Used Carmel to get to JFK and then while we were traveling they sent an email suggesting that we might want to use Carmel to get home upon our return to JFK. My driver didn't keep me waiting that much (maybe 10 min.) although I arrived 30 min. earlier than I had originally indicated. He was also friendly and knew the shortest way to the hotel. It was very easy to make a reservation, and the payment was smooth. I will use Carmel for my next trip to NYC.

I was impressed with the service when I saw their Ad at JFK and called. With 10 min the car was there and we had a great ride into the city. The driver was prompt and professional. I had a smooth and safe commute to the airport.
Our ship was late in coming in, they were great about it had driver leave and we called once off ship and finally ready to be picked up. The company didn't hit us with any additional charges due to this. Drive was great call me a few times to let me know how close he was to the ship pier as there was an event in NYC that day and traffic was detoured due to closed streets.

We just used Carmel car service from 37th St & 8th Ave, NYC, to LGA for a family of 3 with 3 pieces of luggage. Our driver, Ekrem, was courteous and professional. We rode in an impala which had plenty of room, it was very clean. We were even picked up a little early before noon, and it only took about 35 minutes to get to the airport. I booked a sedan for a friend of mine to JFK from Manhattan. The friend s impression of the service was average. He gave the experience 4 stars because he was picked up and arrived on time. But he told me the car was dirty and looked below the conditions of average car running on the road. This is embarrassing! I myself have never had a single car sent over by Carmel that could be characterized like that. Maybe not many drivers wanted to drive early in the morning? But I don t think I would hesitate to recommend Carmel to friends in the future until my own experience prove otherwise.

Used Carmel to get from LaGuardia to JFK. The booking process was very easy and there was great instruction and communication via email. The price was less expensive than Uber or Lyft. Indeed, with two people it's just as much as a shuttle but you don't have to wait for it or have to Theride around other terminals. The car was ready immediately even though I ride half an hour earlier than what I booked it for. Very nice clean large car. Friendly and courteous driver. The ride was pleasant and felt very safe.

Used Carmel both arriving into JFK and departing from JFK. Always quick picking up at airport - easy to find, and they always call when they have arrived at your pickup for your return trip and advise they are waiting for you. Cars are clean and neat. Drivers are pleasant.

I choose Carmel when needing to get from NYC to CT and back. Carmel is explicitly pet friendly as opposed to Uber of Lyft, where it is up to the driver whether they will allow a dog. My rescue chocolate lab has been nothing but welcomed with Carmel drivers and it has always been a smooth experience.

Booked a car and they made me walk to the designated pick up area. When I get there I am told that the car I was told was booked was unavailable for 20 minutes. Unhelpful service on the phone and unreliable service to book - you won t know if you have the car when you book. Not using them again. Try Dial 7 - better service there.

I scheduled Carmel for service from LGA to Manhattan. It was my first time using the service and everything turned out perfect. The journey from JFK to Manhattan was ok. The driver did not speak good English so was very quiet. The car was clean and tidy but quite old. There was no clear explanation that we would have to pay extra for tolls and the driver could not explain clearly how much the toll charge was. I also down loaded the app and asked for my booking to be added via their website contact page, but this wasn't done.

The first phone rep was not very good or helpful, but the second, named Dakar, was very helpful and followed up to help us connect with our driver. Our driver, Haim, was cordial, prompt, and also a safe driver. It was a long fare - 45 min - but chatting with him made it pass quickly and pleasantly. I would recommend, especially as the fare was about 20% cheaper than UberX, and there was no difference in the end experience.

Very good reliable service. Unlike other Apps, they don't raise their prices at peak times. Just beware that when going to Newark Airport, you are responsible for tolls in both directions. On my most recent trip to Newark Airport, the driver found alternate routes to avoid Manhattan tunnel traffic backup. And he was a wonderful conversationalist. I have never used a car service before, always thought they were out of my price range but for my latest trip from Seattle to New York I was arriving on a red eye at 6:00 am and I needed to be in Long Island later that morning and I didn't want to rent a car. Ironically I googled best ways to get from JFK to Long Island and Carmel Car was one of the first search results. After reading the reviews I went with them and prayed for the best. They exceeded my expectations. I called the 1800 number when I arrived and the driver was there within 5 minutes with a sign with my name on it and he whisked me in air conditioned comfort straight to the door. No fuss, no muss,, and I had pre-paid the tip so I didnt have to exchange any cash. It really was perfect and I would totally do it again!

I took my 90-something-yr-old mom to her first doctor's appt since the NYC Pause ended. This is the first time we've used Carmel for this type of trip and it was a perfect experience from start to finish: our driver was early; he was kind; he was careful to park where my mother could exit and enter the car with east (this was on the Upper East Side); the care was immaculate. The ride was booked as a round-trip with waiting time. I was astonished at how reasonable the final cost was, it was not much more than two separate yellow cab trips would have been. We will definitely be using Carmel for future trips of this kind.

Easy to use. Picked us up at the airport and drove us to hotel in times square. I would recommend getting a car size bigger than expected. We ordered a luxury sedan that fit 1-4 people and 3 of us were crammed in the back with no option of the front seat. The driver had the seat full. Otherwise no complaints!
