Most amazing place I've been to and revisit as often as possible. The multicultural crowds and legendary brass bands and the Originally based Blues that began in New Orleans. The people love their city, the pride runs rampant, and most ppl are so kind, it's just so happy and if u arent happy when u arrive no matter what you do You are going to have the greatest time of your life, and will be happy. You can enjoy it any day of the year. It doesnt have to be Mardi grass it's a party every day all day and night with no end time for serving alcohol on most holidays and bars and stores casinos all are 24/7
If u hvnt visited yet add this spot to your bucket list

Nice hotel in the middle of everything. The rooms are spacious and clean, but some things were a bit shabby. For example, the shower dripped constantly. Normally I wouldn't criticize, but this is an expensive hotel. If I was there to experience Bourbon Street, this is the place. I was there for a conference so the noise was a big, big downside. The conference facilities are nice though and they thoughtfully provide earplugs. If it wasn't for the conference, I would never choose to stay here.

Our first night we had sheets that didn't fit the bed. Second night appropriate sheets appeared. Ok girl in a good location. Wasn't too loud.

A person by the name of Sean Riley called our restraunt to ask if we give discounts for concierge, I stated that we give 20% off. He said that's it? I'm putting your menus in the trash and then proceeded to hang up the phone. A person that represents his work in such a disrespectful way should not be allowed a job in customer service. The staff of a buissness says a great deal about the business itself. I would recommend staying at a hotel with friendly staff that actually cares about how they treat people.

Sorry to say apart from the nice lobby and restaurant things did not go well for us. We waited for a elevator but it dud not arrive so we decided to take the stairs. On doing this We nearly got stuck between a hotel door and street fire etc but the door was locked so we could not exit luckily we kept the hotel door open as it was a no return door. Went to report this but guy on the desk didn't wNt yo know and when I asked to speak to the manager he would not come out of his office. When I spoke to the consigarg about where the restrooms were I was told to go up 2 levels. When I appeared surprised she said with attitude mist hotels were like this and as this was our 7th hotel this holiday thus wS the 1st nit to have a lobby restroom.

Great hotel and staff. Rooms are nice and right off Bourbon. Staff is fairly responsive, Though be warned valet parking is pricey compared to driving around the block and dropping direct into the same garage. Easy access to Bourbon or Canal.

This place is overall OK. There is zero parking or even a pull-in to unload EVEN if you are paying for valet parking. I had to stop in the street, block traffic for 30 mins while they called a valet to come out then unload luggage. Inside its satisfactory and the staff are nice. There's security at the front door to keep the random drunk people that are literally camped out by the front door from coming in. The staff are nice and the rooms are decent. The location is perfect if you want to be in the middle of all the action. I came in September so no where near at capacity during Mardi Gras. If you figure out the parking situation in advance you should be good.

I am completely WOWED by this hotel. The location cannot be beat, the staff were wonderfully friendly, welcoming, attentive, and helpful. I could not have had a better room if I picked it myself!
Food & Drinks; delicious! Room was impeccably clean. And the bed? Oh the bed! Never slept better!
I cannot say enough good about this place!
Y'all, I will never ever stay at any other NOLA hotel!
Everything was absolutely perfect!
Shout out to mgr. Mark Haines for your gracious hospitality. And thanks to Kenya for her special attention.
I'm definitely coming back!

This is not a family friendly hotel. There is no place to park and very difficult to even drop off a person. As soon as I got into the lobby, people were cursing and drinking all throughout the lobby area. My daughter did not feel safe at all. Then we had to stand in line for over ten minutes to get into an elevator. The room is extremely noisy! I feel like I am in the street and I am on the 13th floor! I would not recommend it for anyone traveling with young kids or handicapped.

Decor is lovely, however the bed was extremely firm and loud when I would roll over. Air conditioner unit wouldn't work as I set it, it seemed to be on its own schedule. They don't provide hand soap in the bathroom or facial soap with shower amenities. It was okay. If I had to stay again I would but not my favorite, especially not for the high price..

The most unpleasant experience I have ever had at an ihg property. I have stayed here many times and have spire elite status. I reserved 4 rooms for 11 nights total. Made multiple calls to make sure reservations were correct weeks previous to the stays, and all were messed up. All rooms were on different floors when requested nearby rooms. One elevator broken during entire stay. Had to call for maid service at 4pm since our room was ignored. Water stains on the ceiling. Kourtney at the front desk was the rudest customer service person I have ever encountered at a hotel. She is an embarrassing person to have as the face of customer service. The only bright spot was Michael or Matthew who checked us in. He was very pleasant. I was extremely disappointed. Wrote email to gm during my stay after room checkins were screwed up with no reply. Very disappointing staff. Property is okay.

Nice hotel with a lengthy history next to the top of Bourbon St and Royal St. Rooms are comfortable, air works well, our room has a slow sink drain and some iron deposit issues. The restaurant, Bourbon House, is attached to the hotel with very good food, service, with a great selection of bourbon and rye whiskeys. Restaurant vouchers are available only when making a reservation online and not available at the front desk according to my experience.

This hotel is beautiful and in a great location. However, the noise level was not great. You could hear street performers and the elevator all night long. We should have known when we saw the ear plugs on our bed when we arrived.
This is the absolute worst hotel in the French Qua...
This is the absolute worst hotel in the French Quarters. I booked a 3 night stay for 6 business executives and the staff was less than pleasant and the rooms were dirty. I am from New Orleans and all of my guests were from out-of-town. I was very displeased with the staff. No one was ever available for assistance, they were very unprofessional when I did get someone on the phone after being transferred to 6 different people, the check-in time was 4pm and my executives couldn't check in until 6pm. The rooms were very unclean even after having to wait an additional 2 hours to have them cleaned. We could not get our monies refunded and you are automatically charged for a 1 night stay upon booking. So you are stuck staying in that nasty hotel. I WILL NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL AGAIN! And I had planned on using this hotel for a huge convention for our company. I am glad I had this trial run before I locked our company into paying for 100+ "crappy" rooms. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME on this overcharged, dirty, less-than-pleasant-staff hotel. I am taking our money to the Marriott!

For the hotel to be a four star hotel, I would've thought there would be more in the rooms. You're charged extra if you want a mini fridge or microwave by the night. There's no breakfast included. We had to unload our car ourselves & they guys still expected a tip. The beds are hard, but comfortable. The floor was clean enough for me to walk around without socks on. Overall, the hotel just isn't worth the price.

This was the WORST customer service i have ever experienced at a hotel!!! The front desk agent told me that he couldn't accept my groupon.... and that I had to call groupon to ask them to verify the purchase and contact the hotel! He lied and said it was invalid and not acceptable. Once a manager showed up (Sharika- who was also very rude to us) she did research as to how it could be possible to use the groupon voucher. I then mentioned that I had called earlier that day to confirmed that a room would be reserved for us. She was shocked and kept starring at the computer screen. She clicked a few buttons.... and then walked away!!!! Not once mentioned to us that we were good and groupon was valid. I had to ask "Can i have an update??" And magically the initial rude gentleman said "You are set ans your groupon has been processed".... So was everything he first said all a lie??? Could the manager not give me eye contact and let me know what was going on?? Maybe we were unfortunate- it seemed like everyone else working at the desk was being friendly.

I love the air conditioning but thats it. The ice machine was broken all 4 days i was here. The iron in my room was broken. When i called down to the front desk multiple times no one answered. My friends got assigned a room in which someone was still living in there. The pool was small and filthy.

Ghetto. For this price your shampoo should not be bolted into the shower. Your view should never include the loading dock and the valets shouldn't move your car for fun (one of my guests cars was wrecked when they moved it to another garage without telling us!)
Booked a block of rooms for an event and we had nothing but problems. The room sizes (for the same type room) range from tiny to huge. Super inconsistent. We think part of the hotel used to be a parking garage. The staff even had trouble locating some of the rooms. The decor is dated, the lighting horrid, and many of the rooms smelled like mildew.

Great service for our large group of 15. We all got our drinks and food in great timing. I had the waiter order me their best fish dish and pick a bourbon for my old fashioned and he hit the nail on the head! The oysters were very fresh and delicious. We ordered almost every dessert and all of them were the perfect way to end our tasty meal!

Came here for an Emplyment Law seminar. The food was unlike any hotel food that I've ever had. I ate EVERYTHING. Salmon, steak, chicken. It was all delicious. My only gripe is that it was FREEZING inside Ballroom C and the coordior just outside.

Hotel located in the middle of New Orleans. Super location. Breakfast is amazing. Rooms are ok only reason a star is missing is my room had a leaky tap in the bathroom which was a bit annoying. The people of New Orleans are super friendly and helpful and the staff at the Crowne Plaza were no different. Would recommend.

I stayed there from July 3-July 7th, and my experience was mediocre at best. The lobby is beautiful, the room decent. My daughter spilled a little fruit punch on the bed, they made the bed everyday but never changed the sheets, the stain remained until we checked out! And don't ask for towels, you're going to wait sometime before you receive them, if you receive them at all. Oh, the room didn't have toilet tissue either, we just used the Kleenex because no one brought it up when I requested some. I will be returning next year for Essencefest but won't be staying here, just didn't feel safe here! People hang out on the outside of the hotel, and knock on your door at all times of the night, never again.

Horrible valet service: I read reviews prior but was hoping it wasnt as bad as they said.....I will NOTpay $54.00 a night and be treated rude by a unprofessional jerk !!
Trust the reviews & park somewhere else !!!! I've called the hotel manager to complain and i find it hard to believe that he's NEVER heard these complaints and THAT unprofessional valet supervisor is still servicing their guest.
Stayed here 9/15/17- 9/17/17 to celebrate my friends birthday, upon arrival we were greeted by the valet personnel who was very rude and very unprofessional I was told by one to pull forward and park and another very unorganized said " I told u to stop right here"! After attemping to ask him several questions about the parking and him becoming more rude, I asked for the supervisor which he stated HE was the supervisor. He began to load our bags onto the cart and enter ,We noticed that someone's keys were between some of our luggage, I pointed them out to him and he then attempted to locate THAT vehicle by pushing the security alarm to find it. As i entered the hotel to find someone to assist me, another female guest was standing with keys in her hand I then heard her say loudly "why did you snatch my keys out of my hand, I noticed that it was the rude supervisor she was talking to, I was then greeted by a bellman whom saw my frustration and was eager to assist me. The valet supervisor then came over and said "you believe that" referring to what i was saying about. The bellman confirmed that he was very unprofessional. I then notified the receptionist upon checkin, and she too was very aware of his behavior and was not shocked about what she heard. I then told her that i wanted to self park my truck once I got my luggage upstairs. The bellman then gave me info about the gargage behind the hotel, and gave us a complimentary breakfast voucher for my troubles.
Other than the unprofessional and rude valet service the hotel was clean, breakfast was delicious and the other employees very helpful and side door was right on Bourbon St. I would stay again, but valet WILL NOT park me.

As a loyal IHG member, I am thoroughly disgusted with this entire 3rd world country, wait, I mean Crowne Plaza French Quarter. The only acceptable portions of the hotel is the location and the lobby; everything else, utterly nauseating. There should be a zero star option.
Problems encountered or in general with this hotel:
1. Relocated rooms twice (1st broken toilet and air, 2nd room smelled of mold and cigar smoke)
2. Walking down the hallway was the equivalent to walking down Bourbon Street. Housekeeping neglected to clean any portions of the hallways to include removing room service cups and plates over the course of 5 days.
3. Carpets throughout the hotel are stained, worn, molded, and smelled.
4. Towels are rare (might need to bring your own). Towels were removed but not brought back. The last night we resorted to sharing towels because housekeeping never brought anymore up (after requesting).
5. On the 10th floor, there were exposed cables (not safety hazard) and removed sections of the ceiling to which sheetrock was actively falling on the floor and remained during my entire stay.
I contacted IHG the morning after my stay to discuss the matter and was told that due to basic amenities being offered, they're only willing to compensate 1/3 of the points equivalent to a free night. I think that is completely unreasonable. I was advised that had I contacted IHG Corp (not the actual customer service at the hotel) during my stay they would happily move me to an equivalent hotel in the area. IHG also has a strict policy for complaint compensation. Thank you for a policy brief but what are your policies against molded carpets, piss poor housekeeping, molded rooms, broken toilets and air, and all the complaints listed above? Outside of this piss poor hotel, my major concern is that the IHG brand has failed. The entire purpose of staying with a brand is to ensure a continuity of quality and if there is failure on behalf of the brand that loyalty is appropriately compensated. I m not asking for an entire free trip, but to say that my complaints which lapsed over 5 days (120 hours) is really only the equivalent to 8 hours is disrespectful. After this horrid experience and lackluster compensation from IHG, I m debating moving to another hotel brand and closing accounts with IHG.
Special Thank you to Shyyy and Sharice for assisting me during this stressful and humiliating matter you provided excellent customer service.

Overall the staff are very nice and helpful but the rooms leave much to be desired. We booked a room in the aster wing of the building which has a more rustic feel. Some of the brick is left exposed through the plaster, exposed beams insome rooms and original windows complete the look. The rooms are very small but well decorated. Initially we had a room overlooking Canal Street. It was extremely noisy! I could not sleep at all! The noise did not subside until 4am. We moved to a much quieter room the next night but the view was of boarded up windows and a brick wall.

Pros: Location. Can't get better than corner of canal & burbon. And the bed was really nice.
Cons: Heat in the room did not work, random hairs in the sink and the bathroom felt like it badly needed an upgrade. And rude front desk staff.

Updated old place. Had a room with a window that was not insulated. Heater did not work and it got chilly. Spiderwebs in vents and the corners of room.

There's no microwave, fridge, nor couch/sofa. We paid for queen beds and recieved standard/full size beds. Took half a day to get extra towels.. So yeah, only thing nice is the location. Also one of the bell hops got a nasty attitude toward me due to me not having cash on me for a tip.. It was unnecessary. And we had such a lovely view... Of the nasty alley way.. Closets are too close to the bed; you can barely open them or even use them. I wouldn't stay here again.

Pros: The room with the king sized bed was good size and comfortable. They were really great at the check in desk even at 4 A.M.(we were doing a cross country road trip and that's when we checked in). Its in a good center location and is walking distance everywhere downtown and for the price (69 a night) it was great for our purposes. They also had free WiFi. The location was also a plus. Only a 3-5 minute walk from Bourbon st and great food places.
Cons: They do not have free parking( they DO offer a valet service for 42$ a night).
They also do no offer free breakfast (we usually opt for a place that does but we decided to try a deal from priceline).
The biggest con for this hotel was the fact that we had a fire alarm wake us up at 10 A.M ( remember we checked in at 4 am.). It wouldn't have been+ a problem except for the fact that nobody told us it was going to happen. And when we called the front desk to ask how long it would be They just said about 10 minutes but didnt offer any type of apology for not informing us.
Their cleanliness was ok but could definitely be better.
Overall the place was nice. But the amenities they lack (free parking and b-fast) and cleanliness has made decide we would not stay here again.
