I checked my credit, and saw that I lost 40 points on it which is sad because i was approved for a house loan.(Not Anymore) I was really upset and i then did researched who the credit collection was and paid them back. I have not heard 1 word from this collection agency, they did not do a very good job contacting me and if they would have, i would have paid it instantly. I do appreciate how nice they treated me during our conversation but you could have contacted me FIRST before damaging my credit.
$20 debt to suddenlink was taken off a year ago, but Credit Control Corp doesn't seem to have time to remove it.
Company never notified me of a debt and never contacted me to collect.
I had past due hospital bills and Credit Control Corp promptly accepted payment.
I'd I ever need to call they are very respectful and kind. They make sure I have all of the information and resources I need.
They have also reduced the amounts of debts for me by hundreds of dollars. They do their job and I cant hold that against them. Any issues I have had have not been with credit Corp it's been with the billing offices of the companies that sent credit Corp the debt.
This is definitely one of the better debt collector agencies.
These crooks have tried to put a collection on my credit report. You have to fight these debt buyers swiftly. Know your rights people and keep your credit in good health. Oh and I had it removed because they weren t the original creditor. BOOYA
They're a third party collections company that does nothing but blow smoke. They called for a nonexistent debt from Cox. Cox collects debts themselves, not through a third party. They don't use an agency. These people are liars and crooks. Don't give them any of your info. Go through first party collectors.
They have been working with me on how to recover and get my debt paid from having no insurance. Every month my payments are made my credit score gets better. Everyone saying they called the original company and that company stated they had no bill well that's the truth, the credit collection agency bought the account from them. It clears it through say Cox, but the debt is still owed just to a different corporation at that point. They are always very polite and helpful. I set payment plans that will have all my debt paid off in a timely manner and have a direct number to the worker who always helps me so if I can make an extra payment I can do so with ease.
These crooks aren't even open on weekends. I told them when I received the letter in the mail this was a false debt. I disputed it at that point they told me they would look into it and call me back. I never received a call back and it was added to my credit as a collection today. This is a false debt on my identity and it is deplorable a company makes it this difficult to deal with
NEVER use Cox Cable because even if you return all your equipment and pay your last bill you will have to deal with this horrible company that takes pleasure in attempting to destroy your credit. Even with proof of payment to Cox and receipts for return of equipment they still refuse to remove an invalid collection.
Missy is very cordial and helpful. Great experience with her when I was settling a collections bill. Thanks!
I have been trying to settle an account and everytime I reach out to them and provide them with the information that is on Credit Karma they cant seem to find me. They dont have any personal information in their system, so if thats case then why the hell their name is all over my credit impacting it negatively
They told me that they don't report to the bureaus
Not true
Then when I called they said they could not fine the account
These people were nice to me, and took care of what I needed. Problem was, COX sent them after me. For not returning my equipment, WHICH I DID. I ended up staying on the phone for 45 Min. With COX. And they over looked a note in their system on my old account saying I had returned it. Now they have to send a form out and resolve the issue. I had everything basically resolved. COX was very apologetic. This company was easy to work with though. Thanks
I had the most pleasant experience a person could have with Patti a few moments ago.
I received a bill in the mail today On a service that I never seen or never even heard of!! this is absurd I've never even heard of the company they say i owe money too! How is this possible??? Now they're threatening it's gonna go To a credit reporting agency?? How can someone send you a bill to a place you never even went to!!
Tried to pay two bills. One bill was mine and one was my husband. My husbands bill was paid with no problems. The second bill I needed to pay was missing my account number so I called back to get my account number. The representative( Mrs.CRUZ) was very rude. She told me I had to pay my husband bill and my bill together because she just joined our accounts. I told her I already paid his bill I needed to pay mine. She then said I could not pay my bill for 2 days since she joined the accounts because its the law since we are married. Now I have to wait 2 days to pay my bill because Mrs. Cruz wanted to be malicious. Thanks for nothing.
Credit Control Corp. was very easy to work with. The web portal made it easy to make a payment and the lady I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant and helpful (unfortunately I forgot her name). I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they report to all three credit bureaus fairly often.
I was really worried about how my phone call to pay off my medical collections with them was going to go based on these reviews but I am pleased to say Ms. Denise was so pleasant and I was able to handle my business with them in less than 10 minutes. Thank you !
Yes it's a debt collection agency but they have worked with me in trying to get my medical bills paid off have not been harassing or threatening. They send me a monthly statement and today Missy helped me get on an auto payment plan to pay off my stuff quicker and more manageable for my budget. So for a collection agency they are the best I have dealt with.
This company has been harassing me for someone else s debt for four months. They call at all hours of the day and evening, even after 8PM which, if I m not mistaken, is against the FTC rules on making calls. They use a robo-caller that tells you to call them back. When I finally reached them, they wanted me to give them a ton of information about my spouse but wouldn t tell me why up front. It seemed fishy so I asked them if they d sent us a letter in the mail. The street address she gave me was nowhere my spouse or I have ever lived and she said I was lying. As a military veteran, I take such claims pretty seriously. I don t lie and neither does my spouse and we certainly don t skip out on bills. I asked the representative for the year the individual they re looking for was born. The birth year was a decade before my spouse was even born. Again, I explained that they have the wrong person and they claimed they d take our number off the list. That was last month. Now they re hounding me again. This time, though, I m filing a complaint against them with the FTC in which they ll be fined $500 for everytime they call us to harass us for some other person s debt.
They destroyed my credit. I may become homeless because of them. I not only paid my bill in full to frontier, but I overpaid, resolved the issue and have proof. They never contacted me and destroyed my perfect credit of 35 years and I will not be able to send my daughters to college because I cannot get a loan. My life is ruined. They never contacted me ever. I have proof the bill was paid twice. I will be suing them and look forward to putting the owner and all the workers out of business. Contact me so we can ruin them for how they ruined us. I am contacting the Newport news newspapers, and the congress people for their neighborhood. My perfect credit score of 850 is now in the very low 700's and they contacted all of my credit companies. I am ruined and there was never a debt. God help us all put them put of business.
Called me 15 times. Asked for my phone number at the beginning of every call even though they were calling it, and asked for my full legal name. Shouldn t they know that if they are debt collectors??? Every single time I called back the same woman picked up and told me that she had a different name every time... jasmine, Sarah, Josline... a complete nuisance.. shut these losers down...
Just like someone mentioned below, they do not give you any details. As if I am supposed to volunteer my information over the phone to just anyone. The lady told me "you called me you should know who we are". Yes I called them but it was to return the missed call I had received. Then she told me she couldn't hear me and hung up the phone. I called back and was given the proper information. The first person earned them a one star.
These women all have their panties in a bunch. They are rude as ever and quite a few of them refused to give me information I was asking for. Nonetheless... This is what you can expect from some people in this line of business. I will say for anyone who truly don't have the money to pay for the debt.... You can ask the original creditor to forgive the debt and please be nice about it because it's not something you are entitled to but something that is at their discretion. Or if you credit is screwed for many years to come . Just file bankruptcy and be done with all of you dischargeable debt like medical, credit card etc. Good luck dealing with the folks cause you will need ever ouce of it .
i pay twice. one TO frontier. One to Credit Control Corporation. then after 3 months i pay clear. they report me.
I just talk to Dawn,She's Very Kind,They Really Help Me And
Understand My Situation and I
Ask there address and they give
It to me and also my edp acc.no.
Thank You So Much For Kindness
And Patience,I dont drive,my bebe and my friends work too.
I had gotten sick and unfortunately many of my doctors Bill's I can not afford dur to high deductibles $3500. They continue to send derogatory remarks to credit agencies over and over and over. Try to set up arrangements and they continue to send derogatory remarks like they trying to keep you poor unable to do anything credit wise. These people don't care about anything but money and one day they will get treated the same
I called to pay my debt and was immediately met with threats and accusations. Why would you insult the person trying to give you money?
Both of the ladies that I spoke with were rude and didn t help me. Bad service!!!!
they call and call. l have no debts, and they call 3 times a day. Scam, its a Scam. They will be sued if they keep calling me
Con Artists. They can't tell you any details, just want you pay money for bills a disorganized hospital never sent.
They never noticed me before posting to credit report and I paid in full and was told they will fix it by never did
a very wicked lady on the phone, dont pay them a coin!!!!!!
By far the worst company ever. They can t email you a paid in full letter, won t allow you to pick it up in person and they won t expedite anything to you. They have no solutions and don t try to help there customers. They call you at all kinds of hours but won t actually help the paying customers. DO BETTER!
So. Here I am, sitting on a debt I already settled with the company, and here they are on my report not once, but three times. Just amazing. Triple negative on my report, and I have contacted them several times. Not a single response back. Always on hold for an ungodly amount of time, or they say I'm not on file, if I'm not on file, REMOVE ME FROM YOUR LIST
I had some medical issues and was out of work and got behind on bills. Unfortunately 2 bills went to collections. I called credit control today and had to speak to 2 different departments and both ladies were very helpful. I was really worried after reading reviews but it was painless.
Company is fundamentally flawed and should just go out of business!
We never received a bill or collection notice for a medical visit in 2017
I worked along with this Company from 5/2003 up to 10/2014, when I was with Cox and they were very helpful assisting with the customers. If there were issues we both checked into the matter to get it solved.
After settling an account with them from a huge mistake someone else made I received a giant bill with no explanation on where its coming from.
They're frauds. They called me & when I asked who they were, the tramp said she was from RNB Corp & I left my number to call them. She asked me for my d.o.b. I said "I'm not giving you my information, who are you?" She said fine, then I won't give you mine, so I said by & hung up. Then I looked up the number & it's this company, so I read the reviews & know she has the wrong person because I don't owe anybody. People, please know that even if you do owe a bill, a collection agency has no legal rights to contact and/or collect from you. Google credit dispute verification sample letters & send it to them certified mail asking them to send you legal contacts you entered in with them promising to pay them anything. Also send them to each credit bureau. If they can't, by law it has to be removed within 30 days. And NEVER sign any letter you send (they'll use it to compare signatures on docs), instead, send a copy of your social security card & license to the credit bureau ONLY, not the collection agency, so they know that it's you. Hope this helps! Other than that, seek a financial advisor. Good luck!
Considering they are a debt collector I called today and spoke with Mrs. West in the Medical billing department. Very friendly was able to resolve my issue.
Your robo calls are annoying and no matter how many times you are told this a wrong number, you call back! To those that do owe, beware. It is likely that they bought your debt and if you pay, your score will not improve because the debt no longer belongs to who you owe. The debt now belongs to these folks, and your original will receive only what the debt was bought for! Look up Bud Higgs the credit expert and learn the truth about these collectors.
The lady I had a conversation with was extremely rude. She spoke to me like I was a child. I worked for a debt collection agency when I was 21, so I think I can understand a few big words. They lie, try to break you down, and scare you instead of trying to work with you.
I have no problem paying bills that I owe - truly owe - but not when I see they tagged my credit report for a mistake on the first companys behalf. Imagine being annoyed and confused when all of the notes for ALL of the errors and billing issues from transferring services from one home to another are clearly notated, yet Ms. Tasha Winters has an ego problem and will not let you speak, and continuously interrupts you. To make it better, she denies you to speak to anyone else and will not transfer you. Ms. Winters - you need to look for another job that you do NOT need to interact with customers! In ten years, you are by far one of the worth CSR's I have ever come into contact with. A customer is a customer- no matter what!
They didn t want to negotiate or mail me a bill. I hope when it s paid off they take it off the credit report. You will collect more being nice.
Fu*cking scum. Please know law before you speak.medical billing department billed my insurance using a incorrect line code and My insurance rejected the bill and they sent the bill to collections.Telling me what i got done over the is against hippa law.
Have a discharged bankruptcy, and they have thus far refused to remove a debt from my credit report that was included in my discharge, so its lowering my score. Ive disputed it 2x so far to no avail, so clearly I'm going to have to call them and get ignorant about it.
I am trying to settle an account that did not belong to me and even I sent them 2 money orders to settle the account they are sending the money back to me and I am ready to hire an attorney who does consumer debt even of the the employee shout it at me so I am very upset for that but Ill keep you posted.
A TOTAL scam!! I called cox because it made me nervous reading the reviews of this place, and they said I had no balance...interesting. And there is no way to dispute it since I never received a letter in the first place
I owed them for a medical bill. I didn't have my EDP number so they looked it up for me and told me I should pay it online since there's a $7 charge to pay by phone. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and they were very nice.
A medical billing department billed my insurance using a misspelling of my name and an out dated address. My insurance rejected the bill and they sent the bill to collections. It was many months later that the first bill was forwarded to my correct address. Confused, I called the billing office and they apologized and corrected the information and re-billed to my insurance. While I waiting for the insurance payment to go through, the bill was inappropriately reported to my credit as a negative item despite the agreement to take the bill out of collections. I received a bill for the co-payment of 22.00 dollars and paid promptly. The remaining $342.00 was paid by my insurance company. I contacted the billing department again to say that the item was not only still on my credit report, but it was also showing as unpaid. All of this is a direct result of a billing error and I have paid the price. I have an upcoming surgery and was not covered by care credit because of this negative item. I have routinely called both the collection agency and the billing department to resolve the issue and yet, the billing department tells me, "we asked them to remove it all from your credit" and the collection department say, "we have not heard anything from them. The bill stands as valid. Perhaps this is a different service date." Credit Control Corp treats me as if I am lying and talks condescendingly to me every time I speak with them. Mind you, I request to speak to a manager each time. The managers behave far worse than their own subordinates. When a company uses it's position to exert a negative impact on the livelihood of a consumer, whether an account is owed legitimately or not, they are behaving outside of ethical boundaries. I feel strongly that these individuals should be held accountable for the damage they have done to the lives of so many consumers. I've done nothing wrong and did not avoid payment. The billing department made a mistake, corrected it, and now the collections department is exploiting it. If they can't talk to me respectfully, then they will have to contend with an attorney instead. It should be noted, that I challenged this item with the credit bureau as well when I felt that working directly with the billing and collection departments was getting me nowhere. Transunion recently notified me that the collection agency verified the bill as accurate, which tells me that they did not properly investigate the legitimacy of the collection item.
One of the ladies that work there is rude as hell; every time I tried to talk and explain to her my situation she kept cutting me off and talking over me, LIKE DAMN, let me talk. It got so repetitive that I got annoyed and hung up on her... she kept telling me that the place is required to take my insurance, okay, I understand that but they didn t because I know for a fact at that time I had/have Medicaid, WHICH SHOULD'VE COVERED MY BILL.... just very unprofessional, annoying, and very ditzy workers.
Sent my account to collections without even speaking to me. I they said I didn't return a phone modem I never owned.
These people were fine the problem was COX who received all my equipment and final payments and assured me my account was closed then turned me over to these people for what they claimed was money due. It seems Cox makes it their regular practice to do this to departing customers and there is no recourse if you want to keep your good credit rating. Shame on Cox!
Put a negative credit on my credit score but not one time did they contract me about the money owed and iI paid when I pay it like every one else it stays on my credit.
Two reports to collections for bills Riverside health system failed to bill to insurance.
They keep things on your credit that should be removed. When you try to get a copy of their messup, the only option is to receive it by mail. Which I have not recieved yet. I know their job is to collect money but do your job and take what dont need to be on peoples credit OFF.Also find a way to receive updated information better!!
Awful company I called to see why I had a medical bill placed and the lady was just nasty with me. Corporation my behind they are undertrained people. When I asked for an itemized statement she got an attitude with me. I will be in touch with the better business bureau about this company they are no help at all and needs to be shut down. 1 Star because I couldn't give them a -10 stars rating that how awful and rude they are.
They are a bunch of D**ks, calling all night and ruined my credit. They are going to get 1 dollar a month forever.
I've called them several times and I keep being put on hold and when I did get through one lady had the nerve to tell me that had I paid my bill she wouldn't have to deal with me and that I should learn to pay my f#$# bills if I don't like dealing with collectors! The only reason they got one star is because I had to rate in order to post.
I have already paid my Medical bill but seems like they're not doing their job right and called me to pay my bill again. I wondered that lady who talked to me doesn't understand english. I told her I already paid my bill online, but she kept asking me when am I gonna pay my bill. Couple days later they send me a bill, which I already paid 2 weeks ago.
I have submitted insurance information to the doctor offices and tried to talk to them about billing errors. Didn't care just want the money. Am almost done paying off doctor offices mistakes.
I have worked in AR/Collections for years and this company does it all wrong. My hospital bill shouldn t have gone to them in the first place and after over a month of going back and forth they still submitted the inaccurate balance to my credit report. I had to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to get it removed.
Would def rate them "no stars," received their bill but paid directly to medical office, so I cleared my account balance of a little over 140.00. Called the credit Corp and left message letting them know debt was already paid in full to the doctors office. Well a little over a week later I get a bill that now says I owe them a bill of over $1200.00 for various creditors???? Huh? Tried to call and again had to leave a message. A company that is not good with keeping records is a company I would definitely never give my credit card info too. I am going to write them a letter letting them know they are mistaken, but something tells me dealing with them is going to be a huge headache. Also must add that my doctors office first bill to me did was not put through insurance so I had to wait for the "real" bill which took forever. Technically I am not 30 days late on a bill I am waiting for them to accurately fix!
This companies customer services is terrible, yes. But I did owe in a medical bill, recieved calls from Credit Corp reps, and was advised to disregard it; that insurance would handle it or it was possibly a scam. Credit Corp reported the debt and it impacted my credit score negatively. I was able to dispute the debt so that it could be removed from my report. Regardless, (its no longer on my reports), Credit Corp is legit, has the contract to my debt (verified through institution billing dept.), and I am currently paying it online with no problems. They also send me monthly statements verifying the balance. If you care about maintaining good credit standings, verify the debt with the original source and make payments. So what if the reps have poor personalities. They're doing theirs jobs. Poorly but nonetheless...
I had health insurance and was still sent to collections without my knowledge. No help from these people on figuring anything out either. I paid everything AGAIN and after it was reported paid to my credit report, it s just been reported AGAIN as delinquent on my credit report, trashing my credit. I WILL NOT PAY A THIRD TIME!! I m going through disputing it all with the credit bureaus themselves. What a headache for absolutely no reason.
I have called many times and have paid off my debt yet they have the account marked as open and unpaid. I have all receipts from payment. This has negatively affected my credit score after I paid it off!
Somehow some way against the odds of what the reviews said my wife and I were able to get a $10 medical bill error removed from our credit records. Having a good attitude pays off sonetimes.
Paid my bill in full and was told it would be removed from my credit record in 30-45 days. After the allotted time I called back and asked why it was still on there, the rude lady on the other end said it ll stay on there for 7 years even though it was paid off and if I had paid my bill it wouldn t of been put on there in the first place. I hope karma pays her a visit one day. Too bad it doesn t let you give negative stars......if you have the misfortune of having to deal with these people make sure you record the call Incase they deny things like they did to me.
This company is very rude... Ms. Howard answered the phone she was very rude I actually had her on speaker so that my mom could hear the call she said wait a minute I waited for like 4 minutes then she breathes and says now you have my attention she was very unprofessional she was acting like she didn t want to be bothered I asked for a Supervisor she refused to let me speak to one she told me I had to hang up and call back. If I could give this company no stars I would.
I gave five stars however that could change. I started with five because the lady Becky was very professional I gave her my name and she was able to quickly and clearly list the bills I owed and I knew they were mine by where they were from. I asked her to send them to my mailing address and she said that was fine. I will not lie people call so many times from credit control, and I was worried if it was real, however like I mentioned they were my bills, I took care of them! Thanks Becky for making this an easy process. She also didn t ask personal questions other than my name to confirm, and I just gave her my first name and she knew the rest of my name!
