Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. I love the blades but can not stand the waiting time to recieve a replacement for a broken blade. I was told they don't carry any knives at the warehouse and will have to wait 7-10 business days to get a replacement knife. It has been two weeks and still no call. I have tried calling THREE different departments trying to reach a representative with no luck. I have left messages with no return call. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. I will undoubtebly switch to Kershaw knives for the rest of my life solely for the customer service they provide. They will sharpen or replace your blade on the spot, no 7-10 business days B.S. I went into the Kershaw warranty department with a friend and they replaced his knife and gave him a $49.99 knife for free just because of the hastle. GERBER TAKE SOME LESSONS.

I had a DET multi-tool that I was issued on deployment. This thing was well used, to the point that the whole thing was loose. I had to push blades toward the center to get the handles together. I sent it in as a warranty service request and asked that it be replaced with another model as I no longer have a use for that model. They sent me the model I requested with no questions asked and at no charge. This is great customer service. I will continue to use and recommend Gerber products. Thank you Gerber, for a great product and great service.

Dell is a terrible manager. I've never experienced worse customer service in my life, and he should not be working for this company. He is extremely disrespectful towards employees, and this deserves immediate attention.

The quality of the product seems to be going downhill, and their customer service is HORRIBLE!
I bought a really nice Gerber knife online a couple years ago, the pocket clip broke about 6 months ago. after several emails back and forth and trying to call and talk to a real person (nearly impossible) i finally have my replacement. at one point UPS lost my package, and even though i was told by UPS that the shipper must file a claim, Gerber refused to do so. Luckily I have an awesome UPS guy and he was able to track it down for me. When this new knife eventually needs to be replaced, it will not be another Gerber.

I've been using Gurber knives and Axes for 10+ years. They are solid. The warrenty department is fantastic and the company really cares about your experience with thier gear. Awesome job Gerber. Keep it up.

Gerber Gear's manufacturing shop is located at 14200 SW 72nd Ave, in Portland, OR. I do not believe that they have a retail shop there still, but they can help you figure out what's best for your needs and they can do regular and warranty work or replacements.

We have several Gerber knives, and they are all danged sharp and easy to keep that way. My personal favorite for daily carry is the Freeman Guider folder -- I have medium-size, strong hands and they like the design and weight of this knife very much.

The rubberized TacHide finish of the handle provides great grip, and the larger finger grooves accommodate my somewhat stubby finger quite nicely.

No wobble to the blade and it opens fairly smoothly with a little pressure on the thumb stud and a flick of the wrist.

I like their products and policy.

This isn't for any retail shopping. This is the manufacturing facility and office. You can bring in your Gerber gear for repairs and maintenance. They do have an excellent front desk. The manufacturing facility is awesome and they do world class work.

These knives are by far the best I ve ever owned. I m usually pretty rough on knives because I believe in functionality over looking pretty. That being said, Gerber s customer service is AMAZING! I recently had the spring break in my downrange tanto. I turned it in and asked to pay for the replacement (I made an unintelligent decision and tried to take it apart to fix it). They did not fix it. THEY GAVE ME A WHOLE NEW ONE!!! I cannot express how happy I was to open that box! Gerber truly stands behind their product and they have solidified my patronage for life! Thank you Gerber!!!

There was a time when this would have been a 5 Star review. Then my belt clip broke. Sent in a warranty claim, nothing. Called, was told I would be contacted back. Nothing again. Every call I've made since then has gone unreturned. I loved my knife, especially since it has sentimental value (a wedding gift from someone very special). I have since switched to Kershaw. I've heard they honor their warranty.

Grace is the young woman at the front who greets you as you come in. She is so polite and so helpful. Wonderful attitude and represents your company so well. She deserves a raise. We will look forward to coming back.

I recently bought a lightweight gerber folding knife after losing my previous folding knife that I had owned for a decade. It is absolutely the best knife I have ever bought. Lightweight, sharp and strong steel make it the folding knife to have! You cannot compete for price and quality when it comes to the product. An absolute best buy!

Sure they offer a lifetime warranty. They shouldn't have to if their products held up like they used to. I broke the screw driver medium blade on one tool that a regular screw driver had no problem with, and the modern blades don't hold an edge to save their lives. Apparently they're aware of this and the newer tools have replaceable blade inserts, which if you're cutting thick wire, then the jaws will break... This location, despite being the only US factory will NOT exchange a broken tool, they require you to wait 7 - 10 business days so they can ship you a tool from their Tennessee warehouse that they made in Portland, and has been shipped to Tennessee. Because that's being smart and efficient... I wish Benchmade made a multi-tool, then it'd stay sharp, and they offer walk in service.
