Once a year, my husband and I take a overnight away while our son stays with family or friends. It was our second year doing this and we wanted a relaxing weekend without the drive. Cheyenne Mountain Resort was up the street. We did one night without our son, so we spent an evening eating at the buffet which had a wide variety and was delicious. Loved their homemade hot chocolate. Then spent a little time in the hot tub which was close to the room. The next day we did a couples massage in which the ladies were great and personable. It was a little expensive at the spa though the environment was great and the facilities were very accommodating. We then stay another couple of days after we picked up our son and we took him to the pool which was a little cold especially in the middle of winter. Honestly, we don't have cable so it was nice to throw on the robes, order some room service and watch some TV that we don't get at home. The resort itself is a little dated. You can tell it was built in the '70s, but it didn't bother us. We did our own excursions during the day instead of with the hotel since we were locals, so I'm unsure of how well the resort does on those. But all the facilities at the resort itself is nice and the resort is nicely located with a wonderful view away from the major part of downtown COS, but a nice 10-15 minute to downtown from HWY 115.

I enjoyed my stay here. The food was good, the location was beautiful and the room was nice. Next time i would stay more than one night since there wasn't enough time to take advantage off all the amenities.

However, the only reason we picked this location is because of their private lake. I desperately wanted to spend my anniversary SUP'ing, pedal boating and other lake shenanigans. Unfortunately, their lake was closed and I am pissed. Nothing was on their website. If you are remotely interested call ahead.

What a great place for a family, this is our 2nd time staying there! I will say food and buffet isn't as good as I remember it from the first time we were there about 5 years ago. Rooms are nice, but could use some updating! Would go back, but for the price they need to work on some things. I feel like its changed hands since last time we were there....

The walls and floors here are thin like paper thin... I'm currently laying in bed after being woken up several times last night the first at 1:00 AM was staff members just chatting directly outside my room not trying to whisper at all.. 2nd time was 3:00 AM from the person next to me using the restroom sounded like they decided to tap dance in the shower and finally at 5:30 am where the person above me must be running a mini marathon back and forth, back and forth... They also have an infestation of flying ants so you can not eat outside they will crawl all over you it's really disgusting The food here is awful it's actually the worst food I've ever eaten. Rooms are dark- I could go on and on basically I have nothing pleasant to say about the resort not relaxing or refreshing at all I can not wait to leave seriously counting down the seconds.

Hope you like the sound of Fire Alarms! When we got to the hotel, we immediately took a bath, and the steam from the bathtub set the fire alarm off. Within minutes hotel security was ready to knock down our door. Apparently it is a huge issue at this hotel, if you take a shower with the bathroom door even CRACKED open, the fire alarm goes off. This happened to all the rooms around us too, the whole weekend was just a constant stream of fire alarms going off... so you would think they would put up a sign in the room or at least warn you when you check in, even Motel 6 would do that, but NO! This hotel is probably a front for a scientific study on how naked people react to security guards bashing a door in.

My wife and I have stayed here twice. Just last night they found a room for us and our dog at 230 in the morning and could not have been nicer. It's decorated beautifully and has an amazing overlook of the mountains. I highly recommend this hotel and hope you have a nice stay as we did.

I recently stayed at Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs. The resort is made up of the main lodge and several buildings, each with 3-4 floors of hotel rooms.

The main lodge has guest reception, restaurants, conference space, a coffee and gift shop... and stunning views of the western mountains with the floor to ceiling glass. The vaulted wood ceilings and stone walls add a luxury ski lodge feel to the beautiful space.

The rooms are a bit dated, but also large and fully-appointed. My top-floor Deluxe King room had a private balcony with view of the western mountains. The room has a walk-in closet stocked with two bathrobes. Double sinks and shower/tub combo in bath area.

The rooms were quiet and my building, Dove Creek, was connected by a well-lit, wooden walkway to the main building. The pool/spa are beautiful. I did enjoy using the fitness center, which is in the Country Club of Colorado, just across the small road. This is a full gym with dozens of machines, a very large free weights area, and through separate glass doors are indoor tennis and basketball courts. Flat screen televisions throughout the gym area. I only wish I could have had more time to enjoy the full-service spa.

The only disappointment was that the service staff is very slow - from check-in (one person at the desk who also managed the phones) to the restaurant hostess.

Enjoyed the grounds and beautiful views, clean and large hotel rooms. I would stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort on my next trip.

Overall an amazing experience, and beautiful place to stay with amazing views. Housekeeping was the only downside... Didn't come the first day even after we called them to do so and bring some items.

Wow -- this place really has it all. I was disappointed to only get to stay one night as we passed through the Colorado Springs area to Denver. There is so much to do here, you could stay for days! We took full advantage of the many pools and the lake beach area was breathtaking with the mountain range in the backdrop. The kids had a blast utilizing the kayaks, sail boats, and paddle boats. Many people were out using peddle boats as well. They'd play in the lake a while, then bop into the pool for dip and a slide down the wicked-fast slide, all while their dad and I had a beer by the pool. The hotel rooms were very nice and I like how they were clustered in different buildings, most with their own pool. It made lugging your stuff in pretty easy. Highly recommend this resort and hope to stay again!

The beds are very comfortable. That's about the extent my compliments can achieve. No one was at the front desk when I arrived, for a good 3-5 minutes. In my book, it's inexcusable to not have someone greet arriving guests. I had to peer over the frosted glass office door for someone to realize I needed help. I booked for a king bed, downgraded to 2 queens. No excuse provided except "the system did it and I can't do anything" In a pandemic? You're fully booked? Arriving to the room, the attached pictures show just how dated the room was. Broken fan. Not carefully spackled over hook that has been broken off the door and picture off the wall. Bathtub drain filled within seconds of running the shower so risked overflowing of you reached probably a 5 minute shower. Great location/view and bed get a star each, but this should probably be a 1 star rating.

We had reservations for two nights, however were delayed. So we called the front desk and told them we were delayed, but still coming, and would be there the following morning to check into our room. Upon arriving the following morning we were told we were "no shows" and they cancelled our reservation. We lost our firsts night lodging and breakfast and had to wait until after 3pm until we could check into a room. There were various other things that made the stay unappealing and we would not recommend staying here or eating in the mountain view restaurant.

Nice facilities for a corporate meet. The food was actually worth it and the acoustics of the room were good for communication. That's more important than you think. Facilities were clean and the staff were attentive

This is nice hotel The only thing is is the buildings are very spread out. I was also looking for a place to go have a drink outside of the hotel and was asking if there was someplace close and I was given directions by the front transport guy I could walk down to the hotel well that ended up being quite a walk when he acted like it was just like a block or so down the street it was more like maybe a mile. Luckily for me I was able to get a lift from a Lyft driver and all was good. They should probably teach there people that transportation up front to be a little more engaged with their customers as he was really not helpful and he was really quite frankly kind of short and rude with me. He just was not very much help so avoid that chaos and just call lyft. The hotel is very nice though it's cool building the main building is nice and it's really not that bad getting around to the other buildings for the most part but be prepared that it's a little confusing get it around that place.

The room was certainly nice but of course I've stayed in holiday inns that are just as nice and half the price. No military discounts on rooms but HEY... you get one at the lounge and restaurant. Now I don't know how it works in the lounge, but my wife and I stayed there June 7th 2014 (honeymoon night) and we ate dinner at the restaurant. Our waiter had a simple job to bring us merely two waters and two beers. We opted for the buffet. Food was decent and when the check came ($90) I asked if they had a military discount, to which he replied "Yes, allow me to add that to your check". So he was gone and back in a flash with my new check and stated "I added your 20% military discount but with that we automatically add in 18% gratuity" then was gone. So yeah, pretty jacked up. So I payed and the signed receipt was still on the table as my wife and I lingered for pleasant conversation. I am pretty sure that proper etiquette is to wait til the customers are gone before collecting the check (especially one with and involuntary tip on it that was completely unearned). So yeah, I will not go there again and would list them as a non supportive company of the Armed Forces. By the way, booking for one room with a king was $305 total. Oh and did theu mention they also put an additional hold of $50 on your card for incidentals. Really?

Checked out, 1 star.

Checked out, 1 star.

Highly disappointed with this, resort . From my initial call to change reservation to extend my stay. Because the reservation rep did not repeat back the dates, I d asked for confirmation on the dates, to find she d made an error and looked at September vs. August. Okay, human error, no worries.

I checked into the room, I went to use the restroom, found a spot of urine on the seat, I proceeded to inspect the room, turned around to find a piece of hair hanging from the tub. This lead me to check the beds. I started to pull the covers back, didn t have to pull back an inch from the pillows on both beds, had pieces of hair on the pillows. I proceeded to sanitize the counters and can tell this room was not clean at all, the counters had crumbs & stains as if it wasn t even wiped down. The ice bucket and lamps had a film of dust. They offered to move me or have them clean the room, than had house keeping to change the sheets in front of me. I went to the front desk and agreed to move but this is not acceptable from the time of check in.

I d booked for 2 nights but was uncomfortable enough and decided to call the reservation to ask what fees would be charged to check out early. I waited 8+ mins. to speak to someone, when the call was answered, than was greeted with an unwelcoming tone. I asked for clarification to be sure the difference of the cancel fee will be refund for the 2nd night. He said he did not know, to call the front desk. Reservations, couldn t answer a simple question?! He proceeded to tell me he couldn t transfer me and asked if I had the number. At this point I m disgusted but kept calm to call the front desk to have my question answered and simply expressed I am disappointed with the level of service received, and did not feel like doing any more explaining. The front desk s response was, I m sorry. I hung up to collected myself before deciding to ask for a manager.

Staying at a, Resort , I expect some fundamental hospitality and a standard level of cleanliness. I am in the service industry so, before leaving a review like this, I give an opportunity to address my concern, not looking for any special treatment but an expressed level of concern was all I d expect. I decided to call the front desk to ask for the resort manager. Keep in mind, this is 9:30 am on a Tuesday. I was told the manager is not in until 2p. This was telling with how this place operates. Throughly disappointed, couldn t pay me to stay here. Thank you, for this waste of time for the MOTEL level service.

Hmm, would you be happy with this view and what you paid for? Room 303 you re far from everything, but closer to the neighborhood and trailer park in this room than the lobby! Don t be fooled like we were.they spend more on the lobby than the rooms that s for sure. Woke up to weed whacked and workers. After my awful year I had I was excited for the long needed, relaxed 4 days and this was not the place.

We went to this place for Thanksgiving dinner the food was amazing, the selection was well varied, all of the turkey wasn't a COS turkey which I was surprised at. It's the second time we've had Thanksgiving at the same place. But there was plenty of choices of food. Unfortunately the desserts would not that good or should I say the pies would not that good. In fact they were pretty awful. Some of the other desserts actually were good though. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to a good pumpkin pie. I'd still go back but not plan on any desserts. I'll make my own pumpkin pie at home. The grounds and the building will all decorated quite nicely for Christmas.

Nice place but far from being a top notch hotel/resort/spa. Food is awful. Maybe my standards are high as well as my expectations, but the food quality was surprisingly bad. Secondly, if you want a massage, you better call well in advance. A spur of the moment decision to get a massage will leave you disappointed. While you are a guest, be prepared to share space with members of the club...golf and fitness centers especially. Oh yeah, check in was a long wait. Staff is very young and it shows. Ordered dessert one night and 2 out of the 4 desserts were available. One dessert was a Mason jar apple pie with ice cream but without the ice cream just an apple pie. Ok. Girl calls back and says you can have it with ice cream but it's an extra charge?!?! Huh? But it's on the menu? What ever. It comes and no ice cream. I say to the staff where's the ice cream? Oh we don't have any....but it's on my Bill!!! My advice, for the price stay somewhere else.

When we first got here, our heat wasn t working so our room was freezing! The person who came to fix it was extremely nice and personable. When we went to Gates Grille, a restaurant at the resort, the food was way over priced for the quality of it. It wasn t terrible food, but it definitely wasn t worth the expensive pricing. Lastly, we have people who are staying above us and can hear everything. We were woken up early to loud food steps pacing back and forth while loud creeks followed after. Overall the stay was ok, but we did not think it was resort quality.
