I would only stay here again if there were no other options. The lobby area is quite deceiving. It is lovely, then when you get to the rooms you find broken floor boards and bathroom tiles and a shower that does not stay hot past 4 mins.

The location of this hotel was amazing. Checking in took a bit of time, like 30 minutes. The rooms are good and the staff were friendly and helpful. One issue was that I needed something dry cleaned and a staff member told me that it would ready in the morning and it wasn't, in fact it wasn't even sent. But because of the location I'd come back here.
Good location for tourists. Right on Bourbon Street. Very pretty hotel with balconies you can go out on and watch the liveliness of Bourbon Street. Also they have a rooftop pool which is cool! The pool isn't very deep and relatively small, but the novelty of it being on the roof of the third floor is great.
Aside from he pool being small, and closing pretty early, the biggest complaint I had about the hotel was that there was no fridge or anything in the room. It is pretty rare for hotel rooms to have those, but I figured for the money we were paying that it might. Other than that, great location and awesome event halls.
Check-IN was great and easy but that's where it stopped. Second day our key card stopped working, we went downstairs and let them know and we got new cards (we were headed to dinner so we didn't check them). Come back and our new cards don't work, we had back down and let them know(we are not upset). They let us know they just got a new system and are having trouble, we totally understand and let them know that. They let us know that a manager has to give us new cards and it will be a few minutes. 30 minutes later we got our new cards, c I ukd of be worse. Let's move on to house keeping, day 3 with no service. So I see someone in the hallway and asked for new towels and let them know that no one has come to our room, they let me know that is their area but they will give me new towels. Next day still no service, we are out of everything on day 4 now. I go to front desk and wait in line, it's a long line (no biggie) but this guy walk up to the desk and gets service right away. So I walk up to the desk, about 5 minutes so go by and the guy asked if I needed something. I told him I did and how I didn't appreciate that fact he let the other guests cut in front of me, he didn't say anything and just repates himself. I asked how room service work,so he asked what my room number was and then blamed me for having the plaque on our door. I let him know we didn't and hadn't for days, he said he would send someone up in a few minutes, about an hour goes by so I call the front desk and they say they will take care of it right away. 30 minutes goes by so we just go.tot the front desk till they give us fresh towels and toiletries, no apologies just here you go. No Southern Hospitality here
We found a mouse in our room. Two stars because the manager on duty offered us another room and to comp us one nights stay because of the inconvenience.
The worst place in the world! No rooms were available on check in time and very very bad service and very unprofessional and the room's bathroom had a clogged sink! The worst place I have been to!
Enjoyed the mall and the movies never been to a theater that serves alcohol and they send waiters to your seat to take your orders and bring it to you. You just sat and enjoy the movie. I loved it a little pricey but really worth it.
Mice infested....I would give this hotel a zero if it was available. I should have never checked in when I arrived and heard an irate guest asking to speak to the manager because there was a rat in her room. The front desk employees were unresponsive and not attending to her concern. I was attending a conference and during one of the breakout sessions we saw a mouse scurrying across the room. I immediately checked out of the hotel! The front office employee said that the mice were seeking shelter since they are located on Bourbon Street and it was raining. This is just unacceptable!!
The stay there was very nice. Staff was very helpful. I want to say thank you to everyone who made our stay awesome. Particularly Eric,Terry.Rooms where very nice and clean smelled great.
I've stayed here before and loved my first trip. The building has an older feel with beautiful details and the location CANNOT BE BEAT right near Bourbon. We had a 2 Queen room. This time the beds were super MEH. There is some kind of protective liner under the bedding that is very noisy when you move. And we had trouble making the temperature comfortable. It's sad to see so much of the hotel roped off because of Covid. It's a GREAT place for a family. We brought our 2 boys. The restaurant downstairs was VERY nice and "safe" to walk to from your room as you don't have to go outside. Super fun to eat dinner and watch the busy hustle and bustle of Bourbon right out the window as the Big Brass Band chimed right outside. Great food (those grits! I'd never had a grit before). Great service.
Valet parking was horrible. We were rushed out of our car on the street with our bags not in front of the hotel. Also, we had to wait a several hours to get our car back. The last time to check out was at 11 so we could not stay in our room any more while we waited for our car. So like many other people and families we had to wait in the lobby for a long time. We had plans to see museums and the rest of New Orleans but now we can not. So if you come here and pay for Valet parking and you plan on doing anything on the day of your checkout, do not plan on doing anything but sit and wait all day for your car. Also, our toleit was super loud and made a horrible noise when you flushed it and we had to keep calling room service for towels and to List paper and coffee. I would not recommend this hotel.
Terrible. Uncomfortable beds. No hot water for showers. Cars are valeted 8 blocks away and understaffed. Waited 30 mins at 7am to get our car, then got shuttled to it on a bus. Never again .
Great location to access Bourbon street, rooms where clean and tidy, bathrooms pretty dated but otherwise all good. Check in can take a while so maybe try to arrive at earlier or later check in time. Also has valet parking and luggage storage which is very helpful.
Location! Location! Location! Perfect spot, well maintained. Staff very accommodating. Just wish we had a balcony & the air conditioning went cooler. Went to 68. I like to sleep 65.
NO HOT WATER!!! I called front desk and they said "oh yes ma'am they're working on boiler! " then why the hell did you put me in here. Just incase you don't know parking runs 40 bucks plus
Booked a double queen for $160 on the same day we arrived, which was better than I expected. Valet service is $30/day extra. The room was nothing extravagant (not even a microwave or fridge), but it was clean & fresh. The A/C was quiet & worked well. The bathroom & shower were clean & there was plenty of hot water. The bathroom had a magnifying vanity mirror & coffee maker, but no fan(?!) & the toilet was so loud everyone in French Quarter could hear it flush. The beds were very plush & comfortable. Lots of recent movie offerings but pricey. We were on the 9th floor & heard very little street noise & no noise from adjacent rooms. On our 2nd day the valet took 30 min to bring our car, but the mgr apologized & knocked $30 off the bill, so that was reasonable. All staff we encountered were friendly & courteous. Overall it was very pleasant & we would stay there again.
Nice hotel, room and view with a central location close to everything. Only negative and keeping it from 5 stars (for me) is the valet overnight parking is pricey, even for the area.
Waited several hours for check in, after request for early check-in. If you know its Mardi Gras hire a temp help to clean rooms. Meet the demand of the moment. My whole day was ruined, the turn over was unacceptable.
Nice hotel, the Crowne is close to everything. Inside the hotel, it's quiet and clean. Outside, it's New Orleans. Lots of construction right now in the area to get ready for the 300th birthday, but it doesn't really impact the hotel. The meeting space was perfect for our group of 125+. The ballroom could accommodate the entire group and the breakout rooms were flexible and easily modified to suit our needs. Restaurant and room service close by 11pm, so you have to go out if you're eating late. I'd stay here again.
Location great but this place have bed bugs. I took pictures. It left a rash on my sister's neck. Also the first day the manager on duty was so rude April 1 2018 at 4:30 pm. We were going to leave but we decided to stay. We saw the bed bugs on April 3 at 6 am on my sister and her husband.
We had a room on the 8th floor, in a street view room. We also had valet parking. Checking into the hotel was easy and quick. The room was clean, and the cleaning crew has been excellent. The only downside of the room is that the view is the cooling unit of a nearby building (cant see the street).
Comfortable, clean rooms excellent view of French Quarter from some hi floor rooms; beautiful lobby. I found front desk staff friendly and helpful;many nice restaurants and bars nearby.
I always thought a Crowne Plaza was supposed to be nice but not this one. Took major advantage of conference attendees by charging early check-in fees and ridiculously high deposit amounts. Room service was not good and selections were few. No fridge or microwave in the room. Room wasn't made up when I checked in. Asked for quiet zone but got put on 5th floor above jazz band performance area. Boss did not ask for quiet room but scored a 14th floor room. Doorman was only selectively friendly and made fun of me for limping. Beds were uncomfortable and linens were dingy. Elevators require card access but cards only work half the time on the readers. WiFi in meeting spaces was poor. Catering at conference was below poor. Some items were inedible and there was NO FLAVOR in anything. Most disgusting food I have EVER been served.
The only reason I'm giving this one star is because of the location. The location is awesome. The beds in the room were also nice but there was no fridge in the room. The reason I will never visit this hotel again is because of the valet parking. When I tried to pick up my car to retrieve some things it took them 2 hours to pull up my car. The next morning as I'm checking out of the hotel it took them an additional hour to bring my car up. They did waive the valet fee of $52.95 but because of them causing me valuable time to be missed on my trip I will never visit this hotel again.
It right at the corner of Canel and Bourbon were the party at but dont stay in the Alexa wing if you want piece and quit. No matter what floor your own your gonna hear music and sirens all night. But if you drink enough you will sleep like a baby.
follow up I have not had my last to msg i left returned. Ieaves me no choice but to cxl my IGH points card and any programs i am signed up for, and not stay with IGH again.
No hot water for 2 days, housekeeping doesn't clean rooms until 5pm, the rooms were small, and offered no amenities such as a microwave or refridgerator. When we checked in, front desk guy asked if we wanted a view but never disclosed that view meant listening to everything on bourbon street. We had to also continuously ask for ear plugs. The room was also chilly despite heat being on 78. I most likely will never stay at this establishment again.
Had just got to the room laid down fire alarm had to go down 13 stairs come to find out the elevator was on fire they sent us back to the room and it is still going off and nothing being told to the guess
Excellent accomodations, killer location, rooms are large, new furnishings, new beds, very clean, walk to anywhere in the French Quarter. Great service from hotel staff.
I saw the reviews on line for Crowne Plaza before we went. Cleanliness seemed to be the biggest complaint so I was a little worried. But our room was very clean. The common areas and pool were also very clean. The location (corner of Canal and Bourbon) was amazing. The room itself wasn't anything special and our room was right next to the pool, so we had no view. (It was really handy, tho, when we wanted to go to the pool.) Overall, I had no real complaints. It just was a nice, standard hotel.
So I stayed here for my birthday and was not impressed at all by the room. The staff was ok but the check in time was ridiculous. We had to switch rooms because there was a hole in the wall and stains in the carpet only to get a room where the air didn't work properly. I loved the city though lol. I had a great time outside of the room. I'm definitely coming back but I won't stay there.
Went the weekend of 4/12/13. Check in time was at 4 and there were no parking spots in front of the building. Rather than quickly unloading us they said we had to wait for a spot to become available. Where? On the street? The vallet and staff outside had no answer. Luckily I had friends that lived in the area. Had to rush to their house and change for a wedding at six. Sad to pay 200 bucks for a place that can't accommodate you during CHECK IN TIME RIGHT??
Did I mention that they told us about a "parking issue" as well? They couldn't fit anymore cars in their lots so they were double parking vehicles on Canal. We didn't officially arrive to our room well after 1130PM after the wedding reception was over and we had to take a cab to retrieve our car that we couldn't park in the place in which we were staying. They did NOTHING for us! We had to hail our own cab as well.
Long story short; stay away from this pathetic overpriced excuse for a hotel. It is good for location only and they know that. It exudes from their terrible attempt at customer service.
Had to have been one of the worst experiences of any hotel stays...room condition fine, but LOUD... check in process took about 15 min on a prepaid reservation. And then no hot water for morning shower. Ugh!
I had an excellent stay at the Crowne Plaza in the French Quarter! The staff was helpful and friendly, the room service was great (I got the Caesar salad and the bread pudding WHICH WAS AMAZING), and it was a really great location!
I booked and paid though priceline. found a $179 charge on my credit card for what i do not know and conveniently for them, there has not been anyone available that can resolve this matter on two separate calls.
We had a small issue with our room during check in, the staff very promptly handled it. We loved our room and the location. The staff is professional and courteous.
This is really and ideal location to day at, since you can walk out the front door and be maybe 100 feet from Bourbon Street. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond. It was rainy during our stay, and they were actively bringing umbrella bags to people and tossing the old. It was a nice gesture. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished.
Decent hotel. Very accommodating traveling with my mom and her service dog. They were great . This is also a very good location. Near a lot of landmarks.
We were able to check in early. The room was large enough & comfortable. The people in the next room had their music wayyyy too loud. Reported this to the front desk worker & they took care of it immediately. It is the perfect hotel just step away from Bourbon Street & alot of bands & restaurants. We also ate in the restaurant in the hotel which was delicious. This is about our 4th time to stay here. Would highly recommend it.
What a great location. Just steps from the French Quarter, close to the riverfront and street cars. The hotel staff we're friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. My only issue was with how high the bed was. Difficult for a short person to get in to bed each night.
The service is courteous. The twin room has standard amenities - coffee maker, hair dryer, ice machine, free 24 hours gym and pool (gym has several cardio machines but not weight training. Pool is pretty small. No one uses the pool)
The restaurant at the first floor has a pretty good service too. They accommodate my specific requests pretty well. They open at 6.30 am and breakfast buffet starts at 7.15 am (which is a bit different from what the staff at check in told me - 7 and 7.30 am).
The location is great for walking around to feel the city. But that comes with the noise from music played at night. I think it is pretty loud - I could hear it (a little bit) on 9th floor with earplugs in. If you mind about that you should ask to stay on high floors and the right side of the hotel.
Very professional staff. Room clean and well configured. Fourth floor over Bourbon Street but still quiet. Second floor balcony to watch the action. Great restaurant.
Nice hotel in a great location by the French Quarter. Our room was very clean and newly renovated. We had a view of the side of a building and the room was very small. There are also no refrigerators in the rooms.
Room smelled like mildew, bad towels, really chest t.p., bed and pillows were really hard, and front desk lady that checked us in was kind of rude, definitely not pleasant. Room size was good, hotel in nice, bar was nice, good bloody Mary's. Over all okay - have stayed at far worse, but definitely nicer
