Top notch resort with great views and fantastic customer service! I highly recommend anyone stay here!!
Top notch resort with great views and fantastic customer service! I highly recommend anyone stay here!!
Nice place. Clean, average rooms. Spread out buildings. A lady jumped her car over the fence into the pool, that was cool.
The room was nice. It was fairly clean but we didn't have trash bags and there was a stain on one of the pillows. The resort is large. We took a shuttle to the indoor pool and spa. The shuttle was timely though. Room service wasn't great but it was fast and they had kid friendly food. They gave us discount cards for the zoo which was great. The outdoor pool is advertised as being 85 degrees. It was freezing. Maybe 60 degrees. The indoor pool was warm though!
Nice rustic feel hotel and resort. Would be 5* if it wasn't for the loose faucet.
Great place clean staff are polite and always. Ready to help lots of activities to keep you and the kids busy.
Really enjoyed this place. It seems older from the outside, but it is nicely up to date on the inside. Rooms are straight forward. Bathrooms are updated but a bit cramp. First class service. The people here are super nice. So many fun things to do on and off campus. Golf, tennis, spa, pool, hiking kids and parents loved it. Colorado springs is pretty cool place to hang out also... (Zoo, breweries, so many other things)
Relaxing and fun! The mountain view is stunning, and the room is comforting, clean, and overall a true vacation. Heated pool is great during the winter and the recreational activities are pleasant
We were there for breakfast and the service was phenomenal
Duwon was one of the best, hands on attentive to the needs of he customers. When things were not up to par she was right there. Much respect for people like her in the industry.
Superb customer service and grounds. Jenna and Rachel took great care of my parents and I and the views are amazing from pool and lobby. Beds are uncomfortable and there was lots of front entrance work being done which is why I'm giving 4 stars. Other than that we will be back!
Very nice resort. Went to the hotel bar and had some good draft beers
Beautiful setting. Next to the Country Club that hotel guests have access to.
The accommodations are a bit spartan but the amenities are excellent. The only real complaint I have is that everything is a bit overpriced for the quality you receive.
This Resort used to be magical for my family. Been coming here for many years. Brought my entire family and extended family here for my Mothers memorial weekend after she passed. Now the happy memory is ruined.
I cant begin to explain how bad the customer service is, how the front desk can apologize but will not rectify one single issue. Will not find management to get answers.
Coldest weekend this year and our room had no heat. They sent engineering to get it going about 10:30 pm as we lay in our beds in coats.
The heat breaker blew again at 2am. Must of called front desk and operator 20 times no answer. Coats on again in bed and gave up.
Morning front desk girl apologized and said I should of called and been moved. Called who no one answers. Literally she should call the manager and fix this problem financially or do something for basically camping at 250 a night.
Freezing in room next day and when we left room thermostat still broke not working, no one ever came, front desk did nothing. They do not care
Huge gap under door also, no weather stripping.
Dont rent room 204
Carmel apples night before 8 dollars a piece,
First the kid making them insults my kids by saying they can make them if they can afford a room here, kids say we are staying herea, then he asks if they can actually sign on room. Horrible degrading manner and rude even when I came up and said of course they can sign on room.
Then the carmel is kept at such a high heat runs right off apple.and wont stick.
Kid cuts up apple and throws carmel on top.
crappy attitude. Mr know it all said he went to Culinary school so I ask did he not learn if he turns down temp for carmel to cool it will then adhear to apple. Says they dont make homeade carmel there anyways and it wont work no matter what ? At 8 dollars an apple ? 32 dollars for 4 plates of crap.
Loved the Resort so much purchased 4 groupons. 2 used before they expired.
The 2 left I paid 99 dollars for a bed and breakfast. A 250 value. But I paid 99 for them and Groupon paid the resort 99 for them used or not. Reservations says I can use only one towards room even though at this point Groupon says they are worth the cash value you paid. Claims they are already discounting room by letting me use voucher. No they are not they got paid 99 dollars a voucher. 99 a year ago or today is still 99. They are not out anything I am.
Refuse to let me book a breakfast package with voucher which is same price
I figure at least I am getting my 99 back towards room. Reservations asks me to turn in voucher at check out and they will take off 99.
Same awful customer service girl front desk refuses to use voucher. Claims they already gave me 99 dollar credit. Says it over and over though we are looking at my bank statement on my phone. Tells me bank statement wrong, they gave me 99 dollars already.
The bank is wrong ??
Bills my my credi card at resv on 16th...108 dollars
Bills credit card 50 at check in on 17th
Bills credit card another 159 at checkout.
Show all these transactions on my bank phone app again . She wont refind the 159 she just charged. She still argues bank is wrong.
Will not get manager, tells.me to call Monday.
I have paid 300 for a 200 dollar room and they will still not credit Groupon. Im out 500 now from this resort.
Call to get manager today, if it was a manger ??
No one can it figure out or tell me what to do
Im calling Groupon, its impossible to use a voucher here.
Im never going back
Years of Santa brunch, Easter brunch, family memories ruined. This place needs new management its a fallen star
Great views, spacious property with lots of ammenities. Rooms large, ours was quiet. Good parking, wonderful main lodge and buffet.
Great place to visit. Great food, and lovely decor.
This Resort is perfect for a getaway it's clean the food is good and the stead are friendly!! It's an older place but well taken care of
Sitting just under the front range, you won't find a view more pleasant from the Colorado Springs area.
The resort is beautiful, have great amenities and the staff are the cherry on top so amazing and make the stay very special.
Great place had some issues with the staff being snooty. Other than that ever thing was great. Great food, roo.s and the views are to die for.
I miss the seafood buffet, but the italian buffet is still very good. I especially enjoyed the chicken piccata.
Great atmosphere and views. Has a great mountain feel to it.
Overall I was very happy with everything. My only regret was not being able to try the breakfast (which smelled amazing!) I wasn't happy about making a reservation for two rooms only to find out they didn't have them and had to pay $60 extra per room to stay. However the room was nice and everyone was very nice and helpful! The views were the best part for sure! Located close to shopping etc yet still comfy with a great view of the outdoors, and pet friendly is always a nice plus!
I was visiting my nephew who is a freshman at Princeton. The location of the hotel is spectacular, a couple of blocks from campus and right in the middle of the main street.
Staff was very friendly, the historic building is very well kept and my room was huge, clean and very comfortable. There is coffee and cookies at the lobby 24/7. This historic inn sets the tone for what you'll see when you visit the campus. It was a great experience. I'll go back, hopefully soon
Absolutely fantastic place , friendly courteous staff and so much to do on the property, Beautiful area too
Lovely location. Spectacular views. Bottom sheet of bed wasn't fitted so it was half way off by the morning but meh. A+ altogether
The lake and beach at this resort sets it apart from others. Paddle boarding and day sailing is a great touch.
We had a great weekend here. We enjoyed the pool, gym and food. We will be back.
We had a really great time at this resort. If I could give 4.5 stars out of five I would. We stayed 3 nights with a Colorado resident promotion that took 40% off the price. At that price, even with the extra resort fee, we felt like we got a great value. We had a 14 year old, an almost 9 year old, and a 3 year old with us, which obviously shaped our experience.
The Room
The room was a nice standard American hotel room. I did appreciate that they used pumps for the soap and shampoo in the shower... Seems so much less wasteful than the old individual bottles. Our room had a balcony, and even if the view wasn't great, it was nice to have the place to sit and relax. The beds were comfy. I think the only "complaint" I have with the room design is that I do enjoy rooms where the sink is actually next to the bathroom (or there is an extra one there), so it's a little less awkward to have multiple people using water. That's a pretty small nit though. The TV was pretty big, and appeared to have the HDMI ports available, so we could have brought our small blu-ray player with us to watch movies.
Our first room ended up having an air conditioner with a leaky condenser, so it dripped overnight and triggered my homeowner brain a bit (if you've ever dealt with water problems at home, you know what I mean). They moved us for our last night to a new room, which had a lovely view of the lake. It was a nice gesture.
The amenities
The only amenities we used were the water features. We spent time at the beach of the lake, the large pool immediately adjacent to the lake, and the resort pool. All were pretty great. The one disappointment in those features was that it's obvious that the lake shore is owned by a flock of geese. We didn't see any geese while we were there, but they had left a lot of evidence of their existence behind. I don't know if the resort rakes any of that up in the morning, but they might want to consider it. We built a couple of sand castles and tried to avoid the grosser areas. The water was not very clear next to the beach, but we are more pool people than lake people so we really can't say if it was normal or not.
The pools were both excellent. They were obviously well chlorinated, and we all had a great time swimming. Because we stayed through Monday morning, we basically had the resort pool to ourselves on Sunday afternoon. Awesome!
Food
We didn t eat much at the resort... The provided refrigerator was small but adequate for us to keep cold drinks inside. We did have some ice cream at the general store, and that was delicious!
Local area
I was fully expecting the resort to be in a secluded spot, with no access to external food, but that was not the case. There was a grocery store very close, and we also picked up Jimmy John's sandwiches and Little Caesars Pizza right next to the grocery store. A smaller Target store (limited groceries) was also fairly close, as well as a Noodles and Company, a Wendy's, and a McDonald's. When feeding kids, the option to eat some cheap fun food is nice to have.
Overall Experience
We had a great time. The only negative experiences we had related to the pinging air conditioning (we were told that someone would address it on the night we reported it, but they didn't show up until the next morning) and the epic amount of goose poop on the beach. There was a lot to do and a lot we never even got to, like the stand up paddle boards and the indoor pool and the spa, etc. At the discount price we received, it was a great deal. I'm not sure if I would feel the same way at full price, but hopefully this review is helpful in determining if this is a good fit for you and your family.
Garbage. Not a single person that works here knows what's going on. The banquet bartender tells me my flat soda is $3.50 AFTER pouring it. Followed by "welcome to Cheyenne mountain resort." Enjoy being disappointed
Nice resort complex in a quiet area. Age is starting to show but it seems they are rejuvenating the place / rooms. Very good especially for congresses and other meetings. View to the Rockies is absolutely beautiful. Spend there a week in a company meeting and everything worked fine.
Fantastic place. But the rooms get really cold in the winter
The resort is beautiful. The staff is friendly. Service in the restaurants is slow, but adequate. The resort is also very spread out. It seems like it would be difficult for people who have mobility issues. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Very beautiful resort with nice rooms and views. The service was great as was the mountain view restaurant. I plan on visiting again.
Great views, good food on site. Only down side was the free Internet won't stream netflix, too slow of a connection.
I was in attendance for a company christmas party. The resort did very well with the venue, hosting, and service. I would be happy to attend again in the future
Awesome place to stay if you're in the area. The rooms are always clean and the views are great. There is also a very nice little strip mall styl building within walking distance. It has a few restaurants and some shops. My family and I have stayed at the hotel a few times now and always enjoy our time there. Also, the restaurants have great food and drinks.
The rooms need a serious update. If your rooms are that damn retro shouldn't the price be too? Great pool though!
Staff was attentive and fun. Food was excellent as well.
Great atmosphere, good food and professional staff.
Great experience. Came here on vacation and I definitely have to say it was worth it.
Check in was courteous, but rooms were sub par. In room refrigerator kept our items at room temp even when lowering the temp setting. The ac/heater looked like it hasn't been cleaned with in the last few years. The filters were heavily coated in a thick sheet of dust hair and what ever else the caught with in it's time causing our allergies to go berserk.
Friendly staff from the front desk to the General Store, restaurant, event staff. Everyone makes you feel very welcome, like seeing an old friend. Incredible views and comfortable rooms top it all off.
None of the staff was much help at all during our stay, impossible to get anybody to answer the phones. Have to reserve any activities included in your resort stay weeks ahead of your travel. No breakfast. The views nice though.
Great venue for weddings and events. Went to a wedding on the beach and it was fabulous! Mountain backdrop on a beach getting married in Colorado Springs, how cool is that! The reception was held in one of the main buildings rooms and was beautiful. The food was amazing, started with hors d'oeuvrs with quite an assortment of finger foods delivered by waiters as everyone mingled. Crab claws, shrimp, oysters, Caribbean jerk chicken, steak, salad and fon du all served buffet style for the main course, and a delicious cake( and cupcakes) for desert. What a great experience for all who attended!
If you have the time and are willing to spend a little more.....the lunch buffet is excellent!
My husband and I decided to celebrate here at the Cheyenne Mountian Resort on St. Patricks day for our wedding anniversary. The room we were in was really cramped and the lighting made it very dark and dingy. Not to mention there was a very stong sewer smell outside, all around our room, and lodge area. The resturant was way over priced, and they food on the buffet looked as though it had been sitting for quite awhile... if you know what I mean). At least in the morning there should be a continental breakfast .. well, it was there but not complementary. In fact, what most places would give you for free, they charged $20 per person for. Our beds were full of dust and the room was not very well cleaned. I have never been more disapointed in a hotel, not ever a lower end one. And all this for the "special" price of ... $170 dollars a night (after taxes and "resort fees") . If you're looking for a nice place to stay, this is NOT evan a comparable option, please don't waste your time or money!
This is a beautiful resort. I attended my cousin's wedding there yesterday. It was one of the most beautiful weddings I've been to. I want to come back and stay there.
Great food, beautifully decorated for the holidays and great rooms.
Comfortable beds, nice staff, clean rooms. Some issues with noisy neighbors
Attended a travel agency membership sales drive. Resort is just beautiful with amazing views.
Love it! Great appetizers, even better drinks...Excellent service and beautiful firepit..Great atmosphere..
Great amenities despite covid. There's a great view from the main buffet style restaurant which was unfortunately closed due to covid. The pools are all open aside from hot tubs. The fitness center is the best I've ever had access to at a hotel/resort. The housekeeping service is non-existant right now which is a bit of an inconvenience on a long stay.
Enjoyed the night there. We were there for a MP Ball. Service and food was great.
The facility is very nice, lots of amenities which we did not use. Our room was clean and attractive. We enjoyed our deck. Our TV had some issues which we reported. Management did send someone who checked it out but it was not fixed during our stay. Anyone staying here needs to be aware that there are no elevators, only stairs.
Don't recommend for the price it is certainly not up to resort standards, room very small and dated, and I was told we had one of their "best" rooms. The view was nice but otherwise inside looks like a low rent hotel. Front desk check in not friendly and we asked a few questions about local info and the person helping us didn't bother to know the answer. They advertise indoor pool but it wasnt available during our stay. We will for sure return to Colorado Springs but no way here.
Enjoyed the atmosphere. Great customer service and the view there was amazing.
First off during booking it was showing breakfast included then after booking was confirmed was then told breakfast was an additional $25 each person. First off I had already spent over $1200 for two rooms for two nights so I feel breakfast should've been included! Secondly, the pool closing at 10 is ridiculous! I have a pool at home and swin anytime and feel I should have the same privilege while on vacation. The rooms were nice beds comfy but the air conditioning was subpar! I asked for a late checkout just one hour mind you, and was told it would be an additional $50! This place is money hungry! I definitely wouldn't pay the price to stay here again
Horrible service!!! I am an Army chaplain who brought single soldiers for one day retreat. The hotel did not deliver its commitment on the contract. They said the reason was the new management under the new ownership that raised up the price. The portion of the lunch was too small that the soldiers ended up ordering pizza from Domino. For dinner it was supposed to be plated chicken or chicken salad, but they served a cup of soup, rolls and Caesar salad without chicken. The worst part was the request for additional rolls was denied by the waiter. He rudely said, "No, that is all you get." It was the worst experience. I will never go back there. I don't recommend anyone.
Fantastic location for group dinner and drinks. Spectacular views of the front range. Unparalleled service and accommodations.
First off, the setting is beautiful with the mountains in the background. At first glance, I thought this is a golf/tennis club for senior citizens. I was right! They have pools for kids which were nice and warm, indoor tennis courts ($$$), outdoor tennis courts (no cost), outdoor pickleball courts (no cost), basketball hoops, play area for kids, and a lake where you can kayak, paddle board, and swim or play in the sand. The lake was the best part for my family. The problem was that this resort appeared to look for any reason to close access to the pools/lake/sports courts. They use the weather forecast to shut everything down (even when there was not lightning but possible threatening weather, they closed down. They were closed more than open the week we were there. Good thing for the mountains - we hiked nearly every day.
We went during Covid pandemic, so it appeared to be their excuse for not having any customer service at all (even though we were charged a daily resort fee for some odd reason). No French fries in the restaurant because of covid. No housecleaning because of covid. No new towels because of covid. No toilet paper because of covid. Was told to leave towels on the ground outside the door and they would bring new towels by (how does this make sense?) - they are still coming in contact with us/our room. Again, an excuse to be lazy. We didn't have hand soap for 2 days because of covid. Housecleaning - who was in the room down the hall told me to call the front desk. I tried, but my phone didn't work (probably because of you guessed it... .covid). As others have said, they have no business being open to the public if they can't fulfil a certain level of service. Their service was not existent the week we were there. Hope it gets better as time passes, but doubt that I come back to find out.
If you like to golf or play tennis and don't care about service or amenities - this is your place!!!
Really nice setting, rooms are super comfortable, great value, and helpful staff.
What I loved about my stay: The person checking us in was kind and helpful, the room was clean, beds super comfy and the waiter at the Mountain View restaurant was great. What I did not like: The cost for what we received, the view was not what the pictures showed, the landscaping around the resort was awful, paint peeling off the deck, and the food at Mountain View was not 4 star - more like 2 star. I feel like I paid over $400 and could have gotten the same elsewhere for half the cost.
Did you ever stay at a place that you know you will remember forever? Well, the Cheyenne Mountain Resort was such a place for us. It is far nicer than the websites indicate. And the staff is truly caring and just plain wonderful. After a long and difficult trip from New England to Colorado, we arrived late and tired at the Cheyenne. Upon check-in we were shocked to get upgraded at no extra charge to the Presidential Suite! In all our lives, despite traveling a lot, we have never stayed in such phenomenal rooms. 2 wrap around decks with Mountain View s, fireplace, kitchen, marble foyer, 2 bathrooms- amazing! The beds were super comfy even with my bad back. The housekeeping was top notch. And the views from the restaurant/bar decks was really almost beyond belief, especially at night. Whoever is running this resort is doing an exceptionally good job. I highly recommend this resort.
No ac over heated in room. Could not shower do to water leak. We had a discounted room already do to company they gave us free 40$ breakfast.
Amazing!! So many things to do there for kids and adults
Second year attending a holiday party for work. Staff is exceptional, the are polite and eager to help. Food is phenomenal each and every time I've been wither with a private party or banquet.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! TONS OF THINGS TO DO FOR THE KIDS AND EVEN AN ADULT ONLY POOL WHEN YOU NEED A BREAK!!!
Had a wonderful family reunion. The resort staff was responsive and cooperative. Rooms were clean and spacious, the view spectacular. The one negative is that there was only one restaurant choice and expensive for families.
I've stayed at Cheyenne Mountain three times now, and enjoyed it immensely each time.
People who work here are focused on customer service, and the resort features well-kept mountain craftsman-style construction in a beautiful setting, with great views in any direction. The food in the main restaurant and lounge is delicious, and they've got a great selection of beer, wine, and spirits.
My only complaint is that the main lounge closes too early sometimes. I'm not sure if that's due to Colorado Springs city legislation or what. Overall, I highly recommend staying here.
Nice hotel, waiters in the restaurant very attentive. A set of sports facilities ideal for children and adults, however, to extend the departure from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., it costs $ 170. An abuse.
There was a car in the pool here once, so I couldn't swim that day :/
The resort was clean and beautiful. The pillows and linens were top notch. Front desk staff was courteous.
Beautiful location. Nice, clean rooms and very good breakfast service. Highly recommend.
They should not be allowed to promote themselves as being a safe place for families and then allow a vdare conference. I don't see how it would be safe, relaxing or enjoyable to bring my half-black son to a resort full of people who openly hate us.
Elevations Restaurant has polite and prompt service with delicious food. Lots of TVs for watching your favorite sports events. Try the pork and peach flatbread and the panko crusted salmon. YUM! You might want to skip the Legua Tacos - I found out AFTER I ate them that they are tongue. Whooops.
