We ordered an ECONOMY taxi through the app from a hotel in Dubai from the Emirates Mall to Sharjah airport. It was a Sunday afternoon, there were no traffic jams. The application showed the cost of 100 dirhams. A white Lexus has arrived. We said several times that we were going to Sharjah airport. They loaded things into the trunk themselves. Go.
The driver talked on the phone for a long time about his private business, discussing iPhones, children, etc.
On the way, when he had finished talking, he began to tell us something, that we had indicated the location incorrectly, that we needed Dubai airport, he talked about something for a long time, apparently with the dispatcher, tried to explain to us that we needed to indicate the location differently, we didn't understand how. Cancel the order, pay and order again? But we definitely booked Sharjah Airport!
In the end we arrived at the airport and he shows us 192 dirhams to pay!? In response to our explanations that we ordered for 100, he called a policeman. He explained his truth to him, we explained ours. They understood that we were traveling in a limousine, not a taxi, in a business car and had to pay according to the price list. He didn't have any meter in his car.
They argued for half an hour, spat, gave the extra hundred and flew home. Natural divorce!
Don't get into any Lexus if you want to go economy.

The driver maybe pretends that something is wrong with the booking and collects the fare in cash, then the amount is also debited from your card. Wow so you end up paying twice. The customer care does not exist, as I complained 3 times and no answer at all. Something has to be done to this company.

Actually my ride fee higher than expected not because of traffic problem. It s cheating. I asked the driver do I need to pay by cash. He said Yes . After the trip, careem charged me again with credit card. OMG. How could it be!

I paid for Careem Box service and never received a receipt for it, and the service is not showing on my account!!
I contacted customer service via phone and email, and they only thing they have to say is we can t send you a receipt !!! Now I have to pay from my own pocket for a work expense cause Careem don t know how to send receipts to their customers!

This is very bad experience that Careem never care thier Captains. The company only listen only one side that is customer not of Captain. Without any reason the company block ID only knowing one side mean customer information not of Captains. The company have to know that captains are working for many year and having Good ratings. When One customer complain that is fake complain not know suddenly block ID.

Failed to take my food order. I ordered the first time and they had a system issue, the money from my card went to the careem wallet. They asked me to reorder and use the credit. Surprise, surprise, the order was cancelled because they did not have available drivers. I asked them to refund the money back to the card and now I have a negative careem balance. Great customer service. Instead of compensating you are penalizing customers. Keep it up! Customer centric

I used to be a big fan of Careem as it has always been reliable and always given promotions and deals. But recently I had bad experiences where I had to wait over 10min for a taxi (although the app was saying 2min away). This happened many times. And now the latest: I have changed phones and tried to login on the app with my new phone. Not possible. Even after resetting my password (multiple times). And the worst part is that in order to speak to a customer representative, I have to do it within the app!!!! As the number provided on google gives an automated response! Brilliant

This review is regarding people who are thinking of using the careem bike. I purchased a plan from careem bike and once I had completed all payment processes, I tried to unlock a bike and the application would not allow me. I tried to unlock each and every bike on that station and it did not work. After 15 minutes of searching for a proper customer service number I can actually call, I reached out to one of the customer service for assistance and all he told me was try again. I had to ask for a refund and I am still waiting for the money back to this very day.

The Careem (Uber) service has revolutionized the taxi world in Dubai; it has to be said. They are efficient and reliable. That said, they have, on the downside, created a monopoly and as such prices have gone to the stratosphere. Yesterday, due to fact we had 8 pax, I returned home from Jumeirah 1 in an 'economy' Careem taxi whereas my friend picked up an RTA cab from the same venue with our remaining guests. I paid Dhs 80 whereas my friend paid Dhs 45 for exactly the same journey. Hey guys..great service and I wouldn't mind paying a slight premium for the convenience but almost double is just profiteering. Folks are facing financial difficulties in Dubai right now so your efforts in increasing prices to unaffordable levels are not welcome.

Useless bunch of amateurs, messed up bookings twice in one night for my families last night in Dubai "yes the car is on the way" 1h45min later.... after we had missed our birthday table reservation.....

Horrible experience!! Their drivers never turn up, even though u get a msg your driver is here. When you call the driver repeatedly through careem & directly, they dont pick up. And after making the customer wait in the sun for 10minutes they will automatically cancel the ride and charge the customer an exorbitant amount for it. Sadly there is no helpline number on careem app that the customer can call directly to report that its not his/her fault, the lazy driver isnt there and not picking his phone. Horrible experience. Everytime i book a careem im late to work and end up getting a regular taxi. The arrogance of these people. Their customer support team is lousy. Hasnt once gotten back to me despite several complains.

Yep, used to be one of my favorite modes of transportation around Dubai. Not since September. Drivers press the arrival button way too early, some wait for me in a totally different location of what has been ordered on the app and don't bother move their vehicle to the original place of arrival. Not to mention that the 2-min waiting time is becoming a trade mark and if you didn't remember what time exactly you have ordered the taxi, you might end up waiting beyond the 10min max waiting time when you're actually able to cancel the ride for free... Nowadays I'm trying to avoid this service as much as possible and using the metro in stead.

I am always using careem everyday for going to office and to home since last month till now but today I wanted to use my points and I clicked on Redeem because I have 31k more points for free of 2 rides supposedly but then it didn't work. They cheat me. They want me to go to website which is I am confuse why as I already have the apps installed in my mobile. I am so disappointed about this. I attempt to call on their landline number but it didn't work too. They automatically end my call. So disappointing.

This company took my money without my consent and is totally ignoring me every since... I would highly recommend anyone to be very very careful while using their service and check what they charge you.

On my last trip, the meter was at 49 AED when i left the car but they charged me 493 AED instead.
I have wrote everyday since and placed 10 complains on their app and for many days now no one bothered replying to me. And the landline is an answering machine.

See attached print screen of the same route I did the day before at 45 AED and the next day they charged without my consent 493 AED while the meter was at 49 AED. Until now no response from Careem....

I would give 5 negative Stars, they almost made me lost my flight, I booked the night before a Max car to go to the airport and the day of the ride, the car did not showed up, they did not send me any communication so I decided to call them and they told me that they have no Max cars available, that they could send 2 Normal sizes cars. No other solution available, so after receiving their confirmation on the night before and called them to reconfirm they came up with this, obviously their confirmation are worthless. Careem is Unprofessional, unreliable, amd I would not recommended at all, avoid by all means.

I was promised by a manager that payment would be immediate! No compensation offered but hey we ll take your money!

Worst driver and service. Have never seen such unprofessionalism. The driver was rude and had kept on circling as he didn t know the directions. He ended up in the wrong place and asked us to leave the car. We called the police to resolve the matter. Will not use this service again and recommend not to use it.

I entered the wrong drop off location by mistake. However the captain dropped me to the right location without asking me for any extra amount despite the trip was already ended and the right location was 10 mins far away.
I did however pay him extra amount happily which he was refusing to accept at the first place. Such a gentleman.
Captain was also very kind to help me with my luggage and his car was super clean too.
Had an awesome experience with Careem. Keep it up

My Careem captain shows up at the wrong address and then when he finally arrives the ride has been canceled by the phone officer. Finally the officer told me that there was another captain on the way but since the supply is short it would Take some time. All this while I m being roasted outside in this summer. I called for car the taxi did not reach to the location and actually he was really far, however, the driver posted he is on the place, I was calling the driver for around 15 min just to guide him to the place. I tried to cancel the trip I got the message I have to pay 20 AED for a driver who never reached. They are expert in making money

Today at around 8:16 I called a ride, prior I purchased the package of 8 trips, 2 trips I already used. When we arrived to the location the driver clicked on the panel and it was written that there is "4 dirhams to collect", I explained that I purchase the package of 8 trips. He declined and asked for a full payment. I was trying to explain that it it written on his meter that I have to pay only 4 dirhams, however he was still arguing not letting me go. I had to involve building security who witnesses the whole situation. As I was late to work because of that situation, I gave him 30 that he has taken + 4 dirhams I had given before. Now in my app I have this trip deducted + I paid 34 dirhams to the driver instead of 4. I have video to prove his behavior and the fact that I paid 34 dirhams. I would like the manager to contact me.

My app was blocked for no reason then I sent an email so I got an answer saying we will get to you soon after a week I sent another one after that someone called me from their miserable customer service. Unfortunately the problem wasn t solved at all, and above that the company took the payment twice after I used it once using cash To the driver and the voucher for the second time. After all of that they are asking me to sign up using another email. What kind of poor services are you providing for customers, dealing with a well-known company should be professional, however, the services from what I see are less than poor and it s a shame for a company like Careem to lose customers from a team which is not bothered to show any help or reasonable solutions. Furthermore this email was sent directly to those whom are responsible enough to give some training for their team and teach them how they should manage customers well but as usual no response for it.

I have two bad experiences with Careem which i like to share, first time was in Kuwait, i requested "economy" car, they send me Toyota Corolla, then later on the day i thought that i might need a bigger car so i requested business car ...... they send me the same car "Toyota Corolla" and charged me higher fare ... then when I complained they said that Corolla is considered luxury car !!!
The second case even worse ... i booked a driver ... then 10 min before he arrives he called me saying that he has a flat tyre and i should cancel the booking and make another one ..... Careem charged me cancellation fees before i cancelled two hours before the pickup time!!! and until now am waiting for their costumer service to update me ...
