Nice Customers services but the beach wasn't good enough
Had a room on the top floor. I felt sick looking down at the bottom, in a good way though. Nice!
I stay atsomaby 5 star Resorts... This is a close 4 .. Rooms are very nice & the decor is contemporary / modern .
I recently attended a conference/work-related event at the Diplomat in Hollywood. The facility was well kept with beautiful views of the ocean. I had minimal association with the staff, but when approached they were responsive and helpful.
A beautiful Resort very expensive! Customer service is great!
Really nice. If you saw this place before renovation, you would not recognize it now. Excellent vacation hotel and great business center. Beautiful view and pool area right on the ocean. Great restaurants too. Very impressive.
Great atmosphere, the restaurants are very good. You don't need to leave the facilities for anything.
Stayed here recently for the Honeywell Connect '16 conference and it was a great experience. The resort was under a $100 million renovation, but all in all it was a great stay. Can't beat the views, friendly staff, and great food!
One of the worst experiences on customer services I have ever experienced. The first day we arrived only 30 minutes early but it's ok we went to the pool bar but little did we know we would sit there for four hours without a phone call we called and they told us they gave our room away at noon and we needed another room and come to front desk and hour later they still could not provide us with a room on the same floor as our kids we went to the room very unhappy and walked in and it was dirty. We went back down and another hour later after missing dinner with the rest of the people on our party we were moved to a king suite away from construction which they asked like they were bending over backwards but we have two quest on a good out they promised the link our stay and give a free night. The next morning at 900 am we had workers drilling on our patio. My friend checked out on Thursday and they had not honored the room rate we had the reservation for had billed us for wifi it took an hour and half to get her portion of the bill paid they chafed her card three times. The gave us then 150 credit ok my 6 hours day one I guess is only worth that then Walking out of the hotel to the pool after the time spent once again at the desk I walked it and slipped on a puddle in the lobby and hurt my knee and being nice I
wanted to tell the desk s no one else got hurt I got stuck having to fill out a report! So much for being nice. The next day they tried to say we had to move out of our room and did not give us the free night we then spent another hour and half trying to keep our room with being offered 50 dollars wow ok I missed two hours in the Canada I paid for oh thank you
Can not say how disappointed I am that a Hilton hotel would have such bad customer service being in sales I know how to treat a customer so inconvenienced but clearly not here. So I leave upset with a banged up knee and unhappy with this hotel
This is the best resort I loved it here with my family we had a great time! Nice and clean hotel and great staff will be back.
I stayed here in June so it was blistering hot outside. Due to this I didnt get to enjoy the pools but they are definitely gorgeous. The hotel is really luxurious but family friendly. The bar area is nice and they have real palm trees in the lobby with lots of seating areas. The valet can take a while because they offer free valet to the restaurant patrons too. The bathroom was very spacious and clean with a soaking tub. Balcony has plenty space with to die for views. I didn't get to use the watersports but I did visit the gym and it was top notch. Customer service was great besides one valet person but it was my last night there so I didnt bother complaining. The taxes and fees add up for this property but it's still a very nice resort. I definitely want to visit again.
We stayed one night and had a terrible experience. This hotel is akin to staying on the strip in Vegas. Long lines for check in/out. No customer service. Dirty room (trash and someone's clothes left in the closet). Everything is overpriced. Nothing is in walking distance to this place.
The beach was okay but better at nearby public access. Stay clear of this one.
Location is great, right by the water. We made a reservation for a room with two queen beds weeks in advance, only to be given a room with one.
Was here for a convention. We had over 100 people arrive at once. The check in process was great and fast. Clearly they know how to handle crowds. My room was comfortable. I like the opening between the bathroom and bedroom area. My one issue was the food service close way too early. I missed dinner one night. Tried room service and it was closed. This was around 10 pm. Shocking for a property of this level. What also surprised me was not offer to help. I have to other like properties and the people would bend over to provide full service. I will share with the property.
Great atmosphere but attention to personal details and guest satisfaction is slipping
Loved this resort great service, room very nice, provided everything for family and friends
.
Really nice.
Gorgeous hotel located in the heart of Hollywood. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the decor is very modern and cozy, the pool area is huge and has 2 pools, a waterslide and play area for kids, a bar, lots of lounge chairs and other seating, and the hotel is on a beach. The restaurants and rooms service are pricey but convenient. Lots of good restaurants very close to the hotel though. Highly recommend and will be returning.
I was amazed how nice the rooms were. I loved that I was right next to the beach
Good food, beach, convention center etc. Great experience.
I am impressed with your facility and the excellent Security Department service in return of my lost wallet.
There is NO service at this resort. The coffee shop runs out of coffee at 11am and the gym doesn't have a water dispenser. Need I say more?
How about it takes 20 rings for someone to pick up the line.
Oh and for breakfast you can't get toast...or fruit...or cereal?
What plant are these people at.
Prices of the West with service of a holiday inn.
The diplomat hotel is a very nice, elegant looking hotel. It is also very expensive. Vallet parking costs $15 dollars for 2 hours plus another $2 per extra hour. It costs $25 dollars for the whole day. There is two pools, one mainly for kids, and another for everyone. There is a slide, and a hot tub. The beach is right in front of the pool. In my opinion, this hotel is mainly for people who are very wealthy/rich. One hotdog costs around $15. For 3 days/2 nights, its about $600 dollars. Again, expensive. The rooms are very pretty, clean, and elegant. They have ballrooms that could hold a Quinceanera, Wedding, an important conference, a sweet 16, etc. There are grand ballrooms, which are huge. There are also smaller ones, but are probably expensive as well. The stay was good, like any other hotel. It was worth the money, but you would have to have money to stay!
Super nice, try to get a room on the beach side if you want a great view. The other side is all construction right now but the room is really nice. Huge bathtub ( for one, very deep.), nice separate shower with two heads. Shutters into the bedroom that you can open and step into the tub (probably not recommended).
Two really nice pools right on a very nice beach, the water is all warm. The pools are salt water and very easy on the eyes and sinuses.
Cool mini fridge. Would recommend.
Great service at the bar. Food is excellent. Small plates and lots of selection. The bartenders are attentive yet unobtrusive.
Very nice hotel with great Amenities. Brittany and Selena at the front desk are very nice and friendly. The housekeepers in the hallways were very friendly as well. Thank you.
Great location awesome view of the ocean. Rooms are well kept. Easily worth the extra dollars for the location and easy of things to do in the area.
Stayed here for three days. Really like the hotel and their accommodations. Parking is pricey for valet, cheaper if you park yourself but way to far to walk. Swimming pools are really cool looking and quite beautiful at night. Easy access to the beach was nice as well.
A Zoo. Bad food. Bad service. Valet 35 min wait. Thousands of kids running around. No beach, just view.
Gorgeous location, beautiful rooms, and impeccable service!
What a delightful experience and stunning views. The pools are remarkable and the interior lobby is inviting, smells good and makes you want to linger all day. Prime location situated on pristine powdery white Hollywood beaches.
Horrible experience with service issues and inability to clean room! This resort does not even deserve 1 star.
Loved it. Beautiful place. I have to say it makes the top 5 spots I been to for accommodations.
It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but really expensive. A chicken sandwich for $18 that wasn't even that good.
Gorgeous hotel. Gorgeous room. Gorgeous view. Want to have a bday party here with a few friends.
My girls and I were ready to settle in and unpack, but found clothes in the drawers from last visitors I suppose and unsure if the room had even been cleaned, I called the front desk and they moved us to a clean room. Now, it's been almost two weeks and I still haven't received my $375 back from a security deposit. My trip was % paid so it's their fee. I've called multiple times and no answers. Other than that we enjoyed it very much. Now give me my money back please.
The check in had long line. Over 30 minutes spent there. The Hilton Honors line had 3 people and 4 clerks. The regular line had 1. Our room wasn't ready.
2nd day my husband asked for extra towels since our room hadn't been made up. 2 hours later someone brought towels. I spoke to the concierge about it. At 8:30 that evening a maid finally showed up to do our room.
3rd day, our room was done at a realistic time.
The view was lovely. The ocean was close. The service was horrible. I would never stay there again.
After a long flight our room was still not ready at 7 pm, asked for a crib for our little one 2 months ahead at time of reservation - was not available when we arrived (nor was it ever during our stay), room had a balcony that was all boarded and inaccessible due to construction, tried to stay green by not using all towels at once as a reward the hotel instead of giving us credit for that rewarded us by not giving any toiletries and changing only 2 of the towels upon request. The service is bad and staff give you the feeling that they are doing you a favor instead of working for your money. Hope this helps someone. This is not a Hilton hotel.
Check your credit card statements. Due to accounting error they attempted to charge me several thousand for a burger. It was remedied and I thought that was it but over 4 months later I have charges occurring on my card for fitness classes I never attended. 4 months later.
Just the location which is kinda bad to my credit, the Hotel is very good indeed.
Michael C at Playa is AMAZING. He took care of me and my colleagues each time we dined here. He's very friendly and dedicated to delivering an EXCELLENT experience. Thanks so much for making us feel at home!!
I cannot even give them 1 start rating the hotel is really nice and clean. But unfortunately my experience has been awful since i walked in here valet parking had the nastiest attitude, when i checked in they gave me a room that was not the room i had paid for, 3 times i had to go down to the front desk to have my keys reprogrammed because i couldn t get in my room. I drove from cape coral to be able to spend time with my siblings in the hotel pool and beach one of the days i was staying when imwas told that in order for them to have access to the pool i had to rent a room even if they couldn t stay overnight, just to get access to the bracelets. Horrible cuatomer service one of the managers was really nice but the one that started at midnight by the name of edna destines was extremely rude. She treated me like she did not care if i left or stayed. I paid for an ocean front room and they gave me a room with the view to a generator on the roof. I will not reccomend this hotel and will never again come back here.
Amazing place. Only issue is the price. Staff are absolutely amazing.
The hotel is very large and the public areas are really nice and well kept. The pools are nice, but the water is rather cold, except for the two hot and salt water whirlpools. On weekends there are many families with children, in fact there is an area equipped with slides and water games. The prices for the snak point and the shop inside the hotel are excessively high. Good bar service, both indoors and outdoors, the Carlos Carlos bartender is very nice. The room was quite large, but I did not like the window that divided the room from the bathroom ... No privacy, it is true that the shutter could be closed, but anyway all the bathroom noises were synthesized from the room. However the view from the room is beautiful!
Definitely a hotel worth staying at. Great hospitality
Great hotel room, service and access to the beach. Would come here again.
Beautiful atmosphere but very expensive! If you are looking for an all inclusive resort there are far better options available. We found this to be a nice resort but they over charge for everything, including an umbrella on the beach ($20). You are also pretty much restricted to eating on property unless you have a car or Uber. Pre-made salads in the convenience store average $15. If you would like a $5 donut they have those as well.
Love the new outdoor renovation, nothing like fireside a bar and seabreeze.
Awesome time here! The view from the room was amazing! I stayed a long weekend and had the best time. The bed is comfortable is extremely comfortable. There is an amazing breakfast buffet that you can t miss! The bar and pool areas are top notch(kid friendly- the pool that is ;) The hotel isn t too far from Aventura Mall and South Beach.
We were staying in Diploma for last 3 years, but our last stay in May 2019 (after it became Hilton hotel) was a disappointment.
First, the hotel now lost some details that luxury hotel used to have before and a lot of small details disappeared from a bathroom and from a room (bathroom cap, hair conditioner, sleepers, night gowns, glasses for tear/wine, wine opener, tea bags,..).
Yes, you can call and ask to bring it in and they will bring it, but it takes too much time and plus they do not bring all you ask and you need to call them again and again what is a frustration for 3 day stay. You also do not have it when you need it and to wait for 1 hour or more to get it is too frustrating.
In addition, we had a serious problem with their customer service which shows that they do not care about their guests. They charge $22 per day for using umbrella on a beach and we use it for 1 day and have a receipt. They charged us twice $44 for this 1 day and I did not notice it during a check out, but called them in 1 hour after I left hotel asking to refund $22. It took me to call them at least 5 times during next 2 weeks about this refund and spend a lot of time. I wanted to do this just to make them do a right thing and to check how they are handling beach service, but it was a wasting of a lot of time. At the end, they refunded only $14.12 (why this amount???) and I gave up.
During my many conversation with their customer service, I could understand how they DO NOT CARE about you and your problem.
I would not stay in this hotel anymore and will not recommend other people to do so - the price and a level of services do not match.
Wonderful place with lots of entertainment options.
The hotel and it's staff are nice and friendly. Good attention to detail for helping it's customers.
Worked here on several occasions. Beautiful building and property directly on the beach. Very friendly and attentive staff.
I only stayed at the beach. It's beautiful and the hotel seems great.
Worse hotel ever waited in line for check in over 3 hours , triple booked rooms. Save your money and Patient.
Nice and cozy hotel, that's why I chose to celebrate my birthday, my big mistake was to make the reservation by phone, which brought me very bad experience when I arrived at the hotel and see that all my reservation was wrong, they charged me more $$ and the Details of the room was not as I asked, thanks to a manager or supervisor, I think his name is Daniel that was April 20, he helped me in a very professional and charismatic way making me feel good, those are the people who should attend I want to congratulate this Mr, I did not have the same luck when I checked out, they were charging me $ 100 more in my account and when I asked to speak with a supervisor, a Ms. called, Denitsa Georgieva, appeared. super unpleasant not even look at me or pay attention, the only thing that repeated again and again, q could not do anything for me, it seemed that I was talking to a machine, had a very bad face, just looked at the computer and repeated the same, I wanted her make this writing, I would have liked to have left here reflected how good the stay in the hotel, before I had the encounter with this Mrs. that is not professional, nor has a good way to serve the clients that I like to spend a good day with the family, I hope you understand my anger
This hotel has everything you can need and more. Every single staff member was an absolute delight. Only thing that s slightly obnoxious is the pricing of everything. $7 for a pound of bananas is a bit much IMO. I understand convenience charges, but that s just a bit much. Also, over the 4 days that we were there, I heard the Cabana boys give 3 different prices. Ranging from 200-250 for a covered cabana. Feels a little shady that the prices change within hours of each other. Also, the $35 a day room fee on top of what we already pay for the room daily is a little much. I understand it s for the extra activities, but if we don t plan on using them, we shouldn t be charged. Lastly, about that, if the water is too choppy they don t allow the water sports to happen, which is the main charge of the $35 extra daily fee. That should be removed if they don t allow water sports that day. Other than that, this hotel and staff is absolutely perfect.
Large comfortable rooms, very clean and quiet with windows closed but noisy with windows open. Great pool esp. the kids pool (with a splash area). The service is good but not amazing, the beach isn't that great (small, dirty, big waves).
I was traveling with 3 small children, so your experience my vary...
