We decided to stay at Crowne Plaza for the first time and give them a chance. I was traveling with my family we did not like our stay with them. I asked for a crib at my arrival and 2 hours later did not get it so I went to ask again. At the front desk there was a person who told me let me call housekeeping, as soon as we turn around the corner she hung up and we never got the crib. Bad customer service, no breakfast. The room was ok. If you have your family I would not recommend.

The hotel is quite big and has 13 floors. The front of the hotel is on Canal Street and the back of it overlooks the French quarter and Bourbon street. If you're staying in one of the rooms on the back side, you do get a great view, but you also get all the sounds and music from Bourbon street. The hotel provides you with ear plugs so that one can sleep comfortably. The hotel has a very nice and somewhat upscale restaurant. There's a pool also, which is on a higher floor (around the 5-6 floor). The rooms are of normal size. Our room was pretty clean. There are very thick curtains for a dark environment. The beds are quite comfortable as well as the bedding. There's a coffee machine with the capsules and the coffee was Lavazza, which I thought was pretty nice. There's no fridge or microwave. There were 2 safety boxes. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. There was no parking attached to the hotel building, but there are several parking lots/garages nearby the hotel. There's a vallet option for $47 overnight. This hotel is very close to everything- Starbucks right in front of it and Bourbon street right behind it. Walgreens and CVS very nearby, a wine and liquor store right next to the entrance of it.

This is NOT in any way a 4-star hotel. This is just a large 2 or 3-star at best. Almost no in-room amenities, issues with cleanliness, and very dated. The location is good, but be sure you NEVER pay their market rate.

Not your typical Crowne! Pool was closed all weekend. No microwave or fridge in deluxe room. Plus = Beds were very comfortable and Hotel is right in the middle of French Quater!

Very good hotel and staff. A little aggravated that someone turned AC in my room warmer while I was out on a day when it was 104 degrees outside. Parking cost is high. Nice people working at desk. Sherricka was especially polite and friendly. Nice door man.

The room was large and comfortable. I was in the old section of the hotel on the second floor. The only things I could see out my window were large air conditioning units. My room did not have a refrigerator. However for the lower price of the room, compared to other New Orleans hotels, I was well satisfied.

My visit has been a pleasant stay. I am here for work and the staff have been nice and very helpful. We had Dinner in the Bourbon House Restaurant that is attached. You have to try the Charbroiled Oysters and Strawberry Cheescake. Our catered lunches were very nice and the conference staff was very attentive. The room I stayed in was a very nice modern room. Others that stayed in the older historic rooms said they were nice even considering the closeness to the street. Right on Bourbon St is nice too.

A bit horror story - nothing worked out. Children bed was not available, just a comment that there were no movable beds available anymore. Breakfast plates were not clean. I booked car pick-up 5:45, and finally got it 6:27; naturally resulting being late for a meeting. Nobody owned the case, hotel blamed 3rd party provider. I left a shirt for cleaning, just to find 10 PM that it never left for cleaning; luckily I noticed it was not in room as nobody contacted about the shirt.

Not a major issues, but annoying as the reception was under occupied resulting a frequent queue.

I reserved one room type in the newly renovated building, and was given a room that when I opened the window looked straight into other rooms. They gave me a new room but for the diest 24 hours I had a really hard time with the smell coming from the AC. Everything is mostly clean, but when checking in everyone in Lobby was offered water but me, when I brought it up to the lady she got loud with me before offering water smh. The bellmen and one of the girls at the front desk in the evening Dessa I believe made up for anything I felt prior they were so friendly and inviting but it is now the 3rd day with no tv.

I wrote review while still in room. TV never worked for entire stay and housekeeping stole my rhinestone mask. I absolutely hate this hotel and would never recommend staying there.

Clean, large rooms. Location is great, on bourbon and canal, without all the noise. Close to Starbucks/McDonalds for a quick emergency food run. Beds are comfortable, bathroom was a good size. Only downside was that in both rooms our group had, both tub fixtures flooded the bathroom.

Would definitely stay here again.

We drove from Houston to New Orleans for New Year s Eve. The Crowne Plaza has an excelente location at right at the corner of Bourbon and Canal St. Perfect for the libation excursions around Bourbon St.

The hotel service was very good with good drinks at the bar in the ground floor.

Buffet breakfast for fixed price had limited options.

Enjoyable stay for a weekend getaway!

Awesome, Awesome, and Awesome service. Front desk staff was extremely accommodating from the time we checked in. Big shout out to Jerome for his outstanding service and professionalism. Great people person, thank you for making breakfast one to remember. An even bigger shout out to April at the front desk. She made my experience one that would not be forgotten. She fixed every issue that we experience with professionalism and a smile and followed up to ensure we were okay. Kudos to her and because of her we will continue to book at the Radisson. All company s should have an April. She is the real MVP! Thank you April and James, kudos to both of you.

Great location at Bourbon & Canal. My second time staying at this hotel and will stay again. Room was a little smaller than I expected but was clean and well-maintained. There was no refrigerator in a standard queen, but we survived without. Hotel staff pleasant and responsive to our needs. Will stay here again next time in New Orleans.

Horrible! Accidentally left my pillow in the room at checkout and the housekeeping was so high and drugged out they couldn't remember where they put it when I went back for it. The hotel staff wasn't very friendly either unless you were a crowne member. Won't stay here ever again. Plus we heard other guests complain about stuff being stolen from their room by housekeeping.

The lobby was clean and tidy. The doorman was cordial and so was the bell hop, even though we didn't use that service (bell desk is right by the entrance). The interior was nicely decorated with a more classy look and a little less modern.

The Astor is a beautiful historic hotel set on Canal Street and the enterence of Bourbon St. We stayed on the 4th floor which was just remodeled, new moderen decor and beautiful antique looking wood furniture. It felt very clean. The service was great! Eric the bell hop took care of our luggage while we parked out back, Piper in the resturant was so cute and proffessional, and the maintance man came up in minutes to fix our clogged toilet.

The hotel works great if you want to fill your cup in your room and walk Bourbon St or stand on the catwalk outside and people watch.

Now remember its in a tourist city, so you will be surrounded with tourist, whom are drunk, homeless, whom are drunk, and work staff just trying to work. Why else would you go to Bourbon St.?

This was our first time to NOLA and we had great time. Have breakfast at the many cafe's around Canal, spend the day exploring the swamps and Riverside Drive, and partied all night.....and repeat.

We hope next time we come to NOLA, we will see Eric, Piper, and the guys in the food truck in front of the hotel at 3am.

Hotel has a great location however it s also a curse because it s very noisy in spite of being on the 13 th floor. The room and corridors smell like mold and mildew. The shower and the bath tubs need maintenance. I kept complaining the tub doesn t drain , the water pressure is weak and the water leaks everywhere as soon as you turn it on. The service is terrible I sat at the restaurant to get breakfast for 20 minutes with no service, I asked for the manager who didn t seem interested at all at my story and brushed the whole thing off .
If I m coming back to New Orleans I will never stay at this hotel which represents a health hazard with the smell of mildew and mold everywhere including their bedding. I think it s old and needs major maintenance.

Checking in was a nightmare! The valet took an hour to get our vehicle!! They double charged my card for our room!! There really isn't much of a view so don't pay extra! The breakfast buffet was 20$a person! Food was good but the service was typical New Orleans fashion! Whenever they get around to it!

Horrible !! All the furniture is outdated. Besides the TV! No heat, moved rooms still no heat. About 7-8 quest in the lobby complaining about heat. Mgmt agreed to refund my stay. But after completing and moving my room. Rule of thumb $89 a night should have said it all cheap rooms will give you a unfun weekend! This is a HEADACHE hotel

Its a nice hotel, however the shower curtain rod was broken, there were issues with the elevators, and they charged us an early checkout fee after we had to cut our reservation short by 6 hours due to a family emergency. Definitely was not worth the money i spent for two nights including the valet parking. Only good thing about it was its location. Will not be staying there again.

Katie checked us in when we arrived and she was AMAZING. So helpful, told us about events going on in the area, we even got upgraded to a king suite for night! She is seriously awesome. And the room was spotless, all of the staff was helpful - we will definitely stay at this beautiful hotel again!

Having stayed at other Crowne Plaza across the US this one definitely lacks comfort. First upon check in we were given WiFi password which didn't work. The shower had hot water but took a while to warm up and after you were done, water would cover the bathroom floor. There was not a vent in the bathroom either. Being a rewards member you get used to certain perks like receiving a complimentary drink or cookie upon check in. Having maid service send complimentary snacks and I especially love the cocktail hour which was non existent at this location. The location is good, right on Canal street. Close enough to walk the French Quarter but also far away enough from all the noise to get a good night's rest.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!! When arriving to the hotel they asked that a card be put on file for a security deposit. I agreed to this, it was $150. My friend that I was staying with was the one who was charging the stay to her credit card but since I arrived before her I had to pay for the deposit in order to get into the room. We had a great weekend. Checked out on time , no damages to the room, no smoking in the room, etc. The room was just the way we found it. About 4 hours after checking out I received two emails from my bank stating I was charged $100 twice from the hotel. Called the hotel back to get in touch with the accounting department, no answer (the time I called was during normal business hours). I left a voicemail asking what these charges were for and my contact information. The next day goes by I see that the initial fee for the security deposit ($150) was not pending anymore but the two other charges of $100 were. I called the accounting department again, no answer. I decided to wait one more day before finally getting upset to see if the pending charges go away. Today I wake up with THREE final charges of $100 dollars. I called the accounting department repeated for about an hour (during normal business hours) NO RESPONSE. Called the hotel direct line and asked to speak to the general manager, NO ANSWER. I have no words. I have since called my credit card company to dispute the charges. Beautiful hotel and awesome location but management and staff is trash. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

Nice place to stay. It's located on Canal St. Just walk out the hotel and make a right and your right on Bourbon St. The room I stayed in was big with high ceilings. If you arrive early you can leave your bags until it's time to check in. The location was great, Across from shopping and the trolley.

Need exhaust fan in bathroom, TV guide, pens and/or stationery, higher water pressure, colder water temperature, better refrigerator, softer mattress... I did love the location and the bed pillows. The complimentary chocolate covered strawberries and wine were a pleasant surprise. However, the other things would have made my stay 5 stars.

I am incredibly disappointed and will stick to Hilton and SPG hotels from now on. I arrived with my husband before 9 am and we are still waiting in the room - 6.5 hours later- for our room. I travel regularly for work and I recognize that hotels cannot always accommodate early check-ins; what is unacceptable is the staff members attitudes (one woman YELLED at me from the check in desk when I asked a question about WiFi), and unprofessional behavior. I have now wasted an entire full day of my vacation. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other hotels in this area.

I thought NOLA was great- but unfortabtely the experience were limited to outside of the hotel. The Crowne Plaza was disaster.

There were a number of falsehoods that we encountered just for us to make a reservation. They didn t have a pool even through they said they did. (Called mgt and they said this was on the website, did a double check - IT IS NOT. Still advertising outdoor pool!) They not have self parking on site, and we weren t able to check in when they said.

When we called mgt about our concerns, we were given attitude and we could go to another hotel which is IMPOSSIBLE when it s nearly 5PM, streets are crowded, and everything else is booked! Not to mention having 13 mo old with us. The WHOLE reason we booked this place was that it was close to the aquarium with a pool which allows us to GET OFF THE STREETS with a child and onsite self parking.

It was so bad that my husband thought after 4 hrs of waiting we were going to be told that our room was given away (which wasn t the case) but the vibe that was being given. When I asked why we didn t receive a text altering us our room was ready- they couldn t give me a reason.

The rooms are outdated, dark and gives the feeling that it s a couple bad misktakes before being closed. Very dungeon-esque. My advice would be to look at their mgt training tactics and people skills.

They didn't give us the room we booked. Supposedly buying through Groupon does not guarantee selected room, it only sets the preference. This was not specified in the original offer so we were quite disappointed. Overall the hotel is nice and at the good location.

This place is so nice! Every one of the attendance we're so polite, and we're there to address all of your needs. The bar here is fantastic, definitely try to get a drink from Chris! The rooms here are nice, but it seems a little dangerous out front of the hotel. Just walked by anytime after 6 p.m. and you'll understand.

A metro type hotel with levels of accommodation to suit most anyone. Staff is very helpful (but may have been understaffed during our stay) and willing to please. Some hiccups with reservations but nothing that wasn't worked out. No fridge in our room and that's something that should be in all rooms, so only 4 stars.

Located right in the middle of everything! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean Disappointed that there was no fridge or microwave. We didn't try the in house restaurant because we heard negative things about it from other guests.

Not a high end hotel. The Valet service is awful and expensive. It took me 50 minutes for my car to be brought down and they broke my key fob. The valet service is $40/night and not commensurate with the level of service I expect for a nice hotel.

Rooms are okay, but nothing special. The location on the corner of bourbon st. makes it a superb location if you plan on spending lots of time in the french quarter.

Half of the hotel smelled like weed when we were there as well.

Very expensive, and the beds were not comfortable, we had to constantly ask for extra towels even though we booked a larger group in the suite. Everyone was very nice though and we had no other issues.

We got in and they said our room would be ready in 30 minutes, so my family sat and waited. After 30 minutes, they said it still isn't ready so we thought it couldn't be much longer. Then about am hour and a half went by of waiting and we ended up requesting our money and deposit back then going home. This place has terrible service, ran by terrible people, and I'm 99% sure they were bias and favored all the black people walking in and out ,practically naked. They all seemed to get their room immediately, so why couldn't we when we paid and reserved it over a month in advance?

I was on the fifth floor of the beautiful hotel, the room was wonderful, very clean and neat looking, everything in its place. The woman that helped me at the desk was patient and nice, but a little stressed because of the business of the lobby at checkin. The hotel is right on one of the main roads, but had a side entrance that is easily accessible.

Fire alarm went off at 0230 in the morning. False alarm!!! Evacuated down stairs from 13th floor. I learned my lesson. I tried to call front desk before leaving room and the phone did not work. Told front desk we were checking out at 0500. He said bellhop would be available. Well guess what? No bellhop They had the luggage carts locked up. So we had to make 3 trips down the elevator. I have been trying to reach management for over three weeks. Responded to email from Trisha
Lightell to call me and she never did. I left message on manager line. It says someone will call back in 48 hours. Well guess what? It's been over 48 hours and no phone call. Very disappointed with experience and customer service. HELP!!!

I just stayed there for 3 days... it was secure and wonderful. Didn't like it at first, but direct access to trolley and jelpful people at front desk.
There are no coffee makers, however. They need to make that a lobby thing

Beautiful hotel on the corner of canal and bourbon. Excellent decore, comfortable beds, clean, classy, and stylish. There are a few small inconveniences, not enough outlets or storage, but they are very small complaints indeed.

I liked my stay here. They allowed me to check-in a few hours early. The room I booked wasn't ready so I took what was available, of which they said was a "similar room." It wasn't. More like a downgrade when I compared the room descriptions and type later on. Especially for the amount that I paid. Though, the room was very clean and smelled great! One concern was there wasn't a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, or trash can in the room. Next time, I will stick with the initial check-in time for a room that I paid for.

The Crowne Plaza is a beautiful, comfortable hotel. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The rooms ate spacious. The location is perfect, on the edge of the French Quarter and facing the Business District, making the hotel a perfect walking distance from almost anything you could need in the city. There are no room refrigerators or microwaves, so plan accordingly. Make sure to check the key folder for the WiFi password!

September 21-23 my friends and I stayed at the Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter for a bachelorette party. We had a horrible experience from the beginning. Upon checking in we double checked that we were staying in one of their presidential suites. The front desk clerk confirmed that we were and gave us our keys. When we got upstairs and opened our door we quickly realized that this was indeed not a presidential suite. It was obvious the front desk lied. Any front desk clerk knows which of their rooms are their biggest and most expensive. Come to find out the room had been flooded, so they set us up in two different rooms across from one another. As we were setting up one of the girls calls downstairs so we could rent a refrigerator. It was there promptly, but as soon as we plugged it in and open the mini-fridge we saw someone s moldy left overs. It was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. The hotel apologized by giving us two free mini-fridges and promised us a complimentary meal at their restaurant downstairs. On the day of us checking out we decided to have lunch at the restaurant. We were told to charge it to the hotel room because it was complimentary. Come to find out one of the girls card was charged $300 for the lunch. She has thoroughly tried to contact the hotel. She has been hung on the phone by multiple people and has sent multiple emails with no responses. This is just outright inexcusable. I loved the city of New Orleans, but I will absolutely never stay at the Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Quarter again.

Great location right on the corner of canal and bourbon. Nice comfy room and bed. Love the atmosphere and look it has. It was very crowed a lot of people here but that wasn't a issue. Only cons me and my girlfriend can think of is the tub was small and the parking is extremely too high but I got a great deal on hot wire
