I will be honest, I did not have a good first impression with the first salesperson I spoke with when I called in. I live two hours away, so I was trying to get everything taken care of before actually going up there. In the meantime, the vehicle I really wanted was sold and I was pretty upset about the lack of communication that the salesperson had with me.
HOWEVER! Due to their prices and the fact that they had more vehicles in the style I was looking for, it was worth giving it another shot - but with someone else! And, after a slow start, finally the ball got rolling and I was back on track again. I looked through the Google reviews to see if I could find an outstanding salesman, and I noticed Kyle Bryant s name quite frequently. I called and asked if he was available, made contact with him, and he did make me aware that he had quite a few appointments for the day, but would do his best to let me know what was going on. I was contacted later to know I was approved from my financing application I had sent already previously, and so that is when I made the trip to the actual location.
When you drive in, there are vehicles ready to sell EVERYWHERE! Which, again, makes them a good choice. Even on a weekday, during the day, they were pretty busy. Yes, that does make it take a little longer, but you set up appointments ahead of time to assist with that. I met Kyle face-to-face, he had our trade-in looked at as we took the vehicle I had already picked out for a test drive. The vehicle was in great condition, and anything detail-wise, Kyle made sure that it was taken care of before we left. Of course, there was the running numbers, and that really was the longest part. In the end, they got me a really good interest rate, about half of what I was expecting, and I drove home and have had no regrets! I have told co-workers about Driver Select at Echo Park, and have recommended Kyle to them as well. I will definitely take a look there whenever I decide to upgrade or add!
Be aware, Saturdays are their busiest day, and priority is given to the customers that are actually at their location. It was unfortunate because I was not really aware of those factors, so that is really what set things up wrong for me at first. My tips would be to have a list of vehicles you would like, top 3, and either be patient with them if you have to deal with them via phone/text/email, OR, just go ahead and take a weekday off to go see Kyle in person after making an appointment with him - and have your ducks in a row, like payment terms, amounts, cash down, etc. At least submit a credit application beforehand, I would say. Anyway, I got a great car for easily $5000 less that what any other dealership I ve looked at has them - and trust me, I ve looked at a LOT, and I have been looking for some time!
