This was my first time at complexions. I scheduled a massage and not only was it a wonderful massage, the whole experience was amazing. The robes, slippers, herbal tea, lemon water, sauna, steam room, amazing shower, etc. made everything feel so luxurious. I loved it and will definitely go back.

Ellie does a great job cutting my curly, difficult hair!! And chatting with her during each visit is always fun. Highly recommend her for short hair enthusiasts & curly folks. The reception desk is always pleasant & professional. And the email reminders rock.

Terrible service. I booked a bridal party spa day ...

Terrible service. I booked a bridal party spa day here two months in advance. In order to book the service for a bridal party a contract was signed and I had to put down a $100 deposit. I paid the deposit and thought everything was good to go........wrong!

The day of the bridal party spa day one of the out of state bridesmaids got a phone call from Complexions (Albany) saying her service was cancelled. Then we got a call that the service could be done at 5:00, I told them that would not work because we had our rehearsal for the wedding at 5. Finally, they were able to get someone to come in and we could all get our services.

Upon arriving at the spa our services were good, but the front desk was terrible. My sister and I wanted to split the cost of our cousin's (the brides) service. The lady at the desk said that was so hard. We waited patiently for 15 minutes while we were told that what we were asking for was too hard and were getting eye rolls from the front desk. The girl who was being trained for the front desk understood what we were asking but her superior did not. After 15 minutes I said I had enough. I did not understand what was so hard about taking a total and dividing it in half and splitting it on two tabs. I also said that I was disappointed that on the day of our appointments that our spa appointment was cancelled when we signed a contract months in advance. The superior at the front desk told me that I was lucky and that they were accommodating because they found someone to do the service! (Are you kidding me-- I booked this months in advance??!! It's called doing your job.)

I also asked to speak to the manager and the lady at the front desk told me I could wait until she returned and refused to give me her number.

This was a terrible experience. I will never give this place my business again. The services are good, but the people running the front desk are terrible and are ruining this business.

Go someplace else where you will be valued as a customer.

I give this "Spa" a "POOR" quality of service. I have to say that even after speaking via email with the owner about the worst haircut I have ever received by one of her "master stylists," then going back 2 more times within a 10 day period to correct the cut just recently, it became apparent that the owner, Denise Dubois, is not interested in making her customers happy and satisfied. What is most important to her is money. The hair salon manager, Ellie, saw my hair and said, "it is choppy... just go through the growing pains." WHAT????? I went to her to get a short haircut in order to correct the problem. It is very sad when an owner simply allows this type of behavior from her staff to occur. I've been at the salon/spa for other services, which I would give a "Good" quality review to. However, this was awful and I would say as some other prior clients have told me, STAY AWAY FROM COMPLEXIONS!!! The picture of me was taken minutes after an amazing haircut, which was done with care, lots of time was allotted (other than the 45 minutes complexions allows for a haircut) at JEAN PAUL SPA. The master stylist at Jean Paul did not tell me to "go through the growing pains," she simply consulted with me and gave me this awesome cut!!!!

For the money, this is 3.5-4 stars. In a way it's a good deal, but in another way it's kind of expensive. I'd come back I guess, but it's not on my top list of things to do. The staff was pretty good overall, the facility was pretty nice, the price reflected.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Do you want to be HUNG UP on by the OWNER of complexion spa? Yes, you read that correct the OWNER! because I just did. By far the worst money I have ever spent and REFUSE to give me my money back for a HORRIBLE job. I went to this business July 12th for two waxing for a vacation the following day. When I was on vacation I had to go buy a razor because of ALL the hair that was left over. The owner is hands down the most RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL person I have ever spoke to in the 25 years I've been alive. I spent over $100.00 at this business to get a professional waxing done... clearly I was wrong. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT go to this SPA.

I received a gift certificate for my birthday alon...

I received a gift certificate for my birthday along with a $10 coupon. I made my appointment for a message. Upon arrival on a cold late Fall day I was impressed by the decor and feeling of relaxation upon entering. I checked in and was advised to sit in the waiting area, enjoy tea and cookies and wait for my turn. The wait was 15 minutes or so.

Someone came to bring me into a changing/shower area. I mentioned twice to this person that I have never been here before hoping she would pick up on the que and give me a little more information about the place - maybe a quick tour so I knew what I was supposed to do. It's not my first message and other spas usually provide a nickle tour and some direction. She quickly said something about robes in the lockers and additional shoe sizes at the end of the lockers and left the room. OK - now what?

There were several doors which I wandered around peeking into. Shower, Sauna, steam, etc. Finally a woman came out of the bathroom. So I asked her if we change in the bathroom, which she replied yes. Thank God a little guidence from another client! So I went into the bathroom and changed into the robe and slippers and returned to the locker area where another woman was wandering around. I gifted her with the little knowledge I had of the process and she proceeded to the bathroom. I locked up my personal belongings, proceeded out the door to wander again. I was pointed to a relaxation room at the end of the hall. Cookies and tea again - which this time I passed on and took a seat in the rather chilly lounge area and waited for my turn.

The place is lovely, serene and comforting - other than the chill in the air. Very welcoming and I was very very surprised that there isn't any guidance or direction for clients that are new to the spa.

I was then brought to a message room - great smells, soft light, etc. My message was ok - I usually ask for a man to give me my message as their fingers are stronger and really get down deep into the tissues - however this guy was a little rough. When I say rough - I mean I had bruises on my back for two weeks.

After the message I return to the changing area and decide to try out the steam room - there are no directions anywhere - kind of a guessing game. So after getting the thing going, I walked in and within two minutes was overcome with so much steam I could not breathe (directions probably would have helped) Well that didnt work out well - so I quickly got the heck outta there, changed and left the room to check out.

Could it get any worse - oh yes it can. So I presented my gift certficiate along with the coupon that I was given as part of my birthday gift - the girls at the desk advised me that they never have seen this coupon before so after some chatter between them, called whom I think was the owner or manager of another location - I was told they weren't sure what to do with it, that it may have been issued from another location or old and they would have the owner call me when she decided what to do. I pointed out that there wasnt an expiration date or anything on the coupon that said it was old or from another location. I really had no idea since it was part of the gift. I brushed it off and purchased a bottle of lotion, left a tip for the torture, paid my bill and left.

A few days later the owner called me telling me that she would not honor the $10 coupon, that it was too old. However if I wanted $10 off next time I could.....(I can't remember what she wanted me to do - maybe a survey or something?) Again, I brushed it off and vowed to myself that I will never return.

I am so put off by the entire experience that I will not recommend Complexions to anyone. The place is lovely and has such potential. Too bad they really have no idea what true customer service is.

"CHRISTORPHER" YOU DID THE WORST HAIR AND MAKE UP I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! YOU RUSHED EVERY ASPECT OF THE PROCESS, YOU CLEARLY FAILED TO FOLLOW MY SUGGESTIONS/DIRECTIONS AS TO WHAT I NEEDED AS A CLIENT ..... I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO MY HOTEL ROOM AND WASHED OFF THAT HORRIBLE MAKEUP AND LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET MY HAIR AND MAKEUP REDONE IN TIME FOR MY EVENT..... I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND "COMPLEXIONS" OR "CHRISTOPHER" TO ANYONE ...NOR WOULD I EVEN THINK OF REVISITING..

Just want to say, I'm changing my 1 star to a 5 star. I went a few months ago for a hair appt. They screwed up royally with this. I was so frustrated, I swore I was never going back. Denise and I played phone tag for s while with what I'm assuming was her trying to reach out and reconcile the situation. I still have yet to talk to her. I decided to give them another try but this time for a massage. Im do glad I did. I requested a deep tissue massage and they set me up with Katie. I will never use anyone else for a massage agsinm she was very professional and knee all the right spots to get into. Hands down best massage ever. Thanks Katie.

Edit: Since the incident below, my wife and mother-in-law have actually been back to Complexions and had an excellent time. The treatment staff are top notch. I sincerely appreciate that the manager more than made up for the incident with the front desk staff, so I am upgrading my review to 4 stars. However, I must say they need to do some serious customer service training with the front desk staff. If the manager is excellent with it, the front desk should be too.

Recently, my wife and her mom had a series of appointments scheduled for this place, on a week day, and they both took the day off from work. When they showed up, the front desk manager said their appointments were "lost". They had a record of my wife's call, but no record of a series of appointments. My wife had a list of appointments ready, but the front desk manager insisted they did not exist and then proceeded to humiliate my wife and make her feel awful until she left.

I tried calling the front desk 3 times, no one answered and it went to voicemail each time. Finally, I called the manager and spoke with her. She was able to get my wife and her mom in for a massage that day with some very nice perks added, to make up for their less-than-stellar experience with the front desk. While I do appreciate that, I initially left a one star review here for the sheer fact that the front desk Manager completely lacks customer service skills. Thankfully, the owner of the spa does not. However, Google doesn't seem to allow me to delete my review, but I can edit it. For the follow up and rescuing of a very important spa day, I have upgraded my review to three stars.

The absolute BEST experience at a spa that I could...

The absolute BEST experience at a spa that I could dream of. I was so relaxed!!! You get brought into this great womens area/room where you're given a robe abd slide on slippers. You're shown the rainfall shower,sauna,and steam room that you can use before or after your service. I then waited in this amazing four seasons type of room where I sat on a comfy lounge and drank tea. I had an hour massage with drew and it was the best massage I've ever gotten. I didn't feel rushed after at all. I took an amazing rainfall shower and relaxed some more. What a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back!

From the moment I walked in the door, I knew this was going to be a great experience. From the gorgeous decor to the tranquil atmosphere, Complexions is a wonderful salon. I have spent years and years searching for the perfect salon...and my search ends here. Unfortunately, I live about 3 hours away. I went in for a haircut, and came out feeling like a brand new woman as cliche as that sounds. My hairstylist Lisa listened and then gave me the exact haircut I wanted. I only wish that I lived closer!

Waited a quite a long time for my scheduled haircut appointment. The haircut was decent and the hairdresser was nice and friendly. Then when it came time to pay they wouldn't let me use a coupon I had specifically asked about when making the appointment. Gave me a coupon for a future service instead. I won't be using it.

I had an awesome experience at the Saratoga location with Kate! She was very accommodating and made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. I also convinced my boyfriend to come along and he enjoyed his facial with Angel. We will definitely be back!

Came here with a bridal party of 4 and received one of the weirdest and grossest experiences of my life concerning having my nails done. Their prices are double what you pay anywhere else for the same services and i have had my nails done all over the country. I assume it's because they went to school for this but their techniques and methods do not reflect this. I had technicians Patty and Mari. Yes i had two and i will get to that cluster in a bit.
First off all the people that work there are nice customer service wise but Patty cannot do a straight or even gel french tip to save her life. I had to have her go back and fix 3 different nails on each hand either because they were crooked or didn't match the thinness or thickness done on the other nails, and i wasn't being picky their was a huge difference.
Second of all which is where the grossness comes in, they used their own fingernails to scrape off any excess paint off under your own nail. This made me cringe and almost want to throw up. I don't know how clean your nails are and i don't want to know, use a darn nail tool like any other normal nail salon does. This is disgusting and unsanitary in my opinion and i'm pretty sure they don't teach this practice in nail school.
Third and i only found this out after i heard another technician asking her client this is that the lotion they use has pine nuts in...guess who can't be around almonds... which my nail technician failed to disclose to me. Which i believe is half my fault and also half hers so we both share fault on that one.
I also had a pedicure done which started out with Patty doing a decent job and included her offering me the nail file she used on me, which is the weird part. Why would I want to walk around with my dead skin cells in my purse for the rest of the day. I also had the french tips done on my toes which started out just as sloppy as my nails but by this point i was over it to correct her. Seriously on my ring toe she missed painting a quarter of my nail.
But here is where the other weird part came in. Patty does all my toes expect the big toes then walks away with no explanation and then Mari comes over and finishes just my big toes... which were even but she also does that gross technique of using her own nail to slide underneath your own nail...disgusting. BTW the way on a side note my sister was also next to me getting a pedicure done by Mari and ended up with an infection in her big toe 3 hours later and no, my sister was not wading through a cesspool right after. Luckily i have not developed any infections yet...
Lastly the other part that not only made me mad but everyone else in the bridal party was how misleading the services and prices offered are when the bride first booked this package. They already charge double for a crappy nail job and experience but they convinced the bride to get a package that includes a private room and access to a spa for an extra $50-90. Well the room was not private it was right off the nail area and was open for all staff to take their breaks and play on computers in the back and have random staff walk through... not private at all. It was more like an extension of the salon with no door and open to all. Also we never could use the spa so the bride got conned out of some more $$ which we all thought was BS.
Overall everyone in the bridal party had different nails done by different technicians and it all depends on who you got. Luckily the bride had a good technician but the maid of honor got charged extra cause her lady was a "Senior" technician but never disclosed this until the very end so we couldn't dispute the extra charge on the final bill which came to $300+ for 4 people after a $150 coupon (which was the only reason the bride came here in the first place). Either way be careful which technician you get and do your research before booking any service here. I will upload pictures of my sister's toe from the infection she received from this place (viewer discretion is advised).

I struggled with 3 or 4 stars. They're nice enough. Good services and people generally but could use an update. Last time I went the sauna was down...I would have liked to have been notified at booking as we came very early for it (also have a steam room that was functional). Just missing some things you would expect. Mostly in the locker rm area. Definitely on the higher side pricewise. If the price point was lower my rating may have been higher but my expectations for that $$$ are higher.

Always beyond impressed by the service, staff and environment at Complexions! As of recently, I ve been blown away by how knowledgable the staff are and how incredible they make the spa experiences. Gia did a wonderful job educating me on some medspa and skincare matters & did a wonderful peel and dermaplaning on me, Simone and Sarah were beyond amazing for a couples massage in complexions beautiful couples room, Alex did a fabulous job with my wax and Kejhonna gave me the best pedicure I could ve asked for! Wonderful facility, incredible staff and great amenities. Best in the capital region for sure! I ve tried them all and none compare.

I have been to complexions several times and it's always a great experience, but the problem I have is if you pay for a 60 Minute massage and they call you in at 9:15 and end your massage at 10am you're paying for 60 minutes and actually only getting a 45 minute massage. This has happened to me several times and again with my mother yesterday. We were there early and ready at nine and they did not come to get us till 9:15. For the price you should be getting your full 60 minutes. Very frustrating.

As I recently stated, I have been going to Complexions for 30 years. That in it of itself, is a testament to a successful Spa. I did say that I felt it was used, which shows just how popular this establishment is. Staff is very accommodating, and professional.

Best local day spa. It's friendly from the moment you walk in. Anyone receiving services can use the sauna and relaxation room for free. You can get massages, hair services, manicures, pedicures, makeup up services, skin care services. There are products for purchase for beauty, self care and gifts. Enjoy a glass of wine and a warm cookie while you get pampered. Buy services in a bundle to save money. After you're done you can hang out near the water feature in the back patio and enjoy the sun.

Every time I think of my wedding day I regret my choice of going to Complexions.

This is the first review I have ever written. Good or bad. I have never had an experience that compelled me do so. I am also not writing this in the heat of the moment. It has been over 6 months since my wedding and I am still so upset over my experience, and if I can save one bride from going through what I went through, than taking the time to do this is worth it...

You expect your wedding day to be the one day you feel and look like a million bucks. I left in tears. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR BRIDAL HAIR OR MAKE-UP!

Make-up: I wanted a natural look, something simple, but elegant. They put my eye liner on so thick and so uneven that it looked ridiculous. I asked them to fix it, and although it looked better, it was still noticeably uneven and poorly applied. Other than terrible eye liner, nothing else was even noticeable. On line it said that you get a complimentary lipstick, which I did not get, so I didn't have the color to touch up my lipstick the rest of the day. I left in tears and had to go home and fix my make up, after paying good money to have a professional do it!!!, I had to go home and redo my make-up... ON MY WEDDING DAY. They tried to say that I should have done a make-up trial. However, the girl originally scheduled to do my make-up didn't show up so I would have got someone different anyway, so how would that have mattered??!! Oh and I broke out in pimples afterward due to the make up they use... an added slap in the face for choosing them.

The hair- a less traumatic experience, but still not what you expect to get when paying good money to look your best on your big day. The hair trial was perfect. But on the day of the wedding, they put maybe a quarter of the time and effort into it and my curls and style was flat and undone by the time I got to my reception.

And if you want to be pampered and feel special that special day... HA! forget it. No extra attention or pampering to be had... instead rushed and stressed.... Please don't trust your big day to Complexions... save yourself the disappointment.

I went here for a manicure and was not impressed. The spa itself was dirty and many of the staff seemed to have an attitude, especially the person who did my nails. The prices are also unreasonable for the services provided. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and pressured to book additional services in the future, which I absolutely will not be doing. Would not recommend to anyone and will never return.

I saw Ueda on saturday for my hair. She did a fabulous job! Ive gotten so many compliments on my hair. I feel so beautiful! She told me it would take about 3 hours which was fine. I had nothing but time. Ive never had a hair dresser be up front and let me know how long it will be. I thought that was very nice of her. The facility is so clean and it smells soooo nice! Even the bathroom was beautiful and extremely clean. I cant wait to come back for more service. Im hoping i can get a facial soon

I just had the most amazing experience! Elizabeth (Liz) is truly amazing! The best haircut ( I'm not kidding!), and what a wonderful treatment. I had damaged hair, horrible hair cut and fear of what will happen to me next.....She did wonders! I left with a beautiful haircut, the best head massage and a full cup of self esteem! Oh, forgot to tell you, she was doing all of it while keeping my 12 year old son( who was sitting next to me) entertained so he will not die from boredom.

Horrible job but a pleasant experience. So I went in with a lot of hope and trust they would do my nails justice, quite the opposite happened. A very close friend of mine, recommended them to me (but she only goes there for facials) so I went in excited. I told the staff this was my first time there so I expected it not to be my last. It was toward closing hours (since it takes 90 minutes) and they proceeded with the massages for my feet. Feet from a distance didn't look terrible and she did do a good job filing them. But mind you if you look closely you will see the gaps she didn't fill, and I realized this by watching her do my hands. Not only did she rush, the coats were all very unevenly distributed. I very politely had to continuously ask her to fix certain things that quite frankly a experienced nail technician should know. Her fixing them just them clumpy in certain places. Even though it was MY first mani pedi, it felt like it was hers too. The polish didn't even go to my cuticles on any of my nails and some of them look wayyy more clumpy than the others. And her rushing my dazzle coat I came home and wash my hands and literally it started chipping at the tips only because they weren't covered correctly. The girl who did mine was a very nice girl don't get me wrong, but I will never again pay 96$ for this trash. Honestly, you could do a better job at home. And no these pictures weren't taken a week from the appointment date. I had them done last night, and these were taken this morning. I kindly request Complexions to really value their clients especially if their first experience is going to be them. Thank you

Very disappointed. I called and made an appt. for a chem. peel. They called me to confirm my appt. for a peel. When I arrived, they asked me to sign a form necessary to receive a peel. Instead of a peel, what I got was a sales pitch. I was told that I couldn't get a peel unless I used some specific products (sold there!) for three weeks to prepare for a peel. Bait and switch...As to the response I received from them....I came in for a peel. There was no misunderstanding what I was there for. I was very clear about what I wanted. There was no discussion beforehand about pre-treatment or consultations. I came in for a peel only, and instead I got a $120 sales pitch.

Ive been a complexions visitor many years

Ive been a complexions visitor many years
And have dearly loved the place for hair makeup massage. Unfortunately todays experience made me question business practice there. My foil was expensive and the
Stylist only had time to do half my head
But charged me more than ive ever paid for my whole head. The results looked bleached.
I spared feelings said it was great. Went home and cut to about 3 inches long on top. (short hair can be bleached and still looks ok)
But returned and asked her to foil a few dark spots on the back as it was obvious now
Only half my head was done. She and her manager said they would have to charge me
Because i cut my own hair. They already charged me 150$!
How much would it have cost them to fix the mess? 30$? They put business before people
And lost the next 10 years of my business
Very sad they were so unloving.

Back in February 2017, I had a hair stylist appointment for my engagement shoot that was canceled at another salon due to snowy weather in the Albany area. Last minute, Complexions was able to fit me in! This was such a relief because I was traveling from the Boston area and knew nothing of the salons in town. The salon did such an incredible job with my hair styling for the engagement shoot (a blowout with waves, and it survived our snowy photo shoot!), that I reached out shortly after for my wedding hair and makeup. During my hair and makeup trial, Christopher did such a wonderful job! He really listened to me, and helped make me feel like such a special bride! On the day of my wedding (December 2017), my now husband visited the spa for booked shaves with the in-house barber. He and his groomsman also used the sauna - they had such a great day! Back at the hotel, Christopher and his assistant stylist did a great job with me and my bridesmaids. We had so much fun getting ready! Everyone looked amazing! Also, once again, my hair survived my wedding reveal in snowy weather! Thank you so much, Christopher! Also, the woman in charge of booking wedding services was so organized and on point. I was a very detail-oriented bride, and the staff always impressed me with how organized they were!

Giuseppe is the man. I am super picky when it comes to my hair. Tried him out about a year ago and I refuse to go anywhere else. Always gives me a sweet fade and makes sure I like it before I leave. Staff is always pleasant and helpful when I check out. Although it's not a typical barber shop I highly recommend for men's haircuts.

If you have bad skin.... DO NOT I repeat DO NOT come to this spa for a medical treatment facial especially if you re not Caucasian. The employees here can come off as superficial.
They will not keep your condition of your skin confidential. You re better off going to a dermatologist first. You ve been warned. My experience here was not the best especially for the price I paid. They also won t give you your full service time that you paid for. Also I m not expecting a response from the owner being that she/he will only respond to five star reviews.

worst business and ethical treatment any job applicant could ever endure. but then again we all know hairstylist at times forget their own path to greatness god forbid your not booshee... if not don't apply plenty of salons are able to treat passionate people looking to learn far better.. FYI don't ever apply to this company how does an owner personally call you for an interview at this supposedly ladee. dah..establishment..while walking past you during your interview but then can't even say hello...funny isn't that a custom in business relations...lastly how does an interviewing maanger state I'll call you today then. nothing for two weeks...lol then your told they have been awfully busy. if the business is as lavish as they proclaim then I'd think busy would be typical right. then you receive a snotty..ass email from the manager? yeah ok I guess passionate new stylist looking to be coached or even learn to be five star must be intimidating to those whom call them selves five star!...five star in ethical and professional world requires following up and through rite. or at least common courtesy. whomever reads this surely will state otherwise but frankly if your new as a beginning stylist look elsewhere first...best wishes

I've been about 6-8 times over the past two years for massages. I really enjoy the massage and my therapist is great. I've always been thrilled by the quality of service of the masseuse.

Checkout is always a nightmare. First, there is always a line and I always have to wait 5-10 minutes. Then there is always an issue. Whether they won't accept a coupon, or they can't find your account, or bill you incorrectly...I've never been able to just pay and leave. Finally, as others have pointed out, checkout staff are less than friendly.

It's a shame, I get a great massage but always leave stressed from the checkout experience.

I have been to complexions 3 times and have had a very good experience. I called and made an appointment this past weekend and when i showed up for the scheduled time and day, they had no record of my appointment. They didn't seem to really care that it put me out or that i took the time to drive there in rush hour traffic only to not have an appointment. No one tried apologizing or even making some sort of attempt at making amends. They just said sorry about that with an uncaring tone of voice. Very disappointed. I will not be buying gifts for relatives or any future services there anymore.

In town visiting and needed a massage badly. I called for an appt. and they wanted my credit card number over the phone to confirm appt. I get a lot of massages on the road, as I'm a business traveller. Not once have I ever been asked to provide my CC# over the phone. Maybe they think it's okay to do that, but I don't.
So, I just went somewhere else in town and they did an AWESOME job at a lower price!

I love this spa, it's my favorite in the area. The treatments are always a pleasure and are sure to relax. I love getting the nourishing and rebalancing facial as I can always see a glow afterwards. I love their infused water and snack bar. The smoothies are great as well. I would recommend this to anyone in need of some good r&r. This is my fourth visit and there will definitely be more to come!

Went here for the first time and had an 11 am appointment for a gel manicure. First of all I waited almost 20 minutes past my appointment time before I was brought back. For a $50 dollar manicure I was really expecting something special. I didn t receive a hand massage or any lotion after my manicure. It is also the worst manicure I ve ever received. My nails aren t even. The paint is super thick and uneven and she didn t paint the sides of my nails. The polish also doesn t go down to my cuticle. Super disappointed and will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

Edit to add: The manager, Denise, reached out to me directly to resolve the experience I had at the spa and I have to say I was incredibly impressed with the customer service! I did go back and get my nails done again (a gel manicure) and they came out much better than the first time. Overall a much better experience with a more experienced nail technician.

I started going to complexions about 8 months ago for chemical peels with Denise and I can not thank her enough. She has literally changed my skin completely. I went from struggling with severe painful acne, to smooth clear skin that I am 100% confident with- all because of consistent visits with Denise. If you are battling acne I 10/10 recommend complexions!

Great facility and fantastic massage, however .the biggest issue I experienced was that my 90 minute massage only lasted 80 minutes. The massage was $139 for 90 minutes and I was looking forward to relaxation and every minute I was paying for. I was not going to reference this here but the customer service that followed the shortened massage time was below par. For the inconvenience , I received a small gift bag with some free samples and two cards each for $10 to try another NEW service. What if I didn t plan to return to that facility? I don t want the free samples. I was told that they fixed me a gift bag rather than discounting my service that was cut short because I already had a voucher I brought in for $20 off my first visit as a first time customer. One thing has nothing to do with the other. I was not going to push the issue since I brought it to their attention and I did not want to spend more time hashing it out, but this was not the service I expected based on the reviews I read about this location. I am disappointed in this. Prior to my service, there were a couple additional issues. I arrived over 2 hours before my service to relax and, upon checking in, I was told my masseuse was Danica but I had been told twice via phone that it would be Drew while I was booking my massage the week before as I requested a male. After I was checked in, I was told to enjoy the facility and relax. They would follow up with me to let me know what they could do and I may have to change my time (and my husband too since we were booked at the same time in different rooms). After some time they worked it out by moving our services up a bit so we d both start at the same time and I'd have a male masseuse. Our appointment time passed as we waited in the relaxation room. Then, his masseuse came to get him a couple minutes after the appointment time started and mine a couple minutes after that (mine arrived 5 minutes late). No big deal as I figured since we had arrived on time (way before, actually), our masseuses would adjust their time accordingly so we would still have 90 minute massages. My massage was complete before my husband s. I happened to have a watch in the pocket of my robe so I was surprised that I had not received the full time. I thought maybe they included prep time in their service time (would be highly unusual) but the desk attendant confirmed that the stated time should be the time of the actual massage. This was such an unfortunate first time experience here. As a side note, they should update their prices online as they are less than the prices charged (their in-house brochures are up to date). Also, their website just loads continuously when you try to make an appointment online so you must call to schedule. And, while the steam room, sauna and rain shower are so lovely and relaxing, they should be sure to inspect the drains for the shower regularly. I showered while I was there and water ran into the hallway of the women s lounge due to improper drainage so I had to alert the attendants.

Within the last week I had stopped in twice, once for a facial with Shannon and the second for a massage. Shannon was absolutely amazing and I left happy. As for the massage, I left feeling as I had completely wasted my time and money. The massage therapist didn t seem as though she wanted to be there and it also seemed as if she was new with little technique or experience. As I was waiting to cash out, I was left standing there while a few women behind the desk chatted and eventually asked if I was ready to check out. I was also disappointed that no one asked how my experience was. I made the switch from Kimberlys to Complexions because I always felt valued but this recent experience has me very disappointed.
