This resort is amazing. Very accommodating and friendly. They usually go above and beyond to help any way they can. Only downside so far is that both times I have stayed, they have messed up my resversation and the first night on both stays I've been put in a standard room when I paid for suites both times and had to move the next day. If you don't check in early, they upgrade someone else and put them in your room and you have to deal with the leftover room.

If 0 Stars could be given I would. What was suppose to be a fun, relaxing Memorial Day weekend has turned into the biggest nightmare. This is not my first time lodging at this Hotel so my review is strictly based on my experience today and will force me never to return along with my entire party. I received the worst customer service over the phone and in person. As a federal employee, I am appalled at the lack of humanity, customer service and empathy one of the staff members displayed today. I understand that all Hotels have polices and procedures. But as a former guest, I am deeply affected by the way my family and I were treated. It s enough we checked in with unforeseen weather conditions but were given misinformation and it seems this woman s personal grudge towards my loved ones has clouded her better judgement and this will affect the hotel s image and reputation.

What can I say? Balcony room on the beach? It was great. Let's get to the service... all the staff were good, but the check in staff went above and beyond a couple times. The way they handle room service is weird. You call and order from their restaurant which is great if you have a menu in your hotel guide book. My book was a hot mess. I just ended up calling and asking for what I wanted. Once that was done, the delivery was great. The facilites like the bar, restaurants, and convention rooms were awesome!

Excellent large integrated hotel on the ocean with its own infrastructure, parking, beach, swimming pools, conference rooms, shops, restaurants and a pier for yachts and boats. The hotel can be classified as a business hotel resort on the ocean. Located in the northern part of the Miami Beach peninsula in the area of Hollywood Beach.

Place looked amazing online, upon closer look...not so much. The corners of the rooms are dirty and need to be updated, the bathroom toilet had dirt prints on the top and the pools have murky water. The beach is amazing and Prime steakhouse was too. The little commissary store has a very rude young lady working, ask a question and you feel like you ruined her day...she didn't even look up at us and her store was empty. The pool hours go late but the towel service ends at 6/6:30pm so at night you're left with no towels and no sign to indicate we should bring our own past that hour. The front desk was helpful but no one smiles or seems to want to help. We called the concierge twice and were left on hold for 10 mins each time. We just hung up and relied on Yelp at that point. For the price to stay here, cost of food and amenities, not living up to their value...still a lot of work to be done here. (Also tiles in lobby were not installed correctly, you can feel the hollow points as you walk which worries me about the construction overall and what other corners were cut)

Small rooms but clean, clean hotel in general; smells great. Beach was ok, if deciding between here and Fort lauderdale choose FL. We rented a bed with an umbrella $125 for the day, it started raining an hour in at 2pm was told when rain stopped we could come back, rain stopped at 430pm came back and guys were taking everything up and binding them with rope so we couldn't even grab it ourselves. Terrible experience and was told we had to talk to someone else (something brother) to receive our money back even though the hotel is who took our money. Lunch was incredibly disappointing 2 adults 2 kids $175 my grilled chicken sandwich was cold. Gratuity is automatically added (20%) service was TERRIBLE! We got sat and given water glasses, after 20 mins of waiting got up and pored our own water. Waiter never came back until food came out. They need to change how they do things here, it was not a 4 or even close to a 5 star experience

Beautiful property. Very well maintained. Newly renovated and the staff was extremely friendly. The meeting space is great and the hotel has 1,000 hotel rooms. There are a number of restaurants on property that have celebrity chef connections! Multiple pool areas. One of the pools is on top of the other and you can look up and see the people in the pool above! Beach is small...only can hold two rows of beach chairs.

The reason I didn't give this property 5 stars is because of the following:
1) Gratuity is included on every bill automatically. This is especially irritating when you go to the bar and order a Cranberry/Vodka and get charged $16 for a drink. We ordered two basic drinks and our bill with tip was nearly $40.

2) When we called to share some things that needed attention in our room we were asked when they could come up to fix the issue. We shared we were leaving for the day and they could come up anytime. They never came to fix the issues and never followed up.

3) Prices for drinks are outrageous. Was charged $6.20 for a small soda in a glass bottle(only option) with tax/tip. And...as you saw above....the alcohol prices are extreme.

Overall, I LOVED the property. Just be prepared to drop some money!

They have done a phenomenal job with the refurb. Everything is light and airy and the beach and pools are really nice! Restaurants were not typical hotel restaurants, they were creative and delish! HIGHLY recomend! Update 11-19-2018:. Stayed at the property again and it was just as great as it was the first time!! Customer service from the front door to room service is phenomenal. Property was extremely clean, room was spacious and very comfortable. Had the chance to do the buffet breakfast this time and it was a taste extravaganza!! Seriously good!! Dinner at the Turning Point, the Ora salmon was one of my fav top 5 salmon dishes, EVER!

This is a beautiful resort. Loved the room, we had a lovely view of the intracoastal. Our room was super clean, which caught me by surprise because this is a very large resort with many rooms. The room was retro-themed with the cutest mini fridge. The service was wonderful. Bellmen Gary & Joe were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way for us. Towel attendants were friendly as well as pool servers. Stefano at the beach was friendly and a great asset to the resort. Ricky with the kayaks was also great! The pool is so large with multiple areas including 2 hot tubs, a downstairs pool, an upstairs pool, a kids play area. Ocean front views. We had an amazing time at this resort and can not wait to return! I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful hotel - now owned by Hyatt! I remember Westin build it in 2002 and we still going there - Now it's just breathtaking changes were done and new restaurants and bars, great views

Facilities are nice but the place is a hot mess. It took people over an hour to check in while we were there, no joke. Many people with reservations were told sorry we don't have rooms for you after they arrived. Hard to make excuses for that.

I feel compelled to update my review to address the management comments. The truth is what happened that day was people who were supposed to check out refused wouldn't leave their rooms and the result was people who were coming in with proper reservations were not allocated rooms nor were any other accommodations arranged for them. We had people's baggage put into our room when we were rightfully checked in for our stay. Therefore this is failure of management and nothing to do with a check in system.

Very beautiful hotel with great views and nice amenities. The pool area is very nice. Was surprised at how nice this hotel was to be honest since it wasnt one of the more known luxury hotels.

Great beach resort. Pools are fun and views fantastic. Prices are high but that is what I guess you assume will happen at a resort like this. Downside is there is nothing really within walking distance from the hotel

Gorgeous decor, nice facility, terrible service.

Gorgeous decor, nice facility, terrible service.
Scheduled a couples massage and unable to enjoy from beginning to end due to continuous drilling as there was some construction on the works.
When checking out, the front desk representative avoided to ask how was my experience. A complete DISASTER!!! Come, yes, take pictures and LEAVE.

Stay was going good until my last full day Monday the 21st, best weather day of the wknd, and I had to spend it somewhere else cause the pool areas where closed due to private event! Really? $350 a nite, and had to leave that beautiful pool! Not cool Hilton!!
Think it would of been mentioned when I booked!!!

OVERPRICED & OVERRATED!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Be prepared to NEVER experience: "the customer is always right" at this hotel!

We went here from 7/2-7/6 and we encountered an issue w/our room right off the bat, and were given one w/double beds instead of king. The customer service rep continued to argue saying that's what we chose. Um.. NO. Next day, we went thru the same thing w/SEVERAL employees.. basically WE were wrong, not them. We got thru to a higher manager who changed us to a king bed room BUT w/no balcony anymore. That's the best he could do at the time. SMDH

The rooms are VERY small and basic. NOT what you would expect of a fancy hotel. Also, we had to remind them to CLEAN OUR ROOM 2x during our stay. On top of that, even after they "cleaned," we would come back to see the same dirty towels still there, garbage not taken out, etc. You get better cleaning service at the Holiday Inn!!

EVERYTHING is very expensive here. From the drinks to food at the restaurants, to the deli style restaurant they have in the lobby. EVERYTHING. For example, a small Jimmy Dean breakfast egg sandwich was $8!

There are absolute NO freebies here. NONE. You have to pay a crap load of $$$ for EVERY SINGLE THING. Here's a brief list:

Parking: $25/day
Wifi: $14/day
Pay per view movies: $19/movie!
Chairs on beach: $10/chair
Umbrellas: $20/per

They had an "ice cream social" one day by the pool, which I thought would be a "treat" for their guests for the holiday. NOPE. They charged for that too!! Literally, 1 bite size brownie for $2 each!

AND on top of all that, this hotel adds an automatic tip to EVERYTHING!

This is the LEAST CONSUMER FRIENDLY HOTEL I've EVER been to!!! So GREEDY, so UNACCOMMODATING, so UNFRIENDLY.

Disappointing. Dated rooms. Charges for in room WiFi. Seriously.
Good beds. Fast room service.
Overall not worth the price unless booked at steep discount. Would prefer Trump at similar price.

The room was really nice, bed was comfy, bathroom spacious. Had a great balcony. The drinks in the bar are very expensive as are most of the restaurants and the food is not really worth the price.

I only stayed for 1 night but it's a really nice and beautiful Hotel heated pools and jacuzzi were nice and not to mention it's a few steps away from the beach. The only thing is that the room I got was under construction so I couldn't use the balcony so that was a little upsetting and I also ate at the restaurant Bristols burger and the food was not so good for the prices .

Very disappointed in this Hilton property. Over an hour in line to check in. Even though the check in is 4pm (later than most) one of our rooms wasn't ready. It was 5:30 until it was ready.

Top that off with balconies that are not open to use and Dish network TV that was offline very often. I will not be back to this subpar hotel. We'll stick with our usual spot, the Hilton Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale. Less than 10 miles away but light years ahead in service and quality.

The Diplomat Beach resort is a beautiful hotel, fairly modern, nice restaurants and on the beach. Absolutely breathtaking views and an enjoyable experience with very friendly and polite staff. Definitely going back....

the customer service was excellent- def makes a difference in your stay. our first room ended up smelling like cigarettes (even tho it's a non-smoking hotel) and they switched us to another right away, no q's asked. the staff is very informative and will give you a lot of recommendations.

Very nice hotel. Their decks were closed on a lot of rooms due to renovation, but it should be even better when you can use them again. The pool is great, and the bars are all nice. Great staff.

I got to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms with a spectacular view of the ocean. They have a gigantic pool with plenty of lounge chairs and and even several right on the sand, a few steps from the waves. Being located on the strip on Hollywood beach means pay to play. $38 per night to park the car was a little steep but this hotel is super-nice and sometimes it's worth it.

Expensive, charge you that secret "resort" fee on top of your expected room price. Rude service, overpriced inside shops and restaurants, and the pool outside is overtaken at 9am with a crowd that will give you a headache.

Whatever daily room rate you see, add to it: $30 resort fees + $30 parking + $20 beach umbrella.

In other words, I recommend if you are flying to FL and planning to stay here, its better to go to all inclusive resorts in Caribbean, it would cost less or about the same with better services!

Very disappointed. We stayed here for two nights after returning from a cruise. You could not get wifi unless you paid for it. We were charged 3.00 for four paper plates and four napkins tube delivered to our room. But to top it off it costed 175.00 dollars for the 4 of us to eat the breakfast buffet. You'd think that would be included in the 400 dollar per night room or the extra 35 dollar a night fee they charge you. The only positive thing I can say was upon check in the service was friendly. The service at the lil bakery coffee shop was very rude.
I am not one to write bad reviews but this stay was just horrible.
