I came into the dealership looking for a used truck, found one and was coming back the next day to purchase (written up), a nice one owner used Ram Outdoorsman. That night I looked on car gurus to confirm I was getting a good deal and found (THE) truck I was set to purchase from them was listed for $3000 less than the original asking price they started me at. I will give the benefit of the doubt to the salesman for perhaps not knowing but not the sales manager. . The next day I brought this info to the dealerships attention and they would not agree to a lower price so I didn't buy. My bad for not searching first. However I find this dishonest. If the car is listed anywhere on line the same price should be posted on the vehicle on the lot

I found two trucks on their site, which had the wrong picture, and details. They don't do a great job at instilling trust. They are working with me to find something, but the thing I wanted was a bait and switch.

This place is a joke and I will spread the word because they don't care.
1st. A car priced online at $3,995 used is not legit. When you go in person to meet with someone about purchasing it, they will raise the price to $13,995 in front of you, and then state it was clerical, and or that the vehicle is already sold. Ask questions, they will stumble and truth will come out.
2nd. The finance guy Jim is a moron. I scheduled an appointment for 1:15PM and arrived a few minutes early as that is what the military teaches us to do. He was paged not once, not twice, but three times and failed to respond. We walked to his desk and no Jim. A few minutes later he can be seen coming out of what looked like a closet with a ho ho sticking out of his mouth. Moving on, I have a set budget in mind so I can still maintain a good father status by paying the rest of my bills. He insist that I must finance no less than $7,500 and that will be very hard to do.
3rd. The sales guy wasted no time trying to push a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee in my face. When i requested to view something more in my budget range, the response was " We do not have anything here, you must go to Brighton, MI and they also will have little to nothing for you." I am fair, my budget is $10,000 but all they care about is commission. Not situation, or customer.

I requested all documents with my personal details so that I could shred them and walked out. Even getting the documents turned out to be a hassle as Jim was an arrogant prick. The management team, they are just as bad as they speak to nothing but disclaimers.
Leads me to think they under price cars online to get a customer base, and then f**k the customer when they show up it was wrong. False advertisement? Wish I could get a lawyer

Wish I could give less than one star, rude service people wouldn't honor the Jeep wave program completely, had a hard time even scheduling an appointment for service. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. After picking up my wife's vehicle we realized they had tried to charge us for work they didn't even perform, said they rotated the tires when they knew they didn't. Chrysler says dealerships are independently operated so they can't do anything about it. Dealership says it was a mistake and they " forgot" that they hadn't rotated the tires. Terrible dealer that will try to scam you out of money, Stay away at all costs!

We were talking with them starting a month ago about a vehicle and we set an appointment to see this vehicle when they told us they had to cancel and do a repair on the vehicle. We kept in touch trying to find out what the repair was and when it would be back. They told us nothing until a couple weeks later that the vehicle was available and we set an appointment again... to drive 90 minutes to see this vehicle to find out when we got there that it sold just before we got here. Instead of calling us, to save us the trip, they did nothing. Thought it was very unprofessional to drag it out for a month and then to have us come all that way to find out it was sold. The person who we dealt with didnt even have the courtesy of coming out and telling us, they had someone else talk to us. Again very unprofessional.

I bought a 2015 Jeep from another dealership. After a few days of having the jeep the dome lights started leaking and the vent button on the sun roof did not work. I called the dealership I bought the car from and they took it to Champion to have it fixed for me. I received the car back and nothing had been done. I took it back there when it continued to leak and they said they couldn't find where it was leaking and had to order the part for the sun roof which took several days (since when can't they overnight parts?) They had my car 2 days and do not offer a rental car service and I heard from no one, I had to call to check the status of my car. I took it back a third time to have to vent button fixed, I just left the dealership and it STILL doesn't work! I am furious! Do they not check their work before they return the car to the customer?! I will NEVER return to this establishment, I will take my Jeep to the other dealership in town. This place is a joke!

My salesman Isaac was amazing at Champion in Lansing. I admittingly was not the easiest customer. He was patient, understanding and professional. I love my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. I got the firecracker red with black. One thing he pointed out is it has a button to turn on and off the gas saving feature. Otherwise you would think it sounds like it's restarting. You can turn that feature off by a push of a button if it bothers you I'm used to it already. The manager, finance person and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Kudos everybody!

I took my van in to get looked at because the transmission was slipping. After getting my van back and driving it the transmission was still slipping so I took it back. Now once I got everything squared away with the warranty company I took it back to have the transmission replaced with a refurbished transmission. That was a mistake it is worse now then it was before, when I make a left or right turn the transmission slips bad and my active traction light comes on which I don't understand and its only been about three weeks since ive had it back and the transmission still slips and now it's making a clunking noise when it goes into second gear.

I would've given this dealer a "zero" star rating if yahoo allowed it. They told me they could have a car transferred from one of the other Champion locations (sister dealer) but by the time they tried to have it transferred over (3 days later rather than the day that I was there) it was "sold". It's now 5 days later and the vehicle still shows online but amazing the cost has gone up $1500. THESE PEOPLE ARE DISHONEST CROOKS.

I contacted the dealer about two cars in their ad,...

I contacted the dealer about two cars in their ad, to see if the cars were available. The woman I spoke with, said she'd check with her manager, came back, and said yes, come in at 3pm (about 2 hours after my call) and see the manager about the cars. I come in a 3pm, meet the manager, he shakes my hand and hands me off to a sales person. The sales person takes down my information, and leaves me at his desk for several minutes. He then returns and says the car I'm most interested in is gone. I ask about the other one, he looks on his computer and says he can't find it on the website, when I mention again what it is, he (I felt rudely) turns his computer monitor to show me that it isn't there under his search. So I left work early, after calling to confirm these cars would be available, and wasted my afternoon to be treated rudely. If this wasn't some kind of intentional bait and switch, at the least it was shoddy treatment---would not trust them to do business again.

I rarely write reviews but I am very upset with the service department. Brought in a brand new Durango and it needed a shock replaced. I was going out of town so I told them they had the whole week to make sure everything was repaired. My husband picked the car up on Wednesday. I get home to drive it on the weekend and find that not only is the noise still there, but there are gouges in the paint on the front bumper. Call back on Monday to let them know my displeasure. Bring it back that evening, only to wait for over an hour to be told it needed another shock. Ask about the paint issue that I know was not there when I dropped it off. After some discussion, I'm told the scratches will buff out and they will touch up the paint. Shock should be in in 3-4 days and they will call in the morning to let me know when it will be delivered so we can schedule an appointment. I had to call back 3 days later to schedule the appointment. They did pay for a loaner for this period so that I did not have to take time off of work. I never received a call to let me know my vehicle was ready, so I call 20 minutes before I'm due to leave work. My service advisor tells me to hurry there because they are all leaving at 5pm. The day before I was told 6pm. I had to go to Enterprise first, so I was not able to get there by 5pm. (also, neither of the other 2 clients waiting at Enterprise to go to Champion were told to hurry there by 5pm) When I returned to pick up my Durango, the paint touch up looks like my kids did it. The service advisor tells me he'll have the service manager call me first thing in the morning. Yup, 1pm and still no call. My husband has tried to contact the general manager and has not heard back. This has been the worst dealership experience I've ever had.

Just stopped by with my daughter to test drive a Jeep Wrangler 4 door..... I'm not sure if it was the Buick sedan I drive in with but I could not get any salespeople to come outside and help.....I left when about 6 sales associates came outside to see the accident that had just occurred on West Saginaw but couldn't see me and my daughter interested in one of their vehicles. I was very disappointed since I have fallen in love with the Jeep watching "Trail Recon" channel on YouTube. Not necessarily buying today but you never know. Heading to the Subaru dealer now.Maybe the Jeep culture/family isn't for us. I hope this was a anomoly and maybe the sales team had Christmas on their mind. Happy holidays to all.

I will follow up with how things went at the Subaru dealer

Went into service to get a routine oil change and was warmly greeted by Tina. She was wonderful, very friendly and made me feel like I was the only customer there, there were a few cars in the drive and about 4 other customers in the waiting area. They were pretty busy so the oil change took a bit longer than expected but everyone that I encountered made the wait very comfortable. Before my service was done Tina went over my vehicle with me to make me aware of everything they looked at and anything I needed to be aware of. I will definitely be back for future services that I need.

This may be a conflict of interest because I manage a repair shop. I won't say where from so you can see I'm not doing this for publicity. But we have had two and only two experiences with their repair facility. One on a vehicle which we didn't have a Chrysler specific tool to communicate with a transmission. After literally 4 parts and a $3000 bill they suggested the repair we suggest but could not verify to begin with. A simple 15 minute test which we described using their tool could have been done yet they failed to do it until they replaced all of those parts. Low and behold that's all it needed. If I had not known the business so well I would have probably been convinced by the service writer that each one of those parts was necessary to diagnose the next, as they claimed. Even after explaining this to the service manager he refused to refund a dime of the repair, until I told him who I was. Needless to say we have not dealt with the shop sense. Even finding another place to buy parts. But this last week a customer of mine had a vehicle breakdown right by their facility and took it to them. They charged him $95 to diagnose the problem. When asked, the mechanic told me, that he simply sat in the vehicle the clutch went to the floor and so it must need a clutch. It also had a code for no communication with the ABS module and he claimed to have diagnosed this by testing for power and ground to the module in question. This customer didn't like the estimate given to him to replace the clutch so it was towed to our shop. Where we found the clutch simply needed to be bled. Finding this we decided we should probably diagnose the ABS module ourselves. Low and behold, it had come unplugged. And had obviously not been touched by anyone recently. Explaining why the clutch lost fluid and the code for the ABS......Stay away! This place will rob you blind with a smile. And even if you could prove it they would fight not to pay you back.

We live an hour away but found a van we wanted to test drive at Champion. We ve been researching this vehicle for a while and were excited to find one at a good price. We scheduled an appointment for a test drive the next day and received a confirmation email and text for our appointment from the dealership. We drove over there in our un-air conditioned vehicle on a disgustingly hot, humid day, to test drive and hopefully purchase our new van. When we arrived, we were told that they drove the van down to Ypsilanti that day to show another customer. They never contacted us to say not to come as the vehicle wasn t available for us to see. A complete waste of gas and time to drive over there for nothing. We are so angry!!

The service department let me drive off with a loose wheel. I called about the noise and was told it was something else. Thank goodness I have a trusted mechanic! The service manager's response when I brought this another similar concerns was "did I want something?" What I want is a service department that I can trust to diagnose correctly, do work honestly and thoroughly (no one should EVER be allowed to drive away with a loose wheel), and not try to do or require more work than what is needed. I see that, based on reviews here and on Yelp that I am not the only one with issues regarding the service department here. I am currently having work done at my trusted mechanic that is probably covered under my warranty - I would rather spend the extra money than have to worry about my car.

I received an email and a letter in the mail stating they would offer me more than blue book on my 2016 Jeep and get me into a different vehicle with lower payments with guaranteed financing. After sitting for an hour. They came back with an offer that wasn t even at blue book for trade in and told me there was nothing they could do for me. They never so much as even asked about my income. So much for financing for everyone! They use false promises to lure you in, just to put hard inquiries on your credit. I bought my original Jeep brand new from this place, plus my credit has since improved, and I have NEVER been so much as late on a payment. But this is the customer loyalty I m shown. It really felt like they didn t even want to try.

Service was excellent. I had my only ignition key stolen and was able to have my van towed to champion. They called to communicate with me through the process and in no more time than originally planned also took care of a recall issue and rendered the stolen key useless while it was there. They then called me to pick it up and I was there I'd say no more than 10 minutes.

And I was in the market for a Dodge Challenger hellcat widebody, and I went to a dealership in Ohio and had one custom-built. Due to COVID-19 I wasn t able to get my car in a timely manner so my search continued. I found a hellcat redeye widebody in Illinois and I attempted to make a deal and purchase the car from that dealership, and just by talking on the phone I can clearly tell that these weren t the kind of salesman that I wanted to deal with!! The next day I googled best rated dodge dealership near me and champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep popped up so I gave them a call!! I was lucky enough to have a gentleman by the name of Ben to answer the phone and I told him what my situation was. He then started to go above and beyond to ensure that I was going to get the car that I wanted, and he were tediously to process and close the deal !! The carbuying experience that I received at champion Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Lansing Michigan should be an example of what car buying or a car shopping should be!! I cannot express enough my deepest gratitude and thanks to everybody at that dealership who made this deal possible, and they have a return customer for life !!

As it stands, we will never visit any Champion group dealership for sales or service in the future, and now have no interest in purchasing additional Chrysler vehicles.

We returned to Champion on Thursday morning, March 7, and met with the Service Manager. We provided a copy of our service receipt clearly stating the use of CVTF+4 fluid, the correct fluid for our vehicle. He did not believe the receipt. He showed us vials of new CVTF+4 fluid (green) and fluid removed from our vehicle (red), and said that since all CVT fluid is green, our mechanic had ruined our transmission. We had researched CVT fluid earlier, and discovered that it comes in several colors (green, red, blue) depending on the manufacturer. When we explained this to Jeff, he became very defensive, insisting that we were wrong, and variously accusing us and our mechanic of lying. He claimed he had called like 10 fluid places and they all said it only came in green. He refused to listen to us. He actually cut us off mid-sentence several times and finally said, I wanted to work with you, but if you re going to accuse me of lying, I m just not going to work with you. I was shocked by this. We are customers of Champion Auto Group, faced with a $27,000 vehicle under warranty that has undergone major mechanical failure and the Service Manager (who represents Champion group as well as Chrysler itself) is refusing to work with us ?

In summary, my Patriot sat at Champion for 13 days. No apology was offered for the mechanical failure of the vehicle, for the misdiagnosis of a fluid type error (which would have cost me thousands of dollars had I not questioned it), for suggesting that the brand name of fluid would void our warranty, or that the actual time from warranty approval to finishing the job was much longer than we had been told. This is not to mention the rude, uncooperative, and disrespectful treatment we received.

How does an individual with no customer service skill, or knowledge of basic automotive fluids, obtain the title of dealership Service Manager? Why did no one ever say, We re sorry the vehicle didn t live up to your expectations. We ll do everything we can to make it right ? Why were we accused of lying, and the burden of proof laid on us at every step? We did nothing wrong; the transmission had simply failed, and the message to us through this entire process was that Champion Group, and Chrysler, would do anything possible to avoid having to cover the failure under warranty.

Pretty ANGRY! This dealership literally lied to me every time I contacted them about a car, I told them I was coming out to view it, as I lived pretty far away, I also included my phone number because their inventory was pretty low. Had they said oh I am sorry the car sold can I show you something else I might have considered something else INSTEAD I had to track down the lazy sales person even though I told her I would be there at a specific time, waited about 10 min, instead of her saying right then the car was not there, she proceeded with I need additional info to better serve you.....NO! I am here to see the car you assured me was still available....."oh the car just sold" Highly doubtful it wasn't the greatest deal and it was pouring rain. "OH let me help you find something else" I was specifically looking for a used car for my daughter....they had NO inventory. I know because in the 10-15 min it took to track down the sales woman I had walked the lot twice..... Moving on to another dodge dealer, funny thing is I ONLY purchase Dodge vehicles. In fact I own 3 now and was actually looking to buy 2 cash today! Blown sale....Note to sales men be honest I respect that more! There were really nice sales people who offered to help but I understand how commision goes and wanted to stick with the one I had been speaking with.... You know what I will go ahead and say Monae is a horrible sales woman.

Do not under any circumstances buy a car from this dealership.
The sales people will lie to your face, with a smile, like they're your best friend.
They even acknowledged the salesman, who was let go for similar incidents, lied to me, but have no intention of honoring the lies.
Oh, and the so called SmartWay program? Don't fall for it. This company preys on people trying to reestablish their credit. And judging from the phone call I just had with them, it sounds like it's run out of some dudes home... in Howell, MI.
The mechanics are pathetic. They couldn't even find a 2 inch hole in my exhaust pipe, yet want to charge you hundreds.
Within 30 days of driving off the lot, the right front caliper froze up, and they tried to charge me to replace it. This, after it was "Inspected" by their professionals before I left the lot.
And their finance guys? Pretty much pathetic excuses for humans. They treat you like dog crap, talk down people.
Save yourself a ton of headaches: DO NOT BUY OR LEASE FROM CHAMPION JEEP!!

i did buy a new 2014 jeep aobut 3 months ago from them and when i was going through the process i asked if my company had a discount program though them and he said no. then i called jeep myself and they said yes. so i got the info i needed and then i called my sales person back and told him that and he said he would look into it. so i went there a few days later to get part on jeep that was missing and i asked him about it and and he is like u would only save a few hundred. but in all i would have saved more and all he was worried about was his pay check. also no calls to see how the new jeep is or how its running. total classless dearlership. oh and im looking to get another jeep but wont go back there for a new jeep. maybe if the management would read these comments and solve the problems my they would not get so many bad reviews.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I brought my truck in for what I thought was warranty work and they said no it's not covered by warranty. After the work was done I paid and was on my way. I questioned when they said no and did investigation and turns out that what I paid for was actually covered by warranty but instead it was more money in their pocket to charge me instead of them getting paid for warranty work. Be warned. Trust but verify!

I was very disappointed by the deceptive measure that Champion used to get me in their dealership. I have been practically stalking them to test drive a vehicle and finally was told it wasn't at the dealership but another lot. they assured me that they would bring it over for me to drive the next day. I set up the time and was excited to finally be test driving this vehicle. I arrive on time and right away was asked about my trade...huh? I said that I never spoke about getting my car appraised and my purpose was to test drive the car. He disappeared and came back with Pat, the Used Car Manager. Pat told me that he didn't ask for the car to be brought because it was indicated that I wanted to stay around a $200 payment and that wasn't possible with a $20k vehicle. I was stunned. I told him that I didn't get into all my specifics with the receptionist, that I was annoyed, and not interested in their deceptive practices to get me in with a lie when they knew I was there. I had planned on paying cash for half the vehicle so I was aware the cost and payment. Shame on Pat! Don't tell the customer they can't afford something when you haven't even heard anything about them yet.

it really didn't matter what was said after that because that was my reason for coming in. Not to talk about trading in or anything else. I was lied to and deceived about coming in to test drive this vehicle and Pat even stated that he didn't bother bringing it because basically I couldn't afford it because I wanted to stay around a $200 payment. I am not dumb and planned on putting up to $10,000 down on the vehicle.

Disappointing to say the least. I would suggest that you assume nothing and just ask the person so that transparency is key. Otherwise, your company looks very deceptive as I was very clear.

Thank you for listening.

They were easy to work with as I leased my 3rd vehicle from Champion Chrysler dealership. This is the 2nd Jeep Cherokee Latitude I've leased with the help of sales consultant, Kim Allen each time. Dealership is all smiles and friendly until after you buy the car. After that it s like pulling teeth trying to get them to even return a call. After owning the car that I bought new for only a couple of days a piece broke. I took it back and was treated very poorly. In order to get the car repaired I had to bring it back 5 times. Every time I have them do any repair I have to bring it back multiple times. They promise to call u back all the time and never do and never fix it properly. It was extremely sad how they treat people as soon as they make their sale.

Great personal touches with prospective buyers. I did not feel hassled. I was completely turned off by another major dealership in town, when I absolutely felt pressured to buy before having the chance to review anything. Champion and the entire team, from the Tricia, to Gage, to Casey all were very easy to talk to, and I did not feel pressured at all. I had specific requirements, and they met them exceptionally. Will definitely be a repeat customer.

My wife and I were in the market to trade in our Jeep for a new Jeep model. These days there are so many options for buyers and I was ready to travel and do what it took for the right vehicle at the right price. Josh Matties quickly reached out to me with a phone call and made himself my go to Jeep Guy! Champion had a perfectly optioned vehicle in stock, Josh set us up with it on an extended test drive. At that point we were ready with numbers and Josh made it happen. We were happy with the trade in value and the selling price. We are now the proud owners of a new Jeep knowing Josh Matties, Todd, Melanie and the rest of the team are there for us! So this is the 3rd new Jeep we have bought at Champion in the past 6 years and it is great to know we have our very own CJDR Dealer here to take care of us! Thanks Josh for being so knowlegable, caring, patient, and productive! We will be recommending you to our friends!

I truly enjoyed the attention and information from your sales person Will Borja. He is very knowledgeable about cars and was able to find several vehicles that meet my needs and within my budget. Thanks again for a wonderful, pressure-free experience.

Great people and they do good work. However, they seem to run a lean crew of mechanics which means even the most basic of service visits requires you bring a book or laptop to keep you busy. 1.5 - 2 hour is normal wait for oil change + tire rotations. At least that's been my waiting time avg over last 4 service appts for same general maintenance.

I was looking at used vehicles at Champion and was greeted by a really nice young lady who said her name was Samantha. She was very patient and helpful in trying to find a car that would work for me.
Unfortunately, I had some unexpected expenses and won't be able to purchase a vehicle quite yet. However, when I am able to afford a car payment I will be coming back to Champion and asking for her.

Went there to look around and test drive a car. I told them my budget and expected payment. I knew what I was doing going into it. They insisted that I do paperwork to find out what my payment was etc... It doesn't take paperwork and having your credit run, etc... To be able to determine what my payment is when I'm already pre-aproved through my bank. I already had my financing in order and was simply looking for the right car all I needed to know was the overall price of the car to be able t tell if I could afford it. They would not relent on having me run through paperwork. I finally told the salesman that I wasn't interested in doing any paperwork I'm simply here to test drive a few cars in order to decide which I liked. At that moment the "pushy" salesman attitude switched to "I could care less about you and heres a different salesman that doesn't care about you because I don't deal with used cars" Handed off from one worthless salesman to the next shoving paperwork down my throat and disinterested in even trying after declining to fill out their paperwork. When done with a test drive he told me to "Park it where ever" got out of the car and simply walked off and back into the dealership. I wouldn't buy a can of green beans from these guys if I was starving to death. Absolutely worthless salesmanship. More concerned with finding out how much money they can con you out of and shoving a car down your throat. Would have given 0/5 if were an option.

Everyone at the dealership was super friendly and helpful. Kim Allen did an amazing job helping me purchase the Jeep I wanted, while staying in my budget. I've been to other dealerships that were just interested in selling me anything or didn't really listen to what I wanted. Kim made sure she understood what I was looking for and did everything she could to help me respectfully.

Great experience. Jacob (sales consultant) did a great job making us feel like we were the top priority while we were there and they helped ensure our purchased vehicle for our family needs and budget needs. A great option for anyone regardless of your situation.

Jacob Vermetti was very easy to work with and went out of the way to help make purchasing a car possible for me. I wasn't able to get time off work and he offered to come to my work to have me sign the paperwork. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for going above and beyond.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The level of rudeness of the sale people at this location is incredible. I leased a 2016 Jeep Compass (horrible car), and they tacked on a $300 "etching" fee to the car. Then the sales person failed to go in detail that if I do not sign on to another lease that I would have a fee of $395 at the end of the lease. Then when I went to turn the car in, they stated I could only do it on certain days. What a stupid premise. Its due on a Friday, I am not waiting until Monday to drop it off and being fined for it. And I am taking the lease right to the end. Plus when my lease was ending they called multiple times a week to get me into another Jeep, even after I said I will not buy/lease another Jeep. They also advertise "amazing" deals but then when you go on site, you need so many qualifiers, its impossible. I would never do business with this location again.

Service was quick. Phil is a nice guy and knowledgeable. Luckily, we have a warranty, so I only paid the deductible, but I think their price would have been on par with what I researched on the web to have that service done. Everything was done in a day.

Sean, our salesman, was fantastic. Soren, who helped us in the shop, equally as fantastic. I won't say that my experience didn't go without incident, but those 2 men did absolutely everything to make sure my family walked away more than happy.

There is so much more to say about my experience, but in order to keep it short I can only think of one other thing. I made these people chocolate chip cookies. That's right, they were that good.
