Dodge Charger. He said, I was in luck because they was plenty to choose from.
I arrive at the dealership the next day, Tuesday expecting to see all these Chargers that were supposed to be there. I met Matthew and he said that there wasnt any Chargers on the lot and that I should have scheduled an appt so they can make sure they have the cars on the lot, as they store most of their vehicles in a seprate location.
Disappointed, I said, ok, lets set it up for the follwing day, Wednesday.
I get there the next day and I met Matthew. He told me he got promoted to finance and that another person would help me.
The other salesman told me that there was only one Charger on the lot and that the other Charger was on its way. And the car that was on the lot, only had one key.
Disappointed again, I said, I have no interest in buying a vehicle with only one key. He said, you can buy another one for only $250.
I said, the car should come with two keys already. I then told him, I wasnt interested in waiting on the other car either because it should have been on the lot already.
Disappointed once again, I left.
I sent an email to Matthew once I got home and told him that if and when, he can get two Chargers on the lot, that both have two keys each, let me know because I was not about to waste another day at that dealership as they have already wasted three of my days.
A little while after that, I received a phone call from another representative who asssured me that there would be two Chargers on the lot for me to look at the following day, Thursday.
I got to DS the next day, my fourth consecutive day. Met with Jose Lopez and we test drove both Chargers.
Put down my deposit and picked up the car the next day, Friday.
I didnt like how DS offered the apr on the loan. They gave me higher apr just because I didnt buy any add ons like, paintless dent repair or an extended warranty. Like they were punishing me for declining any of their ad ons.
I don't think thats fair and furthermore I dont think that should be their decision. I think that should be made by the institution that is providing the loan, not Drivers Select.
And I feel that they lowered my credit score, on purpose, to give me a higher apr.
So, my experience with Drivers Select is not good.

Arrived at 9 am and stayed till 6 p.m. attending person didnt stay with us very long. However, the cars and pricing of vehicles are GREAT! have to have ALOT of patience!

I recently purchased a vehicle from here. Upon arrival, the vehicle I wanted wasn t available and I drove same model different color instead. It wasn t what I wanted so I was about to leave and the salesman Harry checked on the vehicle and it had been shipped to another location. Took awhile but they had the vehicle delivered back the same day and I ended up purchasing it. Overall process was a very lengthy one and I had to return on Monday to finish up vehicle items hence the 1 star less but Paul and Tariq, the sales and finance managers, went above and beyond to make sure I received the vehicle I wanted. I ll definitely recommend to others. Thanks!!

I was in the market for a car and I found a car in drivers select. I called a salesman to enquire about the car. I just asked one question. Is that the final price or there is any additional discounts applicable. He just hanged up the phone on my face. You might have the cheapest cars but this kind of disrespectful behavior is not welcome. I don't mind buying from a different dealership and pay a little bit more and get a better service. Beware of the disrespectful sales people here.

Great experience, nice selection of vehicles in inventory to choose from, and test driving a few different vehicles was smooth process, nice atmosphere too. It does not feel like a typical dealership, which is good.

Bought my first car here. He had everything ready for me when I got there. Instead of being there 4 hours like a regular car lot I was in and hour in maybe an hour or a little longer! Would definitely recommend it to others.

How can I start?! I needed a car badly!! I look online and most auto lot on the website had high price!! And then my brother found driver select! Now I don t want to sound like I m doing just marketing for them! But this is my Expirience! I drive over there and KYLE assist me how was so over the top nice with us( my brother and me) and he was not putting pressure at all!! But even tho he was nice our situation was hard, you see, I only have 4 month with my current credit and I am a first time buyer.... KYLE work so hard to help us and when I say work hard I meant they almost took 4 day because they were looking so hard a find to help me!! I m happy to say that my first car is a 2017 FORD ESCAPE and the price was good!! It was Less than the year of my car!! I purchased my beautiful 2012 GMC Terrain from DriversSelect this past November 2014. The process was as smooth as they advertise. Lilia Galindo was knowledgeable and caring. She made sure that she found the perfect vehicle for me. I would definitely return.

DriverSelect is cheaper and better than a traditional dealerships. The facility is modern and they use technology strong. They do however make an aggressive (somewhat offensive) push for customers to purchase their warranty or gap insurance. When you refuse, their motivation to make the sell lessens, but they maintain professionalism. If you are a corporate or not-for-profit company don't expect much accommodation. The experience level for corporate financing or even cash purchases under Texas tax-exempt status is very narrow.
They wanted me, an employee of my company, to be the guarantor of a loan for a non-profit with $4 million is assets which is pretty ridicules. So when we decided to not finance and simply purchase the vehicle, they refused to our tax exempt status with the state of Texas and 501C3 federally.
The biggest complaint is that with all the technology, their workflow is slooooooooooow. Even a straight cash transaction with the deal already in place took hours.
I would not say avoid them, but bring your lunch and be ready to fight if you don't want their warranty or gap insurance.
