We had a time set for 7:30 but our flight got in early, we were able to check in and had a car 30 minutes earlier. They have your name in the window which is a great feature with how hectic airports can get. Driver helped with our bags. I also like that there is one set price you can see no matter the duration of the ride, which made it cheaper than Uber because of Uber peak pricing. The $6 off for different types of rides was appreciated also. This is my review but I am awarded $10 Car cash from Carmel for sharing it.

The driver was very good, the experience of pickup was very good, but at the end of the journey I was taken aback to discover he had filled in the amount of tip for me to give, which should have been my choice to make, and it was a bit more than I would have given. I allowed it, but found that disconcerting.

We had to wait a little longer than expected, but it was not outrageous. Our driver was courteous and got us to our destination safely and timely. I did not give 5 stars because I had reserved a luxury sedan and, while the car was fine, it was not a luxury sedan. I would discourage paying for that small upgrade. I would use Carmel again.

I have used Carmel Car for the past two years and always been happy with their service. I used them for a ride from Western Suffolk to JFK this morning. The driver arrived early, helped with our bags, and the trip to the airport was very smooth. We had ordered and paid for a minivan but the car was a more expensive SUV, which was clean and well maintained. Note, I received a $10 car credit as compensation for writing this review, but it is my honest opinion.

Very efficient. Used them twice now and will probably use again today.

Driver arrived on time and arrived in LGA airport from Manhattan with in a half hour. Driver was extremely courtesy. Best thing is you can always reach Carmel by phone unlike Uber or Lyft. While the review is completely honest, i will receive $10 credit on Carmel for this review.

Great service! Reliable and safe. They always arrive prior to departure time to ensure car is packed and that there are no delays. My family uses this service every time we fly and every driver we've had was nothing but professional and a safe driver.

Carmel was early for pick up at the airport and at our hotel. The drivers were friendly and knowledgeable. Avoid! Great at the airport pick ups but two times have stranded me in NYC trying to get to the airport. Both return run drivers had no clue where the main hotels are and the last one could not give a hoot about the pick up was rude and swearing after still not showing up 1.5 hours late for a pick up booked months in advance!

Yellow cabs from NYC on both trips were better!

Excellent experience, the booking process was promptly, and the customer service was quickly to answer my call, upon the arrival of the car, I'vegot a sms notification and the driver was helping with all the luggage. Setting up an appointment for a ride was nice and easy. My driver showed up a few minutes early and the drive went very well. My driver, John, was quite friendly and professional. I'll definitely be riding with them in the future.

We needed to get up to Mount Kisco from New York City and back this past Sunday. Carmel arranged our round trip with a great driver in a beautiful, classy SUV. Everything was timed perfectly and cost significantly less than we would have paid with other services. Our driver was efficient, professional and safe. We always use Carmel because we know we can rely on them to come when they say they will and get us where we are going on time, safely and comfortably.

I have been using Carmel Car Service for more than 40 years. Even with the super-publicized rates for Uber, Lyft, and Via in NYC, Carmel is still a better deal because you book it ahead of time and the drivers are super-precise and the car immaculate. I'm so happy to have had Carmel all these years! Carmel encouraged me to post this and it's possible they may reward me for it, but I would have done it for no reward as I have been a loyal Carmel customer for so many years!

My driver found me at Newark airport at a very busy time of day and was incredibly patient as we loaded the car. Despite the awful traffic, he was calm and friendly and, what's more, needed no help to find the address I was going to in an unfamiliar part of Brooklyn.

A second post, 7 months later: an equally professional driver who also had to battle traffic from Newark Airport at rush hour. Very easy booking and follow up.

Great for setting up a pickup to or from the airport. LGA is basically a mess with the construction, and he was a little late on the pickup to transfer us the the hotel. I received $10 Carmel cash for the review.

That being said! I've been a pretty loyal Carmel customer for a while now. I don't use them a lot, but whenever I'm in need, they're there for me. I have to travel occasionally for work, and there's no better option for me when it comes to getting to/from the airport. I live in a somewhat distant part of NYC, so it's so nice to be able to set up my pick-up and then not have to worry about a thing.

Yesterday was also the first time that I got my business together enough to actually schedule a return pick-up from the airport. I was a little nervous because it all seemed too easy... but it really was just that easy! I paid for everything ahead of time (which ended up being cheaper than if I'd taken a cab) and just called Carmel as I was gathering up my luggage. About 10 minutes later, I was out at the pick-up area and the car picked me up with zero confusion. And despite the rush hour traffic, I got home very smoothly. (More than once I've had taxi drivers get mixed up when trying to figure out how to get to where I live.) The next time that I have to travel to/from the airport, I will 100% be taking advantage of the airport pick-up service again.

People! Do not use this company! They are not reliable! We have booked them 2 month in advance, paid the booking and they did not come. They told us "we don't have the car available at this time". How come? You have a booking paid ready and you don't have a car? And the security guy from LGA said to us that it always happens with Carmel. So just use UBER, price is the same, even cheaper and service is much better.

I needed to have a ride from New York to the Philly area. I was picked up at my hotel and driven home. The driver was on time, polite, considerate and an excellent driver. I had a very good experience and recommend Carmel Car.

My Carmel driver was early and so was I. He drove perfectly and everything went smoothly until we approached the Holland Tunnel. In spite of a 20 minute delay, He was never impatient. This was our first experience with Carmel. We traveled round trip to NYC from JFK. The drivers were on-time and courteous. The rides went well and it was very convenient to have set arrangements and to have had the opportunity to pre-pay. We ll certainly consider using the service again on a future trip.

I will NEVER take Carmel car service again in NYC unless you refund this fair. Your service was recommended to me by a friend and I am not impressed. Our driver did not speak English, and was rude when we didn't understand him -the car (actually a dirty stinky van) was disgusting and I was nauseous with how he was driving...the car smelled of cigarette smoke - I have complained to the company and will let you know what happens.

Horrible experience. Was left at the airport they never came to pick us up. Pre paid via travel company. When I called they wanted to charge me extra to pick us up. Took an Uber which was way cheaper. Will never use Carmel again

We have been using Carmel for about 35 years. In the early years, there was only one other car service. I started with Carmel and their service is better than ever. I have tried Lyft, Uber, VIA and Gett, but after problem with the first three, I went back to Carmel. Their cars are spotless, their drivers polite and always on time. Even if it is a little more money than some other services, I went back to Carmel, and it is worth it. They get you to where you are going on time, in one piece and without any detours!

We used Carmel today, to go to Saturday brunch and our driver Mamood was a perfect gentleman, hopping out to open the doors for us. The trip going cost the same as a yellow cab, coming home. I will always be a Carmel customer.

Simply, my first time using this service coming into the city (NY). I have always used Carmel on my return trips back to the airport, and have always been pleased. I was a little nervous on how it would work out from the airport. They did not disappoint. Service was superb. They communicated with me each step of the way so I knew exactly what and where to go. I ve needed to make a number of longer, 90-minute trips by car service this summer and Carmel delivers quality service and professionalism that is unmatched in the industry. On time, courteous and safe, their drivers are head and shoulders above the Uber/Lyft folks I was using previously. Many of the cars have plastic dividers for extra safety during this time and the cars are impeccably clean. Highly recommended. My driver called to announce his arrival before my pick up. He assisted with my suitcase at the start and end of my trip. He was a careful and considerate driver, and offered to moderate the temperature in the car to my liking. He was pleasant, without being too talkative. While I might receive Carmel cash for this review, it was the most comfortable and easy car hire process and ride I've experienced in a while.

I did not receive car cash credit for writing this review lol. Listen, Carmel has the best rates for what I wanted, which was a Sprinter Limo for 14 people for my wedding. At first, I was a little wary of using them because of all the bad reviews. There was a little hiccup at first with them calling me 2 days before the wedding saying there were no sprinter limos, but they pulled through and found me one. On the day of, I was worried, but our limo driver - shout out to SHAFI - was there ahead of time just waiting for us. I ordered the limo early because I was worried they would be late and we were running a little bit late, but Shafi was there when we needed him. He was patient and kind, took us where we needed to go and did not show one ounce of displeasure with our big group going in 100 different places. He was also so intuitive to what our group needed - my photographer wanted to take a photo with him lying on the street, but there were cars that kept coming - Shafi blocked the traffic with the van to allow for the shot without us even asking! Come on!! Who does that? He made me day so easy and worry free. If I ever needed car service again, I'd happily book with Carmel and ask for Shafi!

Booked a round trip sedan, what I got both trips was a filthy mini van. Drivers do not speak English. Almost got in 2 accidents because the driver was playing on his phone!!!! Take and Uber!
