Everything was absolutely amazing The View the food the scenery everything would just beautiful
I only ate at the hotel's restaurant, but the service and food were great and the view from our table was beautiful!
I went to Miami to celebrate the 60th birthday of my childhood friend who is now a mogul. We cruised the bay which just happens to be his backyard! It was revolutionary for me!
Clean rooms but need to be on high floor or else noisy... housekeeping came way too late in day
Beautiful hotel with modern decor and gorgeous views. Great location as well
Nichol and dime PALACE !!! Had to go back down to desk to get my luggage sent up. They had it in storage. Where did they think I wanted it !!!
construction/renovation occuring at this beautiful property
Great hotel, however purchase prices on many items within the resort are withheld from customers prior to sale and grossly over charged to them when purchased. Example: 4 dollars for a bottle of water and 11 dollars for a yogurt.
My boyfriend decided to fly us in from Buffalo, NY to stay here and I couldn't be more amazed with his choice of place to stay. The rooms are fantastic and so big. All the staff I've come in contact with was overly nice and helpful seeing I'm out of town. The whole hotel itself is beautiful and breath taking. I would definitely want to come back in the future.
The fees charged were a little high. $41 for two drinks that's upsured. But the hotel is nice!
This was our second stay at the Diplomat over the Thanksgiving holiday and we miss the Christmas and Thanksgiving decorations. Our grandson enjoyed watching the cookie Christmas tree and gingerbread house being assembled which were completed before Thanksgiving day. We also liked taking photos in front of the chocolate turkey which was missing this time too. The Diplomat is a wonderful place, but looked very plain this time without the holiday decorations .
Room was great. Fantastic view. Service was very good
Great resort right on the beach with lots of restaraunts to choose from.
There's a hurricane coming this weekend, I was willing to book two rooms for two nights, Fri and Sat. Michelle in Sales would not waive the $20/day parking fee. Come on guys!
This hotels quality and service wwnt dowm the drain since Hilton took over. I have been coming here for a number of years with my family and this is the worst experience we have ever had and so not want to come back. When owned by the Westin this place was amazing. Everything looked great, smelled great, the food was delicious and was just perfect all around. Now though, the food quality sucks. All the restaurants that they have are no good. Compared to what it was this place has just cheaped out on everything. It still looks beautiful but even the house keeping quality changed. Dont come here unless you're used to bad quality.
Property is beautiful! Kids loved the pool and the water park. Left the room at 8:00 am had breakfast on property, spent the the whole afternoon enjoying beach and pool areas before returning to the room at 5:00 PM. In the 9 hours we were gone housekeeping never came to refresh room. Called to advise of the mishap and operator apologized, asked if we left "do not disturb" sign on the door, advised her we did not, then she will send someone immediately. I asked her to please hold off for an hour, so my family can finish getting showered and ready for dinner. She said no problem. We come back from dinner at 8:30 and ROOM STILL NOT TURNOVER. I once again call to find an extremely rude operator advising me "since I called at 5 which is when they change shifts, so that where the mission communication was, but I am on the list to get housekeeping". So I am suppose to inconvenience my family and wait out side at almost 8:45 in the evening and wait for housekeeping to come when ever they please? She was unapologetic, insisted it was my fault for calling at 5 when they changed shifts. For a property of this statue I expect more. There is a certain level of service one expects from staying at a Curio property and today they dropped the ball! I just had wished for the operator to apologize, take responsibility, and make it right. Too much to ask?
We loved this hotel. We will visit it for our wedding anniversary.
I am here about twice a year, always a COMPLETE and SATISFYING experience! Staff, accommodations, and amenties are perfect. Until the next time
Great penthouse view and Ocean breeze. I'm likely to return.
Very nice place to stay. Nothing to complain except the high price for all the restaurants on the premise and a few arrogant people at the front desks - there were one for check in, one for activities and one for bell service. However, the service people at the beach were extremaly courteous and helpful except the life guard who seemed in his 50's. He was nasty to a mother who asked him for help with her child who was swimming out in the ocean very far away. He blew several witschles at the child, which apparently couldn't be heard that far away. After telling the mom that she'd better tell her child not to swim far away in a very very rude voice and went inside his post after putting his shirt on in front of her. The mom followed the girl along the beach, screaming top of her lung at her child as all the people at the beach watching whole thing unfolding and brought the child back to safety without the help of the life guard.
Outstanding rooms that are updated on an amazing resort property that has everything to offer for both adults and families.
Absolutely love this hotel. Not only is it great for leisure, I have attended many events, some being very close and special to me and the ballrooms have been amazing to say the least. Staff is very welcoming and efficient and the modern and practical design of the venue shows. Great midway point for Miami and Fort Lauderdale people to gather. #hollywoodbeach
The diplomat is one of the nicest properties as usual in Fort Lauderdale.
Beautiful place! Was there for a business conference!
Great hotel, very nice beach. I came with two kids and the elevator was not working for the entire time I was here, so had to carry the stroller by hand few levels of stairs every time we went to the beach or lower levels
Exceptional customer service. I stayed for a conference and had an exceptional experience.
Attended a work event at the hotel, the room setup and the service staff were excellent.
This place is gorgeous! The pools are amazing. I went for a night drink and had a great time. They have a long bar inside of the hotel and also goes to the outside where the pool area is. Outside, next to the bar, they also have fire pits very cozy where you can sit and enjoy a romantic tome. The view is spectacular!
Great hotel in hollywood beach.
The incredible rooms
There's no way around it, The Diplomat is a nice property with truly great amenities but the experience there felt that it was lacking. What the resort does well is provides an atmosphere that feels like a sanctuary. The central atrium is jaw-dropping and the rooms are comfortable. But, outside then room decor, which to me felt so overdone the only way I could imagine the design came about was that the resort had to physically coerce the designers to add more "beachy" vibes, the resort feels more like a city hotel with a resort pool tacked on and placed on a beach.
As for the lack of substance, there isn't much to make the beach stand out from others and the pools, while interesting in photos, are little more than two ordinary pools, where one happens to cross above the other. The rest of the grounds, while pleasant, are similarly bland. Getting off property doesn't help much either in that the area is lacking in restaurants and shops. There are some places within walking distance but they become tired after a few days. Of course, going off property is better than paying five or six dollars from a donut at the on-site coffee shop.
Looks like a cruise ship view on the convention ctr east side 3rd floor, the view of the pool is spectacular, and they play jazz music on their sound system, the best view around.
Excellent accommodations, fast valet parking service, great beach location. We will definitely be back soon.
The customer service is not what it used to be. The few restaurants on site are overpriced. But the rates keep getting higher.
The location is outstanding. I did not go there to check in. I am went there this past Monday for a job interview. The service was very exceptional.
Excellent service, it would help a lot that your receptions will also speak Spanish
The new decor is tacky and cheap looking. The old diplomat hotel was more high end and classy
I woke up in the morning and called guest service and asked for a shampoo, while waiting for it I decided to go find a housekeeper that probably could have some because we had to leave for a breakfast! The housekeeper on that floor gives me a dirty look and goes: " which room are you staying at, you can't wait I am going to set it up today"! Wow wow wow! I literally lost words to reply to this lady! I just wanted to wash my hair as simple as that! I could literally pack and leave this place! Awful
Excellent hotel for a relaxing weekend get away. Rooms are spacious and clean, views are amazing.
This hotels offers restaurants and cocktail bar.
Infinity pool, waterfall if you prefer to take in the beach they offer umbrellas and lounge hairs. If you decide to stay near the pool they have lounge chairs and cabanas.
Workout facility, and shopping for quick trips.
Views are amazing, they offer oceanfront views or Intercoastal views as well. You can always catch a lunch or dinner cruise on the Intercoastal if you plan ahead.
Nice hotel but currently under renovations so some areas of the property are inaccessible or you need to take a detour. Also, I noticed two services, complimentary shoe shining service and in-room bathrobe were not available. When calling for shoe shining, I was told it was $7 and there was no bathrobe in the room.
Top notch hotel. Beautiful setting right on the beach not far from the Hollywood Boardwalk. Not a place where you will find reasonable prices. Cup of coffee starts at over three dollars, really. There is a difference between reasonable pricing and being ripped off. Go off site for food of any kind. Hotel was very accommodating, rooms were perfect, just rehabbed last year. Excellent setting.
I don't remember ever being here, Google maps says I was here, so I am going to assume that I was and it was a hell of a party!
This is now our favorite hotel in Florida. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are always very helpful with any questions.
Rooms and pool bar service is poor. Came back from the beach not towels available in my room. On the service is horrible, Took 30 min to bring the food
I would never stay at this place again. I'm three days in to a five day trip and can't wait to leave.
I'll start with the good. The rooms are very nice, the lobby is beautiful and the the people bare incredibly nice. The kids dip and slide was enjoyable for my oldest for. A little while.
Now the rest. The prices are absolutely out of this world. Breakfast for one adult and two children, 3 and 6, cost me $90. The kids ate about 2 dollars worth of food and the buffet while good, had the smallest selection of any buffet I've ever seen.
No in room coffee. For over 300 dollars a night you could at least provide in room mediocre coffee.they do have a ridiculous espresso machine that makes about an ounce per pod. Oh, and they dont replace the pods. They'll probably bill me for them upon check out. I thought we'd save money by eating at the grab and go place. No so fast. $14 for a lousy turkey sandwich that consisted of turkey and lettuce. $12 for an asian Chicken salad that was decent. So much for that thought.
Now there's not much they can do about this but the beach is awful. My kids would be underwater if they went more than five feet out.
The kids club, while closed at the moment is also an absolute fortune. $90 per child for a half day. We went on a cruise recently and the kids club was included.
Oh the shower, that's a game of dodge the extremes. It randomly goes from scalding to cold. So you jump in while it's jumping between temp range and jump out before you get third degree burns or freeze.
This is absolutely the worst nice hotel I've ever stayed in. There's nothing to do in the immediate area and their parking costs are also astronomical making renting a car ridiculous. No restaurants within walking distance of this place and they must know it. Hence the ridiculous prices.
If you can't tell by now I absolutely hate this place and if we hadn't flown here I'd be in my car already heading home.
Frankly this place just is awful and I would NEVER go anywhere near this place again.
Recently renovated hotel resort. Decent location and amenities. The food was overpriced and pretty terrible. If you're looking for dining options, go elsewhere.
Gorgeous property. Location scouting for a wellness retreat. A top pick so far. Smells amazing as soon as you walk in the door.
Great selection of restaurants. Awesome views from the room. Room service lacking a bit though breakfast came in a bag that was disappointing. Everything else 5 star
Beautiful hotel, the beach and pools are amazing! Great restaurants and bars, gorgeous huge lobby. For the price however I found the service to be lacking, had an issue in our room with the toilet making a crazy loud screeching noise each time you flush, called 3 times, said they are sending someone right away but they only came by the night after which didn t fix the problem and for the price you pay, you shouldn t be dealing with this. Otherwise would be 5 stars.
The bad experience a hotel that does not guarantee the reservation made mine one month in advance when I got to enjoy it they did not have a room, that is to say, I traveled from far to arrive and I did not have a place to sleep very irresponsible with the clientele besides the wait more than 3 hours to see if they solve me it turns out that I tripled the price that is to say they did not respect my reservation for my husband and I was the worst place we chose to spend the weekend of Valentine eye with that to part not even call nor an apology mail from them
Great room with fantastic view staff very effcient and accomodating. Many amenities for business travelers, many power ports in the large and spacious lobby.
2 pools and easy access to beach. Very expensive drinks and resturants outrageously so. Very good resturants within 2 miles however.
Went to have cafe with a client. The stag was very friendly, professional, and courteous. Everyone greeted me with genuine respect. The interior is very nicely decorated, lighting isn't overwhelmingly bright, and everything was very clean. we recommend.
Great rooms. Excellent fit conference center. Kind staff and great catering for events.
Excellent location, the attention of the staff is excellent, clean, impeccable facilities, I love that they use seniors who give special attention to the guests. Congratulations
Too big and expensive, breakfast buffet was $50 each, parking was $45 a night...ouch...better off at booking at the Hyde Resort and Residences a few feet away
Run down and dirty place. I am shocked by the dirty room we had. As a Hilton Honors member this really irritates me.
Friendly staff, cool pool area and bar, has Fernet! Not too far from the boardwalk/ Margaritaville area.
Amazing customer service and a location that can't be beat.
Absolutely beautiful! Rooms were pretty, balcony view spectacular and the pools are amazing. Wonderful staff as well. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay, nice pool and next to the beach. Restaurant has good food but high prices.
A nice hotel for family. Good food, but mediocre food service experience.
Great hotel but abnormally small beds and expensive snacks in the cantina.
Very impressive hotel structurally . But look at the menus. Food is $60-$100 per meal for 3 ppl. And the food Isnt a decent burger joint at best. Who can t deep fry things right. It s a trap and Costco will here my 3k disapproval
Staff was not helpful on events in hotel. Inquired about skywalk and amenities across the street, valet didn't know and the stand next to door ro go across.
Beautiful hotel, wonderful service. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Guest services was very efficient and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The Diplomat was an oasis during our stay in Hollywood, FL. The hotel lobby and bar area were amazing. It felt like luxury every time you walked through it. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Every person we interacted with had great attitudes and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. Even on a rainy afternoon when we were hunkered down the poolside bar, one of the staff ran in the rain to get dry towels for us. The ocean views were fantastic from the pool area and the access to the beach was easy and private. I wouldn t change a thing. We would definitely come back to the Diplomat on our next visit!
I stayed at this hotel from July 28 through August 2, 2018. The hotel was very nice, however the service was extremely poor. The room was not cleaned sufficiently, crumbs were left on the desk and the furniture was in need of dust cleaning. Each day I had to track down the housekeeping staff to request towels and soap because they did not leave these items. In addition, for a hotel of this size there is absolutely no food available after 9 or 10 pm. There is no room service at night and no coffee onsite. The staff on duty were not attentive or concerned at all with the customers needs. I am a loyal Hilton honors member but I will not recommend this property.
